Walked around the store for 20 minutes, could not find an employee anywhere. Finally went up front and asked a 20 something yr old kid if anybody was working in electrical. He grabbed another 20 something yr old kid who acted like i was wrecking his day by asking where a particular cord was located. I assumed the cord would be located with all the other cords, but it was not, it was in a separate isle on the very bottom, in a bag. The kid who checked me out also acted like being at work was the worst thing he ever had to do. I did get what i needed, but it truly felt like customer service was NOT what this store was all about. Most ACE's are known for service, not this one.
Nice clean store, well stocked and properly faced. We cleaned up on the clearance veggies and perennials in the end of season sale. The cashier we had did not seem too enthusiastic about being at work but that doesn't negate the overall experience and could just be an off day.
I usually do not shop at this ACE Hardware, but today I was in the Olathe area and stopped in to see what they had. It was well worth the stop I found a beautiful large lighted wreath for $19.00. It was the last one on the shelf. The store is well lighted and the staff is friendly.
Terrible service. Online order was ready a day late. The person at the register was on his phone when I walked in and didn’t look up until I said hi I’m here for a pick up. He looked around and said I’m sorry it’s in the back at the “Helpful Hub”. I waited at the helpful hub for 10 minutes while someone just started a random conversation with a customer when I was clearly waiting. I went back to the front to ask for assistance again. It took another 5 minutes of waiting before someone came out from the back. They went back in the back to look. They came back to say oh it’s actually up front. Which is extremely frustrating because I asked the person up front when I got to the store. Why order online for quick and easy pick up when it takes twice, maybe three times as long? I will never spend money at this location again. Train your staff.
