We had doors that needed repairs and replaced and called ACE Handyman for service. They gave me a window of  2-3pm. Ben showed up at 2:15, and went straight to work. He was able to fix the doors in about 20 minutes. Ben is very knowledgeable and efficient but most importantly, he is friendly  and personal. I hope this message makes it to the people running this company because  Ben is fantastic  and deserves recognition  for his service. "Great  Job". I am now a loyal customer.

UPDATE: The Ace Handyman team and Jeff took our concerns very serious, they reached out, and resolved the situation. Given that and their friendliness, I would trust them in the homes of friends and family members. No one person or business is perfect, but by their actions, they strive to do right by their customers and take their sevice and reputation seriously. We will be using them again and hope you give them a chance as well!

INITIAL: The technician was very polite, a pleasure to work with. Would have him back!
The guidance we recieved from our initial call with the owner did not include offering consultation service to see/ understand the issues beforehand. So, agreed to a time and price we thought would fix our large issues but spent much time finding out 2 of our biggest issues weren't fixable in the originally quoted time. We paid over $400 for a fixed fence latch, a tweaked window, and time spent going to/ from hardware store. We didn't have our banister fixed nor was the lock issue b/c the technician forgot their allen wrench. In other words, ancillary small things were done but now we have to pay more for even longer hours of work to get our primary issues fixed. We wouldn't have paid $400 for these little things had we know before. One of the issues (the door lock) should be fixed on Ace since the screw wasn't purchased during the store trip. Nice, kind people, but not the best first experience for the price point.

Arrived on time and was asked to repair a door jamb with PVC where rotten wood was. Not sure he had all the correct materials but he did ok for what he had. The resulting job does not match up with the existing door jamb so maybe this job was a bit out of his range. So as a result another problem has been created that wasn’t there before. The weatherstripping is not able to seal the door. Also did not get quoted the $60 service fee when I booked the job over the phone.
Use them again or recommend? Maybe.

Great experience with Ace! Jeff was efficient, friendly, and completed the work effectively. He helped take care of some other small maintenance issues as well once completing the main issue. I will certainly use this company again!

Jeff came out early and was kind enough to wait for me to arrive rather than driving off like other contractors have in the past. He was knowledgeable, friendly, fast, and performed excellent work. When he was done with the drywall repair and re-anchoring of curtain rods he helped me replace the batteries in some very high remote blinds, all while chatting about both our recent moves to Virginia. Jeff is “good people,” and that’s as high a praise as anyone gets in my book. Definitely recommend. Five stars!

Glass Doctor of Sterling

I'm in town helping my mother and this company sent someone to install a window for a new home purchase. The installer had no idea which window was being replaced. He walked in the door with wet boots and grumbled when we asked him to either get boot covers or remove his shoes (we have new hardwood floors). Somehow he tracked mud all over the bath tub. In general, very poor experience lacking professionalism. Would not recommend.

After almost a week of waiting and numerous back and forth emails and me having to go out and do preliminary measurements myself  I gave up and called Robin at Glass Doctor regarding a replacement bow window for our home. Robin proceeded to tell me that her " vendor" said a replacement window is unavailable which I found very hard to believe. When queried as to whether a tech would be dispatched to look at and measure the job she said the trip fee for an estimate is $95 because of " fuel costs". It is only 19 miles from the Winchester Glass Doctor location in Winchester to Front Royal so even if they were driving a tank it doesn't cost $95 to drive 19 miles. I contacted one of your competitors in Stephens City VA and a very professional polite and knowledgeable gentleman came less than 24 hours later for a free estimate, measured the job and emailed us an invoice for the job less than 24 hours after that. There was no trip fee. Replacement windows are available by the way. You all night want to retrain Robin and/or switch vendors as she and they just cost your company a $3000 window job and a customer. Don't deal with these people.

The company was easy to deal with, the prices were good and the workmanship excellent. I had my glass shower door replaced and the new one is superb.

Will take your money and make worth than it was

PuroClean came to do a water mitigation after a pipe burst and ruined most of our floors. They were incredibly informative and thorough and made us feel very confident about the entire process. Sub Zero weather caused a cold water pipe to break.  After calling my insurance company, I called 9 different water mitigation companies.  PuroClean was able to fit me in the next day. We hired PuroClean to estimate some black mold we found in a single room of my home. Mr. Rick Van Dyke, the estimator came out on the Friday I reported it to my insurance company. He supplied me with a full detailed estimated. His crew showed up on Monday moring as planned , with everything needed to complete the job. The crew was above exceptional, very polite and were generally concerned about my concerns with the mold. They explained in detail what was going to happen in the process. I never heard them nor did I see material leave my house, it all went out the window. The crew followed up 2 days later to recheck the room and remove their equipment. In this day where customer service has a lot to be desired, I would highly recommend PuroClean for the fabulous work ethic and their customer service.

It is hard to put into words what a good experience we had with Rick Van Dyke and Puroclean.  Our situation was heartbreaking and dire.  We live out of state and learned of my mother-in-laws death and discovered she had been hoarding and that her utilities were shut off due to the hazardous nature of her property.  Within 2 hours of contacting Puroclean, Rick was on site on a Saturday and took nearly 400 pictures to show us the gravity of the situation.  That same day he had a quote and his team began work 2 days later.  It was my greatest with that I could spare my husband some of the shock and horror of how his mother was living.  By the time we arrived in Virginia, we were able to safely enter the home thanks to Rick and his team.  Throughout the whole process, he was kind, empathetic, extremely communicative and went way out of his way to be helpful. Just installed my shower glass this week.  It looks great!  The install guys, Mike & Cody, were punctual, quick and did a nice, neat job.  Prices were comparable to other suppliers and once ordered, glass arrived and was installed in the committed time frame. I ultimately chose them for the ShowerGuard glass sealer so I hope that proves to be a smart decision.  So far it looks great! I would recommend them.

