Troy was amazing today! He was very thorough and walked me through what he saw. He even pointed out a fire hazard with my dryer! My dogs liked him too, so you know he is a good person. I was very impressed with his service today.

Today I was visited by Troy from your company.  He was professional and thorough checking both the air conditioning unit and the furnace.  Amazing tech.  He represents your company well with his knowledge and expertise.  Explained all my questions and even showed me pictures of stuff I couldn’t see in the crawl space. Thankyou!

We were having issues with our downstairs A/C unit maintaining temperature during the day. I contacted Aire Serv and was able to get a technician out a couple days later. Our tech (Chris) went right to work and quickly figured out that the whole-home air filter in the blower was pretty dirty and likely causing the issue. We got that resolved, and Chris also gave us some advice on taking care of our HVAC ourselves (we were new to the home and didn’t even know the whole-home air filter was a thing). Really appreciated his diligent work to quickly resolve our issue during these hot days.

Troy was very attentive, efficient, and knowledgeable. He was able to teach us something new about our AC system. He also taught us the most cost-effective way to keep our system running. If we ever need your services again, send Troy our way.

I spoke with the office early this morning and there was a crew to look at my a/c by 1pm.  Ralph and Brandon did a thorough job of checking out the problem I was having and did a great job of correcting the problem.....quickly and efficiently.  They were very pleasant and easy to work with.  Thank you for being so responsive to my a/c problem.

David, Justin and their team did an excellent job packing up my home, then bringing back my contents and unpacking. This was all a result of water damage I had.

When my hot water heater exploded, my insurance company dispatched Paul Davis to help with cleanup and mold mitigation. (Hot water heater in the attic or a townhome meant water was in 3 levels of the home.
In less than an hour, I had spoken with a rep from Paul Davis, and within two I heard from the crew assigned to my home. Antonio was my point of contact on the ground, and he was communicative, arrived when he said he was, and treated my home with incredible care and respect. His team included Richard and Cam, and the three of them helped prep my home for restoration. Over the four days in my house, this team of men were quick, efficient and clean. Bravo to them - I’m so glad my insurance company worked with Paul Davis. The experience went as well as it could have, given the situation.

Paul Davis Co. has been GREAT in taking care of the water damage to my home.  From the first call everyone has been SUPER nice, calming and very attentive to the needs of my job.  David Rogers and Richard Hodges were the 1st phase evaluation & Demo Team and did an Awesome job.  They took the time to help me understand what would take place and keep me calm at the same time.  This was devastating inside water damage that happened while we were out of town and water ran for days.  We are now starting the reconstruction phase with Donnie Dickerson  and team and they are just as nice and Professional as Phase 1Team. So far even though this was an unexpected unpleasant situation, everyone I have worked with has been great.  Thanks Paul Davis for having Awesome and very Professional employees!!!

I am pleased to say that the Mitigation team lead by David with the assistance of Richard and Jasmine provided stellar service. They were very professional, informative, and explained the process as they dried out my floors from water damage. They ensured that they kept me up-to-date during the entire process. I would recommend this team to anyone.

The work itself was fine but a few months later, we got a letter saying that a lien was going to be issued on our home?!

Our insurance company has apparently been dealing with communication issues with the company for months (the issue happened almost 8 months ago) and has not been resolved.  Both sides have said repeatedly that the insurance company (Liberty) pays Paul Davis directly.   After hours on the phone, the issue was identified within PDs quote/billing system.

Obviously, aside from the stress of water damage and subsequent repair an administrative issue leading to a threatened lien is not what a customer wants.  I have spent hours on the phone trying to get this fixed with multiple missed calls and unreturned messages.  As of this writing the issue is still not resolved and is the fault of Paul Davis.

Avoid at all costs!!!

Ace Handyman Services Greater Triangle and Johnston County

Kitchen cabinets needed to be trimmed for new stove to fit and changing bifold closet door to sliding doors needed to be installed. Everything completed smoothly and perfectly on the day I called and requested service. From my initial call to completion was 10 star experience! Polite, professional, and kind! I will definitely use services in the future and recommend to others! I will definitely request Robert on future projects!

The craftsman who performed the job was absolutely unmatched and his skill set is unequaled. He is comparable to the old school carpenters that really knew their stuff. No Tick-Tock could pull this off. Thank you Richard for a job well done.

