Walmart Supercenter

I love this Walmart💙 Their staff is great, curbside pickup, too. If you are looking for a shopping mall kind of Walmart, this is not your store. I really like that it is smaller, so it stays clean, and you can find what you need quickly. When you have a toddler, shopping is difficult and takes longer anyways. The employees are quick to find, and they will try to find what you are looking for. Thank you😃

I go places to buy things, and I don't deal with anyone or employees but still asked at check out if I would like to tip... I don't mean this is happening in walmart  but the online order should be allowed to tip bcz someone took the time to look around and gather my items and then the same person or a different person took the bags to my car. I was surprised to know that they can't accept tips by policy. Or maybe is it good for employees so they won't consider them tipped workers and reduce their wages.. again America on papers never like reality

Asked for 2 plastic instead of dragging a cart for 2 items, a cart that just looking at the handle makes me sick as how stick and dirty it is...they felt I am suspicious,  bcz this nation is terrified from anything and nothing... I look around me and I see some smart Walmart detectives watching me...I placed a bag beside me, walked 3 step grabbed something and turned back the bag is gone... I asked who took the bag that answer was insulting... clean the God carts instead of acting smart..

Sorry and restrooms were clean. Liked that they had plenty of love cashier's. I refuse to use self checkout and only do so when there is no other choice.

Nice friendly place to shop. Clean restrooms,  I went in for mrs. Wages canning supplies ..but they were all sold out. But they did locate me to another Walmart store that had it. Was a bit of a drive, but at least my tomatoes/ cucumbers got done in a manageable time.

Westlake Ace Hardware

So often I find what I need at Westlake ACE Hardware! I’ll go in for one thing, and then see the perfect item to solve some other longstanding problem. Sometimes it’s just a better assortment than other/larger stores.
It’s also quicker to get in and out than the big box stores and I’ve found the clerks more knowledgeable.
Good seasonal stuff too.

Very nice people.  This is my second choice for a hardware store since it does not have everything that I need.  I did find a very neat gumball and small nut collector that I had not seen anywhere else.  Also, I do prefer the ACE H/W gloves.

The store nearest to me closed, so I returned to this location...after 35 years! It has staying power for a reason: great service. When the young cashier couldn't find a code for my mistinted clearance paint, the whole crew jumped in to help. They opened another register so the customer behind me didn't have to wait. I was impressed.

I don't go here very often but it's been there for so long, the people are very helpful I had to get a vent for my dryer and they were very helpful with me getting it. They have pretty much anything you need in the way of household repairing

Their staff have really stepped up their game!  Friendly, helpful and willing to spend time with you answering questions about a project, helping you find things or bouncing around ideas on how to fix something.

Amazing experience here, had a gentleman greet me warmly when I walked in the door despite being busy helping another customer. I didn’t catch his name, but it was the same gentleman who also offered me popcorn when I walked out the door. I should note, it was Black Friday and most retail workers moan when they hear they have to work that day, but not this guy.  Home Depot definitely doesn’t make you as excited to be there as Westlake does! Thank you Antioch Westlake.

I've got to congratulate this place for pulling off the combo of misleading a customer while still treating it like it's their own fault. Today I returned an online order I picked up here. The store manager/owner took the product, and didn't give me a refund. How on earth does that work? After processing the return, the manager claims he couldn't give me the refund because the original purchase was done online, but he only informed me of this AFTER he 'completed" the transaction. Lying through omission doesn't sound like the best business practice to me. In response to the simple request for a customer service phone number, I was told that there was "no obligation" to help me. help myself get a refund for the item I returned. And again, this lack of basic courtesy came not from a regular associate, but the store manager himself. I too used to go to the location on College and Quivera. The difference between the 2 locations is like night and day.

