Advanced Fence & Gate was great to deal with.  The estimate was quick and they made quick adjustments when we altered the plan.  The price was reasonable, the work was completed quickly, and the we were extremely happy with the finished product.  Very professional service and work.  Highly recommended.

We contracted with Advanced to remove and old cedar fence and install a new one. We chose them because the communication was good and the pricing was fair. They arrived on time and completed the job as stated.  The workmanship was top notch down to the scalloping of the fence. The neighbors have commented on how well done and beautiful it is.

I contracted with Advanced to install a partial fence on my property. The pricing was fair and the communication was top notch. Craig, Rachel, Eric and Evelyn were all extremely helpful and courteous. I wasn’t able to be home for the install but the install team made my wife feel very at ease and confident in their expertise. They even took the time to confirm the fence style before they started as it wasn’t a perfect match to our old fence (We plan on having the remainder of the fence replaced in the future to match and certainly plan on using Advanced.) The finished product looks INCREDIBLE and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to have a fence done in the future. Top notch all around.

Francisco knows how to install these aluminum fences properly.  Everything correct and clean.  I was impressed by his final tuning of each pole.  The line is perfectly straight.

The first call I made to schedule an estimate was easy and adeptly handled. The estimator arrived right on time, was super easy to work with and very knowledgeable. And finally the team who did the install was very fast, and efficient but took the time to do a neat precise job.

I was especially pleased in how they handled a slight curve ball I threw at them. I had a very specific way I wanted them to execute the base of the fence, that required installing landscape timers horizontally and then butting the pickets up against the horizontal timbers rather than have the pickets touching the ground. The estimator took copious notes when I showed him what I wanted and he communicated that to the installers clearly enough that on the day of the install they had all the correct materials and knew just what I wanted with little input from me.

The result was fantastic. And in fact, the team asked if they might take some pictures because they liked the way it looked and wanted to maybe start offering it as an option for their clients.

Only one VERY VERY nit-picky thing. Nearly all the pickets had little white plastic tags stapled to their ends. After the job was done those little white tags were peeking out between the timbers and the bottom of the picket and where a real pain to remove. If I knew then what I know now, I’d have grabbed some needle nose pliers and remove the tags BEFORE the pickets all went up. But again, this was a minuscule issue in an overall excellent job.

Lucy Mierop and her team of professionals are as top-notch as you could ask for.  We put our house on the market at the beginning of the holiday season and didn't expect too much.  They held open houses and marketed.  After the holidays were over we received offers, and Lucy worked her magic and we closed for well over list price.  We'd already moved to our new home in a new country, and Lucy managed the closing process and very generously took care of numerous loose ends for us since we couldn't be there in person.  Cannot recommend Re/Max Market and Lucy highly enough.  You will not be sorry.

Ok, we have a leaded stained glass window that needs to be repaired and we called Glass Doctor. Hard to find someone to do this work. The owner came out, quoted a cost, took our $450 deposit and scheduled a fix date. Great, we felt good. Then the actual repair guy comes out and tells us he can’t do the work and that the owner was wrong about being able to do it.

So… we call and call and call to try and get resolve and/or our $450 back. They never called back until I was able to raise the owner on text who told me he’d resolve it and never did. In fact, then ignored me - oh also had the gall to tell me that he’d hold our $450 as a deposit on future work?! I gave him the chance to make it right more than once and he did not.

We never got our $450 back, so they basically stole it from us. Highly recommend stay away from this company with low character and values.

Response time for estimate and repair was quick and efficient. Chris who installed the new glass was very friendly, professional and helpful. I’m very happy with my experience and the replacement glass.

I recently found myself needing my 4th new windshield on my vehicle.  Of course they cost exactly what my deductible is, so it adds up in 18 months.  Being new to the area, I decided to Google auto glass repair and came across Glass Doctor.  I asked for a quote and they came back over 20% less than the national competitor I previously used. Well my install was today and not only did I get great customer service, I was in and out in 45 minutes.  They even reset up my dashcam for me.  Well unbeknownst to be, it comes with a warranty that to me is beyond generous and absolutely made the entire experience that much better.  I will definitely be a repeat customer when the need arises.

1st class service for glass replacement. The glass Dr has a great reputation around Lake County for quality, trustworthy work. I had them replace three cracked double pane windows. They communicated throughout the process about the work being done. I highly recommend Glass Doctor.

