I recently ordered and had plantation shutters installed by Budget Blinds on several windows in my home. I would give the owner, Bill, and his employees,  Joe and Susan, the highest possible rating. I highly recommend this team at Budget Blinds because from start to finish they showed exemplary attentiveness, integrity, professionalism, and craftsmanship. When I first called them, Bill came out quickly to measure and quote a price.  I ordered a custom color shutter which took a little longer to get in because I had to approve a color match before they were made. It was well worth the wait and perfectly matches my trim. The quality is superior to shutters I had installed in two previous homes. Susan was pleasant to deal with and relay messages to Bill. Bill was very fair and honest in his pricing. Bill and Joe were personable and showed such professionalism and attention to detail during the removal of my old shutters and installation of the new shutters. I really appreciated how careful they were. If you need quality plantation shutters at a reasonable price and want them to be carefully and correctly installed, please give Bill and his team at Budget Blinds a call!

I had blinds repaired that a dog had gotten tangled up in. Bill did a great job and rearranged the slats so the one that was nibbled on wasn’t as obvious. The price was very reasonable.
The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is their communications. They did not call when the blinds were ready. Whenever I called them, they said I needed to talk to Bill and he was a little difficult to get hold of. I left a message with some kind of attendant when they were not in the office and never received a return call.

Excellent service. Bill repaired my blind while I waited just so I wouldn't have to drive back from High Point to pick up the next day. I kinda felt bad paying what he charged me. VERY reasonable. I would definitely do business with Budget Blinds again.

Walmart Supercenter

This Walmart is updated and has really stepped up its game. Very clean and well put together. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There was a good mix of cashiers and also some self checkout spots that even had some helpful attendants. Ample parking lot. Prices are a tad lower than the other retail giant down the street. You just don’t need a membership. It has a great fresh produce selection. The deli is great and we got fresh meat. All shelves were staffed. They have a huge outdoor selection on the right side of the store. It’s definitely tailored to the mountainous area. Will be back.

Josh 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 employee was a super big help,  smiling and friendly. Lots of clearence prices. This store is a super center store so it has everything. So much more then a regular Walmart store.

It has 2 self check out areas, which is really nice if you are only getting a few items!

Great service easy checkout no wait time!

Nice Walmart.  Clean, reasonable prices.  In stark contrast to the robbery that stores in local towns commit.  One star deduction for putrid toilet.

Overall, this is a serviceable Walmart. Supply chain issues have been a consistent issue with this location. It leaves a lot to be desired, not at the fault of the employees. If you find something here that you like, expect it to be out of stock regularly. The LC valley needs an alternative.

From measuring and placing an order through final installation all of the staff have  done a great job. They kept us informed of the timeline on how long it would take for shutter/blind assembly through delivery. They installed around our renovation timeline and came back to remove and replace shutters when glass had to be replaced. True professionals, Great value and quality products!

Have used Budget Blinds twice.  They have a great selection and good service.  When they installed shutters in my bathrooms, they looked great and they left no mess.  They will be installing faux wood blinds in the remaining windows in about 4 weeks.  Their selection of colors, etc. was great.

Mrs. Brigit Young was fabulous! She was prompt, courteous and extremely professional. Brigit answered all of our questions and was exceptionally helpful in our decision making. We were highly satisfied and would recommend Budget Blinds of Tallahassee. Also, Chason Marshall came when shades came in. He took down old blackout shades and shutters, installed new blackout shades and put shutters back up. He did a superb job and was extremely professional and polite!😊

Brigit was called. She arrived at my home, discussed what I was interested in replacing verticals in MBR and Den which lead out to deck, and in-ground pool, and spa.

Brigit was very friendly, professional, and hshowed me vertical blinds that were of great interest, material and color.

We have been very satisfied with our purchase of Budget Blinds, which we had installed in our whole house when we built our new home 10 years ago.  Mark and Robin Holsopple have since taken over the local franchise. We recently needed some shade repairs and one complete shade replacement, all of which were covered under the waranty we originally purchased. Mark worked with us to complete all of the necessary repairs and the replacement without question or additional cost.  We are very pleased with his professional service and would recommend him and Robin to anyone needing window treatments.

Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Greater Columbia

Just today we finished a multi-year, non-voluntary, insurance covered house renovation for water damage caused by an attic HVAC leak. Paul Davis(PD) did ALL of the repair portion for my renovation.

There were several issues I encountered along the way due to certain PD employees. Due to these issues I left a low previous review on a different platform. Ultimately PD fired these individuals and the crew that replaced them has been Top Notch. The Bill and Nick team were AMAZING!

