False advertising, offering this deal until the third of October but I can’t find a single store to honor it, as a business owner I think it shows your company’s colors not honoring a current promotion. Home Depot was willing to honor your advertisement before you! Ridiculous. Unfortunately they didn’t have the items I wanted in stock but I appreciate the willingness. Go to Home Depot if you need any tools they have better prices, honor their deals, and other companies when they won’t apparently!

This review builds on my last review of how much Lowe's sucks.  After selling me a non-working washer, and expecting me to buy another one so that they'd swap out the non-working one for a  working one, I told them to just pick this one up.  They were supposed to text me and let me know the 4 hour window that they would pick it up.  They did not text and did not pick it up.  I've now been on old with their "delivery service" line for fifteen minutes.  I think I'm going to simply have to file with my bank for a fraudulent charge - which is accurate, since I paid for a functional clothes washer and did not receive one.  Good God, what a horrible company.  Don't even consider buying anything from them.

I bought a dishwasher on November 24th and had an install date set for early December. The first install date came and the contractor Lowes uses no call no showed. They rescheduled me for December 27th, and cancelled on me again. A quick google of the contractor that Lowes uses (CRST Home Solutions) showed they have a 1.3 star rating with 150 reviews. At this point it is comical how bad of an experience this was, with many other reviews matching mine. Lowes does nothing to try and make it right. Strongly recommend you use a competitor like Home Depot over Lowes. Its frustrating to even have to waste time writing a review, hope this helps someone. Its also comical to get the equivalent of a "that sucks" from Lowes customer service and there is no offer to even try to make things right.

Everyone was so incredibly nice and helpful today during my two trips. From managers, paint dept, checking out and just in general. Everyone was great and I’ll definitely be shopping here for my home needs from now on.

7 month disaster!  We went to Lowe's to purchase 4 new kitchen appliances.  They require their "professional installer partner" to measure everything.  When he arrived he promptly dropped our double wall one (which there was nothing wrong with) and broke the glass out of the door.  He was also unable to get it back in place.  This is the very beginning of a 7 month ordeal. Multiple incorrect appliances.  Installer taking a sawzall to our cabinets making it look like a 7th grader did the cuts.  Multiple appointments not kept, etc.  Lowe's has stopped communicating when I explained that the microwave they put in is NOT what I ordered and paid for.  Their excuse:  "We ordered the right one".  What an absolute fiasco. Do yourself a favor, unless you are going to carry out the appliances and install them yourself, find another vendor.

The Home Depot

Hortencia helped us out at the register and managed to help us figure out our exempt stuff for the church and was super helpful in the process. She has a great smile and great customer service!

We were able to find all the things we needed for our Gaga Ball Pit construction and the boards were straight. Can't ask for much else.

Home Depot should be more considerate of people who don't get around well.  They set the store up so you come in one door, get what you need, then walk to the other end of the store to check out. Then have to walk to the other end of the store to go back to your car.  I realize they have pickup, but some of the elderly don't know how to use computers to set that up.
Thank goodness for Kevin. He was working at the return desk and was very kind.  He took pity on my 87 year old friend, and checked her out there.
I could have checked her out at the other end of the store, but would have had to leave here there alone. She likes to take care of her own business, like most of us.
Kevin was thoughtful and kind. We need more young men like him.

Off topic- Deserted on Christmas- Not a soul in sight.
Anyways, most the time has what me and my Grandma needs, we like building small things, she's a fan of decor for cats.... No issues with home Depot 9.8/10

I tried to do the survey on the receipt and it didn’t work 😫My husband and I were painting a small apartment and needed to get some paint matched. We dealt with Ed (a few times now!) and he was happy to help us WITH EVERYTHING! He made it easy and less stressful on us. He knew what he was doing and knew what he was talking about! Needless to say the apartment turned out marvelous! Couldn’t have done it without ya Ed!

Great site with friendly staff.  Everything is clean and organized so I read able to find what I needed quickly and get back to work!

Westlake Ace Hardware

My Ego Power Plus Self-Propelled lawn mower would not start. I called Ego and they stepped me through troubleshooting steps and determined it required repair.

This store was the closest authorized repair center to the Northland. I dropped it off with the warranty certificate Ego emailed me and the mower was fully repaired the next day. John was very professional and explained how Ego is good about warranty claims.  John said the brand is solid and doesn’t have products fail very often. Great experience getting my lawn mower repaired before the new mowing season.

They have a knowledgeable staff that is terrific. I needed help in the plumbing section, in a few minutes, the man verified a matching cut out Valve and also showed me the sale on the Tank fill assembly.

