Sadly, I won't shop here again. On the plus side, I always had knowledgeable help to find items in the store. However, my experience with their 30 day strict return policy has me at never again.  I tried to return an unused shower light in the original box, with receipt, at 32 days past the sale date. I also had another purchase in hand to make of things I picked up while standing in line to return. I was told it was too late and that they could ask the manager for an exception. Nope, no exception. I said, you told him I was also ready to buy other items. Yep, still no. So I put my items back. No sale that day or in the future. Too bad. I was willing to pay a little more at Ace for good service, but not for dumb business practice. Customer lost.

Friendly people work here.  Very accommodating employees.  This place is great for things that I can't find at Lowe's.  I try not to patronize Home Depot because they support BLM and other communist organizations.  They hate our country.  They hate me and they hate you.  Especially if you are white.  They love to fund the destruction of America.  Fact!

Went there to et a heat gun , I walked up to the service desk to ask where I would find one and the cashier just started checking my other items out as I was trying to ask her about the heat gun a female manager was standing next to the cashier and heard me trying to ask and said nothing to the cashier but followed me out to my car to apologize.  That was nice but I still didn't get the heat gun and I bet the cashier didn't hear about how she cost them a sale either.

High prices, of course. The man servicing the back area on 10/16/23 around 11am was hardly helpful and didn't show any interest in helping me, but the woman at the cash register was extremely polite and helpful, otherwise I would have given 2 star.

Colorado Footwear

I needed a new pair of trail running shoes and they were so helpful!  They have a variety of Merrell shoes including water shoes.  There was a limited selection in my size in stock. I’m grateful for the shoehorn they gave me! It’s saved me from breaking a nail trying to get my new digs on.

Friendly, helpful staff and good selection on a variety of quality shoes.  Great sale on my visit.  50-60% off on the majority of their shoes.

Robin is AMAZING! After tearing my ACL in a skiing accident, Robin so kindly helped me find a pair of flat (and super cute) boots to assist me in walking. She had everything ready to go for my husband to swing by and pick them up. Robin offered to go above and beyond by meeting me at our hotel if I couldn’t come to get the shoes myself. She has the best customer service. I recommend shopping with her!

We stopped in recently while visiting Vail. We were lucky that everything in the store was on sale. We ended up buying two pairs of boots and one pair of shoes. They had a needed size transferred from their other store in no time. Before we left, they waxed one pair of leather boots and sprayed a pair of nubuck boots so they were ready to wear.  I have never had another shoe store provide that service.

I have been a customer for at least 20 years. They have the most current styles of shoes & boots & provide incredibly great customer service. And they carry Naot!!

Staff is very helpful and will seek you out to provide assistance, unlike the HD and Lowe's.

Always great service!  I always come here when I need a tool or hardware. Not always as cheap as Lowes, but I don't have to push a cart halfway across a building the size of a football field.  Ace employees are always knowledgable and helpful. Not so much the other store. Will continue to go there when I need something.

Vail Valley Ace Hardware

They had what I was looking for and also a great selection for a small town hardware store. When I called on the phone to ask about a bucket of drywall mud the fellow didn't even answer the phone saying that it was Ace Hardware. He just said yeah. When I asked four buckets of drywall mud he said yeah I think we sell them in little cans or something. Not great customer service for an Ace Hardware. He finally got somebody on the phone to help me and they were what I expect for an Ace Hardware person.

Great customer service from all the staff, i’ve been in there twice this week. Owner help me find something both times. Best Ace in the country!

Made a trip there for CO2 cartridge for soda maker. The helpful guy there said you have to bring in an empty in order to exchange a new one. Never had an issue at other stores with just buying a new one, paying the deposit and then returning the old ones at a later date. Thanks for the extra drive to town for nothing!

It's not the easiest place to find for an out of towner.  They did have what I needed, and for the same price as my local Ace. Cashier was friendly.

Above and beyond customer service--thank you Kyler and Oscar for helping me to get back on the road!  I've always had good experience at local Ace Hardware stores and this is the kind of care and service that you just can't get from one of the big box stores.  Vail is lucky to have you.

Budget Blinds of Alexandria, Cold Spring and Willmar Lakes Area

I had a great experience working with Michelle Olson and Budget Blinds.  Michelle was easy to work with. She had good ideas for my living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom.  After she placed my order it only took a couple weeks before they arrived.  Her and her hubby installed them and they look fabulous.  I will definitely call her again when I need to update future blinds throughout my house.

Michelle was great to work with, she helped me pick out the perfect color for my shades, I love them. John came and installed them, it was great. /now I can sit back and just enjoy them.

Michelle and John were easy to work with. She provided an estimate at our initial visit, which was half what my local vendor offered. She said the time frame would be 2-3 weeks...spot on. John installed the blinds in an hour and I am pleased with the quality of the product and the owners.

