I would give 5 stars, except for the fact that some of the employees seemed annoyed with me telling them about an opened juice container in their store. I was not rude to them at all, but received a rude attitude in response. I believe I could have been treated better by the 2 employees. Other than that, I had a great experience, I even got 40% off my total price once I was rung up since I have a rewards account there. I think some customer service training refreshment is all that's needed.

Impressively good customer service especially considering it’s a crazy weekend of last minute holiday shopping. The employees are happy to help. One guy literally ran to get something I was looking for from the back. Returns are super easy too.

I bought a tv wall mount and when I got home I seen that this has already been opened and used. Unless target test all their products before they sell them. It’s pretty ridiculous that I pay full price for some thing someone has already used.

Ethan and Kitoi are stellar Rock Stars! Their knowledge and critical analysis skills are off the charts. Both go above and beyond to assist and troubleshoot any tech issues. And if your scenario is personally sensitive, they are incredibly compassionate and supportive human beings. They were bright spots bookending my brutal day and I couldn’t be more grateful that they were the angels to rescue me. Ethan and Kitoi, I can’t thank you enough! You salvaged my Birthday. ❤️

If I could give zero stars I would this establishment was dirty and rude, an employee cursed at me after I asked them to go look in the back for an item. I saw a crock roach crawl across the floor in the food isle and the only good part about this experience was leaving!!!!!

The Alaska Walking Store

I had a great experience at The Walking Store thanks to Thomas. He was very knowledgeable, well-dressed, and attentive, and made sure I found the perfect pair of shoes. I really appreciated his excellent customer service skills and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great shopping experience.

I have a bum neck which makes it difficult to find the right shoes. Jerry at the Alaska Walking Store was incredibly kind. He patiently pulled about 15 different pairs for me to try until I found ones that offered the best support and least neck pain. Jerry is knowledgeable, extremely nice, and truly went above and beyond to help me. Thank you very much, Jerry! And kudos to the hiring manager for finding such a rockstar employee.

I recently visited the Alaska Walking Store and had a great experience thanks to the manager Jerry. He really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. His customer service skills were top-notch and I felt like I was in good hands. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for quality footwear and excellent service.

I thought for years that this was just a basic bargain shoe store and then as I even got a little older I thought maybe it’s just for elderly people or people with orthotics. But I went down for a friend tagging along and was just window shopping and I was very surprised. They had UGGs Keans Columbia you name it they got all the brands they’re such good quality yes it is more expensive so be prepared but you are going to get a great quality shoe that’s gonna last years

I got the cutest shoes thsr were platform's they were like 70$, though, but they are nice and fit. The wait time to buy was short, so they get the job done quick

I was looking for the red ruby slippers from the wizard of oz,(for my friend, of course) the sales person said they weren't "that" kind of famous.  So I ended up buying some doc martens

went in for my birthday gift and my daughters 1st pair of shoes as she just took her first steps. unfortunately they smallest size was a toddler 6. shes a 4. so I settled with it as she'll grow into them. my issue which was such a met down as i fell in love with a pair of shoes  . the display sign dead 49.99 and the only pairs in store in my size was the display shoes and at the very tippy top shelf. when i was checking out I noticed my total was higher than what I thought.  99.99 versus 49.99!
he went and verified my price and said it was in the wrong place.

I really really wanted them so , sure I was willing to spend more. though  I said it was the stores error and they should honor the price posted with the pair I wanted.  the customers was right and  when I worked retail years ago ,they were right and we honored it.  I noticed the iridescent logo of the shoe was scratched. there is not a way to fix a thick scratch so he got the pair at the very top and the fabric was fraying like it got caught on something a small tear. so I mentioned a possible discount for a damaged item. he said they cant honor the 49.99 nor discount the shoe. ugh I was upset at this point. the other location was closed and I went with a similar shoe and guess what. not in stock and he was getting frustrated and the other gal as I was asking for too much.i just bought my babys shoes and didnt bother getting anything else for their bogo sale.

that will forever be engrained in my head I was soo excited and felt like a kid that was told no candy in a candy store. lol

Skinny Raven Sports

I have several foot and toè issues Skinny Raven always has a shoe which addresses my issues. I've never met a staff member who wasn't knowledgeable, and eager, to help me walk easier! My trips in follow the same pattern - I go in expecting to buy a certain brand knowing it'll be ok - they have me try on my brand, listen to my fit issues with it, have me try on a couple other brands and I walk out with a brand I brag about every day. Listen to the staff, they've always been right for me and they probably will be for you too!!

Great selection and merchandise is very neatly organized. I didn't see the shirt I wanted in my size.  When an associate asked she, Anna I believe,  said she could print one for me.  Very happy that I got the exact shirt I wanted.  This New Balance Run Alaska shirt has become one of my favorites.  Great for keeping cool on a run and it is a conversation starter too.

Absolutely obsessed with my new running shoes and really appreciate all the time Rosie took to answer my questions and find me the perfect insole + shoe combo! Definitely will be coming here for all my running needs.

I’ve had multiple foot surgeries; over-pronate, & have always had difficulty finding the right fit in shoes. First time shopper at Skinny Raven - my coworkers raved about their customer service so I decided to give it a shot. They were spot on! Within a 5 minute conversation, Tracen at S.R. knew exactly what fit I needed, & got me into the right shoes. I was thrilled to also find a new favorite sock brand - Balega, that Tracen also recommended. (Socks are also a tough find for me, as I struggle with toe seams - but the Balega’s are fantastic!)

I left on cloud nine after this stop — & I cannot emphasize how much I normally despise shoe shopping. A+ Customer Service; Tracen specifically (but warm greetings from everyone I encountered) — highly recommend!!!

Skinny Raven caries my preferred brands and had the models I needed in stock. My new Altra road racing shoes worked perfectly right out of the box the very next day in the Skinny Raven 1/2 marathon; ran faster than I expected and got a very good result.