Artem arrived promptly on his scheduled time to clean our gutters. Our gutters were overflowing with leaves and pine straw because the gutters had not been cleaned in a long time. Artem went straight to work and did an outstanding job on our gutters. I have used Ace Handyman Services Greater Triangle and Johnston County previously for other handyman needs of the typical homeowner and will use them again. I have them on speed dial and you should too!

The contract was for power washing the house and drive way. The worker “ Brandon” was a very nice person he tried his best with the equipment he was given for doing the job. For cleaning a drive way, a special surface cleaner is required, but he has a wand. I called the office and complained about sending the worker without the right equipment. The person on the phone said that she was not aware that the job needs a surface washer!! She said “I will talk to the owner and get back to you”, she never did. Brandon worked all day using the small wand but the drive was not done. The next day one of the owners called and we agreed to send Brandon for about 2 hours to finish the drive way as best as he can, and I agreed to forgo the house cleaning and pay the price quoted in the contract. Brandon came the next day and brought a surface washer and worked hard for two hours, thank you Brandon for your hard work.
The job was not done satisfactorily as you can see from the picture and the house was not power washed. But, I am glad I don’t have to deal with this for now. I will finish the job on my own.
In conclusion, I will never use this company again for power washing.

I own a rental property in Raleigh that was in need of a facelift (paint, a few new light fixtures, a new faucet, and a few shelves hung). Dan and his coworker were the perfect guys to do it. They were honest, prompt, had great prices, and most importantly did amazing work! Everything they did looks great and they were very pleasant to work with. Royal Railings

After getting several quotes on having our staircase re-done, Royal Oak Stairs was by far the best price wise, but more than that, I felt very confident after talking with Jay about my project. He was very responsive and helped guide me on how to execute the vision I had. They finished the project in 2 days (and we have a pretty large staircase) and it looks phenomenal! I never thought I would get so many compliments on a staircase. Can't recommend them enough.

We can’t recommend Royal Railings enough. Since we have an older home we needed a more custom solution, just standard out of the box railings wouldn’t work. Jay and his team came out and designed historically accurate and beautiful railings for our front porch. They came out better looking and much higher in quality than we ever expected.

Jay Owens of Royal Railings came out to view and estimate our stair railings within 24-hours and quoted me very directly what options and prices were available.  He helped me "dial in" exactly what I thought I wanted.  He also "set me straight" about considerations that ultimately helped me make a more informed decision.
When it came to the install specialist, Mike was just as impressive.  Very quick to schedule with me and very punctual and precise about his work.  We highly recommend Royal Railings and thoroughly enjoyed meeting/hosting Jay and Mike.

We had a great experience working with Jay Owen's and Royal Oaks Stairs.  From working with us on our design to the final product we could not be happier.  His carpenter Chris is a true craftsman and transformed our home to the modern design we wanted.  I highly recommend them!

Paul Davis Restoration

I now regret hiring this company and if you have not then I suggest that you "run" while you have a chance...do not hire them. They had a good talk game with a lot of promises of how they will do things, but do not hold true on promises.  Also, what they do not tell you is that they hire local general contractors which are not qualified, low budget to them and in my case very disrespectful as well as not doing good work. I contracted them to replace an interior and storm door.  They have made 6-trips to my house and still it is not right and they get upset when you complain about the work. The door is crooked, does not close properly, leaks and so much more.  I am just tired of them coming and at this point will when I get the monies have someone to properly repair what they have messed up.  This has been my worse experience ever with a company.  I had to end up calling the corporate office and even then it was just a loop around. So much that I can't even write all that has gone unprofessional and substandard about this company.  All, I can say is that you need to look for another company.

I submitted my claim with Liberty Mutual the night of our incident. Paul Davis Restoration called that same night to let us know they would be over the next morning. Mathew was very professional and knowledgeable and quickly accessed our damage and went to work to mitigate the issue. He kept in contact with us and assured us no further damage to our sub-floor would occur.

The service was prompt, efficient, and easy. Matt was available for every question that I had. I truly felt like they cared about what they were doing. Unfortunately that’s a rare quality these days! And so I was very pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much for helping out when the tree fell on my house!

Silver State Heating and Air

What a Godsend.  After another repair company didn't want to bother with repairs on old furnace, we called SS and Dennis came and got us going, which was a challenge.  He  not only went the extra mile(s) to get a part and clean the furnace, he seemed genuinely concerned for our welfare (being old folks!)   Great guy, good company, fair price.  Can't say enough positives!

