I had two projects completed by David Howell, from Ace Handyman. He hung a decoration on a brick wall on the front of my home. I was pretty specific on how i wanted it done. David did a great job in completing that task and it was perfect. He also install a heavy mirror. It’s level and looks great also. He was very pleasant and enjoyable to converse with.

I had a chat with Marcy on the phone and she answered all my questions and worked with me to fix a date for getting the work done and also gave me an estimate of time and the cost.Dave, who came to do the work was very professional and so efficient!!! He got all the work and way before time . There is also an $50 off coupon for 4 hours of work! I  won’t go searching again for my next set of work that needs to get done…. I requested handyman services to fix an issue with my toilet, and needed someone to come out ASAP - which the customer service rep stated that their handymen could fix said issue - yet, it added more problems to where I had to call an emergency plumber for a leaking toilet (which was not the issue to begin with.) They also attempted to install a bathroom sink faucet as well, and did not install it correctly; the faucets I purchased were of higher quality and I could move and shake the base with ease, where my $50 amazon faucets that were originally there wouldn’t budge. I would be cautious to use handyman for any type of plumbing.

Dave completed all my honey do jobs quickly and professionally. I’m so happy to have the jobs done. We will definitely use this service again. Dave looked at the jobs offered his solution and listened to my requests before completing the work. The time estimated was 4 hours but only took 3 even with a trip to get some supplies.

David came to install shelves and put together other storage for my garage. He arrived early and was very helpful in giving me advice about where to put the shelves. I was planning on a half day of work and he was done in 21/2 hours. I have always found Ace hardware a great place to shop, competitive prices and friendly, this handyman service is another part of their great customer service. I’ll use David and Ace again, just starting my next list!

GREAT BUILDER!!!

We just completed our new home with Destination Homes. The entire process was great. DJ is very hands on. The communication was great and he was quick to answer any questions that we had. Building our house for the first time seemed a little overwhelming but DJ walked us through everything and helped us with selecting interior and exterior finishes. I have been in construction for 15+ years and the finishes Destination Homes uses are above and beyond.

Jumped into our first “Forever Home” with Destination. DJ with Destination Homes was awesome and was even pointing out things he wanted to address at the final walk through. The simple things like recessed from the floor cabinets, ball bearing door hinges, and islands with cabinets and storage on both sides were upgrades built into the price that made this house extra special. We couldn’t be more happy with our decision.

PS- Before purchasing the home, A cleaning crew had come in and even cleaned underneath the fireplace and in doing so had detached a hidden wire. I had to call DJ to have somebody come out and look at it and he showed up the same day to find the hidden issue.

American Fence Company - Des Moines

American Fence is by far the best fence company in the metro area! I had them install a 4 ft black link fence and they did an amazing job! They are professional, provide excellent service, timely, great follow up and fast working! I just used them again to replace that fence from 3 years ago, that still looked like new, with a 6 ft fence for my newly adopted fence jumping dog. They removed and installed the fence quickly and once again exceeded my expectations with their timeliness and were excellent to work. After using them twice with the same outstanding service I wouldn’t use anyone else!

I'm so glad we chose this business.  They were quick to measure, quick to quote, and quick to update us on the project.  If there was an update needed on materials, they let us know.  They were respectful of our property, cleaned up after themselves, and now every time we drive home, we are happy with the new fence.  It matches our deck, keeps our dogs safe, and adds value to the home.

We just recently had our vinyl fence installed and I HIGHLY recommend American Fence Co.!!! Dan M. was great to work with and stayed patient throughout the whole process - never pushy. To be honest, they weren’t the cheapest nor were they the most expensive, but they were the most responsive and knowledgeable! Being on a corner lot which has it’s fencing restrictions, Dan went to bat for us with the city even setting up his own meeting with them at our property. Above and beyond service. We had over 350+ feet and 3 gates installed on a hillside, sloped walkout lot with a nightmare of unevenness terrain in the midst of winter storms and they executed perfectly! We’ve already received multiple comments and couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Dan M is your guy!

We are commercial property owners in the Des Moines area. We decided to give this company a shot at building some gates before we got a quote on Fencing a commercial property. Spoke with a guy who said he would get us a quote in a couple days, waited a week and called back. That guy was out but the new guy I talked to would find out what's going on and call back by the end of the day. Waited another week called back talked to a third guy same story. Now 3 weeks in and nobody ever called back or sent a quote. Poor service on the front end imagine what's its like if you gire these guys. Plenty of fence companies out there. These guys obviously don't care about customers.

We had a wonderful experience with American Fence of Des Moines for the installation of our wood privacy fence. Brandon and Manny were fantastic and so helpful throughout the entire process. Even several months after installation when we had an issue with our gate, they came out immediately and fixed the problem with no charge. We’re very happy with their service and our fence is sturdy and beautiful!

Run away! They carry the brand of pool we wanted and love the pool but, this Des Moines franchise is very unprofessional and don't stand behind what they say.

First of all everything we agree to in our pool proposal didn't matter if they didn't put it into the contract. So multiple things didn't get done or were at an extra cost. And somethings in the contract they refused to do. Contract said they would put back any fencing they removed, they didn't and I had to have it reinstalled after they wouldn't. No temporary safety fence was installed during project even though it was in contract.

