Simple and easy check-in. Employees were very nice. Equipment was nice and clean as well as locker room. Bathroom facilities could be a bit cleaner. Any non-working equipment was clearly marked and all machines had clear instructions and were easy to use. Definitely gonna come back.

I agree with what other's have said - quite clean and well maintained. I've never checked-in at a busy time. Staff is friendly. Good selection of equipment. Glad that I joined.

False advertising, they are not 24/5 so don't spend your money here, there’s places that are actually 24/5 like the crunch on Michigan rd only 1 mile away. Stay away from this place.
Edit: owner must not be able to see pictures because the one I posted clearly shows false advertising of it being 24/5. Do you really want to spend your money with a liar? Go elsewhere.

Well, now leaving this location and ending my membership after after years of going! I've had a couple issues with my account and money, but that's not the reason I'm leaving! Actually, the reason I'm leaving is because they switched out the old elliptical machines for new ones, and I hate them! Thought maybe I could just get use to them, gave them a chance, but just don't like them! This is nothing terrible on their part, but that was one of the main things i used at the gym, so it's kind of a big deal to me. Sucks because I live 30 secs away!🤷‍♂️

Great place to work out.  Plenty of machines.  Even when they're busy you can get to any machine you need.  Friendly helpful staff too.

Survival Fitness

The time has come (better late than never) for me to get into better shape. I treated my body like a trash receptacle for far too long and my work out efforts were average at best and it shows. I always despised going to the gym, but I needed accountability and kick in the butt. I signed up for personal training with Survival Fitness and it is best thing I have done. I cannot remember a time when I looked forward to going to the gym. My personal training sessions are with Josh, I am enjoying the challenge, and I am always looking forward to my next session. If Survival Fitness was able to turn this fat guy from hate going to the gym, to looking forward to the next session, I recommend stopping by and take the next step to changing your life.

I went to a trial class this past Sunday and loved my HIIT class with Annie. I’m pretty out of shape and she took the time to help me with modifications so that I was still getting a good workout. I am super excited to come check out the strength classes too! Members were super friendly, staff has been amazing, super responsive and helpful! Covid safe atmosphere. Highly recommend checking them out!

Where was this gym when I was 30!?! I've been going to this gym for a few years. Over the past year I made a commitment to making fitness a lifestyle change. With Josh and his staffs guidance and encouragement, I began lifting weights and saw measurable changes in my body. In fact, I have better muscle tone in my 50s than I have my whole life!  The cardio classes are very challenging but fun! The staff is top notch, the workouts are great, and the other members of the gym have become my friends. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I have been a member for about 8 years.  The quality of training is excellent, and I have really enjoyed the friends I’ve made through the gym.  I could workout anywhere, but it’s the people who keep me coming back!

National Institute for Fitness and Sport - NIFS

The Yoga Flow instructed by Caroline is super awesome class!  I loved the way she teaches it and definitely look forward to attending more of her classes 

Manager guy at front desk killed my desire to workout with his tonality. I'm new to the area and looking for a gym. Tried  out VASA fitness and planet fitness and they are both more friendly, and have a better culture. While this gym has alot of equipment, it's not a good atmosphere. I signed up for a 7 day pass and got haggled about my ID being from NW Indiana. I would imagine there is a lot of lost business by turning away people In a large city just because their ID doesn't say indianapolis on it. Will not be back.

NIFS is a very good gym facility ,close to downtown with multiple fitness engaging group classes and its most helpful for IUPUI students.

