I have been working with Jennifer for less than a year and already feel so much better. She is an outstanding teacher: precise, attentive, and knowledgeable. The one-on-one instruction provides a personalized workout specific to me and my needs.

Anytime Fitness

Living downtown, this is the perfect gym for me. It is in a convenient location and is open 24/7! Along with the cleanliness of the gym and friendliness of the staff, while signing up, I found out they offer personal training. I was hesitant at first but found the best personal trainer! Cavin is so motivational, punctual, and above all truly cares about his clients success with their personal goals. He adapts exercises to make them work to your comfort level, but also challenges you to reach your full potential. You can tell he is passionate about his job and his clients goals. I can’t recommend this location enough along with their knowledgeable personal trainers!

Was in town for Jamfest, but also training for a powerlifting meet. Stayed at Omni and it has a nice fitness center, but it did not have barbells. So I purchased a 3 day pass at anytime. It was a short walk from the Omni which served as a nice warm up for my workout. The staff was very nice and met me in my hotel lobby with the key fob and directions. They said if you call in advance they can even leave the key with the hotel and you can get it upon check in. It was clean, had two rooms, was not crowded, and had all the equipment I needed. Very grateful for how convenient they made it to stay on track with my training plan.

I want to thank Calvin and the rest of the staff for being extremely helpful and for their hospitality. I was recently in Indianapolis  attending a work training conference that lasted 3 weeks. I didn't want to workout a typical hotel gym so I looked around the area for a gym that met my workout needs.  Anytime Fitness was perfect. My walked from the hotel to and from the gym was only 6 minutes.  If anyone is looking to go a gym besides using a hotel I highly recommend Anytime Fitness.

Was in the city for a couple months for an internship and needed a gym close by when I came across Anytime Fitness. I love the atmosphere in the gym. The trainers make it extremely comfortable and make sure everyone feels safe. They are also very nice and welcoming. I also trained with Luke for a couple sessions and he was very sweet and knew a lot about the science behind workouts so he helped me perfect my form and introduced me to new workouts that I swear by now. Overall, I really like the place. Highly Recommend!

Great gym in a great spot downtown. It’s never too crowded which is great if you are going at times when most people go. The staff are always helpful in helping you plan and achieve your goals. Definitely recommend this place.

Body Temple Pilates & Boutique

I was referred to Jen by my mom who had done one on one sessions with other instructors across the country. Jen is competitively priced for the service she offers. It is very apparent that she has a lot of knowledge about the mechanics of the body and knows how to communicate what's going on with your body. For example she instructed me to rotate my leg in to activate my inner thigh and I was shaking from the highlighted weak muscle. I had done this move all my life. But I was not doing it properly. I was finally getting the full benefits of the move! She empowers you to do things at home. Every person should have a Jen in their life. Choosing to invest in your health using Jen's services is the best decision you can make. I am a huge fan and am telling anyone who will listen that they need to meet with Jen!

Body Temple is a space I trust to rewire my body, reduce/remove my pain, get me back into my body, and develop a healthy and stronger relationship with my body again.

Jen is a body healer and is able to guide me out of my head and into my body. I walk out feeling no pain, younger, stronger, and transformed. She using science, Pilates, and her incredible assessment skills and knowledge to unravel my many years of body chaos so that I have the strength and the awareness to life my best life.

My experience was excellent in so many ways. I was very intimidated to start exercising again after struggling with chronic illness and pain, but I found myself gaining confidence so quickly, my pain overall decreasing, and I began to really enjoy exercising again! I certainly recommend at least giving it a go. Jennifer Mapalad is a pro at what she does, and I have benefited from her years of experience in healthcare and instructing.

Body Temple Pilates has changed my life. After waiting too long to try their intro package, I finally made the commitment. Extremely knowledgeable instruction, one on one attention and a beautiful, conveniently located studio.

Jenn, the owner, has transformed my body.  I went from barely being able to walk to pain free.  I am not living on Advil anymore.  Thank you Jenn!

Barre Ripple (previously The Dailey Method)

I'm so glad I found Ellen and Barre Ripple Movement! I started  at Broad Ripple Movement after making the decision to get back into a regular workout routine. I was looking for an activity I enjoyed, but was hesitant to jump into a class-setting. I decided to start with private sessions with Ellen to ease back into working out, and it's been the BEST decision I've made. Ellen and the community at Barre Ripple Movement have been so supportive and encouraging as I've started coming to the studio regularly. The workouts are fantastic as the focus on form and low-impact movements end up having a big impact on your body. We move at a pace that I am comfortable with, while always making progress. To anyone who is nervous about trying barre, private sessions are a great place to start. You will be amazed at the change you see in your body, and how that ends up translating into other areas of your life.

