Mobility City

I am wheelchair bound and own an EZ Lite Cruizer that I have used for 2.5 years.  I wanted a thorough check of the wheels and chassis as it had developed squeaks and creaks over the past few months.  The service technician (Jim, who was very friendly) came to my house and serviced the chair.  He removed all the wheels, checked the ball bearings, cleaned, and lubed as needed, as well as checking the forks on the front wheels.  He said the brakes and motors are working well. Checked all the bolts on the chassis and tightened as needed which removed the squeaks and creaks that developed. Had me drive it around a few minutes to check for tracking, etc. He said the chair was in good shape for 2.5 years of use.

I highly recommend Mobility City for service.

I was having trouble with my lift chair. Took it in and though I had not purchased my chair from them, they diagnosed my problem and fixed it while I waited saving me another trip. Great service and reasonable prices! Great people!

I was able to do everything over the phone.  Ordered my Golden chair & it was delivered within 7 days.  The guys that delivered it were very nice.  They also took my old chair with them.  A truly great experience!

I found Brad & his company when searching desperately for a lift chair, mine had broken & wasn't going to work anymore & really actually needed a bigger one. My legs won't assist me to get up from normal chairs, so I needed one quickly!! Brad very kindly talked me through things & even though was a situation that he would need to order quickly he never was too pushy like many others can be. He ordered it on Thursday afternoon & said it could take possibly a week but hoped not, & miraculously he called me Monday morning & said has my chair & will bring it over in a couple hours after he delivers one other one first!! Brad you were a miracle worker for me & will sing your praises to everybody I know!! Thank you so much again.

I recently rented a mobility scooter from Brad in Overland Park so I could attend the NFL Draft in KC.  Brad exceeded my expectations by recommending the perfect solution for my needs.  He was extremely professional and tolerant of my ignorance.

Ron was straightforward with me, didn’t try to hustle me to buy anything. He recommended that I start eating more in general before I start taking any protein supplements.

Dude with ponytail refused to sell me an energy drink because it would “hurt his average” poor customer service. If I could put zero stars I would. Get a better rep

I have been going here for years!  Ron always takes the time to explain the products to me and give me his recommendations. He has never steered me wrong!  I have gone to other GNCs closer to my home, but his customer service is top notch, so I will continue to see him.

6/10/2021 I called this location to verify they had a certain product. The associate was helpful and volunteered to put a couple away until I get off of work. I provided my name and telephone number. I arrived around 6:30pm and there was a sign stating they were closed due to a family emergency. I wouldn’t have been upset but my vehicle was being serviced and I had to catch an Uber that costed me $25. When I call to speak to someone about this I got the owner who accused me of lying because “someone closed setting the alarm” Now what he fails to realize is I called the store when I got back home 6:50ish close to 7pm and someone answered stating they came from the Shawnee Mission location due to the original associate’s wife was in a car accident. The arrogance of the owner is the reason I’ll NEVER do business again with any GNC!! He’s rude and doesn’t even know what’s going on in his own establishment. He’s a real CLOWN!

Had to deal with an INCREDIBLY rude and confrontational employee when trying to make a simple return. I bought the wrong flavor and never opened the product. I simply wanted to exchange for the right flavor and I did have my receipt from 1 day earlier. The employee (Sunday evening) said I HAD to provide my email address and ALL personal information. Not just show it for ID purposes but allow it to all be input into their system (unless he wanted it for some other purpose). I told him I didn’t want to give it just for an exchange and he became VERY rude and short with me. Even said “Jesus” in an exasperated tone. I assume he gets some kind of bonus for signing people up on an email list? Well it won’t be me since I sure as heck didn’t give him accurate info. I’ll be buying the products somewhere else.

The Big Biscuit

MYSELF AND A FRIEND DECIDED TO DINE HERE ON SEPTEMBER 30TH JUST TO TRY THEIR FOOD AND LETS JUST SAY IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS WE COULD HAVE MADE 😁 THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS WELCOMING THE BIG BISCUIT IS 5 STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!!!! AND THE FOOD WAS SOOOOO GOOD WE WENT BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY WITH SOME MORE FRIENDS!!!!! SOO IF YOU ARE EVER IN THIS AREA MAKE SURE YOU STOP BY AND TELL THEM JEREMY SENT YOU!!!😁

The best place for breakfast and value for your dollar.  Huge country breakfast and also great healthy items as well. I love everything I've tried there. One of my favorites is the bonut with strawberries and cream, and their cinnamon pancakes. They also have the best buttery biscuits and that gravy no wonder it's called the big biscuit!  Service is great!

Great food but waited at our table for almost 45 min before anyone served us...The lack of communication put a damper on the whole vibe ..

Very filling and delicious food. Lots to choose from on the menu, from eggs to pancakes this place has it figured out. Their potatoes were very nice, their "bonut" was very sweet and a nice tasty treat. The waiters were very quick and helpful. Overall the place was a 10/10 in my book. Would go again!