Employees are helpful and seem to know where items are located and have the knowledge to help you if you don’t fully know how to fix what you’re working on. The prices are marginally higher than big box stores but you can save time by coming here instead of walking around the competitors. They carry Stihl products that you won’t find at HD, Lowes etc. and repair them as well. Many of the big name products are price protected Dewalt, Milwaukee, Webber Etc.

High prices. Very high. Staff no longer seems informative regarding products or fixing things. Unique products.  Fun to look around.  Just can't afford them.

I went into the 87th St. store in Lenexa twice in one week & both times Sandy helped me, once to help me decide on paint for a project & once to find a missing piece of hardware on another project. Both times he went above & beyond by spending time helping me.

I recently hired a handyman from Ace Handyman Service to replace the frames and sills of four windows in my home that were suffering from wood rot. We had contacted several contractors for bids for our job. It had been 4 months and we only got one bid and it was extremely high. I found Ace Handyman online. I called on Monday and they were working by Thursday. They showed up right on time, did the work as bid and the price was exactly as quoted. They took great care of our flooring while they did demo and even cleaned up after. I would highly recommend them.

This group did an amazing job on my bathroom remodel and fireplace remodel! Our previous contractor had left us hanging after my husband had done all the demolition on our master bathroom. I contacted Lauri and she and her team got started right away! Moving plumbing, moving walls, running electrical, tile, installing shower, vanity, soaker tub, toilet. They removed the outdated fireplace front and shiplapped and tiled it. The guys all showed up on time, worked hard, were very knowledgable, and were professional. I am a very picky person and their attention to detail was GREAT! I enjoyed working with them. My team consisted of Chris, Frank, Jeremy, Daniel, Jon. I would highly recommend them and won't hesitate to call them again!

They contacted me through angi listing and came out to give bid for garage renovation.  Chris (GM) didn't seem too friendly as he stared me up and down a couple times and was a bit rude with his responses. Only time he started being a little more friendly was when it was time for him to leave. Received an email a day or two ago, stating they can't proceed with my job due to structural damages or whatever. I didn't know there was such a thing, and if it was, not sure why he didn't just provide the feedback when he was here, instead of getting my hopes up that they were going to be able to assist, since they are supposedly the "best", and then sending an email just to tell me they weren't going to take on the job.

Dave and Grady did an excellent job. We had significant wood rot around our deck door and they replaced the door frame, threshold, and installed a new door. It looks brand new again. They also fixed two other doors (front, basement) so they would open/close easier and replaced locks. Grady returned for another time to complete the job and did an outstanding job. He had great vision to swap out the used deck door for the basement door (they had just installed a new deck door so the used one was not needed anymore and in better shape than the basement door). He saved us money by using what we had instead of suggesting we buy another new door. Grady was thorough and so knowledgeable. He was easy to communicate with and pleasant. Dave was as well. This was our first experience with Ace Handyman Services and will definitely use them again. Thank you!

School of Rock

One-on-one sessions are highly individualized and rehearsals encourage my son to stick with it. Everyone at SoR is an expert/friendly/helpful. It’s the best choice to nurture my son’s passion for music ❤️

My family and I went here for the Halloween open house they were having and it was an amazing experience! We were able to play music and hang out with the employees it is definitely now a yearly tradition.

SOR personalizes the practices to help each individual find their niche.  It's been great to see my daughter advance her knowledge and skills.

Do not go here if your child has ADHD, which is a neurological disorder. They will never advance past rock 101 due to minor behavioral issues even with the talent to advance.

Instructors are great with aspiring young musicians! Courteous and respectful to the students with high expectations.

Walked around the store for 20 minutes, could not find an employee anywhere. Finally went up front and asked a 20 something yr old kid if anybody was working in electrical. He grabbed another 20 something yr old kid who acted like i was wrecking his day by asking where a particular cord was located. I assumed the cord would be located with all the other cords, but it was not, it was in a separate isle on the very bottom, in a bag. The kid who checked me out also acted like being at work was the worst thing he ever had to do. I did get what i needed, but it truly felt like customer service was NOT what this store was all about. Most ACE's are known for service, not this one.

Nice clean store, well stocked and properly faced. We cleaned up on the clearance veggies and perennials in the end of season sale. The cashier we had did not seem too enthusiastic about being at work but that doesn't negate the overall experience and could just be an off day.

Always help me find items I'm looking for then give me helpful tips regarding application.  Plus I got 5.00 off for my birthday.

I usually do not shop at this ACE Hardware, but today I was in the Olathe area and stopped in to see what they had. It was well worth the stop I found a beautiful large lighted wreath for $19.00. It was the last one on the shelf. The store is well lighted and the staff is friendly.

