Extra sauces on the side for sandwich but the register, well organized, face service and they'll will bring your order to you. Child friendly high chairs available, nice place to come and study. Sandwich taste.......   Clean, fresh, and wonderful crunch when you bite into it. Very eye appealing desserts and drinks. My favorite drink (honey milk tea) 😉

Trying new foods is always an intimidating thing to do. When I first came here I had ordered the Banh Mi special with the sweet and sour? Dipping sauce and it was absolutely amazing. Going back a second time around I got the SB1 skillet meal and my date had a new Pho that they had just introduced to the menu that day. Upon receiving my skillet meal I immediately knew it was going to be delicious, I just wasn’t sure how to go about eating it properly Ha! I didn’t know it at the time but it ended up being one of the owners that had come out to my table and actually sitting with me and showing me how to properly indulge into such a flavorful dinner. It made the experience great. Highly recommend

I’m not kidding, probably the best grilled pork Banh Mi I’ve ever had! Had plenty of meat, extremely fresh, and very filling. The service was excellent. Very polite. We had our food within 5 minutes. My wife and I also shared a pina colada slush, which was equally delicious. Really can’t say enough good things about this place. Will MOST CERTAINLY be back for more!

This place is an absolute gem! I was in Des Moines for a weekend and my airbnb was right by this place so when to check it out and I kept going back two days in a roll. I tried a couple of banh mi with cold cuts and the special skillet combo. Everything was delicious. The baguette was toasted, filled with stuffing balanced between different cold cuts and bbq pork and pickled veggie and cilantro. You can surely taste the creamy pate and butter on the top inner walls of the baguette. And they have a 5+1 deals which we took advantage of!!

But the real star that I highly recommend is the baguette combo skillet!! You don’t allow takeout for this one so you have to enjoy it in store. It’s exactly like what I’d have gotten in Vietnam. The sauce is sweet and addictive, steak was smoky, tender, and well seasoned. It’s like a deconstructed banh mi that you can put together yourself and enjoy a different combination with each bite. If you run out of bread, feel free to ask for more. I used the bread to clean any leftover sauce and topping!

Wow! Place is super clean and very inviting. The service was quick! They were super helpful in what to order.

The food and the milk teas were fantastic. Will definitely be back here again!

Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza

This review is not for the hardworking and friendly staff, it is in regards to business strategy.  I was their #1 customer ordering 50-70 pizzas throughout our relationship.  About a month ago, the phone lines were down 2-3 weeks.  Concerned, I contacted corporate and talked to owner.  I was worried the owner was unaware the phones were down, missing orders.  Talking to the owner while giving compliments to the staff, it was apparent they were attempting to shift to online orders by controling phone volume.  Great, no problem, but there is no comment section to request a freshly made pizza.  That is why I call.  Newer strategy on busy nights is to have pizzas premade with the sauce and cheese already added to sit.  They then just add the toppings upon order.  The quality greatly suffers, it is night and day difference between fresh and premade.  I quit ordering for a month.  Today I called, the lines were open! I ordered the online special 2 topping large for $10.99.  But when I went to pay, the price was $18, with a response the price is for online orders only.  I declined the freshly made pizza I requested via phone.  Order online, you may get a good deal, but if the dough, sauce, and cheese is already premade and sitting, buyer beware.  Thanks for the memories, to the super staff, time to select another vendor.  Quality over quantity.

Got 2 family pizzas the other day and cheese sticks. I cook them, when I went to cut it, there was a long hair in my pizza crust, baked into it. I called the company, told them about it and asked if they needed a picture. The manager told me no need for a picture, so I did not take a picture. Just tell them my name and a free pizza will be waiting for me. I went to get the pizza today and the manager then told me that I get no pizza as I am scamming him. I then proceeded to tell him that he said no pictures were needed and he told me he looked into it and no evidence of hair anywhere, of course not, it was in my pizza! Negative 1 out of ten. If I could get away with no stars I would. Definitely will not recommend or go back!! Very poor service and the manager leaves little to be desired.

Easily the best pizza in town, which really surprised me. I didn’t expect much from a take and bake business, but I decided to give it a try and it was excellent. I was able to get a vegan pizza packed with vegetables for a reasonable price — and I didn’t have the typical gut rot feeling after eating it. It’s definitely the “cleanest” tasting pizza I’ve had - not greasy at all, and the crust is light and crisp. Highly recommend it if you’re vegan/vegetarian and looking for a healthier - but still very tasty - pizza.

