Mahomet Ace Hardware

I came in today looking for a specific part for my spreader so I could start laying seed, weed and feed and all the fun things to care for my lawn. Ryan, immediately jumped in to help me. He knew what I needed but unfortunately they didn’t have it. So he came up with a additional solution and said bring in the spreader let’s drill a hole and add a part. He was quick with the decision-making and the creativity. As you can see from the pictures below, it needed a that would hold onto the bar. I would recommend working with Ryan, if you visit Mahomet Ace Hardware.

Ace is always there and close by when I need something for my projects, and more often than not always have exactly what I need! I also appreciate they're extending their hours coming up soon, so I can work on my projects even later!

Staff are always super helpful! This time it was my endless questions about outdoor lighting options for a small fenced in area for our dog. Was able to sort out exactly what I needed.

Was looking for 4in yellow zip ties. Didn't have any. But they had some pastel 8 in ones. Could use in crafts.

Small town service with Ace Hardware's famously high level of staff expertise helping you figure out just how to handle your project.
I'm sure there are lots of places to get "stuff" cheaper if you're ok with getting stuff that may not work quite how you needed or wanted them to. I'm going back to Ace, pay them once and get the job done right the first time. My wasted time, trouble, and trips back to the cheaper place over the years have shown me where the real bargain is!

I recently purchased what I thought was a battery operated weed trimmer. After opening the box when I got home I realized I had got a an electric model. I immediately put it back in the box and returned it with the receipt the next day. The store manager made me feel like I was trying return a used item! She took it out of the box and went over it with a fine tooth comb. She finally agreed to refund me. Customer satisfaction was not her top priority! Everyone says to shop local! No way! I will never shop at the Dwight Ace again! Hello Amazon!!!

Never once have I felt welcome here.   The lady running this place is absolutely dreadful.  Awful.

it's always a pleasure to conduct business here.  everyone you encounter is always super helpful and incredibly friendly.  the store is always in pristine condition and the outside is organized and allows ample parking

Neighborhood Ace Hardware

Store is nice since reopening after the fire but miss the gift section.  This Ace used to be the place to get what you needed and unique gifts,  sadly it is no longer like that. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This place is awesome!   You absolutely have to come here. So much stuff I can't even begin to tell you!

Great store with great service! We proudly do as much shopping at Hood's as we can, they have a wonderful selection of just about anything! Their gift section is one of a kind with many items to choose from.  The help that we receive at this location is above all others, they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy! My husband and I were in last week looking for Christmas lights, they were unfortunately out of the ones we wanted at the time but Amy exceeded our expectations by ordering what we wanted and having them delivered right to the store in a timely manner. Amy even went out of her way to contact me to let me know what was going on with the shipping times, something she did not have to do.  We will continue to support this local gem and their wonderful owners!  I can't write this review without mentioning Debi- she is also such a wonderful help and has been there forever, always asks about the family. You will not find this at the big name stores! ❤️

This just what I am looking for in a local hardware store. A bit of everything you need to fix things around your house.

Just bought a battery operated lawn mower from this store. Amy was extremely helpful on the phone. The same day, Jim delivered the assembled mower to our home and went over every detail of it's operation. (Even though I'm sure we were out of their service area) Some of the best customer service I have experienced in a long, long time. And the mower works great, by the way.

Walmart Supercenter

Very disappointed. I ordered some wrapping paper for pick up on Xmas eve as well as a few other items to get the price up. Put in that they could use other back ups if out of stock due to it being xmas eve. Go to pick up the items and they said they did not choose a back up wrapping paper. They suggested "you can come into the store." The whole point of doing a pick up on xmas eve is to avoid the ppl and lines!!! Duh! So I canceled the entire order and have to wait 10 days for my refund. Never again will I step foot into a Walmart.  Horrible customer service!

If I could rate a zero I would, I waiting 15 min for some batteries. The worker was there and could open the lock for me to get them and buy them but instead she said she has to check me out and I would have to wait. Another worker helped me and I was able to check out myself. I didn’t understand why she had to specifically check me out. It was weird. I understand people steal but she was just taking it out on me and was so rude to me. Even though I was patient with her. Then she  laughed at me as I left the store because I tripped. I was really happy coming into this store but left in a bad way. Can’t believe these people treat the customers this way. I was nothing but nice to them too. It’s a shame but I will never come back to this Walmart. They have the worst piss poor attitude.

