Walmart Supercenter

Love the new remodel, now that it’s finally finished. I used to hate the self checkouts but it’s all I want to use now. Change is not always easy but necessary. There are still lots of jobs available if people will just look for them and nobody sneezing in their hands and touching my groceries before I take them home. Thanks Walmart.

The overall shopping experience at this Walmart absolutely sucks. Not only do the employees follow you around watching your every move, when you ask an associate for assistance with anything they respond with horrible attitudes. I shop here because it's the only Walmart within an hours distance. However I would not recommend shopping at this location, I would recommend you drive to either Lacrosse or Dubuque as it will be a much more pleasant shopping experience.

Since is next to customer service please. Because this big lady is always sitting there listening to every personal problem that customers try to solve, very uncomfortable for customers give personal data/information and this lady is always listening with no shame, sometimes interrupting when the worker is helping your customer too.

When I first walked in I noticed the music it was very nice a calming. I also noticed how clean it was. The store is massive but it’s is easy to find things with the big signs that they have. The workers were very friendly and willing to help. Definitely recommend stoping here!

My husband was there today to return an HP computer he bought yesterday. When purchasing, he clarified with the clerk, he had a 30 day return policy. (no strings attached were mentioned ) Today at the return, the clerk was "crabby" and seemed to take the return personally. She asked four or five times, "What is wrong with it"? --  nothing, it didn't fit my needs and was redundant with my tablet I had already.  Next next her comment was. "you know we can't resell this right?" I am sorry, but I don't believe that is my problem and I am sure it may be on the clearance rack and Walmart will make a nice profit.
I suggest Walmart be a bit kinder, with the new lovely #TJMaxx in Prairie Du Chien offering a wonderful, soft goods and array of specialty foods, Walmart is NO Longer the only retailer in town!!

School of Rock

Mark is an amazing drum instructor. He makes learning fun! We are so lucky he has chosen to share his talent with young musicians. Our son loves him!

My daughter loves working with Chan. He is very professional & patient. She is just starting out & he is so great with her. I would recommend School of Rock to any child wanting to learn an instrument or vocals.

My daughter loves the summer camp! The instructors let the campers collaborate and be creative - from naming their own bands to writing their own songs - this camp is everything a young musician could want. Music is meant to be fun and inspire and create connections - you get that all at School of Rock.

Great staff who are attentive to students and their needs. The adult program is changing and not a fun jam session anymore, and they want you to play the songs they chose for $250 a month. I feel they should be more upfront about this when you sign up.

My kids love School of Rock...my daughter takes Vocal lessons, my son takes guitar lessons, and they both do the performance group. They have learned so much great music, and their confidence has grown so much. They have fun and feel very supported and encouraged by their teachers!

Handyman True Value Hardware

Large store well laid out to find things. Be prepared to have to deal with tools and items in lock up it's the way things are.Help is average at best and attitudes are minimal. They will point in a direction and give an isle number bout as good as it gets. Prices are on the high side on everything so be prepared to shell out dollars on items. The location and size of the store is really all it has going for it. Parking is good and easy to get in and out of. Not a first choice by any means.

Best handyman hardware to come to. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. I called for sizes for my home filter and the worker by the name of Zack R picked up the phone. Not only did he help me, he went above and beyond. He went and looked on the floor for my sizes. He then looked in the back room for my sizes and then called another handyman hardware to check on sizes. Then had them reserve my sizes from their store. I appreciate him and people like him make the store what it is. Thank you Zack R for your help. Will definitely be coming back for my future needs.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The staff walking the isles are very knowledgeable  about the department they are in. Store is clean and plenty of close parking

One of the best hardware stores hands down. Impeccable customer service and unlike home Depot the people that work here actually DIY. So they're great at helping you with your projects

When I don't know what I'm doing they try their best to get me through, or started then go back if necessary. It's the Help center that makes them stand out. Wood cutting can be done at the Washington location. Keys on Lindbergh.

American Rug Laundry

We got the rug back from cleaning and repairing and it still had one rip that had not been repaired. Not hard to imagine as there were many rips that needed stitching. We contacted them and they came the next day, picked up the rug, repaired it and returned it in a timely manner. We are extremely happy with American Rug Laundry and would recommend them to anyone who needs rugs cleaned and/or repaired.

During a time early in Covid, American Rug Laundry was the only business that was providing great customer service at a great value. They were superb. I’ve told everyone about them and look forward to using them again. They cleaned and repaired a very dirty and dog stained carpet. Great work!

American rug laundry showed true pride in their work. We had a really tough problem with animal damage to a rug and feared  it was a total loss. The rug required several soakings to remove the problem, .Mike, the manager in Golden Valley,  really stood by the company’s policy and tackled the issue, making sure that we were completely satisfied .

