Lemont Ace Hardware

Beware. This store sells items in packaging that, while designed to appease VP's of loss prevention, effectively make Ace Hardware the thieves, as in your money. I have had these guys steal my money twice by having packaging requiring it's destruction to get at an item to test its suitability. Once I chose the wrong product, the next (and last) time I bought something based on their recommendation and both times Ace refused to stand behind their products and accept a return. I can understand my mistake, but not theirs. In order to steal over fifty bucks from me, Ace has chosen to forego ALL my future purchases. Caveat Emptor. Never again.

Knowledgeable, helpful, friendkt staff that helps you get the job done right the first time. Priced a touch higher than big box stores but they are so much more helpful and able to immediately assist you. I love this place and highly recommend it!

Archaic return policy (all sales final pretty much), better off shopping on Amazon or Menards unless you're 100% certain it's what you need. Bought a laser measure (ace only had one type in stock) up to 65'. Turns out my basement is longer than that so i had to buy another laser online. Ace refused to help or take the return even though no signs in the store stating their policy. Needless to say I'll just take the extra 5 minutes next time and go to Menards.

The staff here is always so friendly and helpful, I never have any problems finding what I need.

I purchased exterior semi gloss paint and when I painted the right post on my project it was a medium blue, although can says black. Mistakes happen so when I went back to return clerk said we do not return open items and how does he know I used there paint. I explained i am honest bought this yesterday. The owner approached us said the clerk is not questioning my integrity and called me a f..g as....e yes I said oh really thanks that's nice great way to treat you customers question there integrity then call them f....ng as..... Owner is very unprofessional and good luck getting your money back with receipt after buying paint that isn't the color stated on the can unbelievable I hope no one else has to deal with this owner...

Lombard Ace Hardware

No one can beat ACE Hardware store in Lombard. They have packed things from every section of life, in one place. Norine, Rich, Mark, and other staff members are so helpful and knowledgeable. I have always been treated nicely at this store. Thanks for all your services.🙏

I pass 2 other aces to come here. I bought my Traeger here last year and just bought a big green egg here and had them deliver and assemble. The managers Dan and Jeff are very respectful and kind. The 2 guys that delivered my egg were super nice and awesome. Love this store and they always have what I need and great service from the staff.

I stopped by Friday afternoon to shop for a new griddle. I mentioned to the young man that I had limited space on my patio. I already have a Weber Spirit grill so adding a griddle would crowd things.

He suggested the new Weber Griddle Insert. Problem solved! I am impressed by the customer service. I left with a new griddle and accessories.

Quick "go-to" in the neighborhood.  Friendly and knowledgeable staff,  locally owned franchise.  I go there for all my hardware store stuff.  Much more personal than the big orange place.

Bob was extremely helpful getting all the little knickknacks and things I needed that Home Depot didn’t have, Batteries Plus couldn’t figure out, and I would’ve had to order in bulk online. Can always count on my trusty ACE hardware. 👍

Target

Target pick up is the best. Sometimes my employee is at my door before my car is even in park. My order is always correct. I love using the app. It can be a little tricky to use in the store.

A few days ago, I went shopping at this location which is a little out of my way. Initially I didn't find some of the things I was looking for. When I got to the cash register, I asked the cashier about the things I didn't locate. I was hesitant at first because some cashiers act as if you are a problem if you ask them questions while you are checking out. This cashier put a big smile on her face and told me "Don't worry, I got you". She then looked up the items and told me which items the store didn't have and where to find the items that the store did have. She put the rest of my items aside and waited for me to return. It is very nice to see that some people still have great customer service! I just want management to know that this cashier whose name I believe was Lea is a great asset to the store.

I really love Target, especially this location.

They have recycling available (walk inside, go right : it's before you get to the pharmacy)

There is a Starbucks, and customer service right inside the main entrance.

The store is clean and neatly organized.

The CVS pharmacy is located inside, the employees are very kind.

Lots of practical storage totes in stock.

I made a return and instead of money going back to my credit card they recharged me!! If I could give a negative review I would… I disputed it with the card company so instead of loosing 100 dollars returning something I’m only loosing 50… for returning something

I love my Target in Bossier City, La. I always grab a Starbucks, and shop for random things when I pick my prescriptions up.
Store is clean and the associates are always pleasant.

