MobilityPLUS Rehabilitation

I have completed a 4 week long clinical as a physical therapy student, as well as been a patient at MobilityPlus in Gwinner multiple times. Ryan and Staci are true professionals and always know the next best move for a patient’s health and recovery. You will always be treated like a real person and not just a number on the computer. If you don’t need therapy and just want to get in shape, they have a 24/7 gym that is always well maintained and ready for all of your fitness goals.

I am completing a one week clinical at mobility plus, and have been blown away by the care provided and the facility at the Gwinner location. Dr. Ryan Lorenz is very thorough and provides quality care to a wide variety of patients. He is excellent at explaining to patients what is happening during the rehab process.

The gym provides 24/7 access to community users with a membership. There is equipment for any level gym goer, from those working on rehabbing to high level athletes. The staff on site is all very friendly and constantly looking for ways to better the facility as a whole!

I was referred to MobilityPLUS Rehabilitation in Gwinner ND to be treated for shoulder and neck pain. Dr. Ryan Lorenz, DPT was my therapist. I am very pleased with the treatment and services I received from Dr. Lorenz and his staff.  Dr. Lorenz asked me several questions about the pain I was experiencing and he took the time to explain to me what he was going to do to help treat the pain. He also provided me with educational material and home exercises that I could do myself  between treatments. Dr. Lorenz worked with me for about 8 weeks and I left the clinic pain free.  That was 2 years ago and I’m still pain free. I'm very grateful for the excellent care I received from Dr. Lorenz and his staff and I highly recommend their services.

I highly recommend Dr. Ryan Lorenz. I had worked with Dr. Lorenz in the Lidgerwood clinic. After my first appointment Ryan was able to tell me what was causing all my knee pain. He recommend that I meet with Bob to get fitted for orthodics. I meet with Bob in there office in Gwinner. I received my orthodics  in the mail 2 days later.. Ryan had given me excerises to do at home. Ryan also provided the band I needed to do one of the excerises. After 8 visit Ryan released me from phyical therapy. I feel confident in how we were able to get my knee strengthened up. I Don't limp around in pain anymore.

I recently had a torn meniscus surgery and I was referred to Mobility Plus in Gwinner for therapy.
I can not say enough good about the whole entire staff. They are so caring and so dedicated to their profession. They had me up and running in a short amount of time. My Ortho Dr. could not believe how quickly I bounced back from surgery.
The facility is spotless and everyone is super helpful. It is so wonderful to have Mobility Plus in Gwinner.

The Studio by M

I was told by my physical therapist to work on whole body strengthening with pilates so I bought a Groupon to try out Studio M because of my chronic shoulder pain/weakness. Emilie is very knowledgeable and is helping me move healthier while keeping it fun and light. She can handle my musculoskeletal issues, as well. And yes, you will feel a deeper burn in your core/glutes than you have felt in years. Will continue past the Groupon expiration.

Service Industry worker with all the usual issues, Emilie has helped me to work pain free. The reformer is delightful.

Emilie is such a motivational instructor! I’ve never had such a great time going to a work out class! She’s the best!

So great and such a good workout! Em is the best and it goes by in a flash. Highly recommend!

Black Onyx Wax Studio LLC-Salon Lofts

Michelle has been doing my Brazilians for 4 months now and she’s amazing! I originally went to a chain wax center for my first time and it was so horrible I almost decided to never get waxed again. A friend recommended her and the experience was nothing like when I went to that other place. She’s quick and the way she waxes you makes it very easy to handle pain wise. If you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing, go and see Michelle!

I usually avoid waxing because of the insensitive methods used, but wow…I’m so glad I started going to Michelle! I got my bikini line done first and she made it almost painless. I appreciate her methods, calm spirit, quickness, and wealth of information on waxing. I felt so comfortable that I stepped it up this time and got a full Brazilian done. Black owned, reasonably priced, and sensitive to your needs! Thanks Michelle

I've been going to Michelle for years! She does such a great job, there's been a few times I've had to go to other businesses for my wax service and the quality doesn't compare to Michelle, she knows what she's doing and does it well! Definitely recommend!

Michelle changed my experience with waxing - I will never go back to an inexperienced wax technician and the unneccessary pain. She is skilled, professional, personable, and always a pleasure to see. Plus their location is convenient in Uptown (with off-street parking even!), clean, and pricing is affordable. I really couldn't ask for anything more!

The best waxing I’ve ever had! I also love their products for the preventative and after care. The products are greatly priced and offer fast results. Michelle and halla are outstanding and being such a good experience. Don’t worry about your bad waxing experiences in the past, they will complete change that exporter for you! Not mention they are a black owned business!

Ariel is lovely! She was very careful with my skin and it was one of the most comfortable waxes I’ve ever had! (It was bikini area) She’s a kind person and makes you feel welcomed. Very professional and high quality waxing.

