The service was ok, the food was horrible. I ordered a simple Ceasar salad to share with my daughter the dressing was on top but not the bottom of the salad, sadly some of the lettuce was brown and wilted. The top of the salad tasted like straight tap water. My daughter ordered  garlic Parmesan  tenders and hot honey boneless wings which she asked the waitress for very minimal sauce. Sadly the tenders where drenched in the hot honey sauce and the garlic Parmesan tasted like they added extra salt on them. Not sure if it was the waitress fault for not putting in the order properly (she didn't right anything  down  no note pad) or the cooks fault for not paying attention to the way the order was placed. The fries where all full of salt and cold. I ordered fish and chips and it was cold. The fish had no taste and was very bland. The ketchup on my table had an off taste and it was really dark and when I got one off another table it tasted better and wasn't so dark so it must had been old. My 4 year old ordered a kids chicken strip meal that was tough and dry, it had a beef jerky type of texture. We had to give him one of my daughters  chicken strips because we asked to return the garlic Parmesan and they replaced the  strips, by that time we were all frustrated and really upset and had lost our appetite.  My husband ordered boneless wings they were ok but not great. Nobody really ate. Total waste very upset and disappointed!

The food is great.  Hooters has wings that are just the right size to not be fatty.  I like that they have brought back a super hot sauce.  The ghost pepper sauce is great.  The building is one of the nicest Hooters I’ve ever seen.  The service is unfortunately among the worst.  It is never busy and there is a lot of turn over.  The waiters are not really the problem.  They are nice and usually good at their job.  I imagine they don’t stay busy enough to make a decent living off of tips.  This would explain why you hardly ever see the same staff there if return.  I want this place to remain open due to its location.  I think they could use some more training or a change in management.  They could offer pay per view events and offer some specials to drive traffic like other successful locations.  One of the main reasons it usually wins over Twin Peaks for us is that they offered Coop F5, but the last two times I have been there it is no longer offered and they did not add another IPA to replace it.

The place was AWESOME,The waitress was EXCELLENT, The Philly was AMAZINGLY GOOD AS WELL AS THE FRIED PICKLES AND THE TWISTED TEAS

Came in with my girlfriends and we noticed how dirty the front doors were with greasy finger prints. No one cleans at this restaurant. The restaurant was empty and the servers were doing nothing but standing around talking to each other. Our order took forever even though it was slow. The wings were decent but the creepy old man manager, Rob, sat at the next table over and starred at us eating. Rob never ax us anything. The whole experience was strange and disappointing. The manager has lost control and the restaurant is losing business. We won't be back.

This was my 1st time visiting, and the service was great, but the food was just not what I expected.  Serving a chicken sandwich and a few onion rings on a large plate makes the food look small.  The taste was OK,  nothing to brag about, but nothing to complain about.

The waitress was very pleasant and took good care of us.

My food was just ok. Everything was a little over cooked. A little disappointing son el the food is usually pretty good. The waitresses were as nice as always. Overall fun experience. It always is.

I love their slider combo! It’s packed with so much flavor and you have the option for fries or tater tots! Who doesn’t love that?! I definitely recommend checking them out if you haven’t. The staff is friendly and professional, plus the food always tastes great.

Bree was Awesome!! Very friendly and made Great recommendations Food was fresh and hot and super Yummy especially the Shrimp which I had the spicy garlic  and mild on the side Also Had the 10 naked beings 1/2 garlic habanero and 1/2 garlic parmesan My son had the 10 boneless  wings 1/2  garlic habanero and 1/2 Caribbean jerk And an order of curly fries Kiddos to the cook too

I swear to god this is still the best place to get wings go original go hot, side of fries. It has gotten rather expensive on this visit my fries were stale I hate sending things back but I did and they came back super great and was still able to meet the girlfriend at the mall in time! Love this place!

The Honey Baked Ham Company

Buyer Beware:  I went in to the turkey and ham deal for $132.00.  It comes with four sides and 3.75lbs of turkey.  The guy asked me if 3.00lbs was good enough and I had no idea how much I was suppose to get.  That was my bad.  I chose the four sides and they came back with four packages of what I wanted.  I get home and only three sides were in the bag.  I guess it was the old bait and switch!!!!  If I pay that much I expect better service.  Make sure you get what you buy when you go in here.  I will also try to get my company not to buy $100.00 gift cards for 335 employees every Thanksgiving!  Chaps my hide!!!

Honeybaked Ham is my favorite place to get food for families in grief, in celebration or in illness.
Pick out your size of ham, add any of the following plus more:
* Loaded Mashed Potatoes
* Jiffy Cornbread Dressing
* Green Bean Casserole
* Mac and cheese
* Homemade Au Gratin Potatoes

Always take Hawaiian Rolls. Ham can be served for breakfast, sandwiches and/or dinner.

