I don't know why Google maps is showing a Marathon mini mart at this shell station. They are two different companies. We need a negative rating for this place anyway. There should be a law that people who work with the public should know and speak English. I tried to tell the cashier that he shouldn't be wearing the WWII Veteran hat because he never served. He just pointed to the hat rack. Which got me to thinking that he must wear it all day and then put it back on the rack for some sucker to buy.

PSA DONT BY ANY OF THEIR HATS!

Don't be their sucker. My advice is don't buy anything from them. Make them sell the station back to the Marathon company.

1) The attendant believes your are doing him a favor buying gas there.
2) I had gas stolen from me from a guy from another state. I called they police. He made things right. The next time I went to buy gas, the attendant got angry and called me a thief. I told him I will be contacting the corporate office. They are defending him and being very difficulty and lax in their response to this problem.
I have sent all the information and a picture of the guys license page to the the State Police from the other state.
3) I will not go back and am encouraging you to do the same. In fact do not go to any Shell gas station. Let the manager of any Shell station why you are not patronizing their business. Send complaints to the corporate office as well.

On the surface looks like a decent place with friendly people, in practice it still looks like a decent place but the staff just seems like they have better things to do than to be here. I understand there are many customers that come in and are rude but not everyone's like that and it is easier to share a smile with someone then to automatically hate someone. I hope his day gets better and that he becomes a nicer individual

Poor costumer service worker was rude and wouldn’t give a name or corporate number I was charged $175 I lost fuel points from JC/Kroger card horrible gas station would not go again or recommend to anyone

I came here to use their fuel app, I had two cards credit cards entered into it, neither would process, so I used a card at the pump. It charged my account and extra $50 than the actual fuel dispensed. Seems scammy. I disputed the charges, they said they could t do anything about it. Avoid this place and Shell fuel rewards app.

Attendant rude rather be on his phone than service customers. Has no business dealing with people if you can’t give them the time of day. Why would you have a business franchise but can’t handle problems associated with the corporation. Won’t be using that station again and recommend people find a better one with better ownership and service

The guy working on July 19th, 2023 at 5:07pm is completely rude and rolled his eyes at me because I said I wasn’t going to get the monster that rang up as 4.84. I’m always nice bc I never know what someone is going through. I’m headed back to Indy after saying goodbye to my grandpa in KY in the hospital for the last time. Im going THROUGH it right now and That was completely unnecessary. I’m sitting in the parking lot bawling my eyes, when all you had to do was your job and just be nice.

The employee that I couldn't catch his name because he wouldn't show me his name tag was more than disrespectful and rude all because I asked what number a lottery ticket was on he said I'm not standing here reading off all the numbers for you so if you don't mind dealing with hillbilly trash this is your stop lol

I live in this town and after Saturday your attendant the guy that drives the mustang I will not frequent it again completely rude try to ignore the rudeness doesn't work with me

Nice place to stop off the highway and get some gas. The parking lot was well maintained, though it was a bit tight on space.

Perfect gas station , but they were closed but we used our credit card, (shell) to prepay for gasoline

Stopped in to fill up my gas tonight. Arrived at 10:50 PM and started filling my tank up. My wife and 2 small children 4 years old and 2 years old tried to go in to use the restroom at 10:55 PM. This gas station closes at 11:00 PM. As they were getting their shoes on the employee working was smoking outside and saw they were going to go into the station. She quickly threw her cigarette out and ran inside and locked the door so they could not use the restroom. Not a family friendly establishment.

I travel for work and see my fair share of gas stations, but this was my best experience so far... extremely friendly and attentive staff, who solved an issue at the pump quickly and politely. The bathroom was clean too.

Horrible attitude by cashier. Bathroom was out of order. Smelled like smoke from cashier (who’d just got smoking near the door) and had her “mandatory” mask hanging off her ear while playing on her phone ignoring customers.

They have many items here that you really wouldn't think a small station/convenience store would have. Everyone here is friendly. It's also  attached to Philly's restaurant, which is a plus!! We always buy gas here!

I went in to grab a Mt dew and the guy said we almost have tenderloins ready(one of my favorite foods).  I got one and it was a very good tenderloin I can't believe it came from a gas station.

This is my go to gas station. Let's face it, all gas stations are the same at the pump but not all gas is created equal.  If you have a high performance, modern vehicle then you need to be a shell customer.

Everyone's else's gas was sky high and I found this place to be the cheapest by a lot. Across the road it was 2.35 a gal. and Shell gas was 2.15 a gal. And friendly service.

Nasty.
Overflowing trash.  No paper towels at pumps.  Trash on ground.  Weeds growing around air pumps.  Trash & debris in parking lot & gas is expensive.  Inside is cluttered with posters & just junk.

No working squeegees. Card reader was a pain. They do earn a point for fairly clean restroom.

They don't take manufacture 's coupons lol. It's not expired or anything he just points at it and says "we don't accept these cards" ok dude.