Pizza is amazing and highly flavorful for a chain, plus the take and bake nature allows for fsr more personalization which is awesome for someone who likes to cook like me. Only thing was the atmosphere while you wait was kinda quaint, but it's only for a few minutes while they make your pizza subway style, so oh well.

Wonderful service and food. I got a gyro and my boyfriend ordered two pitas (beef and a beef and potato). Everything was excellent. The pitas were large so we took one to go and ate it later. Small menu, but that's okay because what they do offer they do it well. Wasn't sure what to expect when we randomly stopped in, but so glad we did. Can't wait to tell my friends about this place!

We had Cevapi, Gulash and Mashed potatoes, Cheese pitta, and gyros. Everything was on point! Finally some authentic food that's tastes fantastic! Highly recommend and I guarantee you will love it!
Great customer service as well.

We ordered the Bosnian gyro, French fries, And a pita with beef & potato. It was Very yummy. One order for each of us still allowed us to take some home.

Walmart Supercenter

I recently went in for them to replace all four of my tires, we had some problems getting the appointment set in stone and that wasn’t anyone’s fault but technology, I finally get my car in and I wonder around the store as I’m waiting for my car to be done. After the service I check my receipt and they charged me for TWO warranty’s that were NEVER discussed with me (it literally says on the back of my receipt ‘our promise to you, we won’t over charge or do anything without talking to you about it first’ more or less) causing me to pay out an extra $100 and they didn’t even use the tires I bought offline so they almost charged me for another full set, will definitely be going elsewhere for car maintenance from now on

Always have what I need here. Today I came to find some Christmas presents for my son. And got everything I wanted and more.

This store has REALLY gone downhill.  It's difficult to find anyone to help.  At least until you go to the check out.  SELF-CHECKOUT! Because there is very rarely an actual employee working a checkout lane.  Instead,  they stand around the self-checkout area in groups of 4-6, playing on their phones.  On the rare occasion that they pay any attention to the customers,  its to stand over your shoulder as you do their job for them while they get paid for doing absolutely nothing!!!

This store deserves a 0 rating. They are severely understaffed. The cashier's are so slow it seems they are trying to get the shoppers to self check out so they won't have to do anything. There is practically no one on the floor to help customers, and if you are lucky enough to find someone they act they are too busy. Wal-Mart needs to shape up and serve the customer better

This is the best Wal-Mart that we have shopped. Today, there were SO many employees stocking shells, so many employees offering assistance, so many employees appearing to actually enjoy their jobs. This is the only Wal-Mart I ever want to shop.

The Green Olive

Me and my husband are from Seattle and Vegas and have been disappointed with a lot of the restaurants out here in the midwest, especially ethnic foods, but this place was a nice surprise! The food was flavorful and even spicy! My one critique was that the taste wasn’t as clean/fresh as traditional greek, but we also got a lot of food for our money, which we haven’t seen much since pre-covid so we didn’t mind one bit.

Delicious food and classy service. We are happy to have this Mediterranean restaurant in Des Moines. I will definitely visit it again with my family and friends.

Eleven of us were in town for a competition. I called and asked if there was space and she said she would make sure of it. We arrived and she was able to squeeze us all in and gave us the best service possible. We all ate a variety of dishes similar to the picture. Everything was excellent and we wished we had gone back as we drove by on our way to the airport. Everything was served with a smile and we never had to ask for service because she was on top of it. It’s in a shopping center so casual and nothing fancy. It was excellent! Usually chicken kabobs easily dry out. Not this one. Everything was flavorful and juicy. Thank you for hosting us!

Another Visit - another review:
Had the urge to eat Mediterranean food. We didn't have to think much as this restaurant was already proven. We drove around 15-20 miles to have lunch at this place.
We pretty much ordered the same menu items which we had previously. In addition, we also ordered Garlic French Fries and
Fresh Fruit Juice - Cantaloupe Juice.
The French Fries were freshly made and the presence of Garlic salt along with some added spice on top made it really tasty.
The Cantaloupe juice was extraordinary - fresh and without any soda. Truly mind-blowing.
Another 5-Star visit !

This review was pending from a long time. But, better late than never. This is from May-2023.
On our way back from the Airport, we were hungry and wanted to have some good food. Being vegetarians, I could not find too many options around.
Whenever we are very hungry, Mediterranean food is among the top options for us. I came across The Green Olive, looked up their menu, and thought that we can give this a try, and drove down to this restaurant.