Several desserts but my favorites are
* Triple Chocolate Cake
* White Coconut Cake or
* South Pecan Pie

Be sure and pick up a bean soup selection. There are several. So delicious with the ham hock.

They also serve sandwiches for lunch.

If you aren't familiar with the store 61st and Memorial, do yourself a favor and get to know them. 💕😋

We catered 50 box lunches for a luncheon and everything was 10/10. Thank you Lee for exceeding our expectations! The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

Always get the best from this Honey Baked hams and Turkeys for over 20 years!  Love the Turkey breast also!🙂👍❤

Pizza Pit

We were traveling home and spent the night in Ames. Having two small kids with us we decided to order pizza and the hotel staff said the Pizza Pit had great pizza and the Taco Pizza was the best. We ordered three pizzas, Taco, Deluxe Combo and a cheese for the kids. The Taco did not disappoint, amazing. Actually ALL the pizza were great. So glad we found the place and the next time we pass through, we will make sure to stop in! Thank you to all the staff and the delivery person!

Pizza was pretty good, a little greasy but good flavor.  My mistake for not asking for well done and extra sauce but overall a good pizza. Rating for me is a 7.7

College town pizza at its finest. Have been eating here since i was a kid. I have never once been disappointed with the quality of the pizza in 15+ years. If you are ever in Ames, this is a must stop.

On the first evening of a recent visit to Ames, I had a chance to try the Pizza Pit. It felt like places I had visited 35 years ago in my high school days. Same sort of furniture, decorations, and music. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the visit got even better when the pizza showed up. Very, very good! I highly recommend this place.

Excellent! Never had a bad experience at Pizza Pit. If you are looking for a consistent product, plus great delivery and service, you cant go wrong with Pizza Pit! I tried the Siriacha Chicken Bites which were crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of heat. I had my usual for Pizza, Sausage, Pepperoni, and Green Olives, 14 inch. The thing that really stands out is the sauce which is rich and tomatoy tasting. All in all very good, thanks Pizza Pit!

Shout out to Sylvia! She went above and beyond for me today! Her customer service was amazing. She answered all my questions and was extremely patient with me as a first time customer. She deserves the world!!

I simply called asking to get an idea, a range for prices. The woman who answered was extremely rude, told me she can't give me info she is in the office and its first come basis, and there's a line outside. I said ok I was just wondering a price range and she then said well get in line and if we have something they can tell you then. WOW I will never ever go here. The delivery of her statements and tone sucked. A little customer service would have gone a long way even if she couldn't give me a price range if she was not rude I would have been ok and understood.

Returned a few days later, and KoKo made my next visit and sandwich much better. It was definitely made with Love.

Placed an order online, which was for the following day - very nice feature on the app. Went to pick-up the order and the place looked closed - bad signage on a busy road, dim lighting, nobody behind the counter or out front, etc. I went in to get the order and they said they were out of the side I ordered but I was offered a sub. NOTHING WAS HOT! I paid $39.99 for a meal for 2 that I had to make at home. The side that was subbed was tasteless. Yes the protein was tasty but all-in-all = HORRIBLE !!

I was there today picking up our Thanksgiving ham. The customer service was great as always! Some of the customers were impatient and rude because they had to wait. I was impressed with the continued positive customer service. Thank you to all of your employees for trying their best and remaining positive while some customers were rude and demanding.

The staff were attentive and amazing! The food was delicious and fresh. It was a welcoming atmosphere, and not over crowded. The restaurant was excessively loud. We were able to have a casual conversation without feeling like we had to yell to hear each other. We received our food fast and didn’t feel rushed to leave. I highly recommend the boneless chipotle honey wings. They have the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. It is a perfect balance for me and not overly hot like I had originally expected. The chipotle honey wings have honestly become my favorite and go to when we eat here. We also recommend their chips and queso! The queso does have a little kick to it but it’s well balanced with the seasoning on the chips. I honestly couldn’t stop eating them! The chips are perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. I cannot recommend this combination enough! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and enthusiastic during our visit! They helped us find the perfect gift for my dad for Christmas! We ended up purchasing two calendars, one for us and one for my dad as a Christmas gift. We asked if they could help us make it a hilarious Christmas gift by signing the his calendar but addressing him as Sasquatch. They were more than happy to help and I know he will get a kick out of it. So, thank you again Clementine and Kylie! You ladies were amazing and I know he will love the calendar! I appreciate y’all’s professionalism and commitment to helping make his gift one he will remember! I know to some it may seem like a simple ask but it’ll mean a lot to him and me! I highly recommend everyone stop by this hooters especially! The entire atmosphere is amazing, and so is the staff! Keep up the amazing work! I know for a fact my family and I will back! Thank you again!