I have stated several times that if I’d had Nick working my house from the beginning things would have been PERFECT! He even went back and fixed soo many of issues left by the previous crew.

I unfairly stated that I would not recommend PD to a friend (I stand by that with the initial crew). However, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the team that Paul Davis has working for them now and give thanks to them for seeing an issue and taking appropriate steps to fix it. Props to Lucia for the handling of my previous review!

PD completed the following:

Full kitchen remodel and it looks amazing! New cabinets, new Flooring, I went with a custom counter top but they installed all the appliances. Everything from pull out shelves and soft close drawers. Nick nailed all of it.

Full bathroom remodel. New flooring, new tub, new vanity, new sheet rock. Again, it looks amazing!

New flooring throughout 90% of the house. All looks perfect! I went with a Rigid Vinyl Plank flooring and it is exactly what I hoped for.

Ceiling install in 90% of the house. I decided against popcorn ceilings for ease of cleaning and definitely should have gone with a higher level of ceiling finish (I didn’t even know that was a thing).

New walls in 90% of the house. All well done and painted quickly. Paint crew was amazing as well.

New attic access, new light fixtures, new fans, new appliances. Everything good to go.

All things considered I WOULD HIGHLY recommend Paul Davis to a friend and am glad that Nick, Bill, and Lucia were able to finish this years long saga.

Paul Davis came to the rescue after another restoration company decided to abandon the job. PD was professional, their subcontractors were on time, treated us like family, and performed well. The workmanship was excellent. Oh, Paul Davis didn't hound us and threaten to take a lien out on our home during the negotiations with our insurance company; we actually felt like the clients! It was truly a pleasure working with them.

I am very pleased with the prompt response and service I received from Paul Davis Restoration. Within an hour of my call to my Homeowners insurance I had a call from a representative of Paul Davis Restoration, three hours after that I had technicians (Justin and Ned) in my home starting the mitigation service. Thank you.

Remodeled bathroom to include a vanity.  Nick was very skilled with carpentry, electric, and tile work. Recommend this company enthusiastically.

The Paul Davis in Lexington, SC is a complete scam! They use cheap contract services and cut corners with supplies and materials. Collecting profit from both sides, customer and insurance, in an back-handed way. My advice, choose another repair estimator service, or you will be paying more than you should.

Greedy place during Covid -19 Pandemic they gave a $1.00 raise that I was way overdue for getting my pay raise. They then took my MyShare PayOut Bonuses Away from me, while it was a frontline worker. Endangering my life with Covid-19. Not very nice.

Clean and friendly staff. It’s a Walmart, so don’t expect it to be perfect. It’s small and I’m used to bigger Walmarts since I’m coming from bigger towns so they don’t always have everything I need/want. But overall, it’s a great Walmart. Wish the sales would be as good as Pullman Walmart though

Well besides the fact it is a Walmart are Walmart is pretty decent. I give it 4 stars which is really good compared to other Walmart. Still feels like it's own planet.

This company SAYS that they hire people with criminal backgrounds and/or felonies. This is NOT actually true. They in fact DO NOT. And they said in fact, that the 3rd party background check outfit they hired to retrieve background checks for potential employee candidates are the ones who "make the decision to hire or not to hire, they claim the HR hiring manager doesn't have anything to do with the decision AND she claimed it's illegal for any employee of walmart management or not, to see candidates results of the pre-screening background check. I found all this information very interesting and quite telling of this huge corporation and their policies and procedures. That is all. Love to shop there in spite of the false claims they have posted on their main website under career opportunities. And personally I think it's not only wrong, but bogus as well. My opinion!

Self checkout should not have non-tech-savvy folks working. I use self checkout to be fast, not to watch someone try to figure out the technology I've been using for a decade.

Check your food when you do pick up. My last 5 orders have all had at least 1 expired food or drink. The milk we got was already 2 days past expiration and it still ended up in our trunk.  Our worse order had 4 expired items in 1 bag.

Often, things are marked out of stock. We walk in and there are shelves full of the item. Also, check the front end soda coolers and the mold growing on the racks. Unreal.

Not the nicest employees, especially the self checkout pit bosses. And the place is just plain dirty.

It was fully stocked.  You could find everything needed in many sizes.

The one near my house is Renton and nothing is stocked.

Clean restrooms, polite staff and bright parking lot.

