Birkenstock of San Diego - Old Town

I visited the third week of October on a Tuesday. There was one young man associate who was completely helpful and professional in every way possible. Dark hair, around 20, didn't get his name. This is the reason I'm writing this review. If you can get to this Old Town location, go for it. Bravo, customer service.

I highly recommend Rosie !   She was so incredibly helpful and understanding of my needs.  I ended up with two  cute pair of Hartjes that may just be the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had.  Definitely coming back!

I had the best shopping experience here, all thanks to the manager Joseph M., he was very helpful, attentive, funny and knowledgeable about all the shoes and products offered in the store.

I originally visited because I was having joint pain and some slight knee pain on my left leg. I came in knowing I wanted to check my pressure areas and the size of my feet, and I learned that I have been wearing the incorrect size for years. I purchased a pair of Hoka's and some insoles. Be prepared to make an investment for your posture and joints, I spent more than $200, but I haven't had any pain since.

Joe is a remarkable person that I enjoy working with every time that I come to Comfort One Shoes to make a shoe purchase.  He knows the type of shoe that will feel and fit the best on my foot.  All I have to do is give him a direction of what type of style I am looking for and I leave the rest to him.  The next time I see him coming from the the back room he is holding three to four boxes for me to try on.  I always have a great experience shopping here and I always go home with at least one pair of shoes! Thank you for a great customer service experience.

I walked in knowing what I wanted but the Manager Joseph helped me so much I walked out with EXACTLY what I needed and some knowledge of my specific needs that I wouldn’t have gotten if it wasn’t for Joseph’s extensive expertise. If you go inside please find joseph and he will guide you!

Convenient shoe store in Coronado, specially when you are away from home and willing to get some comfortable walking shoes. They do sell Birkenstock and other nice brands. However, I would say that the clerks at the store are not nice nor willing to assist their clients. Sadly, because the last time I was there, two people left because the salesperson was not too helpful with the customers and she never left her place at the counter. I understand we need to keep social distancing, but this was way too much. She was also rude with me. Fortunately, I knew my size and what to get. So, I only ask for my size and pay. Again, I comprehend that Today, we are dealing with a serious pandemic problem. But, because of this people should be more cooperative, polite and friendly. Specially to their customers.

The young woman who helped with my selections, was simply delightful. I really wish that the Coronado store would have had a wider selection of Birks in suede/oiled leather for my big 45 size foot! Because if they would have had just one more color choice in suede, I could have made my purchase there.  Instead I headed back to the store at 5th St in the Gaslamp.  The clerk there was bloody awful. However, their selection of colors was much wider than at the Island store. So I had to just ignore her horrible attitude and purchase the sandals anyway. The only reason for the five star review is because of the wonderful young woman who helped me at the Coronado store! The Gaslamp clerk was trash!!!

I bought shoes here just before the Covid19 I had been looking for this one kind  of Birkenstock shoe I had seen on the doctors I worked with in the hospital this shoe store of all the shoe stores I had been in one in home state of CO. And AZ. No one had them in either state I was on vacation with a friend and I said this  is the last place I am going to look for shoes and they had them in my size. The ladies were wonderful and I wish to Thank them  those shoes saved my life after 16or 18 hour shifts my legs and feet did not fail me. Thank You

I walked in with my wife to buy a pair and were told we have to have masks! The lady at the register was so rude about it too.  We thought we were on a prank show we were so thrown off.  You guys are in a touristy town and are the only place requiring masks outside of CA's now expired mandate.  Even more odd, there was a paying customer at the register who wasn't wearing a mask?  I think the owner of this store should maybe check up on things and train staff on a better approach, or choose a new line of work if this is how things are handled.  We went to about 15+ other stores on the same street and didn't need a mask.  Get it together...you guys left a foul taste in my mouth.