The restaurant is simple and decent sized, not very huge, but good enough. Atmosphere and ambience is not among the greatest.
Parking is sufficient. Location is great.
Veronica helped us with our order and service. Nice and pleasant attitude, she even provided suggestions with the food considering our vegetarian limitations.

We ordered Falafel Platter, Vegetarian Platter, Veggie Skewers and Spicy Potato.
I also wanted to order some extra rice on the side, but Veronica was kind enough to advise us against ordering rice, as the rice is prepared from chicken base.
The food was ready and served to us in around 15 minutes.

Both the platters were amazingly delicious.
The Hummus (seasoned with Olive oil and spice), Baba Ghanoush, Dolmas, Tabbouli, Tzaziki, Tahini, Salad, Falafel - all tasted amazing. The sauces and dressing were great and in right proportion.
The Green Sauce (made of cilantro-jalapeño) was the best of all. Don't miss to try this. The Pita bread was hot, fresh, soft and fluffy. I ordered quite a few extra Pitas.

All the items were rich in flavor, taste, freshness and quality.
The Portion Size was very good and plentiful. The Spice level was as we had wanted.

They had different kinds of Juices, but we did not try any.

We've been to several other Mediterranean restaurants, and a few in DSM as well (including Gazali's - which sucked), and this one ranks up there among the best.
Not at all expensive, taste is amazing, service is quick and prompt.
I wish they had a branch somewhere in Waukee, WDM, Clive, or Urbandale.

Overall - Great Food, Great pricing, Great Service, Amazing staff, True value for money !

My first time getting food here. I am new to DesMoines. It was recommended to me. I did get carry out. It is quite pretty inside tho. I got greek salad. Oh my gosh! It was outstanding! The sauces/dressing was unbelievable and really made it sooo special. I was beyond impressed. The green sauce can be ordered with anything on the side. Please try it.  Below is a pic.

I came here thinking I’d get a late lunch but I was pleasantly surprised that they ha.  3pm! With that came bottomless mimosas at just $16.99!! The place has a very rustic ambiance and wasn’t too loud either. It has booths, high top tables and regular tables, so an option for everyone. The menu is vast and has a ton of vegetarian options, which was great. I ordered spicy potato bravas which were the right amount of spicy, right there in the middle. The quantity is not excessive and perfect for a 1 person appetizer. As an entree I ordered an asparagus and sweet corn grain bowl. Let me tell you, the presentation was exquisite. I chose the egg option and the eggs were perfectly poached and over easy. I loved my experience and the service is absolutely outstanding. At the last minute I decided to order a strawberry pot de creme to top off my meal, absolutely amazing!!

Very, very good pizza. If you get there after 3 p.m. the menu is much more interesting, but lunch is great. During happy hour pizza is half price. During dinner hours, they have a 3 "oven appetizers" thing for $16. How good can cooked carrots be? Pretty effing great actually. We usually split a 3 app thing & a pizza.

On our way through the town we stopped by this restaurant as it had good vegetarian options. While I wouldn’t call this restaurant Mediterranean, there were many options to choose from. We enjoyed Shrimp & Grits, Asparagus & Leek Grain Bowl, and a #2 Pizza. We were seated initially outside (plenty of seating) when the clouds opened up and rained down. We were welcomed inside with no problem and seated right away. I enjoyed the atmosphere and cozy, warm environment. Our waitress was excellent and attentive.

This place is amazing.  I agree that there are some mediteranian influences.  It is also an eclectic menu.  It was really good food.  The staff were friendly.  It is located in an area where you can easily access things to do afterward.  Grey's Lake hike, Caribou Coffee, down the road within walking distance, Des Moines Art Center, Salisbury House, all fairly close.  Photos are Butternut Squash Soup and Beet Salad.  It was very beautifully seasoned.  Soup had a nice paprika oil on top to give it extra smokiness.  It was still light, not too spicy but interesting, more complex.

First impression is that the front door host is not friendly. She did not say a word and walked away. Apparently, this means hello and welcome... follow me. In millennial speak.

Then the waiter was very friendly, but in deciding to sit at the bar, Emily asked, "What do you think of the broom closet?"  Well, it's all syrup. Cranberries and rosemary but none to be seen. When noting that the salad has goat cheese and walnuts... only arugula and a cheese cracker paste with a few lost blueberries arriving. When asking where the walnuts are? The server leaves without a word and comes back with more cheese paste in a bowl and once again leaves without a word.  Rude.

