Awesome store. They sell about everything for the great outdoors you can imagine. It’s a massive warehouse and they have a lot of good clearance racks. For anyone looking to add to their outdoors gear this place is certainly one to stop by. You can tell they are starting to get their inventory in for winter sports which is exciting! (My pictures don’t even cover a quarter of the store)

Words cannot describe this place. It’s the one stop shop for any outdoor enthusiast. The staff here is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. After you’re done shopping, sit by the river or walk to the local restaurants or shops to enjoy.

Even if you’re just in the area, this REI has it all. A Starbucks and a play area?? Count me in! The employees are always friendly and extremely helpful—even when we come just to play and hang out and not make a purchase. It feels very much so like a place for community, and I love that intentionality. It is also well staffed so you’re never wandering the three floors looking for help. I would recommend and encourage anyone in the area to give this REI a visit!

The store is huge, and it offers a variety of quality items, sometimes at reduced prices. The 1.5 hrs free parking was gone in an eye blink. I went there looking for a specific item and was able to find it. Some of the staff is helpful while some really is not, and I found the lady at the cash to be somewhat rude or presumptuous, which is less appealing for this highly regarded store.

This location is massive. The store is REI so you know what you are getting with purchases but the building is very unique. For how big the store is there isn’t anymore merchandise than a regular location. It is worth taking a look at if you are in need of their products.

DICK'S Sporting Goods

Not often you get to give an outstanding review to a ‘big’ company.  But today, I’m giving all 5 stars to BRANDON at the Colorado Mills store.  This super nice young man gave outstanding (and super patient!) customer service.  Bravo!!

I am a long time customer but my recent pickup experience at this location prompted me to leave a review. I placed an online order and when I started driving to the store I realized it was going to close a few minutes before my arrival. I called the store and thankfully didn’t have to talk to anyone in Mumbai before being connected. Damian answered and said if got there by 1915 he’d try and accommodate me. I called again when I arrived and he followed through, bringing out my online order 15 min after the store closed. I really appreciated this, in addition to his super friendly helpful attitude.

Ordered shoes online then went to pick them up. (Always check the shoes before you take them) so I check the shoes and they have scuff marks and dirt stains from handling, so I ask one of the staff if I can get a discount because the shoes were not clean and so then I was greeted by 4 different people whom worked there to see what I was talking about and so after they were hesitant to discount the shoes the female said she could do 20 percent off and the other guy was hesitant about it so then proceeded to tell me that their shoes they receive are mostly garbage and said the stitching and glue is always a issue.. so I make my way to the counter to get the refund of 20 percent back from what I paid and all of the sudden instead of that they lied and said that the sale wasn’t confirmed by whoever confirms the sale (which it was because the money had already been taken out of my account) and they just gave me a refund of what I paid when I didn’t ask for one.. they would rather give you back your money than lose 20 % and resell stained shoes to make a profit and then lie about it.. they never asked if I’d like a refund they just gave me my money back and I never asked for a refund. They definitely lost a customer. Buyer beware and check your merchandise before leaving the store. This was the location at the Colorado mills mall

If the name of your store has "Sporting Goods" in it it should have a good selection of sporting equipment. This Dick's is a big disappointment. They have clothing...but that's about it. SAD selection of camping, sporting, and hunting equipment. Definitely not going here again.

This is the worst REI location I have been to. There is always a long line at check out, to the point I have put back items because it was not worth waiting in line. But my biggest compliant is the returns department. I tried to return an item that was supposed to be waterproof. A month into ownership it was starting to wear more quickly than expected but I figured it wasn't bad enough to return. 7 months after purchase I finally decided to return them as it was no longer waterproof and useless to me. REI declined the return saying it was too worn out. I rarely used this item and wanted to return it because it was wearing out much faster than expected and not worth the $200 I paid. Not accepting a return after 7 months devalues everything in the store. I wouldn't have paid $200 if I knew I could return it if it broke within the year return policy. If anything this is a manufacture defect since it is no longer waterproof and should be able to be returned at anytime. I am strongly reconsidering all REI purchases after this encounter.

REI - if you read this please explain why a leaking waterproof item 7 months after new is non-returnable for REI members. Thank you.

No idea who is running this company but every year the shopping is experience gets worse, and every year I spend less money. Not long ago you could walk into any store, find multiple options, and friendly helpful passionate people available to make you feel good about spending money.  Not any more.  Far less brand options, but worse is less made in USA stocked than ever before.  Products you expect to be in stock frequently out of stock.  Saddest of all is how stores no longer have the employees to help you.  I was happy to pay more for the in-store shopping experience with experts who have used the gear and experts who have passion.  The employees no longer care.  I just expressed my concerns respectfully in the store and the clerk told me to tell someone else who cares.  REI you are sad and pathetic now.