The BB delivers on its promise of big, flaky biscuits.  I got mine smothered in sausage gravy. Heavenly! The French Toast was hot,  soft and buttery.  The veggie omelet looked awesome-my friend got one. Tip: if you like Ham, order it as your meat- it's enormous!

Mr Gyro's Greek Food & Pastry

Excellent family restaurant, quality food, clean calm atmosphere, happy friendly staff, good price-point value for today's times.

It's rare in Overland Park to find a decent restaurant, but I am very satisfied with my psst three visits to Mr. Gryo's.

I wanted my sons to try Gyros for the first time and the owner gave them a “red carpet” treatment. My sons loved, enjoyed every bite. This place is so clean, the owner invited my son to a quick peek in the kitchen to see how the meet spins. The kitchen is so clean.

I am so glad I stopped here, on my new favorite restaurant list. The service was amazing!

The food is delicious and the people working here are friendly. The only complaint that I have is that the scent of Fabuloso cleaner is so strong that it makes eating in the dining room intolerable. It’s so strong!!

The gyro sandwich with side salad was amazing! Chicken plate is always excellent too! Baklava was a nice sweet treat to end the meal. When driving through the KC area we make it a point to stop for one of our favorites.

Quick, friendly service. The lentil soup was delicious. The hummus was the perfect texture and beautiful presentation. Warm pita with hummus a plus! I had the Greek Salmon dinner and was very impressed. A hint of sweet on the glaze of the salmon. Side dishes of rice and Greek salad were a perfect compliment to the salmon.
I will definitely come back to this establishment! 👏 Bravo!

Big O Tires

I had left an initial review back in December regarding an oil change. New store owner begged me to take it down. August 2022, I went in for an oil change. When I left, I noticed my car was leaking oil. I brought it back 3x to get it fixed. The final time, it was "fixed." December 2022, I took my car to the Big O in Blue Springs. When they went to change the oil, they noticed there was some kind of putty around the opening and wouldn't touch it. Took my care back to the 119th location. Initially the store owner said whatever work he did, I would have to pay for it. After that, I left my honest review. He called back, said he'd get it fixed, just bring it back but remove the review. Car seemed to be fine. Recently, took my car to get an oil change. Again, they wouldn't touch it because of the putty issue. I go to Big O tires in OVP, of course it's closed. I ended up taking it to a shop. They stripped the opening so I had to get the oil pan completely replaced. $100 oil changed turned into a $400 nightmare. I've since reached out to corporate so we will see how that turns out. If they do reopen, wouldn't recommend.

Had family traveling to Kansas City for the Labor Day weekend. Their car got a flat tire late on Sunday and it had a stripped lug nut. On Labor Day morning we began calling all the shops near the car's location, most were closed, at others the employees were moody and unhelpful. Called Big O Tires and was lucky enough to speak to Brandt, super friendly and helpful. He offered advice on which towing service to utilize. He gave the advice with no expectation of repayment. When the tow service arrived they were able to swap the flat to spare.  Obviously, for tire repair, the first call was to Big O Tires and Brandt, again received the same stellar treatment. They were able to get my family in and out within an hour.... ON A HOLIDAY!!! Brandt ensured my family's needs were met for a safe trip home.  Good job team at Big O Tires! This is top notch customer service!!   I had a slow leak in one of my tires (tires I did not buy from this company)  I stopped in to see if they could do a right now leak check. They not only got me in right away , when my tire was finished the guy hands me my keys and says all done , have a great day.   I'm like ummm I have not paid you for the service yet. He replied  nothing owed I dont believe in charging for a minor patch repair.  I said thank you,   blown away by the over the top kindness and service.  I did go buy them a dozen blue chip cookies and brought back to them.    Highly recommend  this place. I will definitely  buy my next tires at this store.

I returned to Big O Tires because they did work on my car last year. This time around I brought my car in for tires, oil change and alignment and they were top shape. I also brought my van because I thought I needed New Front Rotors and pads that I was just told by the dealer....that would've cost me 780.00. After the checkup with your technician, he honestly evaluated my back breaks which he said was new (CORRECT) and the front still measured at 5 which he assessed would need to be changed by next summer. He didn't charge me for this assessment. VERY HONEST, the dealer I went to, was out to make money or royalties from the break job. And the dealer was 300 more than what Big O's call in estimate given by Jordon......Thank you for your honesty and I truly say to you both, thank you for being true.

I've brought my vehicle to this location for a few years for simple oil changes, tire rotations, break pad repairs, and they've always offered fair prices and good service. Also - Joe that handles the front is super communicative, and always is forward about what needs to get done now, versus what you could go ahead and do for the future. They're lucky to have him.

Shell

This place is a dump.  How is it possible to have the pump display screen have the instructions backwards?  Then after trying two different pumps, they didn’t recognize my rewards.  No problem after I left and went to a different Shell.  The pumps are as dirty as a porta potty, to include the sidewalk, no pride in the business at all.  Spend $10 and get some Simple Green and a scrub brush, look at the other reviews because I’m not the only one who sees the filth of this place.

