Johnnie is an incredible teacher! I feel so comfortable in her classes and the flow is always incredible! I always recommend her classes to anyone who wants to take one at Y6! Also as a side note, the GM Kenzie is fantastic and makes the place feel so welcoming every time!!

As a Yogi beginner, I was very intimidated to try it for the first time. I was worried I'd feel awkward and out of place, but I was wrong. Mary Kate and the Y6 team are passionate, fun, and supportive. I still feel awkward 😬 but Y6 makes me feel at home. Highly recommend!

Love love love this yoga studio! The variety of classes are amazing. Depending on what your in the mood for, they got you! If you want to sweat, then look no further! Teachers are kind and welcoming! Staff is always friendly! Seriously try this place out and you will be hooked!

Awesome yoga studio! The hands down best staff imaginable! A completely no judgment atmosphere with extremely encouraging individuals that genuinely care about you. What's better is that they actually remember you, know your name, and are invested in you. I love this place. You really need to come check it out!

Great find for my Memphis visits. I'll make it a point to set up my travel so I'm there Tuesday evenings at 7:30 with Meridth (sp?). Sooo friendly staff and a fantastic room for the slow flow vibe & pace. I loved everything about it and i know all my yoga sensei's would love you too... AND MY FIRST CLASS WAS FREE! 👍🏽👊🏽🙏🏽👀

Downtown Yoga

Super welcoming to out-of-towners, and a really diverse range of classes available at a reasonable one class drop in rate. Would definitely recommend if visiting (I assume locals already know how good it is!)

Leigh was THE BEST instructor. Since Covid I haven’t been able to find another class or instructor like her. Where is she?

Visiting from out-of-town. Found this on google maps. Purchased a drop-in class for $13 on the Mindbody app & in person for my plus-one who did not have the app. Easy. Mats were available there for use for free-good! Clean facility. Maggie the instructor was well-paced with a soothing voice, fantastic! Do recommend

My colleagues and I travel to Memphis for work and always make a point to make it to the all levels Vinyasa class on Wednesday evenings. We've tried other classes as well (there are a variety to meet any need or time of day). Additionally, there is a bathroom/small changing room in the back with storage cubbies to stow your belongings during class. A great studio and happy addition to downtown!

I went to the Sunday Yin/Restorative class with Leigh, who was excellent. It's a great way to reset before the start of a new week.

Fire Fitness

This is dead a$$ the best place to workout in Grand Rapids and the cleanest. The vibes are great and people who go here are awesome and respectful. You get opportunities to win free prizes and they give ways to strive to better yourself. Ownership actually cares about their clients. Not sure what the one star review is on this page. Sounds like personal problems. Everything is clean and perfectly maintained. Pretty sure that cardio equipment faces the outside in ANY gym you go to. If you’re going to write a negative review at least make it legit and make sense. Anyways rant over. Love this place!

Great gym!  I haven't been to a gym in years and this place instantly felt like I belonged there.  Very friendly staff, nice equipment, and overall welcoming feel.  I highly recommend!

Everything is new and super clean! Great space and atmosphere, friendly community. The owner is a super great guy. Down to earth, very helpful, and cares about the input and satisfaction of the members. I’ve been a regular at the other gyms in town, and this one is my favorite by far. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I own a gym in Wyoming. We were here for a week and worried we wouldn’t be able to get a good lift in. Fire fitness was great! We were able to purchase a week pass.The staff was great and the gym was welcoming, clean, and offered everything for a full body work out and more.  I highly recommend you check it out if you are ever in the area!

Fire Fitness is the perfect gym for those who need 24/7 Access to fit into their schedule. The gym's environment is calm, yet motivating...perfect for a fierce workout. I'd recommend this gym to anyone and everyone. If you're concerned about the cost, it is a fair price and totally worth what you get.

Burn Boot Camp

Burn bootcamp is the best workout community to be a part of because that’s exactly what it is… a community, a family, a place to belong.  There is something magical about a place that all levels of fitness, genders, ages, etc. feel like they belong together.  Every workout is different, they are always challenging, and each trainer brings their own personality and flare to training with the same effectiveness as the next.  You will make friends you never expected and feel encouraged every step of the way.  Burn is more than just a gym and I encourage everyone reading this to come experience it for yourself!

There is undoubtedly a love-hate relationship there! Even though Burn Boot Camp is going to burn, you still wanting to return! The setting is stunning and inspiring! If you're sick of doing the same workouts at the gym! You should give the camp a try for a week; you'll be really impressed. These exercises will challenge you and help you reach your fitness goal! I'm a Soldier, and these exercises will challenge you and help you reach your fitness objective! Plus, it just lasts 45 minutes and includes both individual and group exercise! I've only been there for three days, but I can already picture myself continuing to do this.