We purchased a very expensive custom shower door from this company in 2021.  Not too long after we purchased the door, the bottom sweep began to stick.  They wanted $200+ to come out and fix the problem.  The repair guy who came removed the plastic sweep, cut the flanges off, slid it back on and told me that the original installer should have done that.  Despite the fact that he admitted that the original installer should have done things differently, he still charged me.

Less than 2 years later, we contacted Glass Solutions about a second problem with the door, we were told they were no longer doing business with that supplier and could not get the part we needed. We pressed Glass Solutions on the matter (my husband and I both had to repeatedly contact them) and eventually after several weeks, they were able to obtain the needed part and install it for us at no charge.  If you are going to buy a door from Glass Solutions,  you need to find out if they intend to continue to work with the supplier in the future and can provide replacement parts as necessary.  This whole situation was very curious to us.  At one point we called the supplier's customer service number ourselves and found them to be very cooperative.  They told us the part was still being used by them, and that they only needed to see paperwork from Glass Solutions verifying  both the part purchased and that we were the customer. We still have no idea why it took so much prodding and time for Glass Solutions to address our problem.

We are so very pleased with our new shower door! I had originally considered taking on the project but decided to call glass solutions to get an estimate and figure out if it was worth hiring someone vs the time and complexity of doing it myself (never done one before but I’m a little handy). They responded immediately and quickly dropped by for some measurements and provided a few very reasonable cost options.  We decided to go forward as it was a great price and we scheduled the install which was about two weeks out because they have the custom glass cut to fit the shower which was great as we knew there would be no awkward fit we were fearing.  Our installers Noah and Fernando (who also provided the original estimates) arrived and did a fantastic job with the install. They were quick but very thorough and professional. After watching them I was doubly glad I did not try this on my own.  The door is such a nice upgrade for our previously faded and cloudy door and turned out awesome. We couldn’t be any happier - super pleased and highly recommend.

These guys are great! They’ve helped me before in the past with my windshield and today, on my way home from work a rock came up and put a big crack in it. I remembered glass solutions from a couple years ago when they helped me with a similar situation. So as soon as it happened, I drove straight there. As I pulled up, they were all walking out to leave as they were closing. I am definitely not that person that shows up when businesses are closing but I thought they were open later. Well, make a long story short they were so nice to me and told me to come inside so they can see what could be done. Within seconds a gentleman came outside and started working on it. I had Florence fencing install a beautiful black rod iron fence two years ago in Tahoe. This years heavy snow load put a strain on it and Ben came to the rescue and not only replaced my gate bracket that snapped but even added additional ones and repaired 5 other posts that needed to be fixed.

We just had 330 feet of old wooden fence removed and a beautiful new vinyl fence installed. The two installers (Renaldo & Nelson) were very skilled. I felt that quality of installation was their focus. The foreman was out several weeks before the installation and we walked the job site to make sure everything went smoothly during installation. All underground utilities were identified. I now have a beautiful fence with 2 gates. I am so pleased with how the project turned out and my positive experience with Florence Fence. I highly recommend them.

Paul Davis Restoration of Central San Diego County

When I discovered a small leak in my kitchen wall, my insurance company recommended Paul Davis. They came out to do mitigation work for that small leak immediately and found evidence of another, much bigger leak that had caused enough damage that my kitchen had to be partially demolished to do the mitigation work. No one likes to be the messenger when delivering bad news but Thomas and James were incredibly professional and reassuring and were on the phone with my insurance company right away to confirm my coverage and get approval to start the work ASAP. James, Thomas, Tommy, Eduardo and Luis kept me informed as to which team members would be working on my property each day they were here, when they would arrive, what they would be doing and what next steps were every step of the way. They took great care to contain the demolition zone to just the kitchen and keep the rest of my home as dust-free and livable as possible. As an added bonus, they worked directly with my insurance company to handle all payment so it was one less thing for me to worry about.

I hope I never have to experience a water leak and damage again but, if I do, I'll be calling Paul Davis again to get their exceptional assistance!

After reading some sketchy reviews of other glass repair shops, I found this shop through a recommendation by someone online.  It was very easy to schedule an appointment.  The place is a little far out if you live in Raleigh and is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood in south Wake Co.,  but it was easy to find with GPS.  Check-in was a breeze and the waiting area and the interior of the office was clean.  This was my first time getting a windshield replaced, so I was expecting an all day process.  My windshield replacement was finished in less than an hour.   Very good results.  Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful choice for your car's windshield! They are pleasant, efficient and do beautiful work!! Would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a repair! A few months ago I had an issue with a vehicle that I thought was the seal around my windshield. I called Capital Auto Glass, and after speaking with someone there, wad informed it was in fact not anything to do with thr windshield, but that this particular year range for the vehicle had a problem with the upper cowl, causing the problem I was experiencing. It ultimately steered me to fixing the issue myself, while not generating any business for Capital Auto Glass.

Until this week, when I needed to have both a windshield and side window replaced. Could not have been more pleased with the work they were able to do, the communication, worksmanship, and speed. Awesome company all around!