My entire experience with Signature Metal Works--from contacting them about my project to having measurements taken to conversations about the look I wanted to the installation--was amazing.  Everyone is so responsive and courteous.

For various reasons, I was not able to just replace the wood spindles with metals ones due to code considerations, but the team at Signature came up with the perfect solution.

The installation went so smoothly and I couldn't be happier with the results.  The owner of the company--Alex--was onsite for the installation and he was very involved with making sure everything was done correctly.

Maclin Security Doors, Inc.

An outstanding experience from the first phone call to completion of the job.  I had them enclose and extend an existing patio into a year round usable sunroom.  The patio extended 4’ beyond the existing roof and Jason came up with a design that enclosed the entire space with transom windows to make it look like it was built with the house.  A visit to their showroom to check out the materials and a visual of how it would actually look, sealed the deal.  I had a slight delay due to back- ordered  windows but still within Jason's predicted timeframe.  The work crew (led by "Hunter", an extremely proficient and professional installer) did an excellent job in some of the worst weather conditions possible.  They completed construction in 4 days (could have been 3 but weather curtailed the time they were able to work).  The crew was friendly and professional which reflects admirably on the company.  Of course after completion it did not rain for over a week (to test for any leaks).  Fortunately, a good storm blew through and revealed a leak in the ceiling where the new roof extension joined the existing roof.  I called Hunter and he was out as soon as things dried up.  He quickly found the problem area and resolved the leak.  This morning we had some severe weather with high winds and heavy rains - my new sunroom is dry as a bone and I’m loving it more and more each day.  I would highly recommend Maclin’s and have already done so to many of my neighbors who've stopped by to admire the new room.

Had my third security door installed yesterday by Maclin Security Doors the other 2 were installed 4 and 7 years ago.  Maclin continues to have a very high level of service and quality.  Their installer William is very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to have around installing the door, I don’t know if William is their only installer, since he installed all 3 of my security doors, ask for William after you order you door from Maclin

Techniclean Cleaning & Restoration

I wanted to share pictures and feedback on what a wonderful job Elvis does.  I've used him more than a dozen times over the past few years and its about time I wrote a review to sing his praises.  Every time he comes he does a fantastic job!  He moves all the furniture for me, places blocks underneath tables and chairs for the carpet to dry, and removes the toughest stains.  He's removed wine stains, chocolate, and even stains from my dog scooting her behind on my carpet (pictures attached).  Not to mention what a nice and personable guy he is in general. We’ve been using Techniclean for cleaning our floors at The UPS Store for over 5 years and have never been disappointed with their friendliness, attention to detail, flexibility, and quality! The work they do speaks for itself and you will not be disappointed! Being a The UPS Store location, we work long hours and Elvis always makes sure to fit us into our schedule (even if it’s late on a Saturday). He’s punctual if not early every time we have an appointment with them and is always a pleasant face to see! At our center we have 3 different types of flooring (tile, carpet, and a vinyl laminate) and Techniclean takes care of them all for us. After we have our floors cleaned, they look nearly new (which is difficult to do in the Chicagoland area). I’ve even had other store owners comment how the work area “looks like an ice rink” after we have Techniclean out (due to them looking so shiny). Techniclean is reasonable in price for the quality you get, and they always go the extra mile to make sure your floors are properly cared for! We would highly recommend Techniclean and their services to anyone looking for a flooring care company!

process from start to finish was uncommonly excellent. Jimmy and Jeff, the installers, listened to my inputs and the result is a long overdue upgrade that looks like it has been there since 1954! Now we have triple insulated fluted side lights to our front door. No more single pane winter sweats!

I needed a window replacement at my home. Carl was very nice and helpful. He explained everything and was very passionate about the services he rendered. I was very pleased with him. The price was a little expensive but everything is days. I did like the fact that I have a lifetime guarantee of the window if anything happens to it.

