No one ever answers the phone and most of time you cannot leave a message.  If you are lucky enough to leave a message , no one calls you back.  Our neighbor hood block has had its mail delivery shut off due to loose dog across the street from me. It’s been over two weeks so far and I’ve only been able to talk to mail supervisor Anthony who said he would call me back and never did. That was a week ago.  They do not show any care for their customers.  This Post Office has gone down the tubes…..

This place is a disaster! I have medical supplies that have been sitting there since Dec. 23rd 7:29 am and it still has not been scanned or sent on to my local post office in Scottsbluff, NE. This is the 2nd month in a row that this has happened!!! USPS please do something about this post office!! You cannot get anyone on the phone, the post master phone mailbox is always full so you can't leave a message. Pathetic!!!

I live in Scottsbluff, NE and every time any of my USPS packages go through this Distribution Center, they always sit for an unnecessarily long time, sometimes days on end.

Any other distribution center my packages always arrive then depart within a 12 hour window.

Not sure why my packages always seem to sit here for days but y'all need to sort it out.

You guys are causing the USPS employees in Scottsbluff (who are usually fantastic and do everything they can to get our mail/packages delivered on time) to deal with unnecessary hassle. Please fix this!

The post office 800 number could not tell me if this office was indeed closed as this suggests. So I called and called the direct line, left messages,  got no response. Then i intercepted and changed mailing address to the next stop on my cross country trip. As advised by the representative at the 800 number.
The change did not work.
My mail got delivered it says to North Platte.

Why couldn't you just have answered the phone?  Or returned a call?

Why didn't the usps do the change? It cost me hours of time calling repeatedly  and typing in the change. Plus $30 additional.

What a headache.

I can’t even get them to pick up  a phone I call they pick the phone up and then hang it up immediately

First, I want to say that the employees behind the desk at the 2nd avenue post office are wonderful, helpful, and kind. They are a true asset to the postal service, and I am grateful for them. That being said, there are continual issues with packages not being scanned when I deposit them into the drop box in the lobby. Most recently, I deposited a package on Saturday afternoon and there is still no indication it has been scanned or accepted.  Nearly all of my packages deposited in the dropbox the past month have not been scanned the day they are received (despite being received by the deadline). Timely scanning matters, and it is unfortunate operations are continually going downhill.

For truck drivers. Very very slowwww night shift workers need to be fired from their positions. 0 0 0 stars

I went to the post office today and a really nice lady helped me. I was in tears because I was afraid of missing my deadline for my place. She was such a good person and her conversation helped my day.

Very rude and unprofessional. Tried to apply for a passport and they were 0 help with my issues. Laughed in my face, made me feel extremely not welcomed, embarrassed, and didn’t take me seriously. Walked out because I was about to cry.

Would rate zero stars if possible. This location is terrible, especially when it comes to areas that have cluster box mailboxes. If a mailbox is full the carrier just sends it back to the sender and marks “invalid address” without any communication or opportunity for us receiving the package to try and go pick it up. This has happened to me more than 10 times and am sick of it. It seems like there is no training for the carriers or just lack of care. They are doing what is absolutely easiest for them and costing us loads of time and money.

EDIT: I was just going to leave it at this but reading all these other reviews on the Ankeny Post office makes me want to go into more detail. I had filed a formal complaint with USPS to find a missing package (one of the few that had gone missing) and miraculously they found it the day the case was supposed to closed. I was also asked to pay postage on a package that was apparently previously lost and the company had already sent back a replacement and I had gotten it (said package I filed complaint on)— so absolutely not am I paying postage. WTH? Was that the original package? Why is there postage on that one and not the other one they found? Super sketchy. I also get other peoples mail stuffed into my box and the envelope CLEARLY states another lot number. These people have ZERO care or pride in their work and I feel helpless. Usually I am not as worked up about things like this but these things are valuable to me and the fact that someone who’s job it is to take care of it until it gets to me has just completely given up any standard. It’s sad. Do better.

USPS is the worst mail/package delivery source in the world. They are government so any specific entity is protected from informing potential customers of a location’s customer service. I pray they don’t get bailed out again with their failed policy and leadership.

I have had three packages lost or misplaced in the last eight months.  Wish I could give a good review.  Tracking tells me they have arrived at the post office.  Not sure what happens after that.

World’s slowest service. I stood in line 45 minutes today to mail 1 little envelope! Please get more help- there were 22 of us waiting in line!

An item I ordered, was shipped via usps.

Local carrier and branch marked the item as delivered in mailbox at 12:49pm, I checked the mailbox within 30 minutes of "delivery" and there was no package.

I call USPS, they say "call the police and report it stolen".

Here is a better idea, call your carrier and figure out where my package is.

I know these carriers have been worked to the bone in the last few years, but it's still always disappointing when the biggest shipping companies out there don't take any responsibility when they lose the consumers paid for goods.