Terrible service. Online order was ready a day late. The person at the register was on his phone when I walked in and didn’t look up until I said hi I’m here for a pick up. He looked around and said I’m sorry it’s in the back at the “Helpful Hub”. I waited at the helpful hub for 10 minutes while someone just started a random conversation with a customer when I was clearly waiting. I went back to the front to ask for assistance again. It took another 5 minutes of waiting before someone came out from the back. They went back in the back to look. They came back to say oh it’s actually up front. Which is extremely frustrating because I asked the person up front when I got to the store. Why order online for quick and easy pick up when it takes twice, maybe three times as long? I will never spend money at this location again. Train your staff.

Walmart Supercenter

I was overcharged multiple times for items that did not ring up correctly at the listed price. Whenever I call to address this, I was told I would have to come into the store to take care of it. I do not have additional time to have to make another trip to receive a refund on something that was not my error in incorrect pricing in Walmarts check out center. This is a very common issue I have when shopping at Walmart.

My experience at Walmart on Boardwalk today:
I showed up on my way to the airport to buy an electric razor and everything was under lock and key. While I might understand that that is done to protect the merchandise, most of these things come in boxes that are 4x8 in and not easily put in one's pocket.  Add to that the fact that nobody in the store had keys to the cabinet. Four associates tried to open the cabinet and could not, so I ended up having to leave without a razor and having lost about 25 minutes of my time. If you look at the picture, I fail to find something I could put in my pocket and walk out of the store with.
While I am not a frequent shopper to that Walmart I'm probably not going to go back there unless I really need to because chances are it might be under lock and key.

Wal-Mart Corporate really needs to take a close look at the downward direction this location is taking.  The overwhelming consensus from the surrounding area's customer-base is "The Boardwalk/Kansas City Wal-Mart Store #2857 is Dirty, Unorganized and has become a breeding-ground for a Less Than Favorable Crowd, regardless of the time of day".  Comparatively speaking, the Wal-Mart Store #1120 located in Gladstone, MO has quickly become the location of choice.  Clean, Organized and a Much More Enjoyable Shopping Experience...

Always a fun trip never know what u may see & experience. We counted...30 empty check out lanes, 7 so called shift leaders, managers talking & screwing off, & only 1 staffed check out lane w 10 huge full carts waiting. Good thing we only had 8 items & all of the self check out lanes were open. What exactly are we paying Wal-Mart front end help to do? Because it does not have anything to do w helping the public or customer service!!!!

The Asian gentleman with a thick accent (didn’t remember his name) really went out of his way to help me find what I needed, which I really appreciated. Everyone there’s seems very friendly. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because almost all of the products I was looking for was in the wrong spot and therefore not priced correctly. This poor man was trying to rearrange everything into the correct spot. Employees that are stocking need to double check that the items are in the correct spot instead of just throwing them in wherever they feel like and creating more work for the rest of their employees.

Ace Hardware

Always have what I need, but went to get a wheelbarrow and there was no price on any of them. It may be near winter but still plenty of leaves on the ground. I needed a price and no employees around to help me. I'll go back, and hopefully, there'll be more employees scheduled to work.
Update: went today to get some double-sided tape, young man at checkout told me exactly where the tape was. And they have vegetable seeds, 3 for .99 cents. This is a HUGE bargain. Other stores are selling seeds for 2 or 3 dollars. Definitely a great thing to have Westlake.
The only issue I had today was trying to find a small plastic tub to put my used grease in. You have lids but not the tub size I need. Hopefully those smaller tubs with lids will be coming soon

We love this hardware store. The associates are helpful and friendly. Today, after consulting numerous online videos that weren’t able to help me, Bob H showed me  how to detangle and reload the line in my weed eater, with which I’ve had a long-standing love/hate relationship. Thank you sincerely Bob H. My daughter and I are delighted and grateful!!

I recently visited Ace Hardware and had the pleasure of interacting with two exceptional employees, Store Manager Jerry and Cashier Mary. Their outstanding service and expertise left a lasting impression on me.

From the moment I stepped into the store, Mary's warm greeting made me feel welcome and valued as a customer. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to assist created a positive atmosphere right from the start. It was evident that she genuinely cares about providing excellent customer service.

However, the exceptional service didn't stop there. Jerry, the Store Manager, went above and beyond to ensure I found exactly what I needed. He personally approached me and took the time to understand my requirements for a spark plug for my pressure washer. Jerry's extensive knowledge and expertise in the field were evident as he guided me through the store, pointing out the correct one for my pressure washer!

These are not interchangeable terms. Plenty of brick & mortar stores will price match Amazon, including some Ace Hardware locations.

