We go here for all our kids' shoes! They have a great selection of shoes and boots for ALL seasons.  The kiddos always walk out with correctly fitting shoes because the staff will measure their feet everytime. Best of all is that most of the time they have shoes we need on their sale/closeout rack.

I have been here several times, and the people who work there are so very helpful and kind. They are knowledgeable about their products and have tips and tricks on what kind of shoes will work for my kiddos with unusually shaped feet (wide feet and high instep).
They are very patient with my children. My four-year-old left saying “she was so sweet“.
The prices are on the higher end, but I choose to have one good supportive pair of shoes for my children, and they wear them almost every day until they grow out of them. They also have a wide selection of sale items. I hope this stride rite always stays in business.

Great customer service! The owner of the store has gone above and beyond in helping us buy shoes. This is the only place we've bought our (many) foster kiddo's shoes for years. Always a great fit!

Barb was great and helped fit my son for his first walking shoes. He was not a happy camper, and both ladies working were wonderful and patient.

We've came here for our kids' shoes the past couple times and the lady that helped us has been super helpful and easy to work with.

Tradehome Shoes

Jackson & the other salesman with the glasses and blonde hair exceeded any expectations I had when it comes to buying a pair of shoes. They are so knowledgeable in all shoes & have a great customer service and always have a positive attitude. They are quick and efficient but also have the patiences with customers of all ages!
Would definitely recommend this shoe store.

My wife and I were recently taking a vacation in Fargo when my sandals busted. Jeremy Vig was such a fantastic person to work with. He set me up with what I needed with just the right amount of humor that made my day. Fantastic service. Fantastic quality!

This was the best shoe buying experience I’ve had. They really listened to what I needed in my shoes. I have bad feet that make buying shoes really difficult. Journeys

If I could give 0 stars it would be more fitting. Terrible experience. We love journeys and have shopped here since our 8yr old started wearing shoes. Today we experienced the most disrespectful, rude, and childish customer experience we’ve ever experienced at Journeys. I did not get the proper help to purchase shoes. In fact, all of them sat behind the counter and provided zero help. I needed a size 4 in kids and the short lady with dark shoulder length hair behind the counter said they didn’t carry that size and turned around to proceed to show her coworkers something on her phone. Obviously I knew they could offer me a size in women’s that would fit my daughter but they failed to do so. I had to complain of their lack of good customer service to get help. A new employee offered to help me while the rest hid in the back and giggled at their disrespect .. we got the shoes in women’s and left. Terrible. Had I not promised my daughter shoes TODAY,  We would have waited and ordered online to avoid this nonsense. Takes 0 efforts to be kind and deliver exceptional customer service.

Tyler, I think it was, gave us a laugh with his pitches, but he's a keeper. Wish them the best there, even though we did not purchase anything, no not even the shoe protector... haha

I was in there to return some shoes my husband decided he didn’t like. The lady was rude to me as she asked why I was returning them. She just had a yucky tone of voice and didn’t make me feel very good. I really didn’t get a positive, welcoming vibe in that store.

The female employee that was working the register this evening is incredibly rude and has a horrible attitude. She wears glasses and has blonde streaks in her hair. When we asked if this store had a certain size in Hey Dude shoes for toddlers, she was very snarky and snippy. She didn't listen to what we said when rudely asked what size after being told more than once. When she brought out the shoe boxes, she rudely and aggressively handed them to us.

I understand it's the holiday season and working in retail can be crazy and stressful, but don't work in retail if you have a nasty attitude and can't be nice to your customers.

Not friendly and no idea of what basic customer service looks like. Not one worker behind the desk looked or asked if I wanted to try anything on. I had to go out of my way to ask them to grab a size for me. Felt like I was inconveniencing them by asking they do their job. It was awkward and eventually I just left. It really sucks because there is not that many shoe stores in fargo and now one less I will visit.

Famous Footwear

We got an awesome deal and found great shoes for my daughter. It wasn't that much more expensive than going to a cheaper place with cheap shoes. I'm glad we went here and got name brand shoes and I'm happy to know it will lend her the foot support she needed. Highly recommend!

