Wheeler's Ace Hardware

I needed a new barbque grill in January as I grill all throughout the year.  After researching & deciding on a Weber model, I found that Ace Hardware had it priced much lower than everyone else.  However the ONLY Ace Hardware store that Ace’ website would let me order from is 14 miles away from me as supposedly they had it in stock. Closer locations were not available to me.
Well, I called Wheeler Ace & a gentleman answered the phone.  His name is Sean or Shawn, and he identified himself as the store manager.  Long story short, he had only the floor model to sell me.  None in the warehouse & none coming in.  He was gracious with a discount for the floor model, gracious, kind & courteous throughout our many phone calls on a Friday.  In the end, I had to rent a Uhaul trailer to pick it up.  Shawn/Sean made everything go smoothly.  He was so helpful & really excelled at customer service.  The other employee at the location greeted me as he walked by.
The store is spic & span clean and organized.
If you need a hardware store & want to be treated right, Wheeler Ace is your place.

I've been twice to get a key cut. Both times the "employee who does that doesn't come in until Monday"...

Also, the hours suck.

I went in there to purchase an item, two weeks ago and never heard back from any one from the store and still haven't received my item . Tried to reach owner no response back , I'll be reaching out to cooperate!!!!

Nice curb appeal showcasing grilling wares And Wheelbarrows. Apperance of the store is excellent. Customer service was very professional, helpful with each customer.

The customer service is excellent! The associate, not only did he check the back for inventory, he loaded the 60lbs parcel in my car. Plus, he cut keys that actually work! Ace is the place for the helpful hardware man!

North State Millwork Inc

I have installed hundreds of door from different door companies. This door was by far the worse yet. The hinge skrews fall out because they are not long enough, reveals are not even close to being even, had to mortice just about every hinge to make door work correctly. When I reached out to the company they send me Steve Turnage. A very rude rep that turned his back to one of my employees as they were talking to him. When I spoke to him he would talk over me,  not even listening to my issues. Then when i tell him what would be helpful to us installing and a longer lasting door he tells me that they are not going to fix the problems because they will make no money on the doors. He literally told me “ go buy doors from someone else”.   Will never use this company again!

Well everything was great until checkout. A rude girl at the register working next to a very friendly checker. She should watch him and learn how to be a little friendlier.

Had to replace the tub valve due to hard water lockup. A great selection of valves means I knew that the one I needed would be in stock.    Ace was way more helpful than the Orange hardware store.  Thanks to all the helpful associates for making my shopping experience less of a headache.

Ace Hardware of Van Nuys

Most hardware stores in the Valley feel like a zoo of people walking around and a complete mess inside.  However, this ACE is not like that at all.  The store is super clean and well laid out.  There are a TON of friendly, helpful staff.  It always has what I need, and they are kind enough to let me take my dog with me in the store (not a big deal, but it is helpful)

Although the prices are a bit more than places like Home Depot, I don't care because I actually can enjoy the experience at the store vs feeling like I walking around an indoor zoo.

What a relief.  A hardware store that actually has hardware.  I can’t believe how relieved I was to finally find a true hardware store in the Valley.  All of the “home” stores just don’t care about hardware and that’s really sad.  This store is fantastic!  They had the 5/16-24 socket head cap screw I needed and several other choices too.  Love this place.

We love this Ace Hardware for household items and plants even better when there used to be Orchard. Selection is great and you can find pretty much everything you’re looking for. Christmas decorations are fantastic!!!

Super grateful to have this store in the neighborhood as it has pretty much everything you need, but isn't as overwhelming as a Lowes or Home Depot.

Great big facility, but not so much on inventory. I'm a service technician at this location they didn't have a simple thermo coupler needed for a water heater or a pilot light for a wall heater replacement. Again, it was a great building investment, but very limited items...

Maybe next time, right?

It's okay depending on what you need. It's a small place. But they have some cool little pens and things when you're in lme to get to the register.

The team work of the clerks  made my shopping experience great, i.e. efficient and fast.

Good place, good selection, but hard to get someone's help sometimes

If you are in a hurry this holiday season go to coast hardware.

Stopped here many times when fixing up a house and the folks are always friendly and helpful. The only issue is that they close too early even during the week.

It expensive   but.  Have great parts.  And  a great selection

Always a friendly environment – staff & owner. They are always courteous. They are extremely helpful in person or over the phone. I am constantly doing projects and looking for Doohickey’s. These past few months I have noticed  inventory on “new items” have expanded greatly.  Thank you Troy! Oh, and returns are simple to complete. Record of all purchases are kept in their system.

Ace Hardware of Northeast Fresno

Needed assistance in getting a product so I went towards two workers. Grown man and young girl and overheard him telling her his relationship stories and drama which was weird for me and probably weird for the the young worker. He then acted very upset helping me find a product. He continued talking with girl as he was helping me, maybe was suppose to be training her and dealing with him was frustrating because he was not busy and just did not want to spend his time helping a customer. Prices here are also a bit higher than Lowes or Home Depot so Id go there instead anyways.

