Delta Yoga Collective is as real as any big city studio, with a heart wide-open as the Delta. Jackie and Beth get to know and care for their students, be they one-time visitors or long-time regulars. Personally, DYC gave me my first sense of  community when recently relocating to town. Through their classes I met many friends, and folks I run into commonly just walking around town or being out at night. DYC is a true community :-]

Thankful to have DYC serving my family and my town. Top notch practice in our small town that makes big city yoga studios seem sub-par. We love DYC!!!

I love all the different classes they offer! The pop-up’s, hot 26, Yin and of course, Sip and Stretch at Delta Dirt.
It’s obvious how much DYC wants to share yoga with everyone in the Delta by offering affordable classes for every level from Clarksdale to Helena!
I can’t say enough about Jackie and Beth as experienced, certified yoga instructors. I highly recommend you try a class!

100% worth your time! They accommodated our group of 10 and hosted us on the porch of the historic Edwardian Inn in Helena for a group of visiting educators. It was the highlight of the week for many :)

Anytime Fitness

The gym is nice and convenient, but watch out for hidden fees and incorrect information signing up. I signed up for a year and decided to not renew my membership. I didn't even cancel my membership, it simply expired after the 1 year contract ended.

I was told in person I wouldn't be charged after my year ended, but that was incorrect and now I'm being charged an additional month because I'm "canceling".

I was told I had to sign some paperwork in order to close myself out of the system if I wasn't going to renew, but I guess that was their way of having me sign a cancelation form and then sticking me with this cancelation fee.

So in reality it's a 12 month of use contract for 13 months of payment. Very disappointing business practice to experience.

Started going here in 2020 and it’s been my favorite gym in the area. Steady flow of people at anytime of the day, I never have to wait to long to use equipment and it’s always VERY clean. Recently started group classes as part of a 21 day challenge and I am loving it!!! Not to mention the entire staff is super friendly and do a great job of running the gym overall! :) 10/10

Started their 21 day fitness challenge this week and the staff have already made me feel like family! I look forward to coming there and meeting new people. Gym is clean and not too busy while I am there.

Clean, equipment is new. I appreciate the 24/7 access. I was in Dallas few weeks ago and was able to use my fob at the anytime fitness there.

Everyone of both the staff members and the other gym goers here have been nothing but supportive in my fitness journey.
It is a welcoming environment that doesn’t feel intimidating like other, more “cliquey” gyms feel.

The staff specifically have been encouraging, helpful, and kind.
Not the kind of helpful that is just part of the job description, but an actual personal conversation about your individual goals and accomplishments.

To touch on the few specific staff I have met so far,
Naomi- I recently started to go to her “Burn” class on Monday mornings, and boy does she tire you out. But that how you know it’s working. She also makes sure that you are pushed to your limit, so you get the lost out of the session

Tammy- She was amazing, also helping set up the “Burn” class and was very encouraging to help me step up my journey.

Mikayla- She was very knowledgeable about every situation/circumstance. Helped me put together a weekly routine and is encouraging every time I step in the gym during her work days. She also helped me square away any questions I had regarding nutrition.

Overall, amazing gym, clean and well maintained

StretchLab

Dawid always has a smile on his face and his kind personality is a perfect fit for interaction with people in this setting. He is attentive to the specific needs of the client.  His skill is excellent and I always feel far more relaxed when leaving a session of his.  You are a joy to be around. Keep up the good work!

I loved this. Went to check it out to help with restless legs and muscle pain. After 2 weeks, I was sleeping better. Staff was informative and super friendly! I would recommend trying this, like a different form of massage. A few weeks after not going, I realized I was actually sleeping better while I went here and needed to stretch. Will return when time permits

1st time visiting a stretch lab. Very well trained staff and clean facility.  Reasonable priced. Took time to answer questions and explain procedure.  Felt relaxed and refreshed after assisted  stretching. If I lived close, would absolutely get a membership.

I’m 68    I was hesitant   The first stretch was an  experience.  Me learning how to relax was the key to let Nick do what he was great at. The next two sessions got better and better as we communicated. I recommend this to anyone, enjoys activities at an older age, but doesn’t prepare properly.  This is a great step 123 etc. etc..

Just walked over for my intro stretch. Was AMAZING- I feel as though I could run a mile but also soooo loose! I feel more relaxed than I would with a massage. Deff getting a membership. Staff was welcoming and funny- great energy in there. I've literally called up three people to tell them about this spot just on my walk home.

LA Fitness

This is one of the better health clubs (LA fitnesses) that I frequent. Now it's generally a clean place, however due to the caliber and ethnic groups of people that are going there now, it's getting a little too dirty. Paper towels being left on the floor or on machines from individuals, and in the locker room. I do like it closer to the end of the week here because it's easier to get a good workout in!