Great workout in a very welcoming and encouraging  environment. The instructors are top-notch and the classes are fun yet challenging in the best way.  If you haven’t tried Barre Ripple yet I’d highly recommend it!

Update: I’ve been coming to barre now for over 8 months and absolutely love the barre45 classes! It’s a great start to the day with Ellen!

Sunday 10:15 class with Jillian was amazing! It was my first time going and I felt so welcomed and supported! The vibe was positive and encouraging!! Jillian has so much energy and is a PRO instructor at really getting your form down and working you hard. I am so grateful I could go to her class and I can’t wait to be sore this week!!!! The place is in a great location, Ellen, the owner, is amazing, and you MUST go!

Barre Ripple has changed my life! The community of women I have met is so amazing and the workout is truly unmatched. Whether I want to get breathless in my workout or if I want a more relaxed, slow pace workout, all the classes leave me feeling satisfied and strong.

I’m so grateful for Barre Ripple. I absolutely love our community. I feel like I get more than I give every class I teach. I just  love watching these ladies work their strong bodies and building supportive friendships. So happy to be here.

Indy City Barbell

Loved this gym! Lots of space & perfect for powerlifting, Olympic lifting  + bodybuilding. One entire room with squat racks & platforms, another room with machines / equipment & some cardio
$15 day pass- very reasonable

Indy City Barbell is the kind of place that will give the result you are looking for. There, you will find an "old school" ambiance where everybody train hard and respect each other. Indy City Barbell is the antithesis of PF or LA F.

Came in for a drop-in, while visiting town.  It's got an old school vibe, and tons of unique equipment.  If things like Pit Shark belt squat, (Westside Barbell) Reverse Hyper, Texas barbells (deadlift and squat) EliteFTS power rack, etc, are your jam...then this is the place you've probably been looking for.  They also have all of your standard machine weights, and carpeted area with a few bikes and an aerodyne for cardio/plyo/etc. Thanks for letting me come by for a workout!

Great gym open all day a bit pricey but if your in the city the free parking is quite worth it.

This is a great gym that fosters a great lifting community. Everyone is friendly and sociable. What sets this gym apart from other gyms downtown is its compound lifting equipment. If you like to deadlift, squat, or bench heavy this is the gym for you. They also have a great selection of weight machines.

Sadly I have to discontinue my membership here due to a personal injury but I hope to be back soon! 💪

Club Pilates

The management and instructors are very uplifting and nice, and maintain the studio well. There are many classes to fit a schedule and needs. Love the cardio class and any classes from Sharon, Vanessa or Taylor (haven’t seen her awhile 😢). Workouts are moderately hard and very refreshing. Coming to the studio is one of my favorite almost-daily routine, and has helped me a lot with posture and health.

The best workout & studio! The instructors are all so helpful and knowledgeable. Jane and Ryan are also so great when they are working up front. They keep the studio so clean and are super helpful with any questions.

I love Club Pilates! I highly recommend to anyone wanting to be more active. The instructors are so welcoming and informative. They accommodate all fitness levels and are excellent at explaining techniques. The studio is clean and inviting and makes me want to come back each day. After only 3 months I can tell my body is stronger. It’s challenging, never boring, and a fantastic workout. If you want to increase your flexibility, strength, bone density and balance then come to Club Pilates!!

As a Black woman I didn’t know what to expect. I recently joined Club Pilates (Mass Ave) and it has been amazing! Everyone I’ve met so far has been friendly, inviting, and informative. I booked a private session just to see what class and levels would fit me best and a young lady named Paige was my instructor. Paige was so pleasant to work with. She explained things to me about how my body was working during the session and showed me how to improve my form to get the most out of the classes. Ryan you have an amazing team and I can’t wait for my next class!!

One of the best choices I've ever made! Being a member of Club Pilates provides me a great way to stick with exercising and being active! The time I spent here is the most enjoyable time in a week when I focus on myself, relax, and feel my improvement.

