LA Fitness

This place is awesome! Mike was very helpful and gave me a great tour of their facilities. The basketball gym is great and always has good games going. There are lots of helpful staff and that is unique to this LA Fitness, other places in the cities don't take care of their members like this place does!

Mike has provide excellent service while trying to figure out an emailing issue with LA Fitness 7 days pass. His patient was commendable and prompt me to write this review. He was very helpful and we wanted to ensure he receives  recognition for his efforts.

As soon as I walked in kallie greeted me an amazing attitude. She had the most amazing smile on her face and I really felt welcomed here and if I ever see her again in this La I’ll make sure to bring her favorite coffe just to make her day. Mike had the most coolest beard with the biggest muscles I’ve ever seen, as he greeted me it felt like he was apart of the fam. I really hope you give these two a raise for there work and I will 100% be coming back.

My friend, possessing a 7-day pass (having utilized only 1 day at the aforementioned branch), and I, a full-year paid member, were subjected to an unexpectedly prolonged and discommoding entrance process on this occasion. Previous visits were seamless, simply involving form completion and entry, however, on this particular day, we were informed that assistance from a sales representative was requisite for my friend's pass.

Regrettably, the engagement with the staff, notably with the individual identifying himself as Mike, the store and district manager, was noticeably less than professional and contradicted the positive experiences I previously had at your St. Louis Park location.

Despite our explicit expression of intent to discuss membership options post-workout, Mike persistently and insistently pressed us to engage in a sales conversation at that moment, which significantly delayed our entry. It is worth noting that I had explained my status as a retired veteran with anxiety issues, emphasizing our desire to commence our workout due to my limited time and to mitigate my increasing anxiety.

What exacerbated the situation was Mike's subsequent demeanor and interactions, which I perceived as both condescending and dismissive, particularly when he said, “you good,” in what seemed to be a diminutive manner. Furthermore, my friend experienced an unduly prolonged discussion, which could be categorized as an interview, with another sales associate even after I had commenced my workout, a situation I found to be unnecessarily elongated and disruptive.

I understand that every business strives to expand its membership and sales; however, the approach taken by Mike and his team was unbecoming, unprofessional, and not customer-oriented. His inability to provide a business card or further contact for a higher-level manager when requested was also deeply concerning and contradicted the standard transparency and accountability I anticipate in professional settings.

I kindly request that this matter be investigated and addressed appropriately to prevent future similar occurrences. As a proud member, veteran, and individual of Latino descent, it is pivotal for me to convey that such an experience significantly undermines my comfort and trust in La Fitness.

Moreover, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to formally document this unsatisfactory experience, but I am hopeful that addressing this matter internally within Richfield LA Fitness will facilitate a resolution and prevent any future patrons from experiencing similar discontent.

I joined LA Fitness a few years back and did not care for this branch then.  It has improved a lot over the last year.  Friendlier and more helpful front-desk staff, the bathrooms and locker rooms are clean.  There is always equipment available when I need it.  It has also been cooler inside during the summer, making it easier to work out.  For what I pay a month, it's worth it.

Lizzie's waxing studio

Lizzie is amazing at what she does! My brows look amazing after every wax. She makes me feel so relaxed and comfortable during my waxing appointments. Her salon suite is so cute too. Highly recommend her for any and all body waxing!

Lizzie is the absolute best. I went to her both times for my first lash lift and tint and full Brazilian and LET ME TELL YOU. This lady knows what she’s doing! Im flaunting a new confidence I haven’t had before from these lashes continuing to absolutely pop after 5 weeks now! (If you’ve ever debated doing a lash lift and tint DO IT. Coming out of the shower or waking up with lushes lashes is next level fantastic.) THEN, my Brazilian… freaking spectacular making me comfortable and explaining the process (y’all add that vajacial holy heck I was obsessed). It’s been a week with still no hair growth and she looks BEAUTIFUL and I am obsessed. Posting this review because you all deserve the feel beautiful in your skin and let Elizabeth help with that! Only will go to her from now on! ❤️❤️

The Bar Method Edina

I write this review in my capacity as a visiting client from CA rather than an instructor: I love the ample, free parking next to the studio and its location to lovely bars & restaurants within walking distance- barre and bar! The manager and instructors made me feel so welcome as a visitor; they tend to your needs and make you feel special! They also have very cute retail that I haven't seen at other studios!!!

I highly recommend you make a visit- whether you are a visiting client from another studio or a local needing a regular exercise routine.

The Bar Method has been the only work out I've stuck with consistently and I've been doing it now for 4 years. The instructors are fantastic and everyone there truly cares about you and your fitness journey. It was a great way to stay active throughout my pregnancy and the live stream classes make it easy to fit in to life with a toddler as well. Highly recommended.

