Sam is the most knowledgeable and honest expert in fitting the right shoe in the right way for all who got him. He has helped me enormously after I had an ankle fracture and helped me now walk firmly and painlessly. He is the greatest.

Sam is the best!!! I had tingling on the heels of my feet for a few months when I went to see Sam. Not only did he give me the perfect sneakers for my feet, he also taught me what I should be looking for when purchasing shoes.  I went back a few days later to purchase inserts for dress boots. Sam has saved my feet!  I have no more tingling and he is known in my house as the foot whisperer. I 💯 recommend going to see Sam to fit you in the perfect sneaker for you, or to get great inserts!! Sam, the owner of Active Footwear Centre, is an amazing and attentive shoe retailer. . He is not a salesman but rather a trained orthopedic fitter which makes him very knowledgable in regard to the anatomy of the foot. He listened to my needs, took measurements of my foot, and chose shoes that not only fit my needs but also accommodated my physical condition. How fortunate I am to have found him.  I will definitely be a repeat customer. Oh, and I should add that his prices are not exorbitant. I highly, highly recommend this establishment.

SHOE-INN

Came to this store for the first time because it is the only store in the area to carry fiorentini+baker boots. The manager (Kim) ruined my experience. I came to buy boots which are hard to find and left without buying them because I did not want to give a dime to this location and ordered the boots on the store’s website instead. She was incredibly unpleasant, condescending and obnoxious. I came in with my sister-in-law and we were both shocked that someone so obnoxious could be working in sales, let alone managing a retail store. When I asked her about the return policy, she started highlighting a piece of paper as if I cannot read. It’s relevant to mention that I am a lawyer and my sister-in-law is a doctor and she treated us as if we were both illiterate. When I put the boots on the counter, she snatched them away from me as if I was going to run out of the store with them. I came with the intention of supporting a local business and left wishing I’d never set foot in the store. I can’t speak about the other locations, but I would recommend avoiding this location if possible.

Just Our Shoes - Ridgewood Store

I had a great first-time experience with JOS.  I purchased three pair of Thierry Rabotin shoes with the intenion of ensuring the right size; they arrived quickly, in perfect condition. I returned the two that didn't fit using a postage-paid label and received an immediate refund.  (It was clear when I purchased them that they were fully refundable.)  Would buy from them again.

The sales person Maribel was very helpful finding men’s dress shoes. Would definitely come again.

Great customer  service.  Shoes that really fit and are comfortable as well as fashionable.  Maribelle is a delight  to work with and she really  knows  how to fit shoes which is a lost art.

Great first experience, I can see why my wife shops here.

I had incredible service from Maribel at Just Our Shoes in Ridgewood. She went out of her way to ensure my hard to fit feet got what they needed. I am very impressed by her attention, care, expertise, and thoroughness and can’t recommend Just Our Shoes more highly!

Target

Our go to place for anything! Target always has great selections of clothing, accessories, toys, furnitures and beauty products. When I first came to the states, we shopped at target for our dorm stuff. I particularly like target began to partner with designers and produced cute outfits and affordable price. Couple years ago target began to offer food and frozen food sections and also widen their beauty products.

Even begin to fathom how the line in the store gets as long as it does and how it consistently seems to be this way. Also if you are a personal shopper or delivery driver be aware that this location makes you go stand in line at customer service in order to check out with items that have already been paid for, and there is an even longer slower line over there....

A little bit of almost everything, really nice experience!

I shop here quite often and never had a problem. Good customer service and decent prices.

My go to department store. Employees always helpful. Nice that there's a small grocery to grab most used items.

E-rock Footwear

I received exceptional customer service today. I called and asked Sara at the customer service desk if they had a certain baseball card in stock and she went over and checked for me and confirmed they were in stock. I had to drive about 30 minutes to get there so I was floored. She took the time to help me. It’s not every day that you feel like the person wants to help you in retail and I truly appreciate how friendly and helpful she was. Thank you so much Sara.

We made a trip to the pharmacy and picked up some other non pharmacy items. As usual, the short staffed pharmacy took quite awhile. There were only 2 people working, including the pharmacist. The clerk was friendly and helpful. We used the self check out for our other items. The wait wasn't too bad, but we had to wait for the only cashier working to get a break to come help us with our $5 store coupon. If you get there at just the right time, a trip to Target isn't too bad. If your timing is off, it can take a long time to check out. Not the place to go if you only have a few items to pick up.

You need to have an employee working in the electronics department since half of the stuff you have in there it’s locked up and need the key to open. Don’t send me looking all over the whole entire store to find an employee and can’t even find one single employee to help me in the whole store on the floor. Other than the people at the checkout or customer service. That’s ridiculous. Pay somebody to work in the electronics department!!! Target makes plenty of money an can afford to pay to have somebody working in that department at all times. They always have plenty of AT&T people there to sell your freaking cell phone but they can’t help you in electronics department???