My sister and I had a exceptional experience when we called Silver State for a heating repair. This was after calling our maintenance agreement with another company who informed us they could not come out for maybe two weeks to repair our furnace, WTH. Silver State came out the next day, fixed furnace and came back the following day to continue to fix the furnace until it worked properly. I am setting up furnace maintenance agreement with them... exceptional wonderful guys! so grateful.

Silver State Heating & Air has exceeded all our expectations.  After a HORRIFIC year long experience with another contractor, they saved us.  They came in and fixed the repairs needed.  Dave did the repairs and did a phenomenal job!  Great attention to detail.  They're a local family owned company who cares about this community.  Bill, the owner, is awesome & cares about people.  He is honest & will be fair.  I can't say enough about how happy we are now, after a bad experience.  We will only use them in the future, if needed.  Thank you Silver State!

Tholl Fence

I booked Tholl Fence to do a relatively small repair to my backyard fence but they originally told me it might take a few months for them to get to my fence. However, they called just a few weeks later and said they could send someone out in a couple days so that was a pleasant surprise. The repair looks very good and clean and will definitely use Tholl for any future fence repairs!

OK people....listen up...Tholl Fence Company is simply the Best. As fourth Generation Nevadans (Reno/Sparks) we couldn't be more pleased with their recent work at our home. Thirty-five years ago we had Tholl Fence install the original fence here and now we have had them back to install some new in our front yard and repair/replace the balance as needed. The job took a full week to complete. From start to finish they were simply superb!!!  From Garrett the estimator, the office staff, Nick the residential superintendent,  and finally the awesome installers Jose and Ulises were all  fantastic!!!!  If you are in the market for new Fencing look no further!! They do have a waiting period but make no mistake it will be Well worth the wait!!!

We hired Tholl to install fencing at our home in Montreux and had nothing but issues with them.
During installation they dug up and broke our waterline and underground electrical and just buried the damage in the post hole without notifying us. We had to hire an outside company to fix their damage because Shawna said “they are not responsible for the damage” because we didn’t inform them of the locations of the pipes and wiring!

We withheld final payment on the botched job because it cost us as much to have it fixed by the third party as we owed for the complete job that was not done satisfactorily.
Well, Tholl turned us over to a collection agency which put a lean on our home to collect the final payment.

Shawna works in the office was rude and would not accept any responsibility for the damage caused by their workers which they hid from us!

Please learn from my mistakes and use a company that has higher ethical standards and knows the value of good customer service!

Seemed great at first. Then I talked to other more knowledgeable individuals and decided to return the materials as they were over priced and not exactly what I needed and there's a 15% restocking fee. Not happy with the so called experience and taking money for having materials less than 24 hours.

In the past, I always hesitated to call Tholl fence because everyone told me I couldn't afford them! HA! They not only were affordable (not the cheapest) but the very best, most professional, and most likable people you could find.   Call them, you won't be disappointed.

Just an update.  I recently called Tholl because I had a problem with my mailbox.  I called 22 contractors and no one wanted to help me, at any price!  I called Tholl and low and behold my mailbox was fixed, quick as a wink.  I love these folks!  They are truly are the best!

One of worst customer service experiences that I have had in a long time. Went in to ask simple questions about fence building, materials and tools. We were the only customers in the store and were treated like the two young men behind the counter did not have the time of day for us. Their website advertises that they would be willing to answer questions and discuss project with homeowners...not the case. Felt like they had not interest in us unless they were to install the job.
Do not recommend.

After having a roof leak, my kitchen roof was damaged. My insurance company referred me to  Paul Davis for restoration. From begining to end of their services, I felt assured that we were in good hands. The staff is very professional and responsive, starting with Ms Jasmine, Josiah, Frank and Noe. The entire staff provided excellent communication and quality work, always being very careful in my home.  I am very happy with their work and services and would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone in need of their restoration services.

We had a really great experience with everyone at Paul Davis. Kirk in the front office was helpful and responsive to getting our initial demolition taken care of. Jasmine did an excellent job helping us work within our budget. Josiah was a responsive project manager and was always friendly and patient. Claudia and Isela in the back office were friendly and great to work with. Leo, Eddie, and Mario all did an incredible job. Leo is really the best tiler we've ever had and his detailed work on the tile in our laundry room and the wallpaper was greatly appreciated.