Walmart Supercenter

I'm a Wal-Mart guy and I enjoy going to Wal-Marts. I am very aware of the Wal-Marts setups and it's one of the things I enjoy about Wal-Mart. I can be at any of its stores in the US and I know exactly where to find items when I walk in. Then when I need something for my vehicle, I know to drive to the back and, if they have auto service, I will find it. 👍

I appreciate what Wal-Mart does to bring good prices for me so when I went into this one, I was rushing to get something for the evening and I went straight to the location where I know it would be and found it.

It helps even more when the employees enjoy what they do and are helpful. 👍

It seems like the norm now that people come in and need something locked up and can not get an associate to come unlock it. Whether perfume, jewelry, hunting, electronics or alcohol. I went in at 8:30 on a Friday morning, hardly any customers in the store. I waited for 25 minutes ringing the buzzer over and over in the alcohol isle, til finally I left when an employee told me I would be waiting a while. Employee was super nice about it just telling me what they know.  I understand locking things up due to people stealing it but if you can’t unlock it for people trying to buy it why sell it all??

Worst place to shop, I did an online grocery delivery order again and of course as always out of 49 items so I only received 5 items and was still charged a $10 delivery fee, oh and they took out whole amount of my card and when I called customer service they told me it was a hold on that amount and money would be refunded in 10 days. I have 2 disabled daughters and what am I supposed to do for groceries til then, they told me I can give you a $10 promo code, be aware and watch out for grocery delivery from Walmart. I have did grocery delivery at other grocery stores before and no problem

Trying to make an in-store purchase of speakers. No one in electronic department. Saw someone checking to see if her phone was charged and asked if she was available to open the case where the speakers are located, was told no but she would page someone. No one has been paged yet. Called customer service and was sent to another line that was not answered. Called customer service back.... still waiting for customer service to pickup and it's been over 5 minutes.  No one has answered and then my phone call was disconnected. No one has come to assist yet. I don't beg people to take my money.

Honestly, I love it. Despite everything you can say about Walmart. They are usually stocked up. Prices are very good. Staff is nice. Pharmacy is super quick. Really, nothing to complain about.

Ace Handyman Services Waukesha Lake Country

So glad we went with ACE to remodel our bathroom. It's beautiful and Sean did a fantastic job. Friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great suggestions.

We originally were going to just replace the shower. We got quotes from Empire and Rebath and honestly the whole bathroom salesman experience trying to get commissions and upsell left me traumatized...one guy even made me late to pick my daughter up from school when he wouldn't move his car and was pressuring me to sign. Also, no one would give me an itemized quote. Just the "package deal"

When I found out ACE did bathrooms as well after some other smaller projects I was so relieved to try something different. The owner Dan came out and showed us onyx products (something the rebath guy tried to upsell) and there were no high pressure sales tactics. Also, we got a quote thousands of dollars lower so we asked about remodeling the whole bathroom not just the shower.

And then we recieved an ITEMIZED quote with real numbers and labor hours and prices for individual parts. The transparency made my ocd so happy.

Don't waste your time with another company. Go with ACE, skip the creepy bathroom salesmen, and get an amazing remodel worth your hard earned paycheck.

Great and quick service! We need our door to be level and Paul was very professional and get the job done so quick. He was neat and cleaned up after as well. We will definitely call them back for our future projects again.

My experience from start to finish was fantastic. I was doing a refinance on a mortgage and needed the work done quick and to a specific standard. The technician doing the work was polite, communicated with me often and did a beautiful job repainting all of my deck areas. The office staff was courteous and worked with my lender. I will use ace handyman again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for house projects to be completed. They genuinely have the customers best interest as a priority.

There are many businesses that offer similar home related products and some services but Ace Hardware exceeds the competition in both those categories. Firstly Kylie provided specific, precise, and understandable guidance in the planning process of my particular home project, the installation of a new mailbox post including the necessary accessories to replace the original post on my property. Secondly and in a timely manner, Wade made the installation in difficult and very challenging conditions. The result was a perfectly installed mailbox post and mailbox. The total project completed by Ace Handyman Services was done so with professionalism and stress free compliance. I will not hesitate to use Ace Handyman Services in the future on other pending projects in which I cannot handle with complete confidence. Really a great service and final job provided.