We enjoy the bakery goods and shopping for small appliances.They offer extended warranty. They don't have enough electric shopping carts on hand for the handicapped at Wyoming location.

Zero stars, if I had the ability to edit post. This past Saturday was a routine stop at this store location to actually shop in-person. I usu. go in super-early to avoid crowds but went in anyway. I was ready to checkout but made a u turn to get one last item. I left shopping cart about 3 aisles down and came back less than 2 minutes to a missing cart. I told the workers I could find, 1 tried to help, but customer service said they can’t do anything. I retraced steps looking all over the store, at customers, and those at the checkout; nothing. I’m certain there’s security cameras that recorded but I did not get anywhere. If this was to discriminate and add on experience to the kinds of micro-aggressions settlers have a knack for, it’s self-defeating since it lost a customer. Be warned if you’re a POC.

The first part of this is not Walmart's fault. Its the city's for not protecting or providing help with the crime. Everything is locked up behind cages. The Walmart problem is it took an employee over 45 to come and open it. Every employee that walked by didn't care when I asked for help. Felt like I was getting the cold shoulder. The attitude was like it's not my job so I don't care. What happen to customer service. I find that the most disturbing working and have worked in the customer service field for over 20 years. It's very sad how employees don't care in this day and age. Then complain they don't make enough money

Target

CHECK FOOD EXPIRATION DATES!  Today, 12/27/23 I grabbed a pack of sliced Roast Beef and the package felt a bit like a balloon.  I looked at the date and it expired JULY 2023 - over 5 months ago!  I gave to an employee and pointed out the date.  He didn't seem surprised and said he would deal with it.  Now I don't trust their inventory quality control.  That and the AT&T guy trying to sell us phone service on almost every visit... annoying!  I think three stars is generous.

It's not the best target in town and could be a bit more organized

Would be 5 stars were it not for the AT&T guys that try to sell you a plan every time you go in the toy section. “Are you finding everything ok?” Is invariably their opener even though they don’t work for Target. They are trying to scam you. Avoid at all costs.
Otherwise, this is an excellent Target.

I shopped Target for curtains and some other basics when moving into an apartment recently. The items I purchased were the best price / quality I could find in the area, and I have no regrets.

The cashier who checked me out went out of his way to help me with coupons, which ended up saving me some decent $$.

One minor complaint I have is all the locked items. I would shop Target more frequently for things like laundry detergent, but the last time I tried to find an associate to help, I gave up. I don't usually complain about this stuff, but this is getting really out of hand w/ the locked items and self-checkout pains. Target and all big brands need to wake up and change or they're just going to keep losing customers.

Also, on one occasion, I ordered an item for pickup - it was cancelled due to lack of inventory, so I went into the store. Low and behold, it was right there on the shelf. Thinking someone got lazy 😉

As the store first opens in the morning, mind you that restocking is happening and some shelves are not tidy. However, I'm happy to shop, find what I need and ask for help when needed. It's less complicated when you shop with enough time in your hands. Self-check out isn't something I'm interested in, unless I'm only getting what I needed. But as long as there's someone with a pulse present, I'm happy to come back.

I love Target. But these are very sad times. Thieves have caused everything to be locked up. Since no one wants to work, you may have to wait a few to have an employee unlock the cabinet for your detergent, face cream, or vitamins.

I would like to share the outstanding customer service I received today from two Starbucks baristas named Mary and Alissa.  These two beautiful young ladies provided fast and efficient service during a very busy time, all with holiday cheer and a genuine smile on their faces.

I usually have no issues at this Target, however my most recent drive up experience was a hassle. I ordered one bag full of vitamins, one bag full of cleaning supplies, one bag with a couple food items and a 50 lb container of cat litter. The associate pulled the cart up to my trunk and I saw all my items were on the cart. She put the cat litter and my bag of food in my trunk. Of course I couldn’t see what she was putting in my trunk. Well I get home to realize all the vitamins and cleaning supplies were not in my trunk. There wasn’t an option to go back to pick my missing bags up. I had to request a refund in each individual item or have it shipped. It was $48 worth of items. I was not happy.

Edit: I posted this review because I was prompted to do so after taking a customer service survey from Target. I was contacted by a Team Lead at the Target Location. She was so nice and so apologetic. She told me that anytime this were to happen (hopefully it doesn’t) I can just call the store and they’ll hold the missing bag for me. Missing bags are always held for 5 days before being placed back on the shelf and refund automatically issued. She also said that she was able to identify the customer service associate who made the error and she was going to provide some tips on how to make sure all bags are accounted for correctly. I know the customer service associate certainly wasn’t being rude or trying to be difficult. She was super sweet. It was just a mistake. The staff at Target have a lot on their plate. Especially when they have to manage the actual shopping part and pick up. It’s so busy at this Target. This was just an honest mistake that certainly created some frustration, but I believe Target has rectified the issue.