I have used ARL twice for cleaning (deep cleaning of 8 x 11 shag rug). They are always very professional and pleasant when scheduling, I have spoken with the same person each time. The transport team comes within their communicated time frame and is always very professional. Both times, we have been very satisfied with the cleaning! It would be great if they had an online scheduling/appointment management system, but I am still really happy with the service.

American Rug Laundry did an excellent job cleaning our vintage wool rug. It went from dull and stained to bright and beautiful. They fixed the adhesive on the back at no additional charge. They also expedited the cleaning so we could have it back before Thanksgiving guests arrived. Check out the after and before pictures attached.

I will say we have had mixed feelings about our experience here. My daughter loves her vocal teacher but sometimes she has a different teacher and that was not great. She would get nothing out of her lesson then. Lessons are expensive we cancled a couple of lesson to go out of town and couldn't find a time to reschedule that matched with her teacher, very limited time slots. We were then told the lessons are expired? So we just paid for what exactly?

"SoR is my therapy. The people there are amazing and I can be me without being scared or worry about being judged." - My 12 year old.

Our kiddo's self-esteem and creativity has soared since joining School of Rock. Because of the skills and bravery she picked up at SoR, she was able to perform at her first open-mic outside of the school and her band. The staff are receptive and communicate well and I fully trust that they care very much about the kids they work with. We are grateful that our kid has them for role models, and we're sticking around as long as she asks us to.

School of Rock is a wonderful place for lessons. The instructors are wonderful and my daughter LOVES going.

My kids love School of Rock, so we do, too. The teachers are all wonderful, funny, and talented. The best part: when our kids come home from lessons, they immediately go to our piano or keyboard to play music they just learned.

The instructors and the staff are awesome. They work on songs the students want to learn. The performance aspect of playing in a band is a great experience and gives them confidence in standing up in front of a crowd.

Bathrooms are very dirty. It's hard to find help when you do they say it's not my department.  There shelf's are usually not stocked. The shelf price is usually not the price it rings up at the checkout.  I brought this up with a manager a few months ago.  He actually told me to take a picture of the shelf price. That way, they could change the price at the checkout. So I asked him to repeat what he said. I was shocked and had to make sure I heard him correctly.

I have had good experiences shopping at Walmart they need more associates walking the floors associates are usually friendly and helpful I do not mind the self check out . Most staff are very knowledgeable to where a product is at thank you Walmart for all you do and charities you donate to

Spent 2 hrs picking up groceries. Asked several employees for help with locating product or for getting item down from top shelves.  Employees stated they were busy,Didn't know  or I should ask someone else
. When I finished shopping I went to check out and pay for my items i found long lines at both ends with self checkouts. Half of the other checkouts were taped off and said they were closed. I went into one that had 4 employees standing in front of it talking. One of the ladies said. "We are not opening any registers tonight. You have to self check."
At that point I had had enough. I left the cart sitting there and walked out.
What happened to.opening a register if more than 3 people were waiting?
I went to HyVee and purchased my items. Everyone there was happy to help me.

Put in more self check out lanes. Love doing the work your staff should be doing. Have to locate my own stuff. Have to price check it. Then have to check it out and bag it. Then I may even have to be loss prevention and show you my receipt for my items. What next? Do you need help cleaning the toilets? Sure looks like it.

Also, why are your staff reaching over to the screens and tapping the 5 star review? It has happened to me several times, I have seen others do it and that is just dishonest. Is corporate instructing them to do it?

Just bought $140 worth of stuff and there was only one employee manning a check out lane at a busy time of day. I spotted more than a few handicapped and elderly people who could really use a personal checkout experience. Then there multiple teenage employees watching the us all do self checkout. Seriously? What a horrible position you are putting them in! I will not be back.

Westlake Ace Hardware

Reggie would not take a return, on a couple of PVC fittings because they were from a different Ace location. I asked to speak to a manager, he said he was the manager then told me to get out. Guess that's the best customer service you guys can manage, hang in there.

Westlake Ace is what you expect a neighborhood hardware store to be. Very friendly, professional, and helpful staff, reasonable prices, and they always seem to have what I need. Hard to ask for more, especially when the free parking is right outside and just off the street.

You Need It - They Got It! And they'll go that extra THREE MILES to serve you (including giving you a jump-start if your car goes ☠️!)

I used to go here all the time when I lived near by. I was disappointed in the selection of cleaning supplies. They used to have things that were hard to find. Like formbys & spic & span powder. They're no longer carrying these items

Went in for a saw that says I can pick up today on Ace’s website. I asked an employee for help finding it, he was gone for 2 minutes and said he they didn’t have it. I told him it says I can pick up today if I purchased online, he walked away for another minute to check “the cage”.. why wouldn’t you check that the first time? He again told me he can’t find it and they must not have it.  Won’t go back.