Package tracking indicated that my package was out for delivery.  Later that day, the status changed & indicated that it was ready to pick up & if I did not retrieve it, the package would be returned to the sender. From what I could tell, no attempts would be made to deliver the package to my home.  Nobody answered the phone, so I had no idea of the actual status..  Parking at this building is poor, & I have mobility problems, so I didn’t want to go to the building if the updated status was incorrect.  It was mysteriously delivered the following day.

When sending packages, I have not found the employees at this location to be helpful.  I would recommend using one of the Eagan USPS locations.

Hot mess. Actual post office never answers the direct phone line it is automatically sent to a busy line. When I go in person it takes ages. Delivery driver drives way too fast in our neighborhood ….in such a hurry they threw our package of dishes at our house so hard I could hear the sound of the dishes smashing when I was inside the house wondering what the huge noise was.  Lost packages, lost mail. Birthday cards that don’t make it or opened for some unknown reason.  Sending everyone else’s post to us who doesn’t live here.

Why does this Post Office continually get 1star reviews and nothing changes. They never answer the phone. They’ve even admitted that to me. Does USPS even read the reviews. It’s wrong on so many levels. Businesses don’t perform like they do with absolutely no changes. I could only write this if I gave them 1 star. They don’t deserve that. It should be zero stars. Please USPS. Do something!!!!!!!

My family was at the post office for a change of address confirmation. The document delivered by the USPS requested our presence to provide a proof of new residency. We brought our purchase agreement with us and was greeted by employee Jason. He took a glimpse at the document for USPS and told us that since there was no "barcode" on the document, he cant scan the document and was unable to assist us further. We requested more information on how to proceed forward with the change of address. Jason informed us that he will have the "postmaster" speak with us. Jason left the counter to locate the postmaster.

After a few minute, the post master, who is from an African descent walked to the counter where we were standing. He did not greet us. We informed him that the document sent to us from USPS informed us to provide proof of residency at a post office branch. Being that we moved to Lakeville and in the Lakeville branch, this should be an easy process. Instead, the postmaster informed us there was nothing he can do and stated, "this is a new system". We asked the postmaster what next steps we can do or the post office can offer to remedy this situation. With no response, the post master walked to the wall of the PO BOX and directed Jason to the counter. The postmaster asked Jason to turn on his monitor and check the computer for our address. Jason replied to the postmaster "Why wont you use your monitor". Jason walked to the monitor, touched the screen and stated, "There's nothing I can do, since there is no barcode".

Again, I requested information as to how we as the new homeowners to the city of Lakeville can move forward to have our mail delivered to us. Jason, turned around and walked back to the wall of the PO BOX and disappeared behind a wall. The postmaster looked at us and stated, "This is a new system".

I pointed to the document and informed him that the document specifically stated that we had to provide proof of residency at a USPS branch to have our mail forwarded to the new address. The postmaster did not apologize, provided no assistance and showed no compassion.

The Lakeville USPS is the worst branch I had ever visited. The incompetent and unprofessionalism of the employees is disturbing. And the tension between the employees is a direct reflection to the customers they serve.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST…. The worst post office I’ve ever witnessed. They deliver wrong packages to our home, we are just kind people and deliver them to the correct address (as it’s not hard to read the address on box and deliver to that address). Also, we got a notification that our packages were delivered 2 days ago which we have yet received.... So they either delivered to incorrect address or kept it for themselves (merry christmas, right?). It also takes them 2-3 days to pick up outgoing mail from our mailbox, and yes we put the red flag up.  MOST VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNORGANIZED POST OFFICE………

Worst post office I have ever witnessed in everywhere I have been stationed. I get my packages were delivered and I NEVER receive them. They always deliver it to someone else and there has been times neighbors was thoughtful enough to bring it but not all the time. This postal service is absolutely horrible. The very few times I actually received my package, the postal worker didnt even bring it to my front door but instead, walked INTO my garage (private property) and placed my packages in my garage where all my boxes are from moving here. Something needs be done before they catch some legal actions in which I've thought about it.

They are so beyond unorganized esp with peoples packages. They will deliver it wherever they feel like dropping it off even though their handheld devices warn them if they are 100's of feet away from the address. Its very annoying paying for things and never getting them.

You guys have the worst staff. I suggest you fire your carriers if they can’t figure out which packages go in which mailbox at Meadows at Homeplace. This is the 3rd time I’ve had my package go in someone else’s box. It is incredible how many people in these apartments have the same issue and nobody does something.

These people are horrible. They decides to put a vacancy card in my mailbox because I don’t get the few pieces of mail out when they want me to. They returned some of my kids mail as well as my own to the sender. They have no explanation for it and it’s ridiculous. This has been going on for 1 year 1 month. If I could give zero stars I would. Management isn’t the best and after talking to him he was full of it with nothing but excuses.

Great people and great service. Any time I've an issue they handle it right away. Had a slight hiccup with a delivery once, stopped by the office and they located everything in just a few minutes. Never experienced a long wait time at the office. Also, probably the first local post office I've ever been able to call directly who had someone helpful answer the phone.

