Love Burn! The trainers, the people, the gym have been the best experience ive had with boot camp training ever!!

I absolutely LOVE burn bootcamp! I was so nervous to try it out as group workouts scare me a little. 🤪 I tried out the 7 day trial and instantly fell in love! I was greeted and felt as if I belonged the second I walked in! After the trial was up, I signed up for their longest package (18 months) because I knew this was a place I wanted to be.
All the women there to workout have all different goals but you don’t feel out of place at all. Each workout is explained perfectly, and if you need help, the trainers are very willing to help! They’re also always watching and will let you know when it’s time to up your weight!
They have incredible resources as well! One being their focus meetings. You sign up for a 15 meeting before or after your workout where you can set goals, talk about nutrition or have any questions you need answered. Second is their free child watch services! My daughter absolutely LOVES going “to the gym” where she gets to play while mommy works out! She runs in and doesn’t look back. The staff always remembers her and makes her feel welcome! I can’t tell you how many times Ive gone to workout not because I was feeling it, but I knew my daughter would be disappointed if we didn’t go. 😂

So long story short, if you’re looking for a gym where you will get a great workout, not feel out of place, and need childcare? YOU JUST FOUND IT! See you soon!

I love this place. Just started the beginning of January for the 6 week camp and I'm going to purchase a membership!! every day and week is different and keeps me motivated! Going to the gym has always been so hard for me because i get distracted so easily and then trying to work the machines is a whole different story but Burn has everything set UP And ready for you! you just show and they do the rest!

It was really hard cuz I didn't know it was leg day, but I had a great time. Anytime I started to struggle I got nothing but encouragement. If I wasn't able to do the exercise because of my knees the trainer found an exercise that was easier for me to do, but gives similar results! They have child care so I can take an afternoon class without having to find a sitter! 10/10 would recommend going! I'm definitely gonna keep going to finish my trial and talk about membership!!! My face looks like I'm in pain, but I was just catching my breath lol it was a great sweat! #DontForgetATowel

Pre covid I did a 6 week program at burn and lost just about 4 inches off my waist! I moved away but choose to make the 30 minute drive everyday and now for my up coming wedding I have had to get my dress altered three times because I keep losing snd toning so much. Love the environment and all of the staff!

Drybar - Prairie Village

Amazing experience every single time that I have visited the Drybar! The owner, Hannah, is almost always one of the first friendly faces that I see when I walk into the salon. All the staff have been personable and talented when styling my hair.
Great salon to use whether you are pampering yourself or trying to look stylish for a work event! 5 stars every single time, thrilled that you are finally in Kansas:)

I gave my sister a blowout for a Christmas present and this location absolutely delivered. Anna at the front desk and our stylists, Dani and Samantha, were fabulous. It was such a good experience that we want to go back next year and make it a tradition.

I got the cosmo and was with Mercedes and I cannot recommend this place enough. It was a busy Saturday due to Prom in the area but i was greeted right away, offered a beverage and was able to sit with my sister. Mercedes was really knowledgeable about the products and really listened when i told her about the details of the event I was going to. My curls (which usually fall within hours) stayed in place the entire night. Relaxing and fun experience. Check them out.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! These girls took such amazing care of me! I have been waiting for a Dry Bar to come to KC and it was worth the wait! I felt so relaxed and my hair has never felt better! This is the only place I will trust to do my hair for all events!

People need to chill with the reviews… it’s a gas station. Clerk is quiet but quick, gas pumps work but aren’t the fastest. Good selection of nicotine, fair selection of food and drinks. Not a bad gas station at all. I’ve never had a problem.

Overpriced gas, pumps are slow at pumping, credit card processing is very delayed. Save yourself time and drive on. Nothing worse than being overcharged because of it's location away from competition and then to have dated equipment that is slow.

The clerk today was yelling at another customer for using the only available restroom. I work in this area every day I will never go to that gas station again. Unprofessional!!! The man doesn't even say thank you, see you next time, anything when I buy something here. He seems miserable really....

They try to charge extra for weird/trivial reasons. For instance, if you want a pack of cigarettes theyll give you 2. One i get often is 'it doesnt cost 2/2.50' so right when i say nevermind, theyre neverminding themselves. Typical shady gas station shenanigans when they think we're not watching the prices. :/

The last convenient gas station within about a 2-3 mile radius of this area, I hope it stays around! I've used this gas station for over 20 years, and continue to do so when I visit this area of KC, now that I no longer live there. Staff have been friendly for decades.