Awful service. Asked for help twice from the same employee who was talking to what sounded like a friend. First time walked me close to area and pointed. Second time, still talking to person, I asked him to confirm hardware was in package since I could hear it rattling and he arrogantly explained yes, you can hear it. Bought something I asked if I could return. Cashier said yes with receipt. Returned a few hours later with said receipt and different cashier said I could not return, not on receipt. The code did not match but amount did, clerk error? Asked if cashier code was on receipt, thought he'd remember me, and newest cashier said no and again could not return with a rude and arrogant tone. Used to love Ace Hardware at College and Quivira which has closed. Will not return to this one at College and Antioch.

Good store, clean and not cluttered. Staff is usually helpful and will make sure I find what I want.

I like Ace Hardware.  The employees don't let you browse to long before they ask if they can help you, if they didn't already intercept you in the front of the store.
I didn't need to go on a half mile walk to get into the store like I have to with the big box stores .  I'm in and out without a long wait to checkout.

Lowe's Home Improvement

12/19/23 9:30 am. Was outside looking for a pot to plant a plant from my mother in-laws funeral 2 yrs ago. A present for my wife. It was on the top shelves. I hollered for help. The cashier didn't bother to come out of his warm I closed both till I grab the ladder on wheels. Told me I couldn't do that. I asked him to help me then. But no, he had to call someone. When I went to go pay. I asked for a manager. No one was There. I asked for a supervisor. She came and wouldn't look me in the eye and was very condescending to me.  You all are just rude to customers anymore

Our purchase of a dishwasher this afternoon was involved due to the cancelation of an incorrect previous unit purchased in error. Salesperson # 4585016 did an excellent job getting everything right in a timely manner. 👏

Disgruntled customer here. Last Thursday bought a dishwasher found out that night it didn’t fit space is 23.75” Friday called and talked to an associate and he suggested a different one not in stock and would have to be ordered I said I would come in next week and return/buy the new one. Came in today and talked to a different associate about the size and that I had the dishwasher to return in the car she said would have to return and order the new one. Went to return it and the associate there was confused that it wouldn’t return then found out about the 48 hour return. I’m hoping that something can happen to fix the situation and that the employees may be educated to inform customers in the future. The signage on the return policy is nonexistent except in the return department. Don’t know what my next reasonable option is but shopping here is not in the cards

My husband and I along with a friend of ours went to Lowes on Saturday March 25th at 10:00 a.m. to get supplies for a fence she is putting up next weekend with her step dad. We came to the store with a list of several supplies and my husband asked if we could get someone to help us out that knew their way around the store. We got set up with a young man named Tony. Tony took his time with us and helped us find everything we needed and even pushed one of our flat bed carts for us. His customer service was superior and even though he was wearing a mask we could see his smile. Thank you Tony for going above and beyond for us and making it a fun experience.

Well kept plants, wide selection, great deal on my huge basil and parsley plant.

Ace Handyman Services Kansas City

Arrived promptly on time. Very courteous and professional. I had a couple of interior windows that needed the framing reinstalled. He did a great job on them. Then, cleaned up the area very well. I am very pleased with the service I received and the cost was very reasonable. I will not hesitate of call Ace Handyman for any future projects I have. Thank you!

Ace Handyman Services Kansas City did a fantastic job on replacing the ceiling vent fan in our main bathroom.  From my very first contact with the company all the way through to job completion and payment, everything went extremely well.

During the job some minor technical glitches occurred.  None of these technical glitches were the fault of the craftsmen.  In each case all along the way, I was consulted on status and options for successful resolutions.

Without any reservation, I highly recommend Ace Handyman Services Kansas City.

Very professional.  Had the move furniture downstairs and upstairs.  Very please.  Very careful to not damage walls or doors.  I would use them again.

Walmart

Went to this location to buy a marine battery. 1st rep I asked to unlock the cage to get the battery didn’t speak English. 2nd one didn’t speak English but understood that I needed a battery. Left and never came back. 3rd rep understood English said he didn’t have keys and would be back, never showed up. Finally I grabbed a manager and she unlocked the cage. Poor customer service, parking lot was a challenge as you dodge customers fighting for a parking space. I’ll never come be back

This is the worst Walmart that I've visited in the KC Metro. I was there for less than five minutes because they didn't have the three items I came in for (kosher salt, ground beef, and a refill PK of eclipse gum).

