As a former Installation Compliance Specialist for James Hardie's Siding division, I'm an authority on Best-Practices with respect to proper siding installation. Sensible Home Products really knocked it out of the park. The entire experience was above what I expected and I can't say enough good things about them. The little things matter, every cut, trim piece, and accent. The professionalism and attention to detail that Jeremy and his crew brought to our home were second to none. They were polite, professional and I was impressed with their neatness, knowledge and work ethic. They didn't rush through the job, but made sure everything was done to perfection. Now a little bit about the owner Jeremy. I found working with Jeremy very easy. He sat down with us to review every aspect of the project, explained things in great detail, from the type of siding (he even brought out a sample of what I wanted vs. a sample of what he prefers to use) and benefits of each, right down to the small detail work around existing plugs, hose bibs and vents. Jeremy worked tirelessly to get the project done within our budget. He is honest and reliable. He kept us updated on the progress of the project; even touching base on the weekend. He was patient with our every question (and there were many). If Jeremy felt anything extra had to be done to make the end result perfect, he called us and we discussed our options before moving forward. Thank goodness for his guidance! In need of new siding for our house, we began looking for a reliable contractor. Our search led us to Home Advisor where we found Sensible Home Products. We called and set up a meeting with Jeremy. Jeremy came out to the house to review and discuss what we wanted to do. He listened to our needs and provided a sample of the siding he was recommending for our house. We asked if he did more than just siding since we were also looking for a new front door, bay window, and garage doors. Jeremy provided catalogs and options for us to think about in picking out the doors and windows for our project. Jeremy assured us he would be able to do the entire project in a timely manner. We requested and received a reasonable quote for the amount of work we were looking at getting done and ultimately signed a contract with Jeremy for the work. On the day the project was to begin Jeremy and his crew were there early and worked every day, weather permitting. His crew was very professional and quickly showed that they really knew what they were doing. They showed up early and stayed late when required to get a job done. Each night they took the time to clean up the property and store the materials away for the next day. As the project progressed it became evident that we also needed a new roof. Again, Jeremy explained what he and his crew could do and provided a quote to get the work done. There was never any pressure from Jeremy to do the roof in fact just the opposite since doing the roof would mean he had to reschedule some of his other work to get this done for us. Jeremy did reschedule his work and we got the new roof. Not only did Jeremy show up at the house everyday but he was in constant contact on the phone to make sure the project was going as we had planned. They took a 38 year old house that looked worn and made it look new again, we could not be more pleased. My wife and I walked by a house in our neighborhood for two weeks noting how meticulous the crew was. Our siding project had been on our home improvement list for far too long and I snapped a photo of Sensible Home Product’s sign and gave Jeremy a call. He responded quickly and set up a time to come over to meet us and our house. He didn’t know it at the time, but it was already his “job to lose”. He did not disappoint and only confirmed what we believed was a company that took pride in their work and used high quality materials that would stand up to the test of time in our harsh New England weather. Nu-Face Home Improvements

Jimmy came not long ago to talk to us about the options we had for replacement. We were very happy with the options they had to offer us!! More impressive than Jimmy, the workers that came to perform the work. They showed up around 9AM and were here until around 9PM. I was EXTREMELY impressed with the workmanship and ability to get the job done in ONE DAY!! They worked through the day without delay and were as determined to complete the job as i was to get it done. The momentum on completing the job never stopped and in no way did this dwindle the quality of the install. One thing that also really stood out to me was the organization  of the crew and the tidiness in which the jobs was performed. They even brought in cloth tarps to line the floors fron the entrance door, up the stairs, down the hall, and straight into the bathroom! 10/10 install and am VERY HAPPY with my 2 new bathrooms!! THANK YOU NU-FACE!!

Workmanship outstanding. Fast, friendly crew. Office staff friendly and prompt with rectifying issues.  I feel a supervisor or the sales rep. we dealt with should be on the job site with the contract on day one and walk thru the job with crew or crew supervisor to communicate exactly what will be done. Communication issues with crew and homeowner can be improved. I felt like I had to watch over the job  or the job would not have been completed as agreed upon. The Nu-Face team was excellent! They were responsive, courteous, and followed up with me consistently to ensure the job was being done to my approval. The workers left my property clean and the work looks beautiful. Nu-Face replaced all my property's siding and gutters and I'd definitely recommend Nu-Face to anyone if they want quality work done right and done fast!

From the first phone call we were treated like a good friend! When Jimmy Lemire, he first took the time to make friends with our dog Hilda!! Then took the time to explain everything to us and take what we needed into account (I have trouble walking), and Alfredo and his team that put the tubs in were great as well to the point of pointing out that our pipes were put in backwards! My brother has learning disabilities they took their time in explaining things so he could understand them! I totally enjoyed the experience of working with this company and totally enjoying our two new tubs!

J.T. Burke & Sons has exceeded all my expectations. I had them replace the roof, full construction windows, siding, and gutters. I was extremely impressed with the various crews attention to detail. They work on your house like it is theirs. Reviewing every suggestion with you, and they are some of the hardest workers I have seen. I couldn't have ever imagined my house looking as amazing as it does. They will be my contractor for my future projects.