I’ve been going to Ariel for a few years for my Brazilian now and let me tell you guys...she is AMAZING. She always takes her time to make sure everything is done right! I always leave feeling so smooth. Never have I gotten a wax like that anywhere else. She removes EVERY hair,  I mean every single one! She’s also very professional while still remaining relatable and easy to talk to. Great wax and conversation in a cute, clean space every time!

I have been going to Ariel for almost  2 years now. I found her on groupon in 2019 and I've been going back to her ever since. She's very quick and clean with her services which makes getting waxes less painful. Having a responsible and kind person service you in such a venerable way is hard to find but Ariel is one of them. She has made getting waxes for me a necessity verse me doing it every blue moon. I love her and the services. I highly recommend her services to all kinds :)

Ariel is so amazing! She is professional and reliable! She did an amazing job for my makeup for my bridal shower! She made me feel so good about myself! I can’t wait to have her do my makeup for my wedding!!! She was awesome to work with and she responds within minutes with any questions I had! I would recommend her for any service she provides! Drybar - St. Louis - Frontenac

Me and My mom went to get our hair done for a mother and daughter day! We really appreciate MzKay,Tiara,Fantima doing our heart that did an amazing job! They were funny and excellent work. Will definitely come back and hopefully have them as our stylist again ❤️

Raven at Drybar in Frontenac is great! Extremely nice/great personality and a natural when it comes to blowouts/styling. I’m really happy with my experience. I’ve had many blowouts and this has been my best experience by far. Great volume/feels clean and will last days I can already tell.

I called dry bar a week before I had an event. I told them that it was my sons wedding and that I needed a very experienced person to do my hair. They said they would give me one. The girl they gave me was completely inexperienced , she had not been a hair stylist very long and I even question if she even had a license . Her last job had been in a factory. She did a terrible job. The salon charged me more because they said it was an updo. They did offer to redo the hair, but I had wasted so much time on the first hairstyle I had no more time. The charge was 99.00 and the tip suggestions started at 25%, 30% or 35%.  Please never use this dry bar, they lied about the experience of the stylist and it ruined my sons wedding day for me.

Came here for the first time this evening. My hairstylist was sweet and hair turned out beautiful. Within the last 20 minutes of my appointment one of the hairstylists and front desk girl started to argue. Just made me feel a bit uncomfortable and not in a professional environment.

I have been to Drybar probably 5 or 6 times, and have always had a great experience. So when I was planning my wedding, it was a no brainer to have them do my and my bridesmaids wedding day hair! My stylist was Lxe and she made me feel so gorgeous with a perfect Old Fashioned style for my big day! All of my bridesmaids were first-time Drybar guests and loved their experience. Our hair looked amazing (and smelled amazing!) and lasted all day long, even with St. Louis humidity in full force that day. I cannot say enough about how great Drybar is! And a fraction of the price to have your hair styled professionally by other salons that offer bridal party styling.

Los Campeones Gym

Pros:
Lots of equipment- you can do literally anything here

Reasonably priced- at $55-$60 a month with no contracts.

Friendly/helpful staff

Cons:
Loud - sometimes the music is so loud you can't hear your own headphones.

Dirty- I rarely see anyone cleaning equipment and a lot of times people don't rack their weights or put their stuff away. Gets cramped with tripping hazards.

Limited Parking- lot is small and it's close to the encampment, so walking after dark feels a little sketchy.

Poor layout- a lot of little things that add up. Could maybe benefit from a reorganization of the layout. Ex: Tvs are mounted so high you can't watch them when you're on the treadmill. HIIT area is downstairs but the ceilings are so low you can't actually jump rope unless you're really short. Squat rack is so close to the back stairwell you sometimes have to wait for ppl to finish a set to go downstairs. It's just kind of awkward.

Overall ok, but it wouldn't be my top pick if it weren't in such a good location for me.

Great gym and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful!
The downstairs is huge, lots of space throughout the entire building.

Staff are solid and there is a nice array of equipment, but this place clearly isn’t cleaned regularly and unless you have over ear sound cancelling headphones you will not be able to hear your own music as the in house speakers are bumping at full volume. Parking sucks too, 6 or 7 spots total, not including improvised parking. Equipment is good quality, but beat to hell. Definitely have to wash your hands after leaving as there is grime on alot. 60 a month is an okay deal but theres a lot you have to compromise for, not sure if I’ll stay for another month.

Fantastic powerlifting-focused gym. Lots of variation in experience here, with newcomers and frequents alike. Tons of equipment, about 8 power racks, many places to do deadlifts or other compound exercises. Great selection of machines too. The gymgoers I've met are all very friendly and willing to help out if you need a spotter as well. Everyone here does a pretty good job at cleaning up after themselves, and reracking their weights. The staff I've met have been helpful and courteous. Parking isn't too bad as even if the lot is full there's usually street parking nearby. Seriously a fantastic gym.

Great gym! Both staff and members are so welcoming, no matter where you’re at on your fitness journey.