Expect to have gas stations to have gas, windshield cleaning equipment, and pumps that print receipts at the pumps. This was one that failed in the latter. If you are going to have modern pumps to make refueling easy and efficient, maintain them so they give the service level expected!

Just stopped for gas and a bathroom. Probably won’t ever be by this way again but it was a decent enough place.

Large parking lot for trucks which was able to accommodate Wandervans. Ate at the Subway inside and took a short nap before heading out. Had DEF fluid which was desperately needed. Has Native American items which is unique to this location.

Gas pumps all taken up by people standing around… the spots at the pumps are all being treated like parking spots which makes it twice as long to get gas, and personally a bunch of people milling around my car staring is enough to make me uncomfortable…

Attendant at the store said it would take up to 15 minutes to run a card for any purchases, and while the card was processing they can’t even make cash transactions.

On 03/05/23, as I walked past the long subway lines to the restroom, I heard either a shell/subway employee make 2 racist remarks towards a young customer visiting from Indiana. (I spoke with the father) I can’t put them on here because google will block it. Then manager walks by me and mumbles the cliche “these effin ppl” and was raising his voice multipe times when he was being calmly(but clearly upset) confronted. The subway manager was very rude as well. Never going here again. Smh google needs to make a zero stars

All because no one is equipped to handle holiday travel.. Parking was terrible,  No room to move around the store, All 4 stalls women's restroom were full and so many people piling into the store there wasn't any room to wait for restroom.

stopped here got about 80 dollars in diesel  at the rv pumps 500 dollars showed up on my statement 05/18/23 tried to call mgt apparently after 5pm nobody is in charge there

You know for being the only gas station in DeVille they sure do jack up everything 3 to 4 times percent then things should be they can't be just original and double the price but no they got a triple it when . No wonder they're able to build so many new why not stops they ripping people off they're the highest place on their grizzly big can $23 bucks.

Friendly staff, clean and normally stays stocked with what you need. Only issue I have is with the pump layout. REALLY !!!!! ,  what undereducated person comes up with this sort of layout on fuel pumps. I have seen a lot of stupid things but these pumps top the list.

Good gas prices, delicious and wellpriced food, staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. Can't recommend enough!

We stopped here on our way out of town for Easter. My husband proceeded to fill up with gas, and the total was 26.00. I was managing my online bank account and saw that right after we left there, they charged us 125.00! So my husband calls the manager from the number on the receipt. He speaks with her and she proceeded to say that SHELL puts a hold on your account for that amount until the transaction is processed with your bank. It could take 24 hours or up to a week! And she says there’s a sign on the pumps! Obviously it wasn’t that crucial to let everyone know!  SHELL will not have us for customers anymore! This is absolutely unbelievable that they are going to charge us 99.00 for 26.00 worth of gas or a little over 10 gallons of gas! Highway Robbery! Watch Out!

The happy hour fountain drinks are great, and the meat pies and boudin are nice for a quick snack.

We stopped in this Shell around 6:30 pm on Dec. 4, 2023 to get a drink. After placing my drink on the counter, I realized  I lost my money. I apologized  to him and he was was not happy about that.  I have never experienced anything like that in my life. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. He should be terminated  immediately. Just a nasty miserable  person he must be. He also told me to not come into the store again. Just because I lost my money to buy a fountain drink . It's so pathetic.  He does not have to worry about me coming into this Shell again.

Friendly staff and locally owned.   I buy a lot of red bulls here. It’s definitely worth check it out  if you’re going to be nearby.

Of the 3 gas stations in Sellersburg (that aren't Circle K) that I frequent, this is my LEAST favorite. Only because the night time guy is a total jerk. He is so unfriendly it's borderline rude. He mumbles, so I can't understand a word he's saying on the rare occasion he actually speaks. If it weren't for him, I'd probably go here the most. Because they employ such a nasty person, I'll spend my money at Marathon across the street.

Edit: he's gone now, so I'll give it another shot.

Edit 2.0: the original guy has not returned, so I've been going here more. They aren't the friendliest people in town, but at least they don't go out of their way to be rude. I'll bump them up to 3 stars.

Believe it or not the $3 they charge for the ATM is the lowest one in town if you have the wrong bank that is. Like me! Store is well organized and clean and well lit.

Scam alert. I have only interacted with this business twice but it is very close to my new job and stopped in. I bought a Mr. Fog Air Max and later returned to buy a second. The price was $22.99. With indiana state tax of 7% this comes out to $24.60. The cash register charged $28.05. I explained to the cashier the difference and that it doesn't add up. I asked if there were any hidden fees. He said no, just taxes. I asked what the tax rate was and he did not answer. I calculated it. It's 22% I checked my receipt for the first one after i got home and it was the same. I even had him re-ring it by itself since I didn't trust him and it came out the same.  Meaning this is a systemwide issue, built into it, not necessarily the cashier I encountered. This means that anyone who has purchased stuff here at any time could have been paying an addition 15% in taxes here. Maybe it's this product, maybe its all mr. Fog. Maybe its this business. Be careful. I won't ever be back and I'm warning everyone I know.