Marv the bike tech is the MAN! I had a few things i wanted done to my bike, and showed him a couple of my pain points.
He talked me out of a stem replacement by adjusting my drop bar, but encouraged me to  spend the extra money on grip tape. 10/10 suggestion-I’ve been very pleased with the performance. I’ll be back for my next tune up!

They have everything you could need for any outdoor activity or sports league. I was there recently to purchase rollerblades and on another occasion golf equipment and both were very successful. Great vibe throughout the store, workers are very helpful and knowledgeable on the things I need help with. I will absolutely be back in the future.

Not from around this area and 1st time visiting Scheels. Very good sporting goods store.  The staff was very friendly and offered to help numerous times. They have a good selection of many different sporting good items. Wish we had Scheels in North Carolina.

1) Needed new shoes in 2022. I knew what I wanted and where to find them. Also needed them that same evening. Went to SCHEELS
2) I like Brooks shoes. Can't find them now. Can't find a salesman either. Look around. Find middle-aged guy sitting down in the back corner. He doesn't want to help.
3) I ask about Brooks Adrenaline shoes. With a big sigh, he takes me to where they are.
4) Points at them using his middle finger facing me. He gets a little grin.
5) Not believing what I just saw. I ignored it. Asked if they had the 2022 Brooks out, or just the 2021's. He again waved his middle finger around at the shoes. This time pausing on each box for emphasis
6) I say ok, I'll try on the 2021's and 2022's just to see.
7) He says he'll be right back. Scratches his nose with his middle finger at me as he goes into the back. He thinks he's being clever.
8) I sit there for a moment and decide to walk out before he returns. I get my fancy running shoes at another store
9) I realized I could have complained to his manager at the time, but figured he would have lied about me and it was more drama and time than it was worth.

Bauer and his crew in the hunting department were beyond disappointing. Brought a gun to trade in and I knew I wasn’t going to get much. After I got the number the unprofessional guy just talked bad about the gun when I was standing right there. I was going to buy a new one at that time but I walked away. Terrible customer service!!!

Big R Of Alamosa

They got a lot of different stuff with a huge clothing section. I have been able to find everything from a dog dish to a dryer outlet here. I love that they have country music blaring in the store.

They have everything you need for home and garden here. Lovely people, helpful and respectful :)

We went here to get a part for a weed eater and my boyfriend asked the guy that was working in that section if the blade is all that we needed do we need any other part or anything with it he said no by the time we got back and were able to put the blade on we need it all kinds of parts the shaft the nut everything so we are very disappointed in it and of course they didn't have what we needed

Not very helpful staff doesn’t seem to care. I guess I get it they are probably all underpaid and overworked who knows…

Ace Hardware of Alamosa

As a long time customer. I often run to Ace when I need hardware. But yesterday (12/9/23) I had AMAZING service. We are setting a modular and needed to seal the foundation (ICF). Struck out at two other business and was preparing to rearrange my day. I doubted they would have anything like I was needing because they are not a lumber yard but I thought I would give it a shot before I drove 2 hours.

When I stepped in, the manager listened to my explanation of what I needed and then called an associate that had more construction experience. The employee took me to where that type of product is kept and then read labels with me until we found what I needed! He then carried the two 5 gallon buckets to the register while I finished shopping then carried them to the car for me. what amazing service! Thank you Ace for truly being the place with the “helpful hardware folks!” Turns out that is not just your slogan!

I would have spent quite a bit of time finding the perfect watering system but an employee quickly asked if I needed help and directed me to what I needed.  And then I was confused by the number of paint products available and another employee made that a simple decision.  The quick and knowledgeable staff made my day.  Thanks for a pleasant shopping experience.  5* stars!

All About Blinds Etc., Inc.

We ordered roller shades and they are beautiful and the app and automation are perfect! We can see out but they are opaque from the outside looking in. Big thanks to the All About Blinds team in helping us pick out the perfect window treatments!

Our experience with All About Blinds  was excellent from start to finish.  Helen is a kind and amazing office coordinator. Tom our sales rep was very helpful and courteous .. and knew when to offer a no-pressure word of advice. Jay our installer was fast - yet precise - and did beautiful work without a speck of mess.  And last - but not least - the blinds and horizontal sliding shade are awesome and just what we needed.

We had shutters installed throughout and absolutely love them! Dave was wonderful every step of the way. The whole staff is really professional and make you feel like you’re the most important customer. They make decision making easier specially when you really don’t know what you want. Had a great experience. Blake does a wonderful job helping us when we have him out to our house to order window treatments. This is our second time. I have checked out other places and it's amazing the difference in prices. And the installer has always done a really good job.