Stopped to get snacks, gas, and use the bathroom. After seeing the state of the bathroom, I just left. Graffiti everywhere, no soap, and the place was dirty. When I left the bathroom, people were yelling loudly as if we werent in a functioning business. Got gas and snacks elsewhere. Hope I didn't catch something from they're bathroom.

Won’t go back incredibly rude. Asked a question wouldn’t even speak to me ok a customer came on no proceeded to continue to ignore me. Ok fine I’ll take my money elsewhere. Women don’t wast your hard earned money to looked down on and engorged

This has to do with car wash ONLY!  Screen is fully functional, inserted money, proceeded in a instructed. ....said it was applying pre soak, then told me to exit. No wash no refund

The Honey Baked Ham Company

My wife and I love this place but today they closed at 4pm and we got there at 3:28pm the young lady told us that they turned the oven off 30 minutes before closing. It was a very big inconvenience. We were the only customers there and there is no sign to indicate they turned their ovens off 30 min prior.  The drink nozzles also were not on 30 min prior to closing.

Ham was good on my sandwich, but I felt the prices for a sandwich and meal were expensive for what you got.

Opened door coming in and out made to feel welcome awesome expercience!

Granted the two times I was in there most recently was right before Thanksgiving and then again before Christmas. I ordered online ahead of time and the staff moved me through very quickly during these very busy periods and every time they had a smile on their face. Not so easy when it gets that busy but they were great. That and the food is always exceptional!

The 3lb boneless turkey tasted just like ham. I didn't order ham.

The Home Depot

Second favorite store if you can't find it at the Depot there's something wrong with you. You might have to rig something up but you'll get her done. No seriously great buys I'm a painter so I save on their Pro extra account and they have a great team.

Curbside pick up at this location is not great. You pull in to your spot, enter the number for check in and 20 minutes later you are still waiting. Walk inside to get it yourself and workers are just standing around doing nothing, socializing, petting dogs, etc. Very poor customer service. If the order us ready it should be brought to us pretty shortly after we check in on the app. Do better!

Very terrible customer service, does not have a have any clue about meeting business proposition. I was quoted for a flooring project, I paid the full amount and the quote clearly stated including delivery of material. After three weeks of calling and begging the store finally delivered the grout but not the tiles! When I called in they stated , well sorry the driver forgot to pick up the tiles and you have to pick it up yourself; i requested to speak to a manager and the assistant manager “Eric” responded saying “I will get back with you”, never called or responded. I went to the store and requested to meet with Eric. The front of the store assistant called the manger office and the store manager “Ryan” responded and then after sent 3 different associates to speak to me instead and all three said both Ryan the manager and Erik the assistant are on break! LOL. The manager is afraid to address the customers and resorts to sending his associates 😂🤣🤣 such a “manager” and the funny part is all three associates had a different story to tell. I ended up taking the material myself and ate the scam.

Came in with a 1.5 year old Ryobi 2300 PSI pressure washer that I had been having issues with. Dept Manager, Brian made an even swap, no questions asked. Appreciate them standing behind their product and one of the many reasons we shop there.

Gravity

New fav brunch place! Everyone that works here is friendly and wants to make sure you have the best experience here possible. Wanted bottomless mimosas and was able to have cranberry, pineapple and orange juice options!

Their goat cheese omelette was great! The goat cheese mixed with onions and egg made the whole dish savory.

My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy, he told me he could tell everything was made from scratch, which was a nice change!

We dined in for dinner and the food was quite poor. We had find our waitress somewhere in the restaurant so we could ask for salt and pepper. There was very little seasoning on all our dishes (steak, halibut, mac and cheese). Kraft Mac and cheese would be better than theirs. There was little to no sauce, barely cheese, more milky if anything and we had to dump so much salt and pepper on it.

AMAZING!! Their brunch experience is not only fun, but delicious!  A two-course collection of fresh bites all for $20? And endless Mimosas too?! Absolute steal. Homemade focaccia, candied bacon, seasonal quiches, fresh donut holes & more!

This place is never busy and needs more attention! Jose makes great drinks at the bar, and the food and atmosphere is always incredible. Help me spread the word and support local.

A great addition to the shops of Prairie village. Easy to find at the southwest corner of the shopping center right off 71st street. Plenty of parking. I was seated immediately upon arrival at a nice table by a window overlooking the large parking lot. Lauren , my waiter was fast and efficient. Everyone was quite welcoming and friendly. My meal was excellent.  I began with a large Greek salad that was pretty filling. It is restaurant week so I stuck with the price fix menu since I came for the ribeye and it is not a regular menu item. Although a generous portion, the steak was cut pretty thin and slightly well done for my liking. The flavor was good and still juicy , so no complaints here. If I had known the lunch steak was going to be so thin I would have ordered it rare. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant, the food ,the atmosphere, and especially the fast and friendly service. The price was high for lunch but worth it.

Atmosphere was great! Food was pretty good. Service was lousy. Ate our mains with an appetizer dish in the middle of the table because it was never cleared away. No one came by to refill water, beers, or margaritas. Had to go up to the bar to ask for the check. They missed out on making more money and we missed out on good service. I don’t think the atmosphere is enough to make us want to come back.