Impact Athlete Fitness

I was unsure if this program was gonna work because I felt like I was doing a good job myself. Not only have I made insane progress in this 6 week program but I feel crazy support for my trainer Alex. The entire gym community is amazing and everyone pushes each other. Everyone can see a change in each other and the confidence in ourselves. If you’re looking to not just get more fit but better yourself as a person this is the place for you. 10/10!

I have been on a plan with Coach Alex for 5.5 weeks and have had amazing success!! I have dropped 15.4 pounds! Changed my eating, understood WHY I was not losing weight before and have a better grasp on my health. He and I just made a plan for the next 6 weeks, new goals, new things to learn! First time I’ve SEEN and FELT these types of results!
The gym is always available and Al and Mel are amazing coaches and instructors!  Best gym experience I’ve  ever had!!

I was skeptical joining the 6 weeks challenge that popped in my Instagram. But, I am so glad I did. Coach Alex guided me through this journey with all the nutrition plan. He was there to answer any questions and was very supportive. Group class was another awesome workout. It was fun and have different workouts everyday. Our awesome Trainer Melanie and Al was there to guide us and gave attention to correct us. I highly recommend this gym and it is 24x7.

I love it here! My accountability coach Alex is awesome! He motivates me and keeps me on track even when I don't want to give up and lay on the couch. AL and Mel are great trainers and keep group class fun and exciting, very non formal and it works for all fitness levels.  I'm down 35 lbs so far!!! I highly recommend working with these guys!

Warson Woods Fit Body Boot Camp

I can’t say enough good things about this gym. I’m relatively fit and for most of my adult life was self motivated to go to the gym and achieve my fitness goals. The pandemic definitely put a damper on that routine. I didn’t think I’d enjoy a structured workout class, but this has really exceeded my expectations. The staff really care about each and every client. They work with you based on any limitations or variations you need. The workouts are surprisingly well balanced to work on strength, cardio, and coordination. I’m also impressed by how well the workouts scale to accommodate all ages, fitness levels, and body types. After a few weeks of consistent workouts here, I feel stronger than I have in a long time.

I just started going to this gym. So far so good, I really like Coach Brian. He is very friendly, energetic, fun, just an overall great coach! I really enjoyed the class as well as all of the exercises, (except push- ups. Lol)

The atmosphere and coaches here are very welcoming. They offer a lot of great resources and encouragement for meeting your health goals.

FINALLY I’ve found a workout “family”!  I’ve spent so much money on gym memberships that I never used because I didn’t feel a connection to the coaches and fellow members. At FBBC the coaches take time to get to know you not only on a work out level, but a personal level. They help you set and reach goals and truly appreciate you supporting their business!  They strive to make everyone in the session feel a part of the FBBC Family.

Love Fit Body Fit workouts and the community mentality here. The workouts are great, straight to the point that gets your heartbeat pumping, all in a short 30min session, no surprise workouts. You know what the exercises will be at the beginning of the class.

Nick and Brian are really motivated and gets you pumped to do your best. Definitely recommend if you are in the market for a good work out and a great price as well!

Warson Woods Fit Body Forever

This is pretty awesome. I have a few personal training clients who needed just a little bit more support. They found it at Fit Body Forever. Not only did Fit Body Forever have movements they can do, but they also had a community for my clients to connect with. Glad I got connected with them and will continue to send my clients that need a little bit more support to them.

Pure Barre

Bad customer service, bad vibes, small dark room.
Here is my small adventure with this place. There is no signage in the street, so after parking I spent 5 minutes looking for it, asking local businesses, calling to get directions, (noone picks up), and when I eventually find the place I’m kicked out as I am 8 minutes late. In essence I lost my Saturday morning time to do my workout, parking fees, drive time and credits on ClassPass. The woman at the front desk was unapologetic about ignoring the call, the class was maybe 1/3 full and nobody cared I’m shopping for a new home for my workouts. I’ve tried other amazing barre studios in the city, and this one is a stark contrast with its lack of friendliness, atmosphere, decore etc. Crossing this one off the list pretty easily.

I love this studio! It's largely replaced my daily trip to the gym. Instructors are always pushing me to get the best workout I can, and they're always running some sort of challenge to keep my coming in and working. Their merch is really cute. Front desk staff is always welcoming. And they have free parking! Which is great for a downtown location. Highly recommend!

I am so glad I joined the studio! I have made so many friends and love coming to class. It is a great full body workout that I look forward to doing usually 6 times a week!

I love this studio and workout!! I’ve been going for almost 3.5 years, and I still look forward to class every time! - okay maybe not when I’m planking! Hahah!
Especially since the pandemic Pure Barre  Northloop has been a must for my mental health! They have done an awesome job at making sure we have access to classes, whether in studio or virtual, and have really rolled with the punches with all type changes, and updates ensuring that everyone stays safe and comfortable. Wonderful teachers and community!