One star less for the unsafe bike parking and bike getting stolen is always a concern here at NIFS

If you’re looking for a pool that’s literally never accessible for lap swim this is your place $40 a month will hold down your ability to schedule training sessions two weeks out, not regularly, but if you get lucky here and there you might be able to get a slot. And the assistant director doesn’t even seem to be able to cancel a membership at your request.. thanks Lisa!!   Thumbs down for service…

NIFS: “Not Interested In Fixing Stuff”  In this picture you can see spaces where TWO treadmills used to be.  Well over a year ago these two treadmills broke, NIFS put signs on them saying they would be fixed ASAP. The two machines disappeared never to be seen again. NIFS apparently LIED to members when they said these treadmills would be repaired There is absolutely no excuse  for these treadmills to be out of service for over a year!!!!!  Fix them or get 2 new ones to replace them!! Currently there are now Two more treadmills out of service. It would  not be suprising if these  broke treadmills disappear and never reappear!!!  At the very least, it will probably take them weeks to repair them   Guess NIFS never heard of preventative maintenance for their most used machines,  NIFS, you are pathetic!!!!

Burn Boot Camp

Burn Boot Camp in Carmel, IN is the real deal.  I did 3 days in a row while visiting in Indiana and I had 3 great workouts.  Burn is a universal family of people who want to improve their lives.  Go get your workout in.  You will love it and it will positively change your life.

A fantastic experience! A supportive, fun, safe environment for women and men to workout and reach your fitness goals. The trainers really give it their all to motivate you and help bring out your potential. They have virtual streams for the days you can’t make it to class, and even help with watching the little ones while you work out. Kristen is there to answer your questions and helps accommodate your needs. A MUST TRY! Every class will leave you feeling amazing!! You’ll be hooked.

I recently joined Burn Boot camp, and I can honestly say it's been a life-changing experience! This bootcamp is nothing short of phenomenal. One of the best aspects of Burn Boot camp is the sense of community it fosters. Everyone here is friendly, supportive, and welcoming.

The trainers at Burn Boot camp are top-notch. They are not only highly knowledgeable and skilled but also incredibly motivating. They push you to your limits in a positive and encouraging way, ensuring you get the most out of every session.

The variety of workouts offered is outstanding. Each day is different, which keeps things exciting and prevents monotony. Whether it's high-intensity interval training, strength training, or circuit workouts, every class is designed to target various muscle groups and boost overall fitness. I love how they tailor the exercises to accommodate all fitness levels, so everyone feels included and challenged at their own pace.

Overall, I cannot recommend Burn Boot camp enough. It's a fantastic place to work on your fitness goals while being surrounded by a supportive and inspiring community. If you're looking to challenge yourself, make positive changes in your life, and have a blast doing it, Burn Boot camp is the place to be!

Burn Boot Camp Carmel has such an amazing environment! Everyone is so encouraging no matter the stage of your workout journey you are in. The trainers are very helpful and know exactly when to push you harder. You definitely feel the progress. Not to mention, they have an amazing childwatch program. My three kiddos always look forward to it. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Finished my first week and am loving Burn! Welcoming atmosphere, awesome staff/trainers, and fun group of workout buddies (without the intimidation!)! Childcare room has been wonderful, only way I’m able to take my workouts out of my house. Feels great to have found such a supportive, family friendly gym!

Myriad is truly a family. I’ve been a part of their workout community for nearly 4 years now and they’ve changed how I look at workouts. You’re never alone, you’ll always have a team cheering you on and supporting you, and you will see improvements on your lifestyle/fitness goals. Our coaches are there to make you better and keep you safe. Don’t let being new intimidate you, every class has a wide variety of athletic levels and they genuinely want you to be the best version of yourself. You won’t regret joining, that’s a fact.

Recently re-joined Myriad after living too far away for a few years. So happy to be back.

The Myriad team really cares about everyone who come through their doors. They are extremely thoughtful and intentional about everything they do, and I really, really appreciate that. I’ve been to a handful of CrossFit gyms over the years, and nobody does it like Myriad.

Myriad checks all of the boxes for me when it comes to finding the best gym. Their class schedule is robust (I rely on a calendar / schedule). Their class offerings is robust (go to yoga!). Their staff is friendly and super helpful.

It’s a 10/10 for me.

I joined Myriad during my short time living in Indiana and it is by far one of the best gyms I’ve been a member of. They have a great welcoming and inclusive community and the staff are all nice and knowledgeable. The facilities are also great and there are a variety of different classes to take. I would recommend everyone to try this gym, it really made my time in Indy a good one.