I miss what this location was before 2020. Now it feels like I'm shopping in a prison with almost every basic item locked up and ISP staring you down from the time you get out of your car up until the moment you leave the store with items that you ACTUALLY paid for.

Thanks to the thieves for turning my neighborhood into the very place I never have or wanted to live...the ghetto.

First time in a Target in months. I felt safe with security at the door. The store was clean, as always. I dislike the new ways, goods locked up. I know it's becoming necessary due to theft, but it only puts me off and I go home and order online.

This store is clean, but the employees could be a little bit more helpful. I came in wanting a apple smart watch and an employee told me I had to wait to see if there was any in stock. I had to wait over 15 minutes before they told me that the one, I wanted was out of stock. They said to come back next week and that I could get a raincheck. The service at this particular Target is a little slow and unresponsive.

Worst target i ever been too.  Everything is looked behind glass, armed guards and bad service. Went to checkout line , only one lit and no one was there. Another worker stopped by just to tell me he couldnt help me because he was watching self check out. He also implied to use self checkout.

Americans very positive thinking to the extreme and automatically issue five star raings without any basis so as to even it out am going to give this store a one  though I might have given it a neutral three but I find their management materialistic anti-Christmas creeps as they over react due to what allegedly is "A lot of shoplifting in this store" that manifests in that they treat some customers very badly and hire extra security which increase cost as much as shrinkage where actually I find their merchandise ho hum average without many of the regular things I would buy.

Nice enough, Target. I was put out that they only carry phone cases (2 large cases) for iPhone, really not much for Samsung maybe 5 cases?). If Target is going to play games, I will stop shopping there

I usually shop at the Target off Irving & Coors, but was in the vicenitity of this one. Felt it was a total waste of my time. Couldn't find what I was looking for, the higher end products were no where to be found, and what little I did find, quantities were so low. Won't be coming back here
The three stars are for the nice little gal who helped me with a couple of items.

Yet another brilliant employee at Walmart delivered their version of fresh basil today.  Your Employees are worthless. They just pick the most random, incorrect, dead things to deliver to people! Not that the managers pay any attention to what their worthless employees are doing besides talking on their phones. Feel free to comment I'll give you the receipt for this order. Also when I tried to comment on my order on the Walmart website I got this message...

Adding to this review.... this is their version of "boneless,  skinless,  chicken thighs". Yet another disappointment a month after my first review.  I have been buying from other Walmarts and decided to give them a try again... this is what I got,  who ever packaged these rolled them up to look like normal thighs,  then I took them out and this is what they looked liked out of the package, they unrolled flat just like that. There was a ton of skin, fat and bone.  Couldn't even salvage enough meat to feed 5 people and had to go to smith's just to get some quality chicken. Not that Walmart cares, no matter what you do,  who you complain to nothing ever changes.

I ordered one item. Curbside was my only option otherwise I would have gone in to get it. I've been waiting 45 min, still waiting as a matter of fact. For them to bring out 1 item.

It's very well organized, the food aisle is a bit confusing lol have a much bigger and slightly better variety of things. Of course they removed the self checkout. I think it would've been nice if they kept a few self checkouts because those lines are crazy.

Standard WalMart experience. If they want five stars, easy! Train your associates to engage with shoppers with a smile. I walk by several blue vested people and I am invisible. Target offers a better customer service experience, but even they are slipping as of late. WalMart! Find Sam's playbook, dust it off, read a few pages, and you will create a shopping experience that will make your shoppers happy and reduce shoplifting and theft while adding zero cost! It's simple, and yet impossible for you to understand, so it seems.