I have been a Bar Method Fan for 10 years! I have attended Bar Method Classes in Hermosa Beach, San Francisco, Chicago, Highland Park, Scottsdale, NYC, Philadelphia & Boston. Without a doubt the best instructors are right here in Minneapolis! I love the fact that there is a group of us who have been here from the start and are still here. The Bar Method is a part of our lives and even when life takes an unexpected direction and we may temporarily stray, we always return!  Thank you to all of the wonderful staff and instructors that make me feel like I have a true Bar Family :)

I love coming to exercise at this studio! All of the instructors are knowledgeable, dedicated and supremely gifted. I've met more smart natural leaders in this relatively small space than I have in any other comparable studio or gym...ever!
There is a genuine spirit of collegiality and supportive non-competitiveness. As an exerciser on the other side of 65, I am most definitely a devotee of The Bar Method approach and philosophy. I have seen the results in myself in terms of strength, agility and balance. I love having a place to go where it is safe to  challenge myself--and be challenged--to keep growing in fitness. The Bar Method stood out to me because the attention to physiology and collaboration with actual physical therapists. I have a background in dance (long ago), yoga, and other exercise. I'm attempting to return to physical activity to build strength after a forced hiatus due to health issues. I have to be extremely careful in how I exercise, and so far Bar Method hasn't caused any issues. It's a place where you will be challenged, but it's low impact and modifiable if you have physical/health issues that make exercise tricky. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful, and the atmosphere is friendly and encouraging. Give it try! Especially if you need a little extra care in your journey back to strength.

Bodiology Pilates

Wonderful pilates studio with a great instructor.  Pilates is a great low impact way to get active - especially if you are just starting out.  And Bodiology is a great place to learn.  The studio is conveniently located off of 394 with plenty of parking.  Inside it has high ceilings, skylights, hardwood floors with boho carpets and a fireplace.  It’s warm and welcoming space.  Not intimidating and cold like so many gyms!  The instructor, also a Catherine, is patient and really cares that you learn and take care of your body.  She is great at explaining everything and matching the speed at which you learn.  I really enjoy working with her!  Check out her Groupon specials for beginners, but make sure the times work for you before purchasing :).

I came across this place via Groupon. I'm usually weary when it comes to places through groupon, but, Bodiology is definitely a place I would recommend for anyone that wants to start getting into pilates. I've taken several classes in the past, but never had an instructor like Kathy who really starts at the fundamentals. She guides you through every movement and makes you feel very comfortable if you do something incorrectly. She will make sure you do things properly before moving to the next thing. I appreciated it very much. Her studio is very clean and welcoming with all the pilates equipment you would want to work with. Her covid precautions are up above and beyond expectations-I felt very safe. I highly recommend booking with Kathy at Bodiology!

Pure Barre

If you're looking for an inclusive, positive gym with effective workouts, this is the place! The instructors and staff know everyone by name and really make an effort so that everyone gets the right workout for their body and abilities. Try it if you haven't, you won't regret it!

Pure Barre SLP is a welcoming and positive environment with a focus on community and celebrating everyone’s achievements! The community is incredible with teachers who know everyone’s name and make an effort to get to know people individually. If you are looking for a quick and challenging workout, pure barre is a great choice because of the variety and how it is set to fun playlists. So glad I found pure barre SLP not only for the workout but for the community that makes me feel welcome each time I am there.

Pure Barre - the only consistent movement I've stuck with for going on 4 years!!  I love everything about Pure Barre St. Louis Park - the staff, the workout, the friends I make every time I go!  This is the place for friendly faces and low impact/highly effective workouts!!

I LOVE Pure Barre SLP!! The moment you walk into the studio you are greeted with a friendly staff and the check in process is very easy and convenient! The studio is clean and has a fun atmosphere! The workout, whether Classic, Empower or Reform is EFFECTIVE!! I lost weight quickly after signing up as it's a FUN workout that I never get tired of doing! It's easy to stay committed, plus the community is unlike anything I've experienced at other studios or gyms! The instructors are all amazing, easy to follow, friendly and passionate. Give it a go- it's a wonderful workout!

I'm visiting from out of town and needed to get my Pure Barre in. This studio was amazing. I took Platform today and signed up for the awesome 3 classes for $33 new client special, so I will be coming back for PB the next two days. The owner was teaching and her energy was phenomenal. The clients were all so into the class too and working so hard, so the energy in the room was perfect. And the merchandise at the studio was amazing with some really great deals. Even if you don't do Pure Barre you should check this place out for barre/yoga clothes!

Good: Convenient location. Friendly staff. I just come in to do my workout and leave, so it's perfect for that. It's not the worst place and not the best. Lots of equipment to use and they have a rower, so I'm pleased. Seems people pick up after themselves in the workout area. Can't say the same for the bathrooms. 3 day pass is a good tool.