Concrete was done very poorly and we were overcharged. We were told we would only be charged for what was installed once final layout is done at a price of $21 a sf which is $4 over other professionals in the area. First they needed extra money in advanced of the pour for thick edge to create a wall around 2 spots. They only pour a quarter of what was planned. Poured almost 100 sf less of the slab we were charged for. They were going to pour  slab on bare dirt in a lot of areas. We got them to hold off on pour so we could get it prepped properly and run drain pipe outside of slab which they had just buried half way across the patio to be poured. After we ran plumbing and worked on moving a lot of dirt and rock and sent pictures to the foreman the said they would fix the rest. Some things they did some they didn't. Patio pitches the wrong way so nothing we can do next to removing and having someone else do it.

Charged us for pool permit and then had us pay and pull the permit with city and didn't give us a refund.

Pool lights were to include electrical and transformer which we did not receive transformer had to use our own and had to supply conduit and run it our self for bubblers.

Kept being told someone would be by for chemical start up and balancing never happened till it was time to winterize the pool. So for the month and a half it was open we had to do all water treatment.

Company has very poor in-house communication one person says it will be taken care of, while another says it's not included even when it is in the contract.

Posting this I will probably not get any warranty work if needed on pool but can not believe anyone would do business this way. After all was done I have heard stories from other pool companies while seeking a service provider of other peoples problems. Really wish somebody would have posted them. To save us this heart ache.

Before you spend over $90K on a pool project talk with installed customers not service customers.

Shawn and his team installed ours 3 summers ago and we enjoyed working with them to build our dream pool!

I give 2 stars because our pool works. Otherwise they’d get one star. They were very hard to get in contact with & when we didn’t we never got a definitive answer & it would always be changing. They never finished the job as our pool was being installed at end of season. Come 2023 opening our pool we found they put a lock on our system to where we had control over nothing. They preach customers for life but only seeing negative reviews. As a customer who wants their backyard to look beautiful & be proud of. Consider another company due to premier being unable to fix & complete their mistakes leaving us with the final repairs.

not very efficient in working through paperwork and responsive on email. I also would watch out for their sales event.

This store has a little bit of everything...farm supply, pet supply, auto maintenance supplies and even hunting supplies....and very good prices to boot.

I bought a pair of work boots for my soon. They were too big and needed to be returned. I went in an hour before closing in a Sunday evening. There were only young teenagers working. Only one check out lane was open and the line was 8 people long. A young lady opened up the customer service line to process my return. She wasn’t very happy with me for some reason and was very short. There were multiple young people working and walking around while the one lane was open for the other customers to check out. We personally won’t go back if we can find the items we need somewhere else.

My go-to store for several things and I've always encountered great service so far.

Great selection of winter coats for all price ranges. Decent customer service.

Always a great place to go they have a little bit of everything.

Replaced an almost 20 year fence. Stacy did an excellent job coordinating the work and Rusty and his team did very professional and excellent work. The steel posts enclosed in cedar has already had many positive compliments.  Highly recommend working with this company

Installed a shadow box wood privacy fence in the backyard. The fence looks great.  However the reason for the 3 stars is they asked where to put dirt from holes and I said please put in a pile by the house. And they suggested to put in in spots in the yard. 90% of dirt is rocks which they piled only on the yard.

Edit: I contacted via email and they were very accomodating and came back out and cleaned up all the rocks that were left.  I appreciate Ashton for reaching out and following up and making things right for us.

I loved the work that your crew did for 2 days. I recently retired and got to watch the whole process from the deck. It was a pleasure to watch such a professional team. After feeling defeated that safelite wanted 700 bucks for my windshield, I called Boone Glass Co and was quoted 300 bucks, they were highly professional and took the utmost care of my vehicle. I highly recommend giving these guys a call FIRST! support local!

We recently broke a window out of the back of a work truck for Dakin-Ag Equipment/Darby Construction.  Boone Glass got us on the schedule quickly and repaired the window.  When we picked the truck up we discovered an issue and they fixed it and made it right.  Great experience.  We will do business with Boone Glass again.

Boone Glass is great. They took care of me whick and were very friendly. Their prices were reasonable. Make them your first stop for glass needs.

The company has no structure and no respect for their clients. Definitely a equivocator.

Paul Davis Restoration of Southwest Missouri

From the beginning stages (they were prompt and communicated well) to the rebuild, Paul Davis was great!  So easy to work with and quality was outstanding.  Would use them again and would refer them to others.  All of their personnel were great!

Our contractor was amazing. Our entire house ended up being gutted due to storm damage. Scott was amazing. He knew what our vision was and made it happen. The house is beautiful on the inside now. And he was a lot easier to deal with than the insurance company and the mortgage company.

This company was very helpful and came out the same day that I called to have my dryer vent duct clean. The serviceman was quick and showed me the cleaned out duct from the camera he had and cleaned the laundry room. Very courteous. However he did quote me $270 to clean it when he first arrived, but I told him I was quoted &170, so he changed the bill to $170. Not sure what happened there. I was very satisfied with the job

Excellent job on everything. He fixed our shower, faucet in kitchen, bathroom, door in closet. Tim Langley was on time, answered all our questions we asked, was fast and efficient with repairs. Tom and his crew are a pleasure to work with. I love the fact that they walked me through the quoting process and explained everything in detail.

They did a great job caulking around my bathtub. I know I could have done it myself but it would have looked like I did it myself instead of the professional look that was delivered.

They also did a great job of replacing my kitchen sink. It gave the kitchen the looking of a million dollar upgrade while spending pennies in comparison.

I would highly recommend giving them a chance to quote you for your small projects around the home.  It will be money well spent and time well saved!