I had never been to any Famous Footwear store before. The manager, Erin, took excellent care of me. While they didn't have a lot of options for me, she knew exactly what my options were and had me out in under half an hour. And I left with a pair of shoes I love. :)

used to do all our kids shoe shopping here. advertise buy one get one half off, but the half off does not apply to Nike, converse, hey dudes, or I believe addidas..............so 95% of the store does not count for the advertised sale. will shop someplace else from now on. would have been better to not advertise the sale at all

On Your Feet

Stopped by to get shoes of a brand recommended by my podiatrist. The saleswoman cheerfully spent about an hour trying to find a pair of shoes to fit my very long, narrow feet. When we decided they didn’t have anything that would work, she called their other branch store and told me what sizes and models she thought I needed to find. She was obviously interested in seeing that I got the right shoes even if I didn’t buy them there. They’ll get my business again!

Me and my mom walked in and thought the selection was great. But the customer service was awful. We felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Were we not the standard of what typically walks into that store? Is there a bias there? Maybe. But judging by other customer reviews I’ve come to the conclusion they just don’t care about customer service.

This shoe store has a wide variety of high quality shoes and socks. The staff are nice to talk with and are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Patrick helped me find the right shoes for me, which isn't easy since I have wide feet and high arches. If there's anything bad I can say about On Your Feet is their products are expensive.

I have purchased from this store in the past, during covid, and the staff were not what I would call friendly.  They will assist you, but act as though they are doing you a great favor by doing so.  I chalked it up to the pandemic and possibly the employees not really wanting to be there.  I went back this past weekend and the vibe was essentially the same.   I ended up being assisted by a lady who brought me shoes in the size I thought I might need.  As it turned out I needed a larger size and this is when it went south as she rudely told me she didn't have that color in the other size but would look, and I asked for an additional color just in case.  She huffed away and brought back a pair of shoes in the additional color I requested, tossed them on the floor, and then went off to ring someone up.  I decided to see if I could just find the same pair of shoes online and did see the same brand through a well known online store that starts with a Z, and ordered the shoes there in the size I needed.  I was happy to support a local store but honestly don't care to be treated disrespectfully, by people who don't seem to be happy in their employment.

This place is wonderful! They customized my shoe to fit me , I have flat feet and they showed me an insole that has worked wonders for me ! They’re all so kind and each individual person is treated to fit their needs. All this place needed was new management! Huge thanks to Payton and kaden. The return policy is stress free too! I had to return a pair for my son and it was so smooth! They put the funds back into my account within 2 days just like they said.

Peyton was great and so was the rest of the staff! Got myself a nice pair of ON Clouds and my dad got some Hokas.

This is the place to get your Ecco shoes! I just had to retire my 9 year old shoes and was in and out with a new pair in 10 minutes! Why pay $50 every year when $180 gets you almost 10 years.

General negative experience from working with the sizing process to returning shoes that were too small. After returning home, found that the shoes purchased didn’t fit properly with the inserts provided and after I returned to the store, found out that the store didn’t have a larger size. I tried to get my credit card credited for the return but they would only provide an in-store credit, which was eventually changed after much time and effort. Credit (“bonus credit” for previous purchase) from a different, previously purchased pair of shoes was nullified and could not be carried over to future purchases after returning the pair of shoes that didn’t fit. Tried to explain my situation, but sales man kept talking over me and wouldn’t allow me to speak.

They are thrives  at this store  my son set his wallet down to try on shoes and forgot  his wallet  when he  left so he  went back in to get it  and  they sd they  tried to catch him as soon as he left but didn't see where he went so tjey looked  threw it  to find his info  and they were going  to try to find him on Facebook  but hadn't  had gotten to it yet. When my son opened  it to check his 100 bill was missing  when he asked them about  it they sd they weren't  sure  then sd if it was such a problem  they could  give him back 50. Which he didn't  get either.  This place is awful  that they will steal from young kids and customers.    I will  be telling  everyone  I know  about  this. Also wouldn't  let him see the cameras. Great employee  owed company  . If you can't make a.sale just steal there money.

As I walked inside the employee sat behind the register, never looking up from his phone. I was inside for about 10 mins & at no point was I acknowledged. When I realized I wouldn’t be helped, I walked over, greeted him & asked if he had a particular ugg in stock. Before I could finish the question he said “Nope”. I must’ve been interrupting his busy schedule.

Customer service at this location was nonexistent.