Went to the sleeping bag section and asked to try some out and the employee helping me could not have sounded more annoyed to have to do his job & pull them down (as if he was doing anything else besides sitting on his phone). I asked what the lightest of the 0 degree bags were and he said “haha a lightweight 0 degree bag doesn’t exist”….ok, not what I asked. Then he said “do you REALLY need a 0 degree? Most people just think they’ll get really cold so they go for the 0 degree bag and regret it”. So I explained how I’m going to be climbing Mount rainier in May (this was back in March) and need something to keep me warm in unpredictable weather. This idiot tried to sell me a 30 degree summer bag. I’m really glad I didn’t listen to him and settled on a 15 degree bag. Base camp at 10,000 feet was sitting right at 10 degrees at night and I was just warm enough, the summit was 8 during the day. Just goes to show that REI will hire any arrogant idiot in Boulder who claims they know about outdoor gear. Do not listen to these people or ask them questions, they don’t know anything and will get super upset if they have to do their job & help people.

PS anybody wanting to get ski/bike work done come to rebel sports in frisco we will never make you wait in long lines or over charge you & we do an excellent job every time and will fix it no cost if not.

Shoe department service was really abysmal.  I explained in detail what I wanted, and store personnel  had absolutely no information about the differences between shoe brands or models.  It was like I was dealing with an employee who started yesterday with no training.  Shoes are a specialty and I would think that a supposedly premium dealer, like REI, would have more knowledgeable people on staff.

I've enjoyed shopping in the Boulder REI store many a time over the years.  I always seem to find what I need, or stuff that I don't really need, but want to buy regardless.  I haven't needed expert help, so I can't really speak to that aspect of the shopping experience.  I would say that I was a bit surprised that the bike section didn't have a larger selection of bike relate stuff.  This is Boulder, Colorado after all, one the the cycling Meccas of the U.S.  I also was a bit surprised that the climbing department didn't have a bit more equipment selection on hand.....as rock climbing is the other thing that Boulder is known for.

I bought ten golf bags for clubs at this store and received excellent customer service. Even though my purchase may have seemed a bit unusual, the staff remained helpful and attentive. I appreciate their assistance and would like to thank them for their excellent service.

It was a busy Saturday...However,  Brian from the Richfield, Mn. store was great! He showed us all the different treadmills in stock and was very knowledgeable about each one...

This was one of the worst retail experiences I've had. I was shopping for fishing gear. 75% of the items are not marked. I was there for an hour and was only asked if I needed help when I was on my way out. I understand why places don't mark items with prices, but if you don't have the staff, they need to provide places for customers to scan items to check on prices. Even if there was an employee, do I really want them scanning every random lure I'm curious about?  Not really.

I ended up using my phone to look up the prices in items, which ended up being a good thing. I scanned the part number and found it from another retailer for 60%. I'll be going there to buy the rod and reel.

Place was full of suburban moms outfitting their kids in overpriced jackets. Staff were not helpful beyond pointing me in the general direction of Carhartt products. Did not have the work wear, only the trendy stuff.

We had good help getting shoes to try on.  Check out cashier was very friendly  and helpful.

I have been a long standing and supportive customer of REI for more than 20 years. My husband worked for them for many years, and they have been a foundation in my outdoor adventures. REI was the only place my husband and I registered for our wedding. I am sad to be writing this review.

Today when I stopped by to return a snowboarding jacket the interaction with the cashier was less than pleasant. John, was initially friendly until I mentioned that I would like to return the item and then he became much less friendly. His tone was demeaning. He reminded me several times that my return “could appear to some” as “taking advantage of the return policy”. Please note: this jacket had only been worn a few times and still had the tags.  I informed him my husband and I have been members for a long time and understood the old and new policy regarding returns and my return was within my rights.  He continues to make statements that felt pointed and left me feeling uncomfortable. I had to intentionally maintain calm but inside felt angry by the way he was treating me.

I am saddened by this experience. I have not and do not take “advantage” of their return policy and understand that they have a more relaxed policy than most. One of the many reasons I love REI!

I will consider other outdoor retailers in Bozeman before shopping at this store in the future. Regardless of policy the way I was spoken to was unacceptable.