I needed a T20 torx screwdriver for a car repair, I looked at the regular auto parts stores, Walmart, two home improvement stores, and even Harbor Freight and not a single one had one for immediate purchase, that is until I checked Ace Hardware in Shawnee. I was so pleased!! I went in and with a little search, found the exact thing that I needed. Also, there was a cashier fellow who was so cheerful and friendly, even taking the time to enroll me in the rewards program. Although, the man behind me was irritated by my delay, the cashier was polite and apologetic. I am definitely going back and would recommend, especially if you have a specific hardware item, go to Ace Hardware!!😉

Olathe Trading Post & Pawn

Great staff here usually up for intelligent conversations, especially when your interested in talking about something you wanna buy for them. Lol most quite knowledgeable and helpfull. I stop in here frequently to see what new "STUFF" they have. Reasonably good prices on everything I have looked for here. I've bought TVs, binoculars, chargers, and guns. Everything was a good buy.

Completed an out-of-state FFL transfer for a Hungarian PA63 pistol- transaction was quick/simple, shipment was very fast, taking ownership in my state was easy.  True professionals- highly recommend!

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Worked with a lot pawn shops and this place refuses to give a quote for an item over the phone to maintain control and was rude from the jump.

I explained I had the specs, and he still wouldn’t be transparent. I am in in sales and understand the business. Though the call could’ve been handled differently.

Talk about a shady business. I’m sure there’s other associates that are more friendlier in person. I really wish I heard the guys name I spoke to over the phone. From a consumer perspective in the digital age, this place is trash.

I recently purchased a Glock on-line from OTP&P. I purchased this item based on their description and pictures alone. Their customer service was amazing! The firearm was carefully packaged and mailed to my FFL. The Glock condition was better than described. I made a fair Offer that was accepted by OTP&P. I could not be happier with my purchasing experience with OTP&P! I hope to do business again soon, and I would recommend OTP&P to anyone looking for a trusted online seller! Thank you!

Dont waste your time trying to sell them anything. The old guy that i talked to on the phone said they would look at my speaker. I go in to have it looked at and he wouldn't even look at the speaker. Seemed uninterested in doing business completely from the beginning of the interaction. Dont know how they are able to stay open with such a rude person working there.

Huge thank you and shout out to Riece in electronics on Black Friday this evening. He was so kind and helpful. Black Friday shoppers are crazy and aggressive. You could tell he had a long day today being absolutely bombarded by customers. He had a huge line of people and he handled it gracefully and was so nice to everyone. We purchased an Xbox X series and a 55 inch TCL Roku TV around 8pm. He went back and got us our requested items as quickly as he could and somehow managed to deal with everyone else in line with a smile. What an outstanding human and employee. I'd be happy to encounter him again and I wish him the brightest of futures and the happiest holiday season ever. It is so refreshing to encounter a Walmart employee with such kindness and patience. He had such a light-hearted demeanor for what a crazy day he must have had, and I think management should know what a great job he's doing.

Very clean, well lit, great signage, and even helpful employees when you can find one. Although some people don't like self-checkout, I prefer it because it's quick, easy, and I can make sure I'm being charged correctly for each item. No complaints.

I have had some amazing customer experiences. I have staff offer to walk my bags to my car!  (From garden to other side of building where I was.) 🩷

The pharmacy on Alden - superstars! They are friendly, helpful! And the pharmacist - top notch! Helpful, kind, thorough on questions. 🩷

Please remind your employees that are filling online orders, to respect the customers that actually came in person to shop. You have many employees that will stand in front of you to grab an item, block you, don’t say excuse me and get frustrated if you need help finding an Item… you get a loud sigh or grunt…. Customers in the store should be #1, not treated poorly for shopping in person…. They really need a reminder of this. The employees rudeness definitely forces you to make a decision to shop other places instead.

When I place an online order, I noticed my order history and I get so frustrated knowing there have been times I placed Photo orders at this Walmart and they were supposed to be done within an hour or a set time. I would go pick up the photos, invites my order and you have to track down somebody for photos and your photos are not ready. My photos were never picked up And I had to waste gas and time to go get Photos that we’re not there when they said that they would be there. I figured they would have refunded me for not picking up the photos that they had promised that we’re not there. They never refunded the photos , the Walmart is very dishonest And it seems to me customer service is lacking. I have called about this before and my call always seems to get lost in the Walmart system. Also, my eye add, they are doing self check out yet. There is no one to answer questions that they should know. It’s funny how you would think they would put the employees that would be doing check out out on the floor so you can actually get some help finding things but nope you can’t find anybody either when you need help locating things or have a question.