We bought 2 pair of shoes today.Zach was fantastic!! My grandson is 9 years old it is very hard to find shoes that fit him properly. Zach brought out a bunch of shoes tell he found the ones that fit him correctly. He is fantastic at his job and customer service. We will be buying all his shoes here from this point on and I will be telling everyone about the great service we received  today.

I mean…. It’s a journeys…. The customer service was terrible. The employee was rude and not helpful once so ever.

Great staff! Libby took the time to catch me up to speed on their newest Ugg’s even though I was just window shopping. Will be back for those Ugg’s!

Red Wing - Bismarck, ND

Two staff members were present. I had been served by Troy the day before. Today he went out of his way to make a difference. He stayed with me even though it was his day off and he had a very important family engagement to attend to. Both men demonstrated knowledge and skill in attending to customer needs. While I was present in the store, I witnessed several other customers being served with the same care as I received. This store is 8 hours from my home! Together, they make me want to return just to experience their personal warmth, customer-centered kindness, and skill.

The Bismarck Store is fantastic.

Had a pair of boots that were purchased and were the wrong size.
Circumstances made it so we could not get to the store to exchange within the 30 days.
They took care of us, did the exchange for us.

*Do not recommend the Minot ND Store.  Have had questionable to bad customer service there.

I thought for a moment that Worx Boots were something that were readily available at Walmart, wrong I was. That's TreadSafe brand.

The boots that I purchased fulfilled the needs I have and I am still learning to use them in a way to maximize comfort.

The knowledgeable staff helped me realize the need for arch support which I took the opportunity to equip my everyday sneakers with even though I did not buy redwing.

If I had it to do over again, I would prefer to buy redwing brand for the higher price point but I am on an extremely limited income currently so worx, worx for now.

Great place to get good quality shoes. After vigorous searching it's the only place now that doesn't have plastic bottoms on their shoes and are not made from a few cheap layers of fabric. I did get different insoles for the shoes at time of purchase and they still feel great! My shoes have lasted 3 yrs so far! There's a few things in life you don't buy cheap one is a bed and the other is shoes. While sometimes the price is a bit steep, you pay for the quality and longevity. Definitely recommend!

I went in just expecting a shoe store but the experience was so much more. I never expected them to map the pressure points on my feet and even go in depth about socks and insoles. I left with a great pair of boots and insoles and will be returning for all work boot purchases in the future.

I took advantage of the clearance sale going on 😁. Connie and Becky were extremely helpful in knowledge of the shoes, as well as showing me many options. I loved my experience there. These girls were awesome!!!

My mom went to shoezam on Sunday and they don’t have a website but she found their hours online and said they’re open, but when she got there, they weren’t open and nobody was there. She went there Sunday because the paper said there was a sale Sunday through Wednesday. They’re closed sundays, so what the heck! They must’ve forgotten they were closed.

Target

Target is always a great experience.  Team members are always courteous and friendly.   I enjoy the drive up.  Just the convenience of it when I don’t have time to go into the store to shop. Especially now in November when it’s cold in Minnesota.

I’m a Target girl. My mom is obsessed with Target (classic), so I’ve grown up mainly going there and it’s become second nature to choose Target first. Plus, there’s just SO much there beyond groceries.

When in the area, I’d definitely prefer to go to this Moorhead one over the Fargo Target. Though it’s much smaller so it doesn’t have near as much, it’s also way less busy than the Fargo one. The Fargo one is insane at all times of day, plus they tried some weird remodel so that it’s more like a department store now and it just epically failed. So yeah, I’ll stick to Moorhead.

Nice store but not nearly as many clearance items like Ive seen n loved thru the years. I used to love Targets clearance racks. Not much available much anymore.

It's Target? Other than the isles were full of boxes reminding me of Walmart, it fast clean and quick.  Not sure why it's still so small though.  Plenty of space to get a bigger store.

There are never any team members around when I'm shopping any time in the afternoon or evening. Unbelievably frustrating because items are never actually in the places the Target app says they are, usually in a different aisle that makes no sense to anyone. If I am able to find a team member to help (rare), they get just as confused about where these items are so I'm assuming it's a person/group of people that don't care where they are stocking things, just that they are stocked. I guess it's just time to take my money elsewhere.