My favorite gym !!! Of all the gym this for me is the neater or clean and more organized. Only the sauna would be missing for me to be happy 😃! However, it is my favorite because the facilities are new.

It has its pros and cons. The swimming pool is very nice. Equipment is well maintained. The basketball court is excellent. However, salespeople are very pushy and the clientele act as if they are allergic to wiping down equipment (even at the tail end of a pandemic) and have no issues hogging equipment for a half hour or more.
Not that it matters since the gym does not provide disinfectant anymore. Personally, access to a pool at a great price keeps me here. If a pool or price aren't factors, you could do better.

Well they called in the morning, and i tried to call them back then a girl answered me while am talking she hang up the phone on me she’s so rude and disrespectful !!
And i had to call her and do the same to her tbh I couldn’t resist because that was so rude of her!!

USA Martial Arts

BEWARE! Prices online are a SCAM. The class was good however AFTER signing up online, registering and receiving our uniforms and attending our first class, we were told the COST WAS DOUBLE what they advertised on the website. (We paid $170 he said it’s actually supposed to be $360! All other school in the area are about $120 btw). The owner and I had a phone call the next day which ended with him saying he’d try to figure out resolution and call me back (after I asked for my $170 back). That was 2 months ago….I called 2 more times and emailed as well, with no refund or resolution of any sort. I’ve contacted an attorney.

I joined Master Van Patten's USA Martial Arts academy in Antioch, IL about two years ago after taking a martial arts class at the Lindenhurst Park District with my 7 year old son.  The park district program was run by a karate school from Mount Prospect and was a simplistic punching and kicking school. The classes did nothing to inspire us mentally or spiritually and we both found the workout mild.
USA Martial Arts is dedicated to making me and my son not just a better skilled martial artist, but a better person. I have seen a great improvement in my son’s desire to do better in school and at home.  It is exciting to watch him develop and grow as a person and an athlete. Since joining USA Martial Arts I have lost 25 lbs and I have kept the weight off. I love the workouts.  I love the camaraderie with the other students.  And I love how USA Martial Arts combines modern training methods with tradition, old world, martial arts mind, body and soul training.

We have been members of USA Martial Arts for about 1 year and half and we use every opportunity to tell parents how wonderful the place and people are. We are a hispanic family and my husband is a disabled Veteran and we feel right at home with the instructors and other families. So much so that we are there 4-5x a week. I love to see how they are always making improvements as they take pride in their place and service. In addition, to the awesome classes, they do many extra events for the kids like parents night out (Ninja night).  It has been and continues to be an amazing experience for our two boys (11) & (8). They have and continue to learn more than how to do an awesome flying kick but also they are learning the black belt attitude which includes being disciplined, respectful, motivated, considerate of others, and still have fun. Perfect for our boys that we are raising to be positive members of their community. We drive past many other available martial arts places but we take the extra drive to go to USAMA.

My son attends USA Martial Arts, and has a wonderful experience!  A great friendly crowd, that helps to build remarkable life values.  Master Van Pattten goes above an beyond to provide a very welcoming environment for all.  Highly recommended!!

My kids and I love U.S.A Martial Arts, Instructor is always willing to help before and after your classes. Always ask about your well being and when we are loosing energy and focus he's always there to boost us up and get us on track again. Will continue to be a part of this place.

Elite Fitness And Gym

Shocked how great this gym is. I stopped in this week for a day pass (in town for family event). Loved the feel and the care that the owners put into the gym. Building is amazing, great equipment in great shape. If I was local, this would be my gym.

I went and trained here while visiting family in Oakbrook. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and at $12/day is a very cheap day pass. I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area looking for a place to drop in to for a workout.

This is hands down the best gym! The owners Megan & Mark are incredibly kind, genuine, and professional. They really run an amazing gym, it's super clean, everyone is so nice and the equipment is fantastic. It's really nice to support hard working business owners who care, highly recommend this neighborhood gym to anyone!

This is a terrific neighborhood gym with every conceivable machine and free weight apparatus. Owners Megan and Mark are friendly and the people working out are always very considerate.  Super clean!

I usually don't write reviews. BUT, I  am sold on the StretchLab in Orland Park and on the stretch practitioner, Christopher! He was patience and professional. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming with soothing music. It was the best 50 minutes wellness session every. I am already booked for my next session. I recommend this location and service to others.

I have been doing physical therapy for sciatica and they assigned me stretches to do. Having someone that was able to help me take those stretches deeper than I can on my own was so helpful. I walked out not feeling the discomfort I had going in. Additionally, Nicole was so good at finding my knotted muscle and working them out with a combination of stretches, massage gun and manual massages. I highly recommend Stretch Lab AND Nicole as an individual to provide this service!