I recently worked with Sean to complete my bathroom renovation. It was an educational and pleasant experience for me. He was supportive of my ideas and applied his skills to make them happen. His work is creative, efficient, meticulous, knowledgeable, orderly and timely. I was amazed at how much he accomplished each day and I appreciated his willingness to pick up materials as ordered or needed. The office staff was responsive and timely to inquiries and progress of the project. I would hire this company again and recommend them to others.

Vaughn's Plumbing & Heating Co.

Hired to replace main heater in ~3300sf house. Price on the heater/install was OK. Communication was ok. Install left a lot to be desired. From dings in the stained wood banister and walls (yes 2) to dents in the brand new flooring, they definitely could’ve done a better job!

Had them install a new furnace and AC unit about a year ago. We shopped around a lot before choosing Vaughn’s. They were not pushy, and talked through the options very thoroughly and answered all my questions.  I had always heard that Vaughn’s did good work, but was expensive. I actually found them to be priced very fairly. Many others I got quotes from we're more expensive, and didn't seem to know what they were doing as well.

We’ve now had the units for about a year. Both the AC and the furnace have performed well.  Overall, we had a good experience with them.

I've been working with Vaughn's for a couple years now. They are filled with great people. People who care about their jobs and care about other people. You get to choose who does your HVAC repair. If I lived in the area, I would lean on them. Unfortunately, my relationship with them is business based. They are a great choice for assistance.

Our family has used Vaughn's numerous times throughout the last 10 years. From service work to new installation it has always been excellent! Great staff, excellent product and service. The very best in Southwest Wyoming.

We had a great experience with Vaughn's!  We just moved to Green River from Oregon and had purchased a house.  The lower level drains were all backing up with sewage on the 3rd day of our ownership!  It was scary and we were exhausted.  They came out and repaired the problem immediately even though they had to delay other jobs to do so.  They did an excellent job.  They were here for 3 hours.  They explained the problem and potential solutions to us should the problem recur.  The charge with $450.00 - we thought it quite reasonable considering the exceptional effort they made to assist us and the wonderful service we received.  We highly recommend Vaughn's Plumbing!  JOSH AND DANIEL DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!

I have shopped here for over two years. Until recently, the "recepit showing upon exit" was excessively comprehensive at this place. Wal-Mart: the only place you're treated like a king upon entering and a criminial when exiting. I understand it is holiday times but if this comes back, I will drop another star. I found a puppy, got all the required (and some not required) shots and I'm trying to train him to come along in stores so that I can go RVing with him. My rating dropped a star because this Wal-Mart REALLY sucks for pets and the employees are excessively mean and/or impractical. I was told in self-checkout if he barks again I will be kicked out of the store (after he boffed and a single bark since he has never seen a human child let alone a group of them). Then on a seperate occasion, upon exiting was told (with a 20lb dog) "Next time walk him on a leash in the store don't put him in the cart." I later joked with my friend about it. What in the hell would that look like? A puppy the size of a large Chiuhaha with a cart weighing over 50lb in a crowded Walmart shopping for a months worth of food. I've seen a large breed dog once walking on the floor but I think it was a seeing eye dog on a sitdown cart. Maybe the majority disagrees with my views and thinks lap and travel dogs should stay at home alone. But I'm going to continue exposing him to people when I can while he's interested regardless of how uninterested I am in being around society.

I will not ding the store on (stars) for one ("bad actor"). I am in my wheelchair, and my wife puts eggs on the corner of the scanner. We did not know as my wife was scanning other items. The eggs were scanning over and over. So, we called for customer service, as the scanner kept getting stuck, and the service rep had cleared the system about four (4) times already. Then, I noticed a lot of over-charges of 18-pack-eggs that inadvertently were scanning on their own. So, I asked the customer service rep/assistant manager to please review the screen, as I believed one 18-pack of eggs was not deleted. The customer service rep/assistant manager had taken out the overcharged items out very quickly, and I believed I had seen (one) more over-charge on the screen. So, I asked her, "Is there one more of the 18-pack of eggs, still on the system?" The assistant turned and looked at me and said: "EXCUSE ME, I know how to do my job"!!! She turned and walked away in a rude manner. Then the scanner got stuck again, and she would not help us. So, another woman arrived to clear the error on the machine. The new nice women said the computers seem to get stuck for no apparent reason. So, we finished and paid for our purchase, and the rep/assistant manager just stood there and watched us, as my family and I left the store in my electric wheelchair. Horrible experience.