I have been part of the Burn Boot Camp family for almost six months (just hit my 100th camp!), but the community there made me feel welcome from day one. I feel massive improvements in my energy level, strength, and overall well being. I was nervous to join Burn, I had never lifted weights before, but the level of support I received has been nothing but outstanding. I'm stronger than I knew! There are new protocols each week, I'm always surprised and never bored, which keeps me coming back. Each camp is 45 minutes long and are either focusing on specific muscle groups or style of workout. There is always a warm-up and a finisher followed by stretching. The trainers are engaged, motivating, and skilled, modifying exercises for me when my sciatica is bothering me, or pushing me with heavier weights or a new challenge. It feels like a personal training session in a group fitness environment. The focus meetings keep me accountable, teach me about fueling my body better, and help me reframe negative self-talk. They are working with me so I can reach my personal goals. I can confidently say, every single time I leave Burn, I feel better about myself.

The space is clean and inviting with an awesome floating floor so my knees stay happy! The times are convenient if your a morning person or evening person, there's a camp for you. Certain camps have FREE childwatch. My two girls, 5 and 7, love hanging with the other kiddos. There's a window that they can peer in and see us.

All fitness levels are welcome, it truly is a highly encouraging, no judgement zone. It is the best thing I have done for myself in a long time, I'm so happy to be part of such an amazing community and encourage everyone to check it out.

Burn lake Zurich is just what I needed! Not only are the workouts challenging and fun but there is a sense of community. I’m a bit of an introvert when it comes to fitness and never liked group fitness so I didn’t think I would like this, but everyone is just so great and supportive it’s impossible to not feel good after a workout here. The music is great, the coaches are great, and it’s nice to interact with other women and mamas for 45 minutes of my day. Makes me remember other people are trying to be fit and have life challenges too. Everybody is patient and welcoming and for me i leave here with a self esteem boost on top of a killer workout.

I have been coming here for over a year and a half and don't regret it one bit! The trainers are wonderful- so kind, caring, and push you to do your best. The facility is clean and such a welcoming atmosphere.

Anytime Fitness

This was my home gym for a year, and when I moved back in the area I was so excited to get back to Lombard north. The community was crucial for loving this location but also it WAS the cleanest. It was very clean up until about a month ago. I don’t know what happened but the bathrooms are disgusting and the floor is always dirty now, it’s always disorganized. I have to organize to start my workout. The staff used to be on top of getting people to clean equipment, but half the people working out just walk away from equipment without cleaning or re-racking. The old manager Evelyn and even some do the personal trainers used to call that out. This place really went down hill. Sorry guys but this is surprising for your location. The community is gone and it feels trashy like many other anytime fitness.

MAJOR SCAM AND DISHONEST STAFF. Save yourself the time and money. I have been a member of quite a few gyms and this was honestly the worst experience I've ever had. This is my secondary gym membership in addition to my primary at LifeTime. The manager here (David Mendez) informed me on signing up that there is a contract I would need to sign and when I informed him that I'd be leaving the state and there won't be one near me, he said at that point, submitting proof of relocation is sufficient for cancellation. Well, fast forward and they refused to cancel my membership. I called, emailed, and submitted proof, and when I finally got a hold of David directly, he said he'll go ahead an finally cancel my membership (left on a recorded VM). I also received email confirmation with a cancellation receipt attached. Fast forward again, my "balance" is in collections, the owner here is evading me, and David "no longer works here". I filed a report with the BBB and contacted the collections company and had to report this as a violation of the FDCPA articles. I spoke to another member who said David told him that come time to cancel that member's membership, he'll enter a giftcard number in the system as a payment method. That sounds illegal to me! Honestly, this has been a NIGHTMARE to resolve. No gym membership is worth this much time and effort. Go to LA Fitness. Same price, and they actually clean the gym

Great equipment selection and I noticed a feel of community here. Lots of different groups chatting between or during workouts, people working out together, etc. They have good free weights, a good kettle bell selection, good private/group space etc. One of the better Anytimes I’ve seen while traveling for work

This Anytime Fitness has a great array of machines, is clean, and spacious. There is also a nice amount of supplements available for purchase as well as a free massage machine. This location also has a studio and plenty of cardio machines. Parking and wifi are also available.