Never been so disappointed in customer service here until today. Asked an older white gentleman with grayish hair and beard with glasses a simple question asking if they had a metal slim band clamp that would work on a motorcycle exhaust and he replied “well that depends what you’re looking for” in the rudest tone I’ve heard there. Explained to him that it’s for an exhaust and he pointed to an aisle and said “go check hardware cause I don’t know” again in a very rude tone. Asked another younger guy and he was more helplful even though he didn’t really know what was willing to take me to all and not point. I believe the older man’s name was Richard? I could be wrong but he’s easy to point out. Very poor experience

We always find everything we need here and also fun little things we didn't even know we wanted.

The employees here will treat you like you came in to steal something like some theif and then when you get to the register to pay you find out that they are the actual theifs prices threw the damn roof!! U guess when there trying to rip everyone off they assume everyone's else is as well.

Wow, super clean and organized.  Employees (all if them) always asking if I needed help. Easy to find and see items everywhere because it was bright , organized and clean.

Awesome service from Manager Andrew!  He went above and beyond to assist me with obtaining a locally sold out item and shipped it to me.  Excellent customer service!

Great place. Really get that small town feel here.  Associates were  Great help and  store  was stocked pretty good found things home depot didn't carry.

Terrible Hardware Store!  They took a product, specifically Irwin Quikgrip Clamp, that was originally packaged as 2 and sold them individually at a higher price.  I only realized this after going to another Ace and seeing them package together and nearly half the price.  I should have been suspicious seeing the sharpie 12” written on by hand. Not to mention the store is so disorganized and disgusting. I should have walked out the minute I stepped in.  Now I’m stuck with overpriced clamps.

Bought 2 fans and opened one discovered it was garbage and was told no returns on open electronics regardless if they work to your satisfaction. Buyer Beware also extremely sarcastic employee when I called inquiring about the return policy. Stick to Home Depot or Lowe’s

I couldn't bear to live with my wild combination of turquoise and purple wall tiles from the 50s after living in my home 24/7 during the pandemic. I've been curious about Rustoleum Tub & Tile for the past year and I finally took a chance and decided to put in the work and paint my tiles white. Well, I obviously joined a mass of people doing DIY home renovations because this product's in high demand! I couldn't get it on Amazon and when I googled it, Google Shopping listed this location as having it in stock. I called the store and they made me aware that they would be receiving an order in a few days. I left my number for them to contact me when the shipment arrived and like clockwork, they actually called me back! The store has a wonderful variety of goods and it's a local business. I really enjoyed shopping there and speaking with the knowledgeable staff. As for my tiles? I think they came out great! 👍

The guy in the store charged me $15 for "labor" to put a couple of washers and pins on the wheels of my cart. The thing is he didn't ask me if I wanted him to do it or anything, he just started doing it. I just expected to pay for the hardware and leave to do it myself but I thought he was being nice, like the people at autozone who put your windshield wipers on after you buy them. It took all of TWO MINUTES to do. I think what makes me the most upset is that he didn't even stop to think that I could be capable of doing it on my own (I am a petite woman). I put the wheels on the cart myself when I first bought it. It's not hard. Had I known they would pull this stunt I would  have gone elsewhere. If they want to earn money from contracting, there should, at the very least, be an ACTUAL contract involved. Or maybe they could try their hand at freelance work instead of retail. SMDH.

Edit: 3 weeks later and one of the wheels FALLS OFF, vs the year the wheels lasted when I put them on myself. These guys aren't even competent at what they do, SMH.

Old School hardware store. If you need a bolt or nut they probably have it.
Advice: just ask one of the guys up front for what you are looking for, don't waste time trying to find it

Costello's Ace Hardware of Cockeysville

No thank you, very unfriendly staff.  I usually always use the Ellicott City Clarks ACE. Maybe I am spoiled by how friendly, helpful, and accommodating they are at that location.  Was in this area for some other stops I needed and figured I would run in to grab a few things.  Ended up leaving emptyhanded between the experience and the crazy markups on the SAME items other stores sell for 30-40% less.  And yes the SAME item, scan the barcode with the other stores app.  Ill stick to the ACE in Ellicott City.

I decided to paint my kitchen ( I am a beginner & had no idea what I was doing). A friend recommended Ace in Cockeysville  My review is about an employee, Marlene, who really stood out. She patiently answered my questions, was sensitive to my budget, and recommended the supplies I would need. Ten days later, I returned with questions and a need for additional supplies. It was just about 12:00 and the commercial paint side was about to close. Marlene stayed longer to assist me and answer my questions. Thank you, Marlene, for exemplifying good customer service!

I specifically went there to get my propane tank refilled, and I like the fact that I could get my own tank refilled as opposed to Exchanging. Good quick service and they charge you per pound of propane, so if you're only fillingg up half a tank you only get charged for half

They happily took $8,000 from me over a month ago, to setup a pellet stove, they lied about calling and leaving a VM (phone calls are easily tracked these days) and if true they never tried to call again?  Patience costs you money with deceitful people, spend your money elsewhere.

Edit: I pulled up my phone records and no call from them any day or time.  Question is, do they fire the liar or think verizon is against them?

Always have what I need!  Much better service than the big box stores!