Kyle , Alice  and piper were amazing. They Helped me take care of a cargo box issue i was having and were all so friendly while doing so. Ive never been much of an rei kinda person but today’s service definitely changed that for me. 11/10

Signed up for the REI card because it sounded like it had a lot of benefits for loyal customers. I had already waited in line and didn’t want to run back to grab something out of the yard sale area because I was in a rush. When I left the store I called and asked an associate if you could put yard sale items on hold. She assured me yes, for 48 hours. I do not have a vehicle and worked very hard to get back to the store less than 24 hours later only for who I presume was the manager to tell me that was not protocol and she already spoken with the associate and the item had been put back on the shelf. Of course, it was gone. I told them I was very frustrated that they did not call me to let me know. The manager could have easily called or just let protocol slip the one time instead of me wasting my time, borrowing a friends car, driving there to be told “yeah we don’t have that.” Not even a sorry. Regretting signing up for the REI card now. Seems like a waste of $30. Don’t know if I’ll return. Maybe I’ll just stick to shopping online.

I gave it 1 star because there wasn't an option to give no stars. We walked in a half an hour before they closed and we're confronted by a young kid who probably was the dishwasher that proclaimed that they "like to get home too" so they stop taking customers at 9:30.

Did a big online purchase for my Father’s Day gift.  Notified my order was ready within 10 minutes.  Team members were very helpful and kind helping me load my car.  Management was very helpful as well to solve a small problem with my order.  The problem was solved with such clarity and expeditiously that it doesn’t deserve mentioning in this review.  This place takes care of people in uniform also.  I appreciate that…very much.  This particular location is a well oiled machine.  Great job to Management overseeing the daily operations and employee/customer interactions.  My experience here was outstanding. Thank you!

This location goes above and beyond! Had an issue where a corporate phone representative was telling me one thing that sort of seemed too good to be true, then I went to Patton Creek location just to be shot down and offered no help. Was told by a customer there to come to this location, and they helped me explore options and get my situation corrected. I am now extremely happy to have a replacement for a product that broke under parameters of normal use! Had a great interaction with everyone in the store.

Immediately greeted by an employee when walking in, they didn’t ask if I needed anything but I asked for the direction of what I was looking for. Once I got to the department I was seeking I spoke with Harrison who helped me find the product I was looking for while giving me the rundown on my options. I didn’t feel pressure to buy the nicer or more expensive options and went with what I felt like was the best decision based on his recommendations. I was happy with my purchase and satisfied that I could get in and out with what I wanted in a timely manner because I had proper assistance. Will have to return for other items needed in the future!

It’s been a while since I’ve been to this store but it’s exactly as I remember it. The selection is extraordinary and the service is equally impressive. I can be in the store for hours but unfortunately I was in a bit of a hurry. I was able to score a great deal on some hiking boots and wool socks. D’Andre in the shoe department went above and beyond to make sure we walked out with a smile, and we did. Thanks for the great service and taking the time to explain in detail all of our options. Even gave us a little lesson on how to tie a runners knot! Will definitely be back again.

Been a REI co-op member for a lot of years. I just wanted to say that today I was SO glad I went to the store! I got an exceptional deal on a hydroflask but didn't want to pay to have it shipped to my home. I went in here and Robert helped me and his service was great. He gave me recommendations on things, made me feel at home in the store, and just made my experience today. I'll be back soon!

Cashier gave me a hard time about returning a brand new unused item I picked up in store that day so I could then buy said item back using my 20% off one full price item member benefit. He felt the need to “educate” me by explaining this was like buying a meal at Burger King, eating it, and then going back up to the register to ask for a discount. Seems to me this employee needs to be “educated” on REI’s return policy.

The employees at REI are outstanding. I want to be clear....My frustrations with REI, is they are always out of stock of neon lanterns that i am interested in. #2 i bought 2 flashlights, both never even stood a charge. So i buy 2 phone banks..Both had to be returned. So i did some digging, and it seems that these products are from a country, that the USA has made sure they got as big as they are and World War 3 is close. China. CHEAP PRODUCTS. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP PRODUCTS. SUPPORT US MANUFACTURING.  I DONT KNOW ONE PRODUCT THEY EVER MADE THAT WAS ANY GOOD? SO I HAVE TO QUESTION THE WISDOM WITH SENIOR MANAGEMENT..

Managers on duty were Kim and Tony. The cashier needed a managers numbers to complete my transaction, so he promptly called for a manager. However they never came. Tony was right there but ignored the cashier when he tried to call him over. I let the cashier check out other athletes while I waited. 5 check outs later and still no manager came to help this cashier. Slow and wasted time. Cashier- Jonathan was great, he did what he was supposed to but managers did not do their part.