I was anxious to get my first pair of Birkenstocks, however that didn't get to happen today. I was with my 2 small children and upon entering they wanted to check our temperatures which was fine and asked about the kids having masks. My 4 yr. Old had his on but my 1.5 yr. Old didn't have one. They asked that the kids wait outside while I shop. Are you kidding me? I understand that people are being cautious for covid19 I am hyper cautious myself. But there were no other customers in the store and he is a baby. The hospital doesn't even have his age wear a mask. And who in their right mind would leave a 1.5 yr. Old and 4 yr. Old out front of a store alone? I will never go there again. I will buy somewhere else.

Coppel Digital Canada La Villa

They have all those phone products & no stylus pens. Parking is fine, but getting there seems like it's way out in the middle of nowhere, not close to big streets or highways, lots of stop signs. Store is too small for all that stuff they have.

It is a small store and they do not have trained personnel or enough personnel. I mean that the girl or person in the subscription box area is the one who helps make payments or cash withdrawals, but the time I went there was not the girl from subscription boxes another girl from the digital Coppel area attended me and she was not qualified to help me with the cash withdrawal from my Coppel account for this reason I had to transfer it to my other Banamex bank account hai staff need more training I hope they improve

Like all Coppels, everything is always fine, but on this occasion one employee did not want to serve me because the disk was busy waiting for another customer and I observed her and she looked shocked. Not her problems but those people are not a good reference for these stores. They have people prepared to serve the customers. I tried to take a photo and c voltio and every time I go to the store he doesn't even show his face because I told him he's not doing anything and he didn't tend to me he just made his bad face

Bad service from the cashier, I informed him that I had an item that I bought online and he had received the confirmation yesterday that it had arrived, he immediately told me that nothing had arrived without asking anyone and when I showed him the confirmation and he went when he went back Let's see if he had been able to verify it, when he gave it to me I asked for a receipt for the delivery and he told me they didn't give me a receipt to deliver it. Then I asked him how the warranty was and he responded like this "I'm not buying it here, I don't know how the warranty is" yes. You don't like your job, it's not the clients' fault...

Lukas in the Silver Spring store is extremely knowledgeable and understands how to apply the results from your foot analysis to different shoe types/sizes and make specific recommendations. I went just to pick up a pair of shoes for a wedding and ended up with three. It’s a pleasure to walk in my new shoes and I can now see and feel the difference in each. A big thanks to Lukas!

Commend Mr Luke and Mr Grayling at Leisure World Comfort Shoes for their helpfulness and expertise. I don’t think anyone knows more about shoes than Mr Grayling and Luke is learning fast and they both are friendly and want the customer to have a good experience

Took my dad here for Father’s Day to get a pair of supportive Birkenstock sandals! Luke was extremely helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. He made the experience so memorable!

My shopping experience at this particular Comfort One was among the best I've ever had. This all comes down to the associate at the store, Grayling, being unbelievably patient, helpful, and friendly. He took his time making sure my wife found the perfect shoes for her, bringing shoe after shoe out until she was completely satisfied. At no point did we even feel rushed out by him. Seriously. If you need shoes, go see Grayling. Thank you.

Go see Grayling!! The most patient person ever and will make sure you have the best shoe for your foot. He brought out like 7 pairs of shoes for me and explained how each one was for the foot. After examining my feet on the machine, he knew what was best. Wonderful experience!!!

Read before visiting store!!

You have to make an appointment to see Luke.  He arrives early and leaves early.  But, it is well worth it!!  His shop is the only place you can get expert advise and expert work/repairs.  His character is different but, don't let that get in the way of the best service for Birkenstocks anywhere.  I've been using him for 10 years and will continue to use him until he retires.

Luke is a treasure.  I went this morning as I have been having some foot issues and proceeded to receive the most amazing fitting and education about the human foot!  Without me telling him, he was able to describe to me much of what my challenges are and what is causing them.  Luke also gave me some terrific insight into what shoes I should be looking for and volunteered to review all of my existing shoes with me by simply bringing them in.  Luke is only open early in the mornings so please call first to ensure that he is there.  Early morning in Laguna is fabulous as it is relatively quiet and the parking is wide open!  Do yourself a favor and call Luke!