First, I think they're probably being robbed blind. In five minutes I saw at least three separate individuals blow through the entrance gates with products in their hands and then run for the parking lot. On an aisle I was shopping, I'm pretty sure I saw someone stick product of their shirt out of the corner of my eye. When I got to the front of the store, they were several employees just standing around chatting as the entrance alarms went off. No one seemed to even be paying attention.

Second, as I said above, they didn't have three simple things I was shopping for. I've been let down by the store many times in the past and this would be the last visit for me.

Finally, the place is filthy.

I do not recommend. I never have what I need and I think the place is downright dangerous.

Terrible customer service, asked an employee to get something out of a case and was told I needed to go to customer service. Went to customer service they paged overhead and I waited around 15 minutes for no one to show up, went back and they paged again. Waited another 10 minutes for no one to show up and my girlfriend and I had to track down several employees to eventually get someone who had a key to unlock it. Every employee we had asked pretty much said the same thing and that was to ask customer service.

The only reason I don't give one star is because it's close to my house. Almost all of the employees look like they wish they were anywhere else in the world. Listening to the way the manager talks to his staff, it's apparent why they feel that way.

I rarely go to Walmart to begin with because I usually have a less than pleasant experience. They have now completely lost my business. I was there trying to find something when I had 3 different young boys who worked there walk right past me and ignore me when I tried to get their attention. I finally was able to ask one of them for help when he called for another employee to come help me and then the boy he called over looked at me, turned his back, and walked away. The other boys were off with their friends who came into the store to visit. I complained to a manager and they knew exactly who I was referring to. That alone should say enough. It is beyond frustrating but really just extremely rude more than anything. Stop hiring young kids if you’re going to just reinforce unacceptable behavior and awful customer service. Doesn’t seem like you’d be missing much without them.

The Home Depot

Home Depot, located at 95th and Metcalt in Overland Park,  KS is my preferred supply store with reasonable prices, very helpful staff to help and assist in making purchases. In-store kiosk for list of independent individuals specializing in gardening, small building projects...  Seasonal selections are great.  In-store specials.  WHAT IS DISAPPOINTING IS THAT MORE AND MORE ITEMS OTHER THAN TOOLS AND HARDWOOD MUST BE ORDERED ON-LINE FROM HOME DEPOT.  Wheelchair accessible,  Ample parking.  Pickup services available for online orders.   07-17-2023-  Mgb.

Shopper restored this 1938 Ford pickup and put a Chevy 450 chromed engine under the hood.  Nice!

Our online order fulfillment with delivery was rerouted to the Midtown store without our knowledge.  There were several issues, including broken items, less than the quantity ordered, and really poor quality of the items loaded by their team. I don’t recommend this particular location as they don’t seem to consider the quality of products be delivered to their customers. Now, because it will take more time than we have to wait, I’ll get to go pick up a Home Depot truck, load all of these poor quality items up, take them in to exchange them, and waste part of the day. I’m sure they’ll refund the delivery fee and waive the cost of the rental truck, but that’s not the point.

Kyle B helped me at 95th and Metcalf. He was So Awesome. He was knowledgeable,went above and beyond, was so kind and friendly. Felt like he had my best interest at heart

Always a great location for your home improvement wants and needs.  Usually have several choices to select from.  They have competitive pricing.  Be sure to sign up for your veterans discount

They have the nicest little mini Christmas trees during the holidays. My sibling bought their very own Christmas tree this year and it was beautiful. They are probably out of stock late in the Christmas season but earlier on they have a great selection. They also cut wood for you just like home Depot which I didn't know. I didn't realize Lowe's was kind of like a home Depot until recently. Haha what do I know? 😂

Went to HD and couldn’t find a tall tree. Went to Lowe’s across the street and glad I did the selection was amazing and got tailored services

Products here have generally been reliable, ranging from garden supplies to tile to ABS plumbing to storage solutions. When we've done store pickup for online orders, the staff have been friendly and efficient. Recently got some very helpful info about the store's inventory (this location and others in the area) from one of the staff members working in the garden/outdoor section — thanks Doug! Highly recommend checking with the staff if you're having any trouble tracking down a product.