CONSUMER BEWARE !!
I'm utterly disappointed with this company ! My truck was broken into while at work. Two of my passenger windows were damaged (including a regulator & window trim)...Also, I needed a windshield replacement; because it got damaged during the winter storms. I chose this company over a few well known competitors due to their 5 star rating and positive reviews online. However, I just noticed the bulk of positive reviews are reflecting on home glass installations "NOT" auto. Moving forward, my first windshield installation was sloppy done. It was glue bulging out of the windshield's trim in varies areas and through my window guard. Even now, if I roll the passenger window up/down "new" clumps of glue would get back on the window again. It was evident, the first tech was inexperience. Somehow, the second tech managed to crack my window guard trying to remove the excessive amount of glue. I told the GM, Safelite replaced the front window and regulator without any issues with the window guard. So, he offered to replace the guard, but quickly stopped after ordering the wrong sizes from Amazon.  Why he chose Amazon, I have the slightest idea when it's other truck accessories companies out here ! However, he was nice enough to come & pick up my vehicle and reinstall a new windshield. Unfortunately, the second windshield installation wasn't securly intact; because it leaked badly during rainy weather. This morning, the GM came out to my home and installed the third windshield; and offered a full refund for all the inconvenience...And left me to find & replace a window guard which "THEY" DAMAGED !! Only time will tell if this windshield is installed properly. If not, than I'll be utilizing my refund at Safelite Auto Glass or Jack Morris Auto Glass.

Overall, this has been the absolute worse auto repair experience in my life !! Mentally drained and furious is a understatement ! My truck looks horrible now, because of this company. The pictures doesn't serve any justice. Don't patronize this company unless you have time to spare and money to waste. Their expertise isn't auto glass repair by far !!

Carl and Jeff were awesome. Very professional, timely, and proactive with thier work. Quick and easy and my China cabinet looks like it did 40 years ago. Brand. New. Can not recommend enough!

Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning

Called them with a furnace issue. They came out the same day!  Fixed the issue quickly. I wouldn’t use any other service. These guys are honest and great. Would recommend. I have had them service my system for the past 3 years.

Richard had to come to my house twice for the same unit. The first time was an issue with unit it self. He fixed it fast and explained everything he did. The next time was issue with my thermostat.  Jen was the dispatcher and she was very friendly and kept me in the loop about my technician status. Thank yall for everything!

Air Serv installed my HVAC unit a little over 3 years ago and I've been very happy with its performance.  It keeps up in the hot Midland summer months without issues.  During the recently very cold days in Midland, I observed the heater wasn't keeping up.  The fan would run, but the house temperature never reached setpoint during the night, and I would wake up to the house being 7-10 degrees cooler than desired.  I called Air Serv and they sent out a technician the same day, even earlier than they estimated.  Brandon was able to diagnose the issue right away.  It turned out to be a wiring issue.  I was so impressed how quickly Brandon was able to identify the problem.  I thought it was weird that the unit hadn't had issues previous winters, but then again, the unit never had to work as hard as it has this winter, so it never had to go to stage 2 of air flow, which is what evidently revealed the wiring issue.  Brandon explained that even if you have a 2 speed fan, it is only supposed to run at low speed when heating.  The good news is that now my unit heats as expected.  I'm not certain that all the technicians at Air Serv are as savvy as Brandon, but am grateful that he was sent to solve my problem.  I'm very glad I also have a maintenance agreement with Air Serv for seasonal checkups to keep the unit in good working order, and so far I haven't had to have any parts replaced.

Their quotes are low, until you will have to replace your entire system piece by piece after they install it. 4 years after Aireserv installs my unit and I'm still having issues. They installed (3.5 ton air unit with heat pump)  in summer of 2016 and couldn't get the house below 80 degrees. They blew in attic insulation and it reached 75 degrees. 6 months later winter hits. The heater does not work. Aire serv technician comes out and curses Jeremiah and the company. He "fixes" my heat, replaces my wifi thermostat with a normal one because the unit is not compatible with the wifi thermostat, and leaves. One month later, I receive my electricity bill $800. Aireserv technician comes out and says it is running off aux heat because I do not have a unit with a heat pump in it. I paid for a unit with a heat pump. I gather all documentation present it to the office staff and threaten to sue. They tell me "go ahead".  I do not have the funds to take them to court, and my unit is still not functioning properly. I save $3500 to purchase a unit with a heat pump and have another company install it. Three years later and my fan stops blowing last night.  The furnace installed by Aireserv appears to be a rebuilt unit ( i paid for a new one). The wiring was so poorly done that it has shorted the fan relay and caused the sequencers in the heat strips to wear out. So once again, I am replacing another piece to the system thanks to Aireserv and their poor quality. At this point I will have replaced everything installed except the ductwork.

Not very good service,  spoke to lady on the phone and painted a pretty picture of what would be in the price. Tech came out and was in and out in 5 minutes. Had someone else come and do the same job and they showed me step by step and help me fix my AC. Poor service from the tech would never use them again.
