Walmart Supercenter

No longer the king of low prices. Just as expensive as everyone else. When will customer service become a priority to Walmart?  Staff sure can stand around and talk to each other or be on their phones. Funny me, I thought a job meant you were supposed to work first. Management is clueless about how to get people to work. I doubt Sam Walton would be happy with how this store is run.  Update-Same boring stuff, over priced, and poorly run. Management should be changed with someone who understands customer service and willing to get their hands dirty.  UPDATE:  Higher prices, no savings, poor stock, dirty store.  Maybe pay better and hire better people. Aldis puts you to shame, better quality and better prices. Are you listening corporate, lower your prices. How much profit do you need?  OVERPRICED AND CLIMBING. Still a big joke, prices keep climbing while the little people suffer. OVERPRICED GARBAGE. WHEN WILL THE WALTONS HAVE ENOUGH MONEY? Time to close one of these stores. Aug 19th same poor service and overpriced. Nov 4th, you need cameras at every station at self check out to catch the shop lifters. I'd post every shop lifters picture on the at both doors, might be a good way to cut down on it. Maybe hire actual security.

Don't select use your own bags when using the app for drive up. The app states that with this option selected they bag the items at your car. The associate I had didn't greet me, just ask for a name and proceeded to put the items in my trunk, unbagged. Those things would've been rolling everywhere the minute I drove off. I asked her to use the bags my bags as that was the option I selected. With an attitude problem she did, then just walked off without closing my trunk. Do better, find quality associates.

When I draft and post a review on social media of a business, usually it is to influence the business to make changes on our behalf. But, some businesses are so large and they make so much money, that they don't really care what we think. The customers become expendable and they know they are going to profit off of us, even if they take advantage of us.

WM is the world's largest corporation and they are too big to care what I think. They will just disparage me and my reputation. I was banned from both stores, for a year.

In my case, I'm still allowed to hold an account and shop online. WM offers a special offer for those on government assistance, called WM+ assist. For $7 per month, I can get stuff delivered and they even include a subscription to Paramount+. Even though I'm resentful of what happened, I still give them my money because I've become dependent on them for all sorts of products.

Tipping is encouraged, but you don't have to tip and they accept food stamps, through their delivery service, too. You can avoid all contact with their delivery drivers and buzz them in. They will just put your stuff in front of your door. You need to take it in, right away, to prevent anyone from stealing it and to freeze or refrigerate it, if it needs it.

If you take the bus, it works out to about the same price and you don't need to get dressed for the cold or leave the house, at all, which can be an advantage during the long, cold winters.

I don't recommend anyone visit their stores or even get stuff brought out to their cars, in the parking lot. The way they treat people, if you are ever accused of something is not human. And a lot of the workers smile and are friendly and kind, but those aren't the people you will deal with if you ever are accused of something. And they won't let you speak on your own behalf or ask you questions. And no my ban was not related to loss prevention issues, if someone is thinking that.

Anyway, I just want to encourage people to be careful of this company and to understand that what you see is what they want you to see and that doesn't represent what this company really does. It's more sinister than that. Anyway, good luck if you want to go in and shop.

The whole company has become paranoid, to the point where they view their customers as the enemy. They won't tell you that, because they care about PR, but it's the truth. The stores are not safe and I don't recommend anyone enter one, ever. Not from the point-of-view of violence, but from the point-of-view of having someone bear false witness against you or try to get you in trouble.

Parking is always easy with a huge space but semi truck parking is sadly forbidden at this premises.

Every lane was open. making check out short. I only had 1 cart in front of me. I hope you keep doing this thru the new years.

JC Licht Ace Fox River Grove

Needed a few things for the house, late in the evening. Ordered them online, and stopped in and picked them up lightning fast. Friendly folks, very helpful. They probably have what you need, and good advice. Recommended.

I love to browse throughout this place. Not excellent tools, but mostly good for average homeowner use. Very wide inventory.

Went in needed a few things and the employee who helped me was very friendly. She located what I needed quickly. The cashier was training a new hire but it did not negatively affect my checkout. Overall they had what I needed, I got it quickly, and had a smooth transaction.

I love our Ace. They have everything at a great price. I get my furnace filters here because they're cheaper than the big box stores. I mean $1.99!!!! Also at holidays, they always have unique decorations and plenty of Lights. Cary Illinois's Ace Hardware rules. Great helpful employees too.

They had exactly what I was looking for, in stock. They were friendly, helpful, and even carried my two heavy items to my car.

Needed some hardware parts for a broken light.

As usual ACE came through with their unique hardware assortment where you can buy just one of what you need and not an entire package.

An employer actually asked if I needed some assistance instead of me looking for someone to help me.