I enjoy the atmosphere as my needs are met. My stretch practitioner Justin is patient, understanding, and professional. He explains the techniques before performing them, and he often checks for my well-being throughout the process. Over time, I have noticed significant results in my range of motion, flexibility, and, most notably, my vitality.

Great place, it helped my son in his senior year in high school for football and I was having back problems, Sciatica, hamstrings and I couldn't bowl. As of Oct 19, 2023 I'm doing much better. Back bowling 🎳 and this past Monday I bowled a 244, 298, & 247. Thanks again Ethan!! See 👀 you next week. You will love the atmosphere, good laid back music and they are very professional.👌

I’m a founding member of StretchLab in Orland Park and I absolutely love it! Saturdays are the best! The team (Ken, Nicole, Ethan and Anthony) are always so kind and welcoming. Anthony is my stretchologist and has helped my mobility so much. He’s very personable and also shows me stretches I can do at home until our next session. Morning stretches have really helped to set the tone for a great day ahead!

Anytime Fitness Westchester

Definitely one of the better Anytimes in the country (been to around 50 or so at this pt). Great layout, lots of space, good equipment, multiple squat racks, great kettle bell selection, multiple multi-use stations with cable bars, etc. One major issue is that there was no television on the treadmills or on the TVs. This is a huge draw for me personally to just watch football or some other mindless show while getting in steps. Hopefully they get something going there but otherwise a fantastic location!

Great gym so far . Only been a member for a couple weeks but so far so good. Gym always clean. Staff is beyond welcoming.

i love it! first gym i actual felt a non judgmental vibe and that’s so important to me! everyone is just kinda minding their business lol! staff is really nice and helpful :)

The gym is well equipped with machines and free weights you may need for any exercise! The staff is also very helpful and does a good job explaining everything when signing up. They are also very helpful when I had questions about how to use some of the equipment!

The trainers will give you their all and work their schedule around yours. I highly recommend this place you not only get physically fit, but you meet awesome people that all have similar goals yours.

Burn Boot Camp

I was very hesitant of joining Burn because of the intense workouts but I am so glad I did.  Even after having open heart surgery I am able to do these workouts because the trainers work with me and offer modifications when needed.   I love the people I have met here and everyone has made me feel so welcome.   They are very friendly and helpful.   They encourage me every step of the way and help me when needed.  I am so glad I joined and even my kids keep asking when they can go to child watch next to play with the other children!

I love Burn! I started in November of 2022, wanting something new as a challenge, after several years of weight lifting and prior experience in long distance running. It definitely was a challenge, and a wonderful one at that! I have found the most amazing, hard-working, uplifting, and motivated women in all stages of life. The environment has pushed me in a way that I was never able to do through personal-motivation. My athletic performance has improved immensely, and I can't wait to see what progress I can accomplish in the future. The trainers especially impress me everyday with their willingness to work as hard as they do.
I would recommend Burn to anyone.

Hands down, the best gym I've ever been a part of! I still remember my first camp over a year ago! Everyone said hi, and exchanged high fives. At first, it felt awkward, but now I know it's because I was used to gyms that were cliquey. At Burn, everyone treats you with respect and makes you feel like you fit right in. I've been to other gyms where the trainers rush you and don't educate you on proper form, which resulted in a lower back injury. At Burn, the trainers demo every move and look for quality over quantity. If I'm struggling, they are immediately at my side correcting my form.  The trainers push you and help you to see what you're truly capable of. I think they often believe in me, more than I believe in myself. The floating floor is also a huge bonus. So much easier on the joints. Between the community culture, the incredible trainers, and the many time options for camp, I can't imagine a better gym to be at! Try it. You won't regret it!

Group exercise makes it easy to follow along and stay motivated! But most importantly, it's an incredibly positive and encouraging culture, truly unlike any other gym. Trainers and staff know you by name and treat you like family from Day 1, and fellow members are always rooting for you to succeed. I started out wanting to try something new, and six years later, it's integral for my physical and mental health. Whether I'm in top form or working back from pregnancy or an injury, I actually love going to the gym!

I’ve been with Burn Boot Camp almost 3 years. This place not only transformed by body but my mental into a whole new state of mind.
All the trainers along with fellow burn members support you, positively push you, they make you feel seen. Important. Like an individual even in a group setting.
There are so many modifications to each workout everyday that whether you are a beginner or want a challenge they will work with you, show you different options and always hear you out.
I’ll admit money can be hard with inflation but even in moments where I’d get behind they worked with me to catch up. They care about you and you only.
Even outside of Burn classes in general I’ve made friends with so many strong and loving women who are great people with good hearts. Built some friendships in the mix of a gym.

I support Burn Wausau all the way. And would recommend it to anyone! If you feel like you just need a change or your mental health is taking a toll on you, come join us. 🖤