Everyone is very nice and lovely here. And the class size is no more than 12 people, which basically means the instructor can pay attention to the students and correct our movements if possible. I love the equipment and environment here! They are all clean and well-maintained. Also, I enjoyed the experience of trying classes from different instructors since they all have their own styles of teaching.

Definitely a good investment to yourself! I would recommend to my friends if they are of any extent of interest!

Physique 57 Indianapolis

Alexa is such an awesome instructor!! She is so energetic and always helps correct form. Everyone at the studio is so warm and welcoming as well! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Excellent instructors who provide accommodations which really helped me be successful in completing the work out. Owners are so kind and on-site which is terrific.

Really enjoyed 2 mat classes with Alexa.  Great core workout, and much higher caloric burn than any yoga or pilates class I have ever taken.

Had a great time at Physique 57. I’ve been doing yoga for years and wanted to try pilates, I felt like I worked a lot of muscles I don’t normally get to with my yoga routine. I felt long and lean after just one class. Recommend 👍🏻

Fantastic workout! Instructor Melissa was encouraging and fun and challenged us to be our best. Beautiful studio and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!!

ARC Fitness

This gym has changed my life. Started with a hard convo with myself about being ready for change. Continued with the guidance and expertise of Adam, Jamie, Andrea, and the trainers of ARC. It continues with building habits and pushing myself and I know w this team I’ll keep rolling and getting better 🤝

ARC Fitness has been nothing but a blessing.  I am grateful to have gotten involed with ARC to pursue my weight loss journey.  This is a great gym and community as everyone is wonderful and passionate about helping you reach your goals. I started with the 6 week challenge program and very pleased with the results thus far.  ARC has motivated me in a way that I have not experienced in the past and has built additional confidence as well.

Super great place to workout! Every trainer knows your name literally the day after you sign up and they have a great balance of being friendly while still holding you accountable to show up and get it done (thank you jamie for calling me out for never doing my weigh ins). The money you spend is more than worth the workouts you get and the people you get to meet every time you go! Couldn't ask for a better gym :)

The gym is always a welcoming environment and the space is always kept cleaned. Not just that, but the staff is amazing and my trainer Jaeden helps me feel like I am doing my best during my semi-private sessions.

Everyone is friendly, but especially Jamie and Andrea! They’re the ones who usually help with our progress reports and check ins, to make sure I stay on track. The owner, Adam, lives and breathes the same lifestyle that is encouraged and influenced. His energy is unmatched, he walks in with a smile every time!! Even my son is a big fan and working out with mom has helped his self confidence. Big bonus is seeing their dog Gatsby around!

I would recommend this gym to everyone! I have seen self growth and improvements during my 6 month program and that's what I wanted when I signed up!

Hello I battle with Lupus so I struggle with my weight. At ARC their team is perfect and very attentive to my needs!! I have never felt lighter. They even provide meal prep with a well rounded system!! Adam Jaeden and Jamie are the best at what they do but the whole staff keeps you motivated thru out your visit!!! Don’t take my word for it check them out you won’t regret it!!!!

StretchLab

Shelby was my stretch therapist today and she was so great! She made the process comfortable and enjoyable. Everyone on staff was welcoming as well. If you’re on the fence, just try it after your next race/workout. You’ll absolutely love it!

Can not say enough good things about Downtown Indy StretchLab! The atmosphere is welcoming & the Flexologists are friendly & knowledgeable. My weekly 50 min session is a highlight of my week! Miranda has my issues dialed in & I feel fantastic when I leave. Be good yourself, try it!

Great experience every time. Everyone I have worked with there is fantastic.Delaney does a great job explaining what she was going to do with each stretch. I have been playing a lot of Pickleball so feeling tight and sore. After Delaney stretched me I felt so much better, the tightness was  gone. I enjoy the conversations in the room, just never know what topic will come up, music, sports, weather. Great place to go when you know you need to stretch but not good at doing on your own. Highly recommend.

My first trip to a Stretch Lab.  This was a pleasant experience in a relaxed atmosphere.  I was thankfully there during a slow period of the day, which helped the calm setting.  My therapist Shelby had a good bedside manner and helped me get a good stretch.

Jordyn carefully planned the stretch treatment based on my requests and her knowledge of anatomy. She explained each stretch and was slow and deliberate. She verifies how the stretch is affecting me so I was in control based on how my body felt. I think every guest will enjoy her style and personality!