Our 1st time at MOG store, WOW it's really nice. The employees when asked for assistance was pleasant & helpful w/o any hesitation being 15min b4 closing. Plus it supplies EVERYTHING, we will be returning🫡

The assistant manager Tony is amazing.  He helped me with a price match on a baseball bat for my 5 year old son. Told him  His first game is tomorrow, so he took the time to call other stores to see if they had the bat I needed in stock.  Unfortunately they didn’t but he set up express shipping for me.  He was kind, helpful and very professional.  This was Labor Day and they were busy and he still took the time to make sure my 5 year old was happy.  Thank you.

Do not go to this store Golf department!  The old man who seems like manager of the Golf department is very rude and unprofessional.  I changed my Driver  grip that has hand position on it. A nd unfortunately,   it was not right position.  However he said that it was perfect to him even though I said that was not, and it is My Driver.  I will never be there and I don't want to see him again.

Giving 5 stars because Miles in the shoe department is an angel. He helped me with everything I needed even when I tried on 7 pairs of cleats just to find my size, he was still so patient and kind. While helping me, he was kindly multitasking to make sure everyone was being helped (truly the Chick-fil-A of sporting stores). He was also very knowledgeable about running shoes and when I decide to pull the trigger on a new pair I will only do so if Miles is working that day! I mean I could truly go on about how great his customer service was. Somebody please give this man a raise!!

Vista Pawn

For selling your stuff never go to this pawnshop biggest rip off I’ve seen out of all the pawnshops that I go to in Boise brought thousand dollars in Milwaukee Maine brand tools brand new. They  offered 150 bucks. if you’re going to buy stuff maybe check it out but don’t trust this these guys have the most respect for most pawn shops here in Idaho, but this is by far the worst one

Had a great experience today at Vista pawn. Ian and Danny were both very helpful in finding us the specific digital camera we had spent our morning (going to multiple pawn shops) looking for.  Will make sure this is the first stop when looking for a deal and kind, knowledgeable staff

This was once a good review. Sorry to say this place has declined. The last 4 times I been in here couldn't get help to view an item or even buy what I was there for. Prices seem to be so near retail you can probably do better elsewhere.  Once the best in the valley now better off passing by.

Carl's Cycle Sales

Chose Carls because of the large selection of inventory. I bought a 2023 RZR Turbo R. Addison was my salesman and he made it a fun experience. Everything was easy. I got an excellent trade in value for my motorcycle. Was not expecting that. Overall I'm very happy with my experience with Carl's. I feel like they went above and beyond to get me what I wanted and needed.

I am a Washington resident and have never bought nor even thought about purchasing a new motorcycle from an out of state dealer; but Carl's had the model I was looking for that I was unable to find anywhere in WA. After speaking to a pleasant salesman, Russ via phone, we agreed on a very fair price, so I decided to make the drive to purchase the bike. With storms looming making the late fall drive a bit treacherous, Russ gave me continued status updates on the bike's assembly and updates on the weather in Boise to help me find a safe time to make the 8.5 hour trip.  I eventually got to Boise and Russ was fantastic, making the sale a breeze.  He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited for me, spent a good amount of time showing me the best way to load the bike and tied it down securely for the long journey home.  After getting back to Washington and attempting to license the bike I realized I needed an additional piece of paperwork from the dealership.  Russ tracked it down and made sure it got sent to me in a timely manner, again updating me each step of the way. I've bought many motorcycles and vehicles in my 53 years, and Russ was hands down the best salesman I have ever dealt with.  Look him up if you are buying from Carl's, I'm glad I did.

Sam in sales was amazing to deal with! Got me a great price on a new dirt bike for my son's birthday. He even helped load the bike in back of the truck. Everyone there, from the sales crew, the parts staff to the service department, I know I can trust them with their expertise every time I go in. Keep up the good work!!!

Dane at Carls Cycle is awesome! I called told him what I was looking for gave me an amazing price and drove 5 hours to pick the machine up. He even had it in stock! He made the buying experience fun and easy. Very knowledgeable and the staff was also great. They have an incredible amount of inventory! Be sure to contact Dane he will greet you with a smile and a handshake!

Bought a KTM Duke 390 from here. Addison Barnes was the rep that helped me out. He was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. This was the easiest experience I’ve ever had buying/financing. Most done over the phone. The gentleman in finance was incredible and very helpful also. Great place to shop. Ask for Addison if you are serious about buying and he will definitely get you squared away in record speeds. Thanks guys!