Bad: Scheduled for service is frequently on many of the treadmills. I've had some cut out mid run on me. Luckily, I take it pretty easy, but they need a serious update. The row machines need some tweaks too. It gets crowded around the peak times (as expected). I've had to adjust my workouts because there's no space or the equipment is unavailable. I haven't worked out in winter so I'll update if the crowding gets worse.

This is a very convenient location. There are lots of machines available for use and free weights. I enjoy the pool and the hot tub. I also have a personal trainer here, who is very good. Also, the owner, Brian, is really nice. My experiences here have been great!

On my list of “do not go” because the sauna is at 150 in the middle of the day despite being turned up all the way. Never coming back to this one, this is a common theme across la fitness clubs and the only one at 180 as advertised is near Burnsville.

I worked out at this LA fitness to stay in shape for high school sports and got my membership back in 2016 right when I hit the age minimum. The personal trainers practically begged me to take advantage of my 1 free personal training session (I had no interest), and being 16, I eventually obliged. A grown adult male personal trainer worked me (a 16 year old girl) so hard I vomited and then proceeded to make me sit through a marketing spiel about how I should sign up for more sessions. Gross and predatory behavior. I never went back. Sincerely hope things have changed since then.

This is a convenient location for me, but most of the time I go out of my way to the Edina location. The equipment at SLP is dated, often dysfunctional, and sometimes dangerous. The treadmills are not evenly weighted on the floor, so they wobble. I’ve had two separate occasions where a treadmill cuts out on me in the middle of a run. Both times, I felt very lucky that I didn’t hurt my knee. I reported it to the staff both times. They put signs on the treadmills saying that they are “scheduled for service” (there are currently several of these signs on treadmills) yet it keeps happening. The staff is friendly and the place is relatively clean, I just don’t think that the equipment is consistently safe in its current state. Be careful.

StretchLab

When i walk out of StretchLab after my appointment with Seaira, I feel fabulous - flexible, balanced, and affirmed.  It's always a great experience and I find it's really helping my half-frozen shoulder loosen up and move easier.

I have been going to the Eagan Stretch Lab and have been amazed with how much this has helped me! Alex is amazing and he really knows what he is doing! Thank you Alex for getting me straightened out and improving my mobility and alignment. You have made the BIGGEST difference in the quality my of life.  Carol

Always a great stretch! Jesse was great! And tried his best at not overstretching this very flexible body of mine yet enough stretch so it was beneficial.

I won a free stretch from the Grand opening day almost a year ago! I was skeptical at the thought of just stretching. I can say, I couldn't believe how relaxed and comfortable I felt after! Not that I felt stiff or in pain before, but I can see how someone with these symptoms would benefit for this. Seaira was great to work with and did a great job. I highly recommend and will be going back!!!

This place is a dream come true! Found an amazing chiropractor that I've been going to 3 x's a week for 3 months and still it's awful. Bought a package right away!!

This place is wonderful to go to. We tried it last spring and go for bi weekly appointments.  Their flexologists are a cross between a massage therapist, chiropractor  and a trainer. You feel so good and relaxed after a session.  Thank you for this new concept.

Flexologist Kirk was wonderful. Felt like I was a professional athlete getting top notch stretches from a trainer. My mobility score went up 10 points after just one session!

European Wax Center

I would 20/10 recommend Samantha as your specialist!! It was my first time there and I had my underarms, upper lip, eyebrows and Brazilian wax. She made me feel really comfortable and ensured me that everything was going to be okay as I was really nervous. I love the fact that she would constantly check in and see if anything else needed some adjustments to make sure it was to my liking. I just felt like I was talking to a friend the entire process. Looking forward to going back there for my next appointment!

Great location. Easy to access and ample parking. Been going here for 5+ years now and see Maria every time. She is super welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

They are working with me to regain the range of motion necessary for me to live my life with greater flexibility and enjoyment! Better than a message, pedicure, makeover or taking yourself out for dinner. You will feel a big difference. Be kind to yourself and try it! You'll love it!!

Tried them when they ran a special for 1st time clients. I had upper back discomfort. Doc did his assessment, did a series of adjustments, and gave me an exercise to do at home. Back was better the next day. I’m likely going to get a package for regular maintenance.

First visit was a great experience! Look forward to going back.

Been a member at this location since August 2021.  Was paired initially with Sonya and she is awesome!  First off, I like what they are about - my body needed this.  Second, and most importantly, Sonya is an absolute pleasure to work with.  It’s her combination of knowledge, professionalism, and communication skills that keeps me coming back for more.  She is a real joy to work with and she in combination with a clean and friendly studio makes my investment in a Stretchlab membership all worth it.