Luke is an extremely knowledgeable man about shoes and even has a workbench in his shop. He gets in at 4am every single day he tells me, but must leave at 11am everyday as well for personal reasons. If you leave a message, he will and does get back to you. It is definitely worth anyone’s time to go see him to get a proper fitting along with a healthy load of shoe wear education 🤓👍🏼

Luke is amazing! He really knows his stuff and will help make sure you leave the store happy and informed. He was so great in helping us find the right size and making sure we were happy with what we were getting. Best birkenstock store ever.

The owner has been doing this for over 30 years.  He is super knowledgable and makes sure you absolutely have the proper fit! You will want to call to confirm store hours as he travels from Santa Monica each day and may also be the reason for the early hours of operation.  I am glad I held out and went to this store vs. trying to buy online.  I would agree with Vice quite the experience...my Dad has been going to this guy for years.

The fitting rooms are clothes I belive there is only one open for women and one open for men, good quality clothes and good price

There is a great lack of staff in each area, they do not help you to choose the clothes, when you are going to measure them and when paying it is very slow because there is only one person in the section area and there are clothes thrown on the floor.

I have hip problems and just got done seeing the doctor and told I can't be walking.  Wanted to just cut through suburbia to go to Walmart and because I have a dairy queen flurry they said I couldn't go in.

Lucha's Comfort Footwear

I bought a pair of sandals for $80 and they broke in two weeks. When I came back to the store to find out more about the shoe company’s exchange or return policy, I was offered absolutely no options, information or help. I was rudely turned away. They clearly don’t care about the quality of the products they sell and don’t care to help if anyone has any issues or questions about their products. Definitely won’t be coming back.

This is the first review I have written but believe that it is necessary because I feel that the service I received was so horrible. My husband bought me shoes for my birthday and gifted them to me on Friday the 21st. I came in to exchange them on the 23rd and was treated very poorly. The manager accused me of them being worn. The only time I put them on was Friday night on the rug when I tried them on. I never wore them around the house or out: The person who sold them to my husband in March (Luis) had written on the receipt that I had until the end of April to exchange them since my husband was hiding them to surprise me for my birthday. When I walked into the store with my daughter, the manager was extremely rude and said that I had worn them. She said i would need to take them to a shoe repair in order for them to accept them back.  I explained that I never did wear them, as i just got them 2 days ago! She then said she wouldn’t let me try on any shoes (I had three in my hand to try on) because they were closing (I was there at 4:17 and the store closed at 5:00). A customer had walked in after me and they helped her try on her selection. She said that she had a family to go home to and to be respectful of that (as if I didn’t have a family to go home to?) she was dismissive and it felt very demeaning. It was shocking: after reading more reviews on yelp, I see that the treatment is not uncommon. The manager of this store is not mindful of the concept of kindness. My husband received the same treatment today when he tried to talk to the salesperson that originally sold him the shoes. Extremely rude and condescending behavior. Don’t shop here unless you plan to never return your shoes. Even though they say you can return items, it’s a lie. Beware of horrible customer service.

I love this store. I also support the brick and mortar stores - buy your shoes here. The shoes I have purchased from Lucha have lasted for years and if I hold on to them they'll come back in style. Also, they told me how to get my sandals resoled. Love this place.

I needed traveling shoes as I was going to Peru despite just haven gotten foot surgery. Gabby knew which shoes were wide and soft enough and would help me walk without pain. One specialty shoe she showed me were for diabetics, AND they were cute!  She listened to my problem and what I wanted and needed and showed me many solutions. She personally and gently and without any sales pressure showed me many choices for my hurt foot. Luchas has some gorgeous European comfortable footwear for hard to fit feet. Love them!  You will certainly find unique and comfortable shoes!