We are writing this review to tell you about our experience with J.T. Burke & Sons. We hired them to install vinyl siding and gutters. It took a few weeks. It came out better than we ever could of imagined. It looks like a new house. John, Orlando and his crew were very polite and professional. We had asked for something a little out of the norm, but John went outside of his normal supplier to find us exactly what we wanted. He made sure  we were happy along the whole process. His Foreman, Orlando and his crew were awesome. They cleaned up every day, after working a 12 hour day, 6 days a week, in one of the hottest months ever recorded. Both John and Orlando are all about Attention to detail and customer service. It doesn't get any better than them. Even when we pointed out something that we didn't care for or wanted changed, they were very accommodating. We have dealt with other contractors before and they could definitely learn a few things from JT Burke & Sons. We posted a before , during and after photos. What a difference! We just wanted to give you all a big thanks for everything. And "Orlando" you are a true artist and are a master of your trade. We really appreciated you and your hard working and committed crew.

J.T. Burks & Sons did a wonderful job on replacing our roof, gutters and adding sliding to a new space in the back.  Pleasant to work with from beginning to the end. The price was right and I plan to use them in the future on other projects. They completed everything including clean up and dumpster removal within 4 days. Thank You.

Bartlett Brainard Products Co.

This was our 3rd project with Bartlett-Brainard. As we committed to this, their sales person measured the space and took notes. Then a week or so later, their carpenter came out to measure again. “Measure twice, cut once” like school shop classes. They gave us an estimated approximate time to have the sliding door unit manufactured and then their schedule. As the time got closer, I reached out to them and them to me. In the last two weeks, communications increased until the day before installation to confirm our availability. The door was delivered early that morning as we were told, then their carpenters arrived to start working. The job took one day, start to finish. The quality of the work and their professionalism was outstanding. They helped take down a vertical’s curtain and rehung it on completion. They were neat and didn’t leave any construction debris.
Bartlett-Brainard was recommended to us before the first project by previous customers who were also very happy with the work they did. I am happy to do the same thing again.

We had a fantastic experience with Bartlett Brainard.  They were very professional, on time, on budget and provided high quality work.  Screened porch, mudroom/windows, interior doors were all completed by a very experienced and skilled team.  They assigned a client/project manager who was always available and answered every call/question with complete clarity.  You never know who to trust when you solicit this kind of work.  So happy we found a trusting partner for future work in West Hartford.  Highly recommend.

The website says “Window Installations- No matter how large or small your window project might be, we can provide you with the window installation services that your home needs”.

I just called and requested a quote for a singular window installation. A friendly woman answered with “of course we can install a singular window, what size window were you looking to get?”.

When I stated that the window had already been purchased, and we needed installation only, the tone quickly changed and I was told “oh we don’t have time for a singular window unless you purchase the window from us. We’re booked out for months.”

I was a little shocked, given the complete change in direction once it was known that we already had the window purchased. So much for the websites claim on “no matter how large or small your window project might be…”

The funny thing is, we were even willing to pay a premium for install probably more than what Bartlett makes on selling the window.

Oh, and to mention, we are a previous customer of Bartlett (sliding door install). Sad that this is how Bartlett can treat returning customers. We will not be going back, and will no longer be asking Bartlett to quote residing our house for us which we planned on doing in the spring.

The group of 3 represented their company very well, explaining the work to be done.  They were most professional, meticulous, and expert in window and door installation. Prior to leaving the job a review of window and door functions was performed and their clean up outstanding! We will definately use and recommend Bartlett Brainard for our next set of windows in Jan 2024!

Cathy replaced my roof and recently installed two full glass storm doors. Her company also installed gutters with maintenance free guards. It is a pleasure working with her.  Her employees do a fantastic job.  I would recommend Bartlett Brained for any of your home projects.

Peoples Windows and Baths

Fantastic experience with People's windows and baths. After being stood up by several other window companies, a friend recommended I call People's. I called to schedule an appointment and the phone was immediately answered. Sales rep was very polite and knowledgeable. We selected the windows we needed and installation went smoothly. The workmen left the yard spotless and were very respectful. I highly recommend People's for their top notch service across the board.

Great family owned business. I was impressed with the quality of their window presentation so I called them back for a shower install since that was an urgent need.

The window installers are very hard working and focused on their work. I am amazed by the process and their agility as they climb ladders and reinstall the siding on my building after installing the new windows and slider. They worked the whole time on both days with only one break to eat their lunch and replenish their energy on a cold day. I’m impressed with the installers work ethic and kindness.

The project manager stopped by to show me how the windows work and answered my questions. The owner has also been available to answer my questions and explain the product to me. Thank you to everyone during this window installation process. I’m looking forward to using my new windows soon.

This is the third time we have used Peoples Products for window replacements.  From the owner down to the crews, they are top notch.  The crew that came to our home were courteous and hard working.  On the final day of installation there was only one crew member.  He did the rest of the install by himself and stayed until it was dark outside to finish the job, outstanding!!
Good windows are expensive these days but it was the sales staff and the install crews that sold us.  You won't be disappointed if you choose Peoples Products for your new windows.

I cannot say enough good things about this company.  Several years ago I hired this company to clean my gutters and they did a phenomenal job.  When I noticed a leak in the plumbing vent, I contacted them once again.  Not only did Anthony respond to my request quickly, even though I realize it is a small job, but he also repaired it at a reasonable cost too.  When I am ready to replace my roof, I will definitely be contacted them once again.

Neil Jones Home Improvement was great to work with! Fast turn around time between quote and work actually being performed on the house. We had our roof replaced, including 6 skylights, as well as some siding repair work. My home is on quite the hillside too, but that didn’t stop these guys! The work looks great and the team did some great problem solving to figure out solutions to avoid repeating the siding issues I was dealing with.
