We stopped in this Shell around 6:30 pm on Dec. 4, 2023 to get a drink. After placing my drink on the counter, I realized I lost my money. I apologized to him and he was was not happy about that. I have never experienced anything like that in my life. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. He should be terminated immediately. Just a nasty miserable person he must be. He also told me to not come into the store again. Just because I lost my money to buy a fountain drink . It's so pathetic. He does not have to worry about me coming into this Shell again.
Of the 3 gas stations in Sellersburg (that aren't Circle K) that I frequent, this is my LEAST favorite. Only because the night time guy is a total jerk. He is so unfriendly it's borderline rude. He mumbles, so I can't understand a word he's saying on the rare occasion he actually speaks. If it weren't for him, I'd probably go here the most. Because they employ such a nasty person, I'll spend my money at Marathon across the street.
Edit: he's gone now, so I'll give it another shot.
Edit 2.0: the original guy has not returned, so I've been going here more. They aren't the friendliest people in town, but at least they don't go out of their way to be rude. I'll bump them up to 3 stars.
Believe it or not the $3 they charge for the ATM is the lowest one in town if you have the wrong bank that is. Like me! Store is well organized and clean and well lit.
Scam alert. I have only interacted with this business twice but it is very close to my new job and stopped in. I bought a Mr. Fog Air Max and later returned to buy a second. The price was $22.99. With indiana state tax of 7% this comes out to $24.60. The cash register charged $28.05. I explained to the cashier the difference and that it doesn't add up. I asked if there were any hidden fees. He said no, just taxes. I asked what the tax rate was and he did not answer. I calculated it. It's 22% I checked my receipt for the first one after i got home and it was the same. I even had him re-ring it by itself since I didn't trust him and it came out the same. Meaning this is a systemwide issue, built into it, not necessarily the cashier I encountered. This means that anyone who has purchased stuff here at any time could have been paying an addition 15% in taxes here. Maybe it's this product, maybe its all mr. Fog. Maybe its this business. Be careful. I won't ever be back and I'm warning everyone I know.

Friendly staff and locally owned. I buy a lot of red bulls here. It’s definitely worth check it out if you’re going to be nearby.