Do not I repeat NOT order the ghost pepper wings. The first bite is delicious and then it sets in.  I am currently on deaths door fighting for my life and this is the bite I took. This is not for the weak

The chicken wings with two high price feel like six pieces of almost a dozen and then not even full wings. It's just really think about it is four pieces of wing cutting pieces. So the food wasn't great at all the mini burgers. Whatever you want to call them sliders. They absolutely suck the meat taste old. I should have tried it there before I took it to the office. I could exchange it but I will say I understand why it's called Hooters now and it's not even the top. But in this specific hooter is the women. There were very friendly. They looked amazing but the food sucked

Uve been to a few hooters in my life and always left with a negative impression. This place was surprisingly very nice! The food was really good here and the service was great! The girls working there are pretty easy  on the eyes, too!

My family went there today 8-4-2023 and had a great time!! Our server Kaylee was super nice and helpful the food was very delicious we will definitely come here again I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich the bun was nice and soft and the heat of the medium buffalo sauce was perfect

I honestly didn't eat anything. I just picked up a door dash. It was the first time I'd been inside the building since it opened some years back. I was really surprised by the size of it and how nice it was.

The traditional interior decor of Hooters usually does nothing for me. The cedar everything an wood on the floors, bartops, urinals and toilet seats is cool if you're eating steak with peanuts for appetizers. And I guess there's really nothing wrong with it but this building is way modern looking with finished concrete floors and lots of glass so you're looking outside everywhere you look including up. I liked it. Good design. It's got a great atmosphere. Will be back when I have more time.

I don’t know why I come back here. I always have the same experience. Terrible service. I don’t understand why a manager lets the staff have a a table setup for a personal snack bar. Some of the staff are more worried about sitting there eating than serving the customers.

Employees seem more interested in hanging out at a designated booth and not noticing what’s actually happening with the bar area. Also noticed management does not notice or imform employees to help customers. They all want to hang out and talk

Awesome. We are from out of town and ended up at the wrong store. Brenda was wonderful. Instead of sending us away both stores worked together to make it happen for us.

I always love this place-but out of town wanted to send a ham to family in another state The clerk was very helpful in a timely matter in getting this done ..

Great people and always the best ham.  Wish they were open more than just holiday season.

The service here seems to get worse every time we go.
Our food arrived cold eventually, but only one of three meals was even accurate, and our appetizer never arrived. We also ordered some sides, but they were wrong, as well. The manager was belligerent and unhelpful, and our waitress was more than inexperienced, as it became apparent she couldn't understand her own notes on our orders. They didn't even try to fix our bill, the entire experience was completely ridiculous.

The grilled chicken sandwich and curly fries didn’t disappoint.

Friendly staff; the wait was long but that is usual with hooters. Food was great till 7pm. Myself, my mother and step father all of us were up all night throwing up. Even through the next day. So before biting into their wings, just check.

This use to be the place to go,  my last visit was my first bad experience.  Slow service to be seated,  food was lukewarm and fries were cold. Then felt rushed when the check was being pushed on us. Same tables were dirty when we left and we were there for over a hour

Well done today! After watching the slow demise of Hooters across the country over the last several years, today was different. Hooters used to be a really great place for a good beer and some great and to have fun. This location in particular as well as several across the country have really gone downhill. From food that was getting bland and tasteless, to waitresses that were not engaging and seemed to resent working at Hooters. Today was different and I am pleased to say that it has restored my faith! The food was great including the butter-based wings which some hooters have taken away. It was hot and flavorful like the old days. My waitress in particular was reminiscent of what a Hooters girl used to be, fun, smiling, actually paid attention to my needs and checked on me! It was a little busy for her to talk to me while I ate but that’s fine. Devyn should be commended as a star of what a Hooters dining experience should be! (Gorgeous to boot) My only complaint was the bathroom was a little dirty, but that could very well have been a nasty customer right before I got there. After debate over the last few years of whether or not to go back to Hooters, I definitely will!

Pizza Hut

I ate from this Pizza Hut for the first time today. My order was ready when I got there, the staff heard me enter and attended to me within a minute (not super friendly, but not rude, either), and the order was correct and warm. No complaints.

If anyone would like to know what the new Melts are like, that is what I ordered: decent sized, not mind-blowingly delicious, but pretty good, the dough was light and flaky (not just regular crust pulled over to make a sandwich)...and for $6.99, I would say it was a pretty good deal. 👍

I spent $40 and got cold pizza because door dash had another delivery along with mine so the normal 10 minute delivery drive time took 35 minutes.  From the tracker, it looked like door dash sat at the first delivery about 15 minutes then took the long route to my house.  Pizza was ok after I heated it in the microwave.

This location is usually excellent. Unfortunately this time our pizza was dry due to not having any sauce on it. There was very little meat and an over abundance of vegetables.

Ordered takeout, the young lady who answered phone was pleasant and friendly.  Our pizza was delicious, hot and on time.  Good Job!

Ordered and charged for a Pepperoni Lovers. Received a regular amount of pepperoni, nothing 'lovers' about it.