Whoever delivers off 51 and Smith (looks like an Old Lady in the white USPS truck but I can never tell because they're going WAY too fast) needs to SLOW DOWN. You're not the cops. The post isn't an emergency. It's always late anyways!
There's no reason to be doing 40+ on a private dirt road that's posted 20 MPH. Would be a shame if you lost control because of loose gravel or couldn't stop in time because you're above the law. Just sayin!

I'll leave 2 stars. Only because I've had pretty solid service in the actual post office.  The main issues that are present are linked to our mailman. There's been continuous issues with delivery of mail and packages. Some days, he will place inside the mail box or our entry. But this week, he just threw it outside the door and left it where a pet was able to access when the package could have fit in the box. Thankfully the items weren't destroyed. Please be mindful of mail and be considerate!

The staff here is AWESOME... Colleen, Lynn and Marco are always happy to help in anyway. Small town post office with great employees~

Getting real tired of a certain employee too lazy to search in more than one spot for packages that say held for pickup. They're either on the shelf or in the bin next to the shelf but he never looks in the bin and says they're not there even though we can see from the lobby that they're there! If you order stuff just put the ups store as the destination and quit using this post office.

👍🏿's  up to the Supervisor, but one her staff that is slim Afro-American Woman P.O Clerks have a very bad unprofessional attitude towards me when asked to speak to a Supervisor after driving from Philly under the advice of Supervisor Customer Service conducting an investigation over lost certified mail containing $789.85. One would think droving from Philadelphia that my issue was urgent and important.  I simply ask to speak to a supervisor due to the complexity of the problem, inconvenience, and the frustration that it was causing me. I was getting nowhere resolving the issue, so I needed guidance and direction on the next actions to take over my lost mail rather than she giving me her nasty attitude. She willfull minimize my efforts to get any further assistance repetitively, giving me an excuse to prevent me from speaking with a supervisor.  I feel if someone has something important to them, she should have kindly taken my request without being disrespectful, displaying a nasty attitude. That's customer service 101.

They provide you with a fair service. The negative reviews I believe are because the staff does not give you a single smile, but that's ok cause this place is not a restaurant or hotel or people should greet you.

My patience has worn thin with this postal office. I have been told for almost a year that they would provide my rental property with mailbox keys, only for another worker to tell me it is actually up to my property management company. At this point I am not sure who is even telling the truth. Multiple workers have told me it is up to USPS, now someone is changing the story. I just want to access my mail from my own building without having to wait weeks to retrieve all of my mail. I have missed out on important letters because of this situation and it is simply ridiculous. Perhaps I have been far too patient because I understand how it feels to work in customer service but this is absolutely ridiculous at this point. I wish I could give this location 0 stars for their confusion, lack of clarity, and constant changing of their story.

The problems I have been having with USPS, and especially this particular office is RIDICULOUS! I have never been so irate by lack of customer service, professionalism, and just plain service! I cringe when I see a tracking number for a package of mine coming from USPS and not UPS, or any other provider for that matter. I always get my packages later than expected. And this incident that I am writing about takes the cake! I left a package to be returned by UPS (thankfully) and USPS takes my package by mistake! A week goes by and the return company has not received the package! So I call USPS to find out what happened and they cant tell me where my package is! I received the worst attitude from the older women at the front desk and the one I was transferred to in the back. The absolute worst! No empathy, no concern, and just attitude. You would of thought they called me with an issue and not the other way around. This is why I never wish to do business with USPS for as long as I live!

Post office team is very nice and friendly but, the mail carries in the Mat-Su Valley are Absolutely HORRIBLE!! We don't get mail and packages delivered anymore. We don't get slips saying we need to pick up a package. They constantly loose our stuff but, don't worry, it will show they either delivered it, attempted delivery or make up some lame lie about why they couldn't deliver it.  😡 Not to mention the extreme long lines to get to the counter to find out the carrier didn't put your package where it's supposed to be and now it's nowhere to be found.

The Wasilla area is growing quickly

This is the worst post office ever. Lines out the door, no help at the counter due to staffing, and carriers that don’t/ can’t deliver packages regularly (we live in the city). No phones are answered. Nobody cares. USPS needs to add employees/carriers or do a “control/alt/delete” and start over.

Worst PO delivery ever...they LIE constantly about 'not being able to deliver' mail.  They don't even try. The clerks inside the office are sooo under staffed. All they do is put a slip in your box and make you come down and wait 1-2 hours to pick up a package they refuse to deliver.

Lines out the door. 3 people working the desk and they can only get 1 person served every 10 minutes or so between all of them. Almost 2 hours later I get to the desk and they can't find the package I have a slip for, "come back tomorrow".

2018- I love the staff so friendly fast courteous. I’ve been happy with my services that’s why I’ve been coming back for over a decade. I’ve seen these guys work so hard throughout the holidays especially and they’re always in a good mood. I think the fees are reasonable it’s a great location. I’ve seen some pretty unreasonable Be just downright rude and disrespectful because they don’t hear an answer they wanted.
