Shoshoni Yoga Retreat

Had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the retreat hut cabin was great, especially for the price. Clean facilities in such a beautiful wilderness setting. I enjoyed all the activities and the meals were delicious. I would love to go back again sometime!

My first time at Shoshoni was wonderful as it’s truly a unique and charming place to visit. Over the weekend my favorite parts of my yoga retreat included the hatha yoga classes (which were 1.5 hours each inc. meditation led by lovely yoga instructors), evening temple with chanting and meditation, sacred art in the art cabin, and the gorgeous views. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating of my food allergies, and my fellow guests were all very pleasant. My friend and I stayed in a cabin, which was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. I actually ended up having great phone service (T-mobile) so I was able to check in on my family since this was my first time away from my 2 & 4 year olds, but I took a break from technology, otherwise. The itinerary is packed with so many activities that I chose to slow down halfway through my visit and skipped a few things (sadly, didn’t wake up early enough for fire temple) to ensure that I took time for myself to relax in the gorgeous location that is Shoshoni.

Shoshoni is absolutely magical.
Attended an overnight anytime Retreat and had a blast. The schedule is constructed well and offers many options for any visitors taste.
The vegetarian meals were delicious!
The staff goes above and beyond to know each guests name and special needs that may have (physical, dietary, etc).
The family style set up offers many opportunities to get to know the many people that are coming from various walks of life.
Bring appreciate attire to enter the main Temple and ceremonies. Yoga attire is acceptable in all other areas.

Shoshoni and the people there have been such an inspiration. When I found out about their yoga teacher training a week before it started, with no knowledge of Shoshoni/ShambavAnanda past what I could find on the internet, I jumped in given the great reviews and the fact that they appeared to take yoga seriously. I had no idea I would come out the other side changed for the better as a person, better as a practitioner of yoga asanas, and as someone who finds comfort and learning through meditation and mantra (fairly new to me prior). They also prepared me extremely well as a yoga teacher, and the effect the people there have had on me in 3 weeks has been profound and life changing. I learned so much more than I ever expected at a YTT and I see why they get such good reviews. I now see yoga as a way to be a better version of myself (and for my future students) mentally, spiritually, and physically, at a very fundamental level, and not just as a way to stay in shape and be flexible. I said that they take yoga "seriously"- and they do- but always with laughter, plenty of breaks, activities, and always modify/accommodate.

The food is incredible and made by the instructors who are also the staff; it is clearly made fresh and with love. They are also extremely accommodating and helpful, and again just inspiring and wonderful humans to be around and spend time with. The hiking trails nearby are well marked and take you to fantastic vistas, right from the lodge. I didn't have a car and probably hiked more than anyone when I was there, so access is great. Mats, yoga props, bath towels, toiletries, tea/coffee/water/fruit are always available, there's a hot tub and sauna that are well maintained... I can't say anything negative about this place. I have a loving family back home and I missed them terribly, but I was sad to leave Shoshoni. I will be back one day, I hope. If you have the opportunity to do a weekend retreat, or YTT or mediation training here, you should jump at the opportunity. I'm glad I did. ❤️

Shoshoni is my favorite place on Earth! I've been visiting for 12 years on yoga retreats and as a work study student.

The meditation practices keep me coming back, because they are real and authentic. My life is so much better when I meditate and Shoshoni taught me how.

I love the lovingly prepared food, the kind residents and teachers, the beautiful temples filled with sacred art, and the sweet dogs who will hike with you on the trails of the 200-acre property.

Remember a headlamp, snow boots, scarf & mittens, long skirts or dress slacks for temple, and a swim suit for the sauna and hot tub.

Only AT&T has service and there's wi-fi in all the buildings, but do yourself a favor and put your email on out of office, put your phone on airplane mode, and tell loved ones to call the office if they really need to reach you.

This is the perfect place for introverts and highly sensitive people to unwind and turn their attention inside.

The peace I felt here was transcendent!  Thank you for the beautiful experience. The love was palpable!

This is a beautiful traditional Hatha Yoga Center. The fully screened outdoor yoga space is something to be seen. The grounds are surrounded by pine trees which help to create the perfect temperature for practicing yoga. The teachers are caring and welcoming. If you have never tried yoga, give it a try and surround yourself in this wonderful peaceful setting.

As a devotee of Mataji, I love this place. Living so far away I rarely get to visit, but it is always worth the effort. Mataji loved it here and everywhere I am reminded of her.

Time spent with my friends Shayma and Chip is always a great gift (they are wise, patient and humble). Their knowledge and patience seems never ending from the years of study and practice. This is reflected daily in a personal favorite part of any visit - morning and evening Aarti - this is something I always look forward to. It is simply beautiful.

The Yogashakti Mission Center here in Palm Bay, Florida is a wonderful place to come to study yoga. Mataji left this Ashram in wonderful and capable hands. Come and enjoy a class in the lovely pavilion.

Whether you are interested in learning more about meditation, physical health/flexibility, spirituality, vegetarian diet, or selfless service, the Yogashakti Center has something for most everyone. I went there at around 5 in the evening. The idols were covered. They told., the cover will open at 6:30pm. One lady welcomed me by offering one dish full of prasadam (wonderful Indian, like snacks). The water served was little different than normal water. Then one gentleman arrived and spoke with me in English. He told me few things related to the iskon temple in Buenos Aires. There are no Radha Krishna idols. But the other disciples idols. After 6:30 pm, the covers opened and gods idols were visible. It was like the big Dev ghar (puja house in every Indian homes). It was wonderful experience to witness all rituals carried by non Indian personnel. The arti was mix of arti and bhajan . The disciple were enjoying arti in little different way. The way was more exciting bhajan. Although different but it was enjoying. It seems they follow different practices than usual Indian temples. After arti bhajan, they offered me mahaprasadam (one puri with potato bhaji). It was tasty. By the time I ate mahaprasadam, they covered the idols and started washing the temple floor.
It seems, we can not say, it is a temple. It's kind of math or ashram. But most important is enjoying bhajan arti in Buenos Aires... I e. So far from India, is a great feeling.

The food here is a dream come true. Loads of vegan options, so so tasty! The seitan milanesas are the best.

one of the fewest place to meet devotees of lord krishna. It is near to av. cabildo. They have regular bhajans and bhakti sessions. The temple has little shops insidde from where you can buy souvenirs.

Nice chanting good energy and great vegetarian food