This is an amazing company!! We were in a really bad situation with our flood and Paul Davis came in and took a care of business. Hands down, this is the best company that does it all! Our senior community experienced a burst fire sprinkler water pipe in the ceiling between two floors which rained down water into a main hallway and which flooded into 8 Senior apartments in late July. The scope of the necessary remediation and restoration was a bigger job than we had ever experienced. Paul Davis was the first call we made in the midst of the chaos of shutting off the water supply, ensuring the safety of residents and staff and contacting the local fire department. Having experienced their swift, efficient and thorough service during a small single room flood from a kitchen sink left on, we knew that we could count on the Paul Davis Team. They came in and partnered with our onsite staff, fire dept personnel and the home office team from our ownership group. The project management was inclusive and collaborative and all parties worked exceptionally well during the next 4 weeks. Overpriced Company that used Sub-Contractors of Sub-Contractors, who tried to fraudulently charge me for non-existent work.

This is my experience with Paul Davis.

The cost estimation process was very professional, they a gay came to my home and took very clear pictures of the damage which was very fortunate for the insurance company. (This alone would have earned them 2/5 stars, but they/ their sub-contractor tried to cheat me)

Everything afterword's... 👎👎👎

When the project manager first came to the house I told him that I was expecting guests in a little over a week and that the work needed to be done by then. He said "Yeah, we should be able to do that"

Work starts on a Thursday, I have a ceiling painted and the painter leaves a nasty bubble in the ceiling. When I point it out he says:

"Oh itll dry out" (It didn't),
"Ill be be back tomorrow" (He didn't), matter of fact NOBODY SHOWED UP. I made it clear we were on a tight schedule and absolutely no work is done Friday, day wasted.

The Project Manager became very difficult to reach, turns out he disappeared because suddenly I have a new project manager half way through the project 😫.

Ill summarize up the final week:

- It was not explained to me the Luxury Vinyl Tile does not come with cushioning underneath, no they glued tile directly on uneven basement foundation, leaving an uneven floor. (I payed additional out of pocket of this!!!)

- They didnt tell me that it didnt come with a transition piece so one was picked for me!

- I had tile placed unevenly, which affected transition pieces, again it wasnt until the tile was already purchased that im made aware there is no transition piece and one is provided. (Damaged), now I have a damaged transition piece in my newly renovated kitchen

- The toilet was replaced but wasnt removed and left in my living room

- The shoe molding around my kitchen island was horrendous! HORRENDOUS! and had to be redone.

- They put back original shoe molding damadged

- My fridge and oven was not assembled and put back together - both were in my living room when guests arrived!!!😫😫

- Spots were calking was missed

- At the end the sent two barely old enough to drink kids to fix mistakes from previous workers and they left wood chipped pieces all over my front driveway that I had to clean up

THE KICKER - I was ready to just call this a learning experience and walk away. But then, the sub-contractor reached out to me directly saying I still owed $1,600? My insurance company inquires into the extra amount and there is no response for about 4 work days. This tells me they have no reason. (Because who doesnt want to get paid in this economy)

Turns out they blatantly and fraudulently asked me for $1600 for some work THAT WAS NEVER REQUESTED OR EVEN DONE. Either Paul Davis or the Sub-Contractor figured they could squeeze more money out of my insurance because APPARENTLY THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE FOR VIRGINIA CONTRACTORS!

DISGUSTING

I cannot recommend Paul Davis' services and cannot remain quit after such unethical behavior from a company that promises PROFESSIONALISM, something i did not experience outside the project managers themselves.

TLDR: DO NOT HIRE PAUL DAVIS unless you are ready to pay extra from sub-par performance and are willing to sit, hover, and watch the contractors with before and after pictures. My experience was frustrating, stressful, terrible and they tried to cheat me. 👎👎👎

Paul Davis did an amazing job on some repairs due to limb damage.  Tommy was great at coordinating the work and was extremely fast in getting the crews out to handle the repairs.  He was a great communicator and made sure we knew exactly what was going to happen and when.  I hope to not need restoration services again, but if I do, I'll be sure to call Paul Davis back to handle them!

I was very impressed with the mitigation services provided by Paul Davis. The communication was incredible; whenever I had a question or concern, someone from the team responded right away.  They were through and careful with their assessments and handling of my things.

Look no more, their mitigation services are top notch and the most professional and courteous we’ve ever seen. Special recognition to Kenny and Sean for an outstanding job controlling our situation and to Tommy for managing the circus that is all things related to water damage repairs. We’re not done yet but we’re delighted to have found Paul Davis to help manage our residential crisis.