What a dump! Such an absolute shame. I travel a lot for work and one of my favorite things about Anytime is that I have access to all locations. While my schedule might be all over the place, this allows my exercise to stay somewhat routine. The location on North Ave is the closest to my home and when I moved here I felt so lucky to have such a nice gym so close. Every time I came in I was greeted by people who knew my name and a facility that was clean and orderly. As soon as ownership changed and the woman who was running things was shouldered out things immediately went downhill. I cannot remember the last time I saw anyone actually working at this location. Half of the equipment is broken, the bathrooms are disgusting, and there's no one to contact if you have issues. Today I came in and miraculously saw someone working. Only to be told that the bathrooms were all clogged and over flowing and he was trying to get ahold of management to see what to do. I will sadly be finding a new gym after this. While I know all gyms are out for money, maybe find one that's not so obvious about it.

This place is awesome. I saw an ad on Facebook and decided to try them out. Once my session was over, I signed up for a membership.

Planet Fitness

The staff at this location are amazing! I appreciate the kindness and support from Nick, Benjamin, and Big Boots Ed! Axel is an encouraging and knowledgeable trainer. He was my first trainer at any gym. It would great if this location could fix their Smith machine racks and pull down machines. The music could be louder as well. Regardless, I’m still giving 5 stars due to the staff and the overall size of this location.

Planet Fitness in Addison is a great gym, with a wonderful staff. I have been working with Axel as a personal trainer and he is very knowledgeable and has improved my mobility and strength and I feel so much better because of him. He keeps me coming to the gym because I am motivated by his ability to feel better than I have been in a long time

The best over 50 exercise class around with a trainer. Axel, he is the best. he is informative. He knows what he’s doing and he keeps us in line.

I have been to many health fitness centers throughout my life,   but this PF location,  CLEANS all day!!!!! I never seen a center clean their facility in this manner. That is truly a PLUS in this current time in the world.  I will give kudos to the manager and staff.

It’s always lovely to come to this location of Planet Fitness. It’s very clean here and the music is always good. The workers are also really nice Eduardo and Ben. They are always nice and they treat their customers with care.

Great 1 on 1 stretch therapy, finished up my first session  and feel like a million bucks. Better than massage, IMHO.
Will be back. Brenda did an excellent job working on all the stiff muscles.

Love this place — everyone is so nice and professional. Pam at the front desk is super helpful. And my flexologist, Julia, is absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend!

Everyone is always so upbeat and healthy. I see Julia, who is fantastic! She listens to me about my physical issues and works around them, if needed or works with me to assist healing.

After a few visits, I really feel less tightness all over but really in my back and hips.  I have seen a few flexologists here, and all have been good, however Tim is the one I schedule the most.  He really works on my problem areas, and will make adjustments to your stretch as needed.  Great place and worth the money

StretchLab provides a great service to help folks properly and safely stretch and gain flexibility, getting the angles and pressure of stretches focused on the muscles in a way that can't be done solo. I see it as a valuable addition to an exercise and/or wellness program. Brian's definitely one of their best, but he still has slots available!

Maggie is the best!  She has definitely helped me with some lower back tightness, and I always feel great and so relaxed after a session.   She will target specific areas that are extra tight.  I’m starting to feel the difference in my flexibility and range of motion.  Thank you Maggie!

Be aware, when I signed up the manager who is no longer there said I was signing up for a 3 month membership. I have been billed up to $2,000 because they signed me up to subscription! This has been done to many people according to people who work there. It is dishonest and the owner has no integrity. They desperately must need the money. People that work there you should find another place to work.

Maggie is always so warm and helpful.  It is just an enjoyable experience, and she creates a space where I am comfotable.

Fit Body Boot Camp

I have been working out here for two months and can already see improvements and increased strength. The routines are challenging and always different. They push you beyond what you yourself would do. Love this place and highly recommend it!! I thought my 68 yr old self couldn't handle it, but I proved myself wrong!!  No matter what age, it's time to get fit!

I loved a lot about this program except the cancellation policy.
The price is a bit high but not so much for the instructor led classes.

I understand that cancellation policies for gym memberships are strict because it motivates people to work out, but the contract says you can't even cancel after the 16 week program is finished, unless you send a certified letter.
For me, that is a hard no.

Pros:
They have plenty of instructors, plenty of timeslots. They have nutrition help through their app, which has recipes.

Can't give the most accurate review but the staff seemed nice, price offered was standard for the services given, and the other members had a nice sense of comradery. I only attended one class though

Caring and dedicated staff. Coaches push and support us through the tough times, I'm new to exercise and I appreciate them and also my sore muscles!!! They're just waking up 😁