This is one of the best Ace Hardwares around! Larger than average square footage with an inventory that is hard to match. I bought a very nice Weber grill over a year ago here and the regulator on the hose that connects to your propane tank actually had a defect, causing LP gas to come out. I asked for a supervisor and the supervisor immediately helped me and gave me, a suitable replacement part. Now I can go grill today. I’m very pleased with the service and I will continue to keep frequenting this Ace Hardware.

Whitmore Ace Hardware

Needed a simple pipe fitting which they were out of it is terrible lockport only has one store to get hardware stuff like this.

Go to Home-depot or Menards instead, website actually shows what they have in stock.  Waited to buy saw blade so I could use their 50% off coupon to celebrate new ownership. Bait and switch seems like the business plan to generate foot traffic.  Found the exact blade in the store but ace product number one digit off so coupon not honored.  If you have to go to Ace, go to Will Cook, at least they are honest.

Just got a Toro snow blower (battery powered) from this store on 12/21/22. I tried running it today (12/24/22)after the storm calmed down to remove snow from my driveway and sidewalk. The machine just does not start!!! I called Ace online support and they told to take the machine to the store. When I got there, they told me that they're not liable for any machinery that gets sold and leaves their store!!!! Are you kidding me??? I haven't even used the thing and it just won't start. I expect some sense of ownership for customers' problems and issues. This is totally unacceptable and I am seriously not going to buy any major purchases like this from Ace moving forward.

UPDATE: After a lot of emails and phone calls with Ace support and 2 visits to this store, I was finally able to return the snow blower after Ace support called the store to explain things which could've been done much efficiently in the first place when I came in to return it the first time!!!

Not up to typical Ace standards, even after new management took over a while back. I've found they always seem to be out of the specific size, type, brand, etc. of whatever I'm trying to buy, and are just poorly stocked in general.

Best hardware store in the area! The customer service is outstanding. Store associates are genuine and very helpful. They always have what I need. Store is clean and well organized. Parking is convenient.

Great selection of hardware items. Looking for a hard to find faucet adapter. They had it. Friendly help, knowledgeable, and service oriented. Further from home than other hardware establishments, but as Arnold says, "I'll be back".

Sold my 94 year-old, cognitively impaired and totally immobile mother a stair lift for over $10,000, then sold out the business within a few weeks. The lift was obviously never used before she died and they have rebuffed all attempts for uninstall and partial refund. There are things in life that are technically legal, but still morally reprehensible.

We moved from out of town to the area and have been SO happy with our experience at this School of Rock!!! My son felt right at home from the beginning and we have all felt very welcomed. Thanks, you guys! You ROCK!

Brought my grandson here after we were offered a free class at the Summer Celebration in Streamwood. Place is clean, instructors are patient and great with kids. Highly recommended for kids that dig music.

School of Rock has by far been the best decision I've made when it comes to bringing absolute joy to my son Alex.  He's only been enrolled for 6 months and the challenge was determining what instrument to start with.  After choosing Drums he meet with one of their amazing music instructors and instantly made a great connection.  He just played his first concerts (they have 3 concerts throughout the year) and he absolutely ROCKED his performance.  I was just blow away and so incredibly proud with how GOOD he was.  I feel that the amount of attention they pour into their program is outstanding.   Band practice for 2 hours and 15 min and a private lesson for another 45 minutes really gets these kids to advance.  Their professional organized staff is so amazing to work with and they also arrange seasonal complimentary workshops so these kids can learn more about different instruments and techniques.   Alex is most excited about their Summer Camps and has already signed up for Metallica Camp for a full week 9 to 3 pm.  THANK YOU BRANDY, ALEX, JOE AND CREW.  I HAVE A MUSIC STUDENT FOR LIFE at SOR. (Adult Bands start after 18)

School of Rock is AMAZING! Brandy and Mandy are wonderful and strive to promote a great learning experience while having fun. My son is excited about every drum lesson with Aaron and Saturday group lessons with Dave are a blast! We have had only positive experiences with the entire staff! Rock on and thank you all for helping grow my son's love for music!

These people are crooks, do not sign a contract with them. Machines stop working, lie about monthly costs, and impossible to get out of contracts.

One of the worst websites I order from regularly - slow loading; half of the product images are always "coming soon"; the images that are available are so blurry you cannot read the label on the product, which you need to be able to do considering the item descriptions do not give any specifics; products are overpriced across the board; prices show "per case" and "per box", but do not tell you how many come in a case or box; snack items priced 'per piece', which makes ordering more of a hassle when ordering large quantities of the same item; to make it worse - 'per piece' items are sent as such - single pieces thrown in a reused box that is delivered unsealed and open; Aramark also takes the liberty of delivering "substitute" items for items that are out of stock without prior approval, without any notification that your items are out of stock, or without any consideration that the price difference between products will leave you +$70 over what you budgeted.

Our account reps are helpful resolving issues when they arise; the problem is there are too many issues / inconveniences revolving around the simple task of coffee ordering. We will be looking for a different coffee supplier as soon as our contract terminates.