Brain Balance of Overland Park

Brain Balance of Overland Park has changed our family dynamic significantly and our son is like a new child. Our son, who is 6 years is a very bright little guy but has had trouble with his social skills in school. Last year was his kindergarten year and prior to finding Brain Balance he was constantly getting into trouble for his listening skills, personal space issues and his high energy personality. Kindergarten was very rough for him and tough on the entire family because of all the negativity we were experiencing weekly from calls from the school and his behavior. Although he was excelling in his academics, the social aspect of school he was lagging behind in.

This past summer we decided to give Brain Balance a try. We couldn’t be happier….our bright little guy is finally excelling in all aspects of elementary school! During conferences, the staff at his school even suggested that he was very much like a role model in class! We haven’t received any phone calls from the school and we’re seeing at home that he is much more focused, calm and confident!

Brain Balance of OP has the best staff and trained individuals! The relationship they have built with our son is honestly priceless and he LOVES going for his sessions 3x per week!

Finally, I wouldn’t change a thing about our decision of spending the fees that are required as I would rather spend it now, than later on for his mental wellbeing. Absolutely no regrets here!

It's been a journey. And finding support from the staff is extremely comforting, and relieving. The staff is friendly, and they get back to you quickly with answers to your questions and concerns. Helping in the adaptability process, and making sure you know someone has your back.
Yes, there are days, and sometimes weeks that get hard, but your never alone. And they let you know what needs more work and what's working well.
The investment is well worth the time and effort put in not only by the staff and I as a parent, but also the time and effort my child has put out continuously. Seeing the small steps in the moment, and stepping back and looking at where we came in and seeing how far my child has come.
One decision I am grateful I had the opportunity to do with her.

I don't think I can overstate how Brain Balance has changed our lives for the better. We enrolled our 5-year-old son, who is on the Autism Spectrum and has an ADHD diagnosis, in the program during the spring of his Pre-K year. A brief trial with stimulant medication proved unsuccessful and my husband and I were open to other options to help him manage his symptoms. We were cautiously optimistic when we began the Brain Balance program. About a month-and-a-half to 2 months into the program, we began seeing marked improvements. His meltdowns significantly reduced and his sociability increased. His attention span increased. He was calmer and we could reason with him. It truly changed our day-to-day living experience.

When you read into the science behind Brain Balance, you begin to understand more of the mind-body connection. So many of the exercises our son practices are areas that are worked on in gross, occupational, and even fine motor therapies. Brain Balance brings all of these components together to help the child integrate brain stem responses, which breaks patterns of involuntary responses. It's a fascinating field and one that does not receive the research funding that it deserves. As a parent, I read what literature I found about Brain Balance and I read the reviews. Ultimately, it came down to this question: "What would my husband and I try to help our child become more successful, and comfortable, in this world?" And the short answer is: nearly anything. We took a leap of faith and committed to the program.

When you enroll your child in Brain Balance, it is a significant commitment. You will need to adjust your lives. Our son is almost finished with 10 months of the intensive 1st phase and on average, I spend a combined 8-9 hours a week taking my him to Brain Balance and doing the at-home exercises with him. I know, it sounds so overwhelming---but it's actually been a blessing. I'm now saving time because I'm not dealing with meltdowns and constant inattentive behavior. I'm no longer constantly worried that I'm going to receive a phone call from his school. Yes, our son still has hurdles to overcome; however, his progress has been astonishing. And doing the exercises with him has really bonded us. It will be a hard journey, but a worthy journey.

Staff at the Overland Park location are wonderful to work with and very communicative. They will help you every step of the way.

One final side note: the nutrition component to the program can sound intimidating. We did not follow it to the letter. I worked with his developmental doctor and we focused on these areas:

1. Incorporating a high-dose, high-quality fish oil into his diet. . Nordic Naturals is the brand I recommend.
2. Reducing his added sugar intake.
3. More whole foods, less processed. I also switched to gluten-free bread because my kids actually like the taste (not sure if it makes any difference).
4. Avoid red dye. Just google red dye and ADHD. It's difficult to cut it out for us completely (do we dye ALL our food?!), but I do my best.
5. I am starting a magnesium supplement for my children as well. They haven't been taking it long enough to report any difference, but again, I'm willing to try most anything. Look for Magnesium L-Threonate. As a general rule, you'll want to give any supplement at least two months before you decide whether or not to continue.