Best hardware stores around,you can always get help,will answer questions and go the extra mile. I miss these stores,wish there was more of them. I went to 2 big box places and wanted keys for my 9 year old grandaughter. She wanted  princess and hello kitty and the gentleman cut them and made her day. I couldnt thank him enough. Ah the good old days of customer service and helpful  employees!

The store is BIG and clean and it’s got a lot of things but you can’t find help to find anything unless you walk all the way back up front of the store and wait in line for the cashier to help you and then he doesn’t always know where anything is, I can recommend this place but hopefully you know exactly where to go in the store and the exact name of the items you’re looking for, otherwise you could walk miles back-and-forth because there is no one else to be had except the cashier.

Carmelita was extremely helpful when I called asking about a warranty repair on my Ego blower.

Rather than just say, "We don't do that" or "Call Ego" she had several suggestions.

Turns out, Ego had given me some bad information by telling me to bring it to Lowes where they provided no help.

The answer is to bring Ego products, and others, for repair to Ready Repair on North Warson Road.

More stores should have nice, caring people like Carmelita working for them!

Good luck trying to get these people to answer their phone. Called three times today to ask about a particular Stihl trimmer, was put on hold three times and finally got someone after waiting ten minutes on the third try. That person was helpful but please try and do better with the phone. Thanks

Great prices, but I arrived at the store right at opening to pick up an order and have something cut to size (a service shown online and confirmed available the day before) and the woman called up to assist me was really unhappy to help, as was any other staff member. Everyone seemed frazzled, bothered, and uninterested. Had I not already bought my items I would have walked out.

Viviano Windows & Door

I had Viviano do two separate jobs for me, first replacing an exterior door and then a few months later replacing three windows and two glass panes in existing windows.

We got off to a poor start when the employee who came to take initial measurements made a mistake that led to an incorrect price quote. Robert called me a few weeks later to apologize for the mistake, explained what had happened, and asked if I was still interested at the correct price. Luckily I had procrastinated on the project!

The crew that did the exterior door was polite and did solid work. I had to touch up the caulking after a heavy rain storm revealed a spot that was missed, but it wasn't a big deal. Based on that experience, I had them come back to replace several windows. I was blown away by the second job, both in terms of the quality of the windows and the quality of the installation.

Overall the company is easy to work with. Their supplier ships on a much faster timeline than some of their competitors, and installation was seamless. I wouldn't hesitate to use Viviano again.

Viviano's is acceptable if you go with every scrap of info you could possibly need. They are zero help with suggestions about the industry they specialize in.

And you better hope you never have an issue. My six week door order went past ten weeks. Viviano's answer was, "sounds like a you problem."

I will not use them ever again.

Edit: As it isn't possible to respond to the business' account, I have to reply here.

My company ordered a door on 07-27-23. Our door finally came in on 10-04-23.  It took about five phone calls to finally find out the manufacturer didn't do the door and we had to wait an additional 4 weeks beyond the 6 that we were told.

Nothing was done to compensate us being 4 extra weeks out or spurring the manufacturer to fix the mistake faster.

We have learned our lesson and will never use a company that is not in their customer's corner.

Living in a 100 year old house, we needed a storm door that would fit our "half round door" (i think thats the right term). These doors are very hard to find so despite living in NY, we ended up ordering from Viviano in MO. The experience has been great in every way possible. Great communication, knowledge, patience, etc. They have also answered questions and offered to replace something free of charge after the fact! Highly recommend.

Shout out to Viviano Windows and Doors.  I bought my windows 20 plus years ago.  I had a problem with a window, called them.  They sent out one of their representatives, he had the window fixed and working and locking in a few minutes.  Such a sigh of relief to have fixed as I'm expecting a grandchild soon and was worried with the window.  Now my worries and stress are gone.  Can't say enough about how grateful I am.  You are truly are an angle and have excellent business/customer satisfaction.
You will always be the ones I come to for any jobs.

We had an excellent experience with Viviano. We needed 8 old windows replaced on our duplex. Viviano gave us a quote competitive with, if not below, the big competitors (window world, window nation), around $6000 . PLUS they were able to do it in a third of the time. From order to install was about 2 months, where other companies were estimating 4-6 months, which would have meant we miss the benefits of the windows through the winter. Plus, we made a verbal agreement with our sales rep about a discount, and the company was willing to honor it even though we had nothing in writing and the rep was no longer with the company by the time install happened. The installers were professional and kind. Highly recommend.