Dustin in dishwashers and appliances
Was fantastic to work with and anticipated my needs. He showed a genuine interest in my dishwasher selection process and helpfully guided me along. He also has great product knowledge.

The store itself and staff were very helpful. If i need specific items, i will come back again. However, i will not be coming back to buy any appliances i plan to get professionally installed. I'm giving this Lowes a 1 star because of the installation and delivery service we received.

We bought a washer and dryer from lowes and schedule professional installation. The guy proceed to bring the appliances in but did not install them. When we asked why, he claimed that the vent was not long enough for the dryer and it was too tight of a squeeze to get the vent it.. My wife and i were able to complete this action within 10 minutes easily.

The installation service overall was horrible, a lazy individual who did not want to do the work himself. I'd highly recommend buying your appliances elsewhere if you plan on getting them delivered and installed by this lowes branch location.

I am here visiting family. Basically I have to say that if I didn't know that I was in another state...it feels that if you've been to one Walmart, you've been to them all. This one felt like the rest. However, there was only self checkout available. I have a spine injury and sometimes it's difficult for me. It would've been nice to have 1 lane open as an option for those who need a bit of help. But signs of the times.
The produce department was very nice and fresh.

Great store. Even as some prices are skyrocketing, Walmart keeps certain everyday items affordable. This store is always clean. Checkout is fast. This is my go-to store for groceries, clothes, and much more!

Came in for an oil change, as you can see from the pictures, it obviously wasn't done. Look how brown the oil is. Fresh oil is always a very light color. Don't know if you can tell from the dip stick that it is dark and over filled. Also, now my tire censors don't work either.

Walmart has become a mess since the cashier less check outs have come out. The isles are always filthy. When you need help you can't find it. Cardboard pieces laying around. Sam would roll over in his grave if he could.

Ordered 4 Chineese food dinners.  The gentleman helping me was extremely helpful & nice.  Sesame chicken was delicious.

Second favorite store if you can't find it at the Depot there's something wrong with you. You might have to rig something up but you'll get her done. No seriously great buys I'm a painter so I save on their Pro extra account and they have a great team.

Curbside pick up at this location is not great. You pull in to your spot, enter the number for check in and 20 minutes later you are still waiting. Walk inside to get it yourself and workers are just standing around doing nothing, socializing, petting dogs, etc. Very poor customer service. If the order us ready it should be brought to us pretty shortly after we check in on the app. Do better!

Very terrible customer service, does not have a have any clue about meeting business proposition. I was quoted for a flooring project, I paid the full amount and the quote clearly stated including delivery of material. After three weeks of calling and begging the store finally delivered the grout but not the tiles! When I called in they stated , well sorry the driver forgot to pick up the tiles and you have to pick it up yourself; i requested to speak to a manager and the assistant manager “Eric” responded saying “I will get back with you”, never called or responded. I went to the store and requested to meet with Eric. The front of the store assistant called the manger office and the store manager “Ryan” responded and then after sent 3 different associates to speak to me instead and all three said both Ryan the manager and Erik the assistant are on break! LOL. The manager is afraid to address the customers and resorts to sending his associates 😂🤣🤣 such a “manager” and the funny part is all three associates had a different story to tell. I ended up taking the material myself and ate the scam.

this particular Depot had the electrical section near the entrance to the store. Made it great to get in and out quickly

Came in with a 1.5 year old Ryobi 2300 PSI pressure washer that I had been having issues with. Dept Manager, Brian made an even swap, no questions asked. Appreciate them standing behind their product and one of the many reasons we shop there.