This place has been a game changer for my family. We were skeptical and hesitant to sacrifice the time and money to go through the process but it has been worth it. Our child has been able to do things she never could before and has continued to become more of who she is. We are so thankful for the work they do. It was wonderful to find natural-root-cause solutions to our child's needs.

The Brain Balance Team of Overall Park is a phenomenal group of people!  They show genuine care and compassion for the students.  They are willing to meet the unique needs of each child to ensure optimum success!  So happy to have started this journey and seen amazing progress for our child.

The Big Biscuit

Fantastic service, but to say the food was lacking in quality would be a understatement. I ordered the ranch hand and the “steak” was literally of worse quality than the steak that used to come on a McDonald’s bagel. It was also a small portion. First time here, very unimpressed won’t be back.

We had a group of 17 people and they accommodated us with no problems. The food was great and plentiful. Service was excellent and they even took our picture for us.

Loved it! I have never been before and went with my best friend for the very first time. The portions are huge, the service is fantastic (even for it being right at the peak brunch hour), and the atmosphere is cozy! Highly recommend.

The server was absolutely amazing! He was very nice and fast. The other server helping others was very nice as well. The food came out very quickly. I ordered the holly scram bowl. It is delicious everytime.

Breakfast with family.  Love the menu and the vibe in the Big Biscuit.  Had the cinnamon roll pancakes, with bacon, hash browns,  scrambled eggs,and wheat toast.  Mom had bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and wheat toast. Dad had the sausage, eggs, hash browns, and wheat toast.  My cuz had the fruit cup and a omelet.  Coffee all around.   Love the options and the friendly staff.

Bootcamp Fitness

One of the best decisions I ever made was joining Boot Camp Fitness KC over 7 years ago.  I enjoy the camaraderie of the class structure, the constant challenges in the workout routines and the focus on proper form and conditioning.  No matter what your fitness level, age or your goals, there is a starting place for you here.

The coaches are amazing, they truly care and push you to do your best.  Regardless of how tough the workout was, even if I did not do as well as I would have liked, I leave the class with a feeling of accomplishment.  Their coaching goes outside the gym as well, with seminars and communications on everything surrounding a healthy lifestyle.

BCF is more than a gym, it is a community of likeminded people that are fun, inspiring and intense.  I would not hesitate recommending Boot Camp Fitness.

I joined BCF about 4 months ago and I was sort of intimidated because I was out of shape and asthmatic. Coaches Marcus and Jacob made me feel very comfortable and before I knew it BFC became a part of my daily routine.

Everyone I met here, staff or member, is friendly and encouraging. I have worked with 5 different coaches so far and its easy working with them because they understand everyone is at a different level of fitness with different goals.

Its good to have a different workout everyday and the coaches explain and demo the entire routine before we start. The group size varies (1 to 10) but I have never felt like the coach wasn’t attentive towards my form or technique.

With all the help from people here, I have lost 11 pounds and I feel my muscles growing stronger, stamina increasing and my breathing better managed. Doing something good for your body is always better than doing nothing. So I may be slow but I’m definitely headed towards  my goal!

You will fall in love with bootcamp fitness KC! There are great coaches, they motivate and push you to do the very best. When I started I was a bit intimidated since I was completely out of shape. The fact that i was able to walk into a very welcoming group of people made my experience so much more worth it. If you have the slightest bit of interest the way I did, just do it ! You won’t regret it I promise.

I have looped in and out of those "big-box" gyms and paid for monthly contracts that I rarely used. This gym, their work-out structure, class environment and fantastic coaching staff make it incomparable to other fitness options.  It's not easy but it's not supposed to be.  Fun and very rewarding.  Morning and afternoon times to accommodate your Workout Of the Day.

I love BOOTCAMP FITNESS! The coaches truly care about the well-being of their clients. The team is knowledgeable, helpful and supportive.You'll find all fitness levels here, so don't let "BootCamp" scare you...this is the best gift you can give yourself.