Honestly I may have had a few issues with employees not doing their job or just having a no good attitude... But I've had more good experiences then bad. Most of the time they have what you need. Stores always neat, until my child gets in there then seems like things tend to get a little messy 😂 but she's decided to pretend to be a worker there and try to fix things now. So now the store looks way better with the mini worker there. Highly recommend Walmart for your grocery and daily shopping.

The store is always clean and well stocked.  This is the second time I have had an automotive emergency and the staff is amazing.  They had me up and running in no time.

School of Rock

Just finished the first adult program and performance at Hinsdale school of rock. Staff across the schools is top notch and a special shout out to John Nugent for helping us cross the fishing line and making our first adult performance program a resounding success!

Absolutely LOVE this SOR! They have such a great group of instructors who are knowledgeable, talented and completely dedicated to the development of young musicians. Top-Down they are fantastic and my daughter plans to continue being a part of it through high school and come back to be an instructor! Thank you SOR for helping my daughter find her passion and flourish! ~Very Happy Parent of a Girl Drummer

My kid loves it! He looks forward to going every week. I love that he is able to try out different instruments without having to necessarily commit. Also, we have gone on several vacations and the office assistant has been great at allowing us to move our weekly lesson to another day of the week as a makeup class. I would highly recommend Hinsdale and Naperville locations.

The concept of live experiences, practical application of what is taught, and the constant focus on building confidence in School of Rock students are pure genius.  I do not know of another program such as this and my daughter has grown exponentially as an entertainer in record time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Can't say enough great things about School of Rock Hinsdale! The staff is so thoughtful about everything they do for the kids, and our daughter has THE BEST TIME every time she goes! The instructors have helped her try things she never thought she'd try (like singing) and they have brought her to a new level as a musician. Thank you for giving our daughter the music experience we were all hoping for her to have!

The BEST hardware store in Bossier! The staff is great and if they don’t have it (which they usually do) then they’ll order it for you. A much better shopping experience than the big box stores.

Daegan, Lachlan, and Tracy are simply the best! I purchased a Big Green Egg XL with the Integrated Nest and Handle from their Ace Hardware and their customer service was superb! I must have called them a handful of times with questions and they were super patient and informative. Since I am an Ace Rewards member, Daegan and Lachlan delivered and assembled my Big Green Egg for free! If y’all are in the area, stop by and check out their store…you won’t get customer service like this at those other big box stores! They also have a military discount! Score!

My daughter enjoys School of Rock so much! She loves trying all the instruments and learning fun and relevant songs. Her interest in music has grown and we are excited to see how she grows within the program!

Bringing our kid to the School of Rock was one of our best decisions. Well-invested money. The instructors know how to play and how to teach playing instruments. Drums, guitars, vocals, keys. Awesome. Highly recommended.

My son loves playing guitar at School of Rock Elmhurst!  His teaching is first rate, and the experience playing in a band with his peers makes him excited to practice and play each week.  It's amazing to see the caliber of performances they are able to pull together each season.  Keep up the great work, SOR!

Our son has loved being part of the School of Rock community!  He does vocals and will be learning guitar next.  The teachers are wonderful and he is getting exposure to classic rock songs and learning about different instruments.  It's a great experience and he loves going every week!

My oldest has been going to School of Rock for 4 years. He started in Rookies and has been in the performance group for 2 years now. It has been such a great place for him. He loves it and there is nothing cooler than seeing your kid up on stage during the performances. My youngest just started Rookies this year and he absolutely loves it. All of the instructors are wonderful and everyone has been so great and careful during this time. They have done a great job making it work for the kids!