Went to this Walmart about 9pm last night with my son and his dad to buy jumper cables. Two fully armed security guards at the entrance completely stared us down like we were potential criminals. of course the jumper cables were locked up in the auto part section back of store with everything in that row so we pushed the service button repeatedly above the locked case. For over 20 minutes (no joke) we waited and no one came so we wandered the  store in search of a single employee at one of the busiest shopping times.
Found only one employee very far away. When he followed us back and finally opened the case he would not let us even see or hold the cables/box. He walked all the way to the front of store with them (without us) and passed them off to another employee to hold before we could even get up there. When we got up to the front of store we had to find where and  which employee had them. She still would not give them to us to hold or see even though we were now in the check out area next to her and with other employees and cameras. She went over and SHE scanned it and rang it up  for us! My son's dad was about to then pay and then i finally got a chance to see the cables/box. The box was completely stained all over with some kind of dried liquid all the way through the box. Not something you want on metal parts. The box was totally ripped open on the bottom as well. There was no way it wasnt obvious for the employees to see that but because we were not allowed at any time to see what we were buying the only thing that saved us was that their card machine didnt work either when my son's dad tried to pay for them.
So we waisted over an hour there for nothing and ended up at auto zone who was happy to do business with us and for cheaper price. I absolutely detest this walmart and avoid it whenever possible even though its the closest one to us. its like a damn ghetto place where they treat customers like garbage.

Mobile Screen and Glass

Went in looking for sliding glass door replacement rollers. They didn't have the replacement rollers I needed but they did identify the type and part number I needed. If I had gone somewhere else, I don't think they would have taken the time to help me identify it and help me find a source to purchase. I thought they went above and beyond in helping me find what I needed.  I would recommend this place for window and door hardware and glass needs.

Great people! Friendly and terrifically helpful. I needed to replace a couple of rollers on the bottom of my patio slider screen and the fine folks at Mobile Screen & Glass were fantastic, particularly Amanda and Super Dave. And the company has been in business since the mid-70's so they're doing something right. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is one of the most professional places we have work with in Albuquerque Vincent and Carlos replace one of our windows and they are friendly, efficient professional and so nice. They have a good price on their windows. They are everything you would want if you need a window replaced thank you so much and a big thanks to Mike in the office as well and the other gentlemen. 100 stars for you

Vincent was amazing and very professional and attention to detail. Had 10 windows replaced because of fog. If you want your Windows replaced give them a call and ask for Vincent to install. Very clean and professional to work with.

These people have always been friendly and helpful, all the years I have done business with them. Recently they made me some screens. When I got home, which is a hundred miles away, I found they were 3 inches short. when I took them back in, a month later and told them about the  mismeasurement, they wherever apologetic and immediately got on the job and had me new ones within an hour. We can all make a mistake , the[y did their best to fix it, without question and I appreciate them so much.

Frequent shopper at this location and it is by far the most clean and organized store! The customer service is impeccable they are always asking if I need assistance and I’ve never not found something I was looking for! I think the store manager is very on hands he’s on the floor always conversing with customers and I think he’s a great guy! If you need a clean and kind store to do your shopping, this location is the one to shop at ! Love this store !

The store was so busy, but it was so impressive the management was stepping up and taking care of the rush.  Way to go.  But at the same time, this is to say why can't others learn to work and do a job so management can get their responsibilities done.

UPDATE 8/16/23: I decided to give Walmart another chance and had groceries delivered today. Everything was neatly bagged and the selections were really good. My driver was excellent too. One thing tho…altho Walmart insisted recently over the phone they were still using InstaCart but that isn’t true for Albuquerque, they now use Spark. Good choice!

ORIGINAL POST 8/7/23: I quit using Walmart’s grocery delivery service 2 years ago because the shopper (not delivery driver) didn’t put my groceries in plastic bags, they were strewn all over the delivery car’s trunk (see pic). This order cost $223.00. I was very upset because who knew what had been in that trunk? Also meat products could have leaked onto their lining! This was the shopper’s fault and not with the driver, who ONLY delivered my groceries.

After discussing this with a Walmart spokesperson they weren’t shocked that this happened and would NOT confirm this was against company policy and would NOT guarantee it wouldn’t happen again. This is a very poor representation of how their company respects your groceries and values your safekeeping.

There were 5 ladies standing,  when I arrived  at self check out. One, had to check a price because an item rang up wrong. She took her time coming back. She re joined the group and left us standing there. Shelly, asked if we needed help. She saw me questioning. She is  what Awesome Customer Service is!! Thanks to Shelly, doing a Great Job!!! Better workers are needed,  please train your other workers on respect and friendliness!!

This is a typical Walmart.  Has every single item you can want or need. The store is always busy and still seems quick for the shopper. I like the "one stop shop" aspects of a Walmart. Produce is good too. I do t have reservations about getting f fresh items here if I need them. You can even get a key made or have an oil change while you shop. Very convenient.