The Learning Experience - Blue Valley

Our toddler is attending TLE Blue Valley and we can't say enough great things about the center, the staff, and the curriculum. It is a brand new facility, with experienced staff and administrators who also direct the Liberty center. They have welcomed us with enthusiasm and have given our child competent, safe care and education. She loves all the characters and talks about them at home, especially her favorite Bubbles the Elephant.

My son started here the day the doors opened at TLE Blue Valley. He started in the Twaddlers room and is now in the Preppers room. We have been so happy with how clean and well managed the facility is. The most important thing is of course the teachers. We have absolutely loved Isabella and Brittaney and couldn’t ask for better teachers for our son. It’s such a relief to know he is in good hands ❤️

This place is amazing. We have been there a short time but our daughter loves it. It is night and day difference from her previous daycare where she would come home crying every day. She is excited to go to school now. Staff is friendly and very communicative. Recommend to anyone.

My 2 (almost 3) year old son attends The Learning Experience- Liberty, which is run by the same owners, management team, and some of the same teachers as this location.  Since starting, his vocabulary has improved tremendously. He will not stop talking. ever. He wakes up everyday excited to go to school and is eager to see his friends and teachers! The structure TLE offers is great. It is made to be like a real school day so they are constantly busy doing various activities that my son is excited to tell me about at pick-up. TLE has a GREAT curriculum. Something I LOVE about TLE is the Philanthropy curriculum they teach. Of course we want our children to learn to read and write, but teaching them to be good humans and different ways to help their communities blew me away. My family highly recommends The Learning Experience!

My three year old daughter attends the liberty location. she wakes up everyday excited to go to school.  she has a blast with water play , and all the educational crafts they offer the kiddos to do. we couldn't ask for a better school for our child to attend.

StretchLab

Everyone there is very flexible with my work hours. Erin opening up on Sundays when no one else was scheduled really helpped me out to get ready for the work week

StretchLab has really helped increase my range of motion and decrease hip and knee pain. Additionally, they have great staff and are helpful in showing you stretches to do at home to continue your progress.

If you are looking for a place more interested in taking your money than working towards your wellness, this is for you. However, I recommend you avoid this establishment if you’re looking for honesty and support in managing illness.

I have been having lower back and hip pain for years. Consistent stretching with the help of the flexologist have helped so much!

I have more range of motion than I have had in years!

Carroll Parts

Carroll Parts helped me locate a replacement part for an obsolete out of production ceiling fan (of which I have 6 fans!) It appears I may have got the last available kit in the nation, which I am grateful to have found before they were gone. The salesman was courteous, very knowledgeable, and handled the process about as efficiently as one could expect (and in person.) Parts arrived in great shape after about a week and worked as expected. So, it was a great experience! I would not hesitate to order from them again.

The builder suggested Emerson fans. Beautiful, but my Hunter fans have lasted 30+ years, and two of my Emerson's have quit working or had problems after about ten years! I got out the manual and found a number; that's when I learned that Emerson is no longer in business, there is no longer any warranty, even if "lifetime" because there is no company. I was pleased to find out that the Carroll Co carried SOME Emerson parts. I have never had people so helpful. For the one fan, Noah told me how to test it to find out if the problem was the motor (which they could not have a replacement for that model) or another problem. For that one I had to get a new fan. For the second fan, the Italian, very expensive light cover that was held on to the fan with a screw on finial, was stripped and chipping glass. The fitter for that fan was no longer available, but Noah helped me pick out a fitter and glass cover that would work on this fan, and all went well. Noah even stayed on the phone with me to instruct me how to hook it up and assemble properly so all worked well. I truly have not had such great service in a very, very long time. I would give Noah 10 stars because he went above and beyond helping me. At one point, he had me take a pic with my phone and send to him, and he was able to see what I was doing wrong with the install of the new light fixture. I can't say enough about how helpful Noah was.

The sales associate was so kind and knowledgeable.  I needed a part for a fan that was 20 years old.  After asking a few questions he told me what part I needed. He said I could call back while my husband was installing it and he would talk him through it.  He was extremely helpful.

Order process was easy.  Had an issue with USPS Loosing then finding my part.  Company was helpful in getting an update from USPS for me.  Finally arrived yesterday - correct part.  All’s well!

All my experiences with Carroll Parts have been positive. I have used Carroll a few times now, and I can't say anything bad about them. When I order something from Carroll, I know that the part will be right and will get to my door quickly. I would definitely recommend Carroll for your parts!!