Budget Blinds of Greensboro

Budget Blinds gave me an excellent quality product. They had many styles, colors and a lot of material to choose from. The blinds look great and the action of them is very smooth. The installer, Brian, was very professional and did a great job in our home. When he left everything was cleaned up and adjusted to our satisfaction. It was nice that the company sent information about the installer so there was no question as to the person that was coming. The company representative that came initially to talk with us was very informative and was a no pressure sale for us. Great company and team to work with. Would highly recommend them. Hoyt

Our experience with Budget Blinds got off to a great start when Dalton came out and measured the windows in our new home. He was extremely helpful and informative going over our different options. We were expecting our blinds to take 3-5 weeks to come in. However, we were extremely delighted and surprised when they came in after only 2 weeks! The team of 3 guys that installed our blinds today were very professional, kind, and efficient! They installed blinds in our entire house in less than 45 minutes! They did an exceptional job! I had a great experience with Budget Blinds! They provided expert guidance in selecting a solar shade. When we ran into a problem (the wainscotting on my molding getting in the way of free movement of the shade), they came up with a practical solution that they executed very professionally. I am very pleased with my new blinds. Measurements  and an estimate were given at the same visit by one of the owners. They arrived in a timely manner and were installed with no mess whatsoever.  I will recommend  this company to anyone who asks me.

First and foremost, my installer Curtis was TEN STARS! Hands down! So the four stars do not reflect his service to me but I doubt google will let me leave two reviews so I must do this all at once and can’t put the 5 start that reflect Curtis’s service. And Matt who did my consultation & measurements was amazing as well! Above and beyond, answered every question I had, welcoming, presented themselves well, very professional, respectful and people-friendly “. Even took their shoes off at my front door! The four stars are for the slight inconveniences I faced with hours of operation, payment options & difference in the color of my vertical vs standard blinds I ordered. They are only able to come out on weekdays by 5pm. This is for consultations and installing as well. I commute 35mins to work & don’t get off until 530pm Mon-Fri so this proved very difficult for me to work around as a single mom in an area I am pretty new to not knowing anyone around who could help stand in my place with Budget Blinds while I worked. But Laura surly tried her best to work with me on stretching the time and compromising. But I ended up just having to work around it by waiting a little longer for a holiday which I was off of work. Also, there is no way to pay online and believe me, I searched the whole website which in turn made me have to call and ask how to pay. Budget Blinds only accepts checks, money orders or payment over the phone with you giving them your debit info. And that I don’t like. Also, the money doesn’t post right away. It took about 4 business days to come out of my account which was still fine but without an email of receipt and confirmation, I had to keep checking my account instead worrying they didn’t run my card numbers correctly. I even emailed and asked for a receipt after but didn’t receive it. When calling, it’s always a different person who answers and then they get someone to call back which means you may have to explain who you are, who you spoke with, who helped you, your zip code and what is needed and then get a call back. They do call you back though and that I do like! Every single person I had to speak to on that phone when I had to call was above and beyond on the customer service as well and very nice and friendly and clearly relayed  messages to Matt or Laura when I needed. And they both always contacted me back asap. Another thing I didn’t like, was that my blinds component to open or close them don’t have grip on them, so when turning it, it’a like turning a straw. My friend who is the reason I picked budget blind, for her blinds from them two years ago, look just like mine and have square grips at the bottom that make hers way easier to open and close. I’m guess this is a different manufacturer than whoever they used for her blinds at the time. Also, my sliding glass window blinds are not the same in color as my blinds so the colors are slight different and noticeable as the sliding window is between the two side windows in my living room. But I am happy with the blinds themselves and the quality. Their customer service alone is why I will be back (even after the few inconveniences I face) when I buy my next home as well!!

Raphael & Brian did a fabulous job.  They were very focused...& worked well as a team.  They were very professional & personable.  When a situation a rose towards the end, they figured out the problem & corrected it.  We would highly recommend them & the business.

The installers were very courteous and very efficient doing the installation.  I would recommend Budget Blinds to anyone who is in the market for new window treatments.  The windows in my sunroom look fantastic now.

Paul Davis Restoration Triad East

Paul Davis Restoration did a Great job after our bottom floor flooded and had to be gutted and Restored. If it wasnt for one of their painting subcontractor being very rude and poor ability to deal with the homeowners we would have rated the experience a 5 Star. But Muchael the superintendent sent in another paint crew and they made the finish product beautiful and nicer than before the claim. Thank you Michael and Paul Davis Restoration!

I had the privilege of working with Paul Davis Restoration under some not so ideal circumstances, & they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of without me having to deal with the “hard stuff”.  This company was so patient working with my homeowners insurance, & fought for me to get the coverage I needed to replace my bathroom without me having to pay extra. The workers were so respectful of my home & did some amazing work.  I will definitely be using Paul Davis Restoration in the future!