This store is a mess. I visited on a Monday morning and they were in the middle of restocking. Some aisles were impassable. I stopped to look at some water and a Target employee with a large loaded push cart rammed into my cart which I had a hold of and my whole body jerked. He just kept on going. I had a list of items I was going to pick up but decided this was not the place to be and left.

Great experience! Found Christmas gifts for all my family. David was very helpful.

Macy's

Love coming here during Christmas! The decorations outside are absolutely beautiful and the backstage is perfect for people who are on a spending budget. You can get absolutely anything at this store and it is incredible for Christmas shopping!

It's been a long long time since I have been to Macy's. When I was a child I thought Macy's was best ever;especially, Macy's on 32th avenue. This Macy's  has changed. The spaces are broken down to designer clothing and such. There is construction going on. Quality clothing is still there and going strong. Busy. I'm glad the store still exists!

Wow, what huge department store, all the major brands are sold here. It’s great to be able to try on shoes and clothes in person to see how they fit and looks on me. Much better than shopping online.

Also we should shop more in person to support actual store or one day they’ll be gone and all we have left is Amazon. How terrible is that.

Superb wine bar with views that relax and service that is relaxed and makes you feel at home ; best part of this store is where they sell  bed sheets where the service is informative;  But the basement where they have kitchen products is more cluttered warehouse with limited service; I also like  the Boudin cafe in the basement which has good food and service.

Solid stores with all types of gems and sales. I like their home goods and furniture section the most.

Large establishment with large sneaker selections for men, women and kids.  Appreciated for clean, organized, friendly staffs and low volume setting on the music.

Just met Jackie the manager at the Paramus location. I have to share because she was so warm, smart and very knowledgeable.I was there to replace a broken backpack. They didn’t have the product and we almost ordered directly from the backpack company but we stayed because of Jackie. She is so efficient here at this location but can totally see her rising quickly. I say promote this woman she is a GEM!

Omg so many working staff members but nobody is willing to help until you go and request for it.

The young blonde woman with the ear guages was very friendly and professional. She was prompt in offering assistance and retrieving our desired shoe size.. Even decent customer service stands out to me as a business owner because it is often lacking more often than not. So I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge the pleasant experience I had with her.

DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

☆☆☆6/8/2023 ~ Loved my shopping experience, minus the restroom situation, and the lack of customer service.
My visit was well worth it, however, I had just left the gym and was caught in traffic and by the time I reached DSW I had to use the restroom and they were both out of order. I do hope that was a temporary situation. Otherwise, the variety of name brand shoes was awesome, along with the discounted prices.  Kudos 👏 to my nugget seekers it's a gold mine...YumShopOn!

I ordered a pair of bootie online and picked up at this store. They didn't check my id at all. Very bad customer service. They didn't greet or say thank you. They didn't show me the shoes I picked up. I tried to wait there to ask question about donate my old shoes but they didn't have any time for me. Next time I will order from Amazon instead.

It has various good brands and reasonable prices for the shoes. Recommend to shop and find your ideal shoes.

I hadn’t been here since Covid hit, it was worth the visit. You should go! There’s nothing like touching and trying on shoes. I’m ready for fall & winter now, thanks DSW!

Wish they still had the 60%+ markdowns. None the less DSW has a great selection of shores. This store has a lot of Coke Haan and Crown Vintage selections.

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly! A few months ago, I had an issue with my order and an associate by the name of Cesar helped me resolve the issue quickly and effectively. He was extremely helpful, friendly and patient and was very informative throughout the whole process. He made sure that the issues was resolved! Truly the most pleasant experience I’ve had!

Very nice DSW location with a larger than usual selection of footwear and accessories (less the mirrors). But overall, plenty of space to take a slow stroll until you find your preferred brands.

DSW didn't offer a huge selection of mens leather shoes but I found what I went there for which was a pair of drivers. Now as far as value, the pair I selected, which is a designer brand (Vince Camuto), in black leather fit perfect and in my size. These are my first pair and my concern is if I'll put significant wear on the bottom side of the toe area. The underside extends past the rubber sole thus creating a protruded area of the last. Let's see what happens.

I was there between 7-8pm on 12/7/22. Walked in, picked out shoes, and these 2 women at the counter were talking amongst themselves as I stood there with a box in my hand waiting to get checked out on line. There was a 0% chance they didn’t see me. Another lady comes along and just walks near the counter and one of the girls asked her if she wanted to be rung up as I continued to stand right next to them with a box of shoes ready to be purchased for 3 minutes as they continued to ignore me lol. Knowing I just got cut, I politely put the box on the counter right next to the other lady waiting for the other female at the counter to simply acknowledge my presence. I guess mistakes happen, right? Well, she legit turned her back on me purposely ignoring me without a single word. I had to walk out of the store at that point and left the shoes on the counter. It was the most odd experience I’ve ever dealt with and just insanely bad customer service. There were 4 people in the vicinity. The 2 female employees, myself and the lady that got checked out 3 minutes after I stood right next to the counter waiting to be called on. Not a single “hello”, “can I help you”, “be right with you”, etc.. Had no other choice but to walk out