I won't be back for the cold service. Eating out is supposed to be an experience, not KFC.  The bartender Emily decided to turn away to have a conversation about the comments on the drink. The manager gave a dirty look.  None of which is acceptable from a fine dining establishment. They need a new cook, training, hostes replaced, and cook needs retrained. I can open a jar of olives and artichokes and microwave it and have the same experience. Or dump syrups into a glass.  Or be rude.  That's not an experience or a skill set that sets this bar above the competition. For which there is a lot of other competition.  And turning away to have a conversation about guests is also noticeable, audible, and rude.

Parlor

Enjoyed our first visit here. Cheese curds and onion rings were excellent. We were there for happy hour so we got the two slices for $4, which you can’t beat. Had the My Way, You’re So Vain, and Proud Mary. Mine (You’re So Vain) was a bit bland (I added Parmesan and salt). Macy was an excellent server.
Three of us with two appetizers and four adult beverages, ate for less than $50.

We returned for brunch a few days later. All three of us really enjoyed it. We ordered a Parlor breakfast (eggs cooked perfectly over-medium), a skillet, and half order of Buttermilk Biscuits with a side of sausage. The gravy was good but no sign of sausage in it. Maybe I was accidentally given hollandaise instead? It was tasty. The breakfast potatoes were heavenly!
I have to give a big shout out the manager Ben for great service. I hope this place will add some signage so people know they’re there and open.

Sat outside for brunch. There were plenty of food options but maybe not as varied as places that specifically focus on breakfast/brunch! My friends got scrambles and omelettes. I opted for the egg sandwich which was basically an eggs benedict without the hollandaise and the egg was cooked to your specifications. I had my eggs poached. I've just gotten back from New Mexico so I'm in a chile phase at the moment and was really excited about the green chile sauce on the sandwich. It did not disappoint! The flavors are amazing! The whole meal was delicious! Cocktails and all. The server was extremely attentive as well. This was my first visit here so I'm interested in coming back to try the pizza. Highly recommend!

As for food, they have a great selection of brunch items, lunch and dinner appetizers, Detroit style pizza with a great selection of toppings, drinks that are delicious and don't forget to leave room for some wonderful desserts.

Exactly what you’re hoping a new restaurant experience to be! Fun, yet classy vibe. Good music playing. Kind staff. Cool aesthetic. And the food, the food!

We ordered two pizza and did 1/2and 1/2 on each of them so we could try 4 pizzas we also did gluten free on one.

The gluten free crust was, in my opinion even bette than the original crust because it had a light texture still while still maintaining the crisp crust.

Will be back to try the apps and finish out the pizza choices!

Service was fast and friendly. I really loved the Sweet Jane pizza. Perfect combination of sweet and savory with the ricotta cheese and honey on it. Nashville chicken sliders were interesting. I’m not sure if I’d recommend them just because the bread was sweet, which I thought was an odd flavor combination. The Take 5 pizza was great. The beef bulgogi was very well made with nice accents from the carrots and green onions on it.

Southridge Mall

I mainly shop Target. They have some things no one else carries. The greeting card section is incredible! The children's section is huge. I enjoy home decor the most.

About be this location an A- because of their and so much was against them. Bank of America is a great add, from the west. Also l, the VA create themselves a spot using the back wall of the old Toys’R’Us.

Love what little of stores they have. My go-to place is Marshall's.

Not a mall anymore. Just a bunch of stores gathered in the same parking lot.  You have to go outside to get to a different one instead of being comfortable in a climate controlled building.

Palmyra Restuarant

I deliver Uber eats and this place always smelt so good when i would come in to pick up. So I figured i would try the goat and rice, since I have never had goat. It was absolutely amazing. The people there are so nice. It’s a must try.

I dont know if they behave to everybody like that and didnt like me because I am Turkish-American but for 23$ they gave me 0.18 Ibs mixed meat,I didnt understand if they tried to mock me or treats everybody like that. I took the picture very closely so it might lead you falsely.If you know size of regular plate,you will understand me. Restaurant was awful.

Very tasty. Combination Kebab was delicious. Tends to lean on the expensive side for what you get, not a great value.  The Boiled Kibbeh was an experience for adventurous eaters; a deep fried fritter with a cool meat center.  The person helping us asked us to point at a menu to order, and the ambience reflected in the photos of these reviews was sadly not present.