Everyone at Myriad is so welcoming! It really does feel like you’re part of a community. I’ve loved the classes they offer and have greatly enjoyed my experience!

I love Myriad, has been going there for over a year. Love the coaches and their knowledge and attentiveness, community and the camaraderie. Every one is welcoming, inclusive and supportive. Shout out to the 5.30 AM crew! Also, been to a couple boxes in my life Myriad is one of the few that takes warmup and flexibility very seriously to prevent injuries.

Pure Barre

I love this place! I am starting from nothing; I’m not an athlete, loathe working out, and I decided on a whim to try pure barre. Well it has inspired me and changed the trajectory of my life. All of the staff/instructors are so sweet and kind. Everyone is empowering and my confidence has grown so much. The workout is hard but builds so much strength. It’s not an “in your face” brand, everyone is chill. And I am in no way “good” at it but no one notices because everyone is concentrated on their own thing. If you’re in the fence, try foundations. You’ll feel so much better!

This studio is one-of-a-kind! Super welcoming & encouraging environment, knowledgeable & experienced teachers, and kind & thoughtful management/staff that is always working hard behind the scenes to recognize their members and create fun ways to for the community to connect. Bar(re) none, one of the best places to get a workout in Indy!

This is not like other gyms. There is a welcoming and female-friendly atmosphere. It felt like I was working out with friends. I did not feel self-conscious or judged whatsoever, and the instructor was so kind and encouraging. The women are STRONG! and it felt very empowering to be amongst other women doing our best. I have already recommended the class to my friends and sisters, we are hooked!

Top 10 reasons I love Pure Barre:
1) I was warmly accepted and quickly taken under the “wings” of the awesome instructors on day 1!
2) Everyone wants you to do your best & I really appreciate all the instructors showing me how to correct my form and also encouraging me & others throughout class.  I don’t know how but they learn your name & they don’t forget you!😆
3) PB is a great low impact exercise and so it’s a little easier on my joints but no less intense with all the tucking, squeezing, & toning you will do!  I never knew a chair sit could be so hard!
4) The instructors always provide low impact options or ways to challenge yourself.  It’s “your workout” they will tell you.
5) Besides great Pure Barre apparel they have just fun athleisure wear in general.
6) They have pop up events at different breweries and/or fun locations around downtown.
7) They are a philanthropic group as well, supporting different charities.
8) They host fun events in the studio, such as pajama day, bring your bestie to barre day, etc.
9) It such a good feeling to work your whole body!
10) Forming new friendships!

Pure Barre has changed my life! I’ve never been one to motivate myself to work out. PB has made me feel stronger physically and mentally. It is deceivingly difficult, (sometimes) without even breaking a sweat, and it works. Targeting specific muscle groups and having the mind-body connection really works for me. I’ve never felt this toned in my life. I can’t imagine life without it! Also, I’m officially loyal to the Downtown Indy studio. I love the instructors! They are the ones who motivate me to get my butt to the studio each time. Highly recommend any woman to try this workout style!

OneAmerica Tower Fitness Center

A great fitness spot in downtown Indy that uses its space extremely efficiently. Clean, modern facilities from the equipment floor to the group workout room to the locker room. The staff is generous with their time and expertise. I developed a lot of friendships from my many years as a member. Recommended!

Unassuming spot, but they offer daily passes for $15 (I believe) and weekly passes, which is what I opted for, for $25. For such a small & somewhat hidden location, their equipment is top notch. Two well kept squat racks with plenty of weights, benches with a variety of dumbbells ranging up to 100lbs, and plenty of strength & cardio machines. During my trip to Indy this place, which open early in the AM, has been crucial to me.

Not bad for a corporate center hotel style gym only thing I can say is that it needs some general maintenance on some of the machines

This gym has an excellent staff that's very friendly and encouraging. The weights are all taken care of and a great ambience. Briston who is one of the trainers is excellent and very friendly. Great gym!

BODYBAR Pilates - Bee Cave

I am so happy I discovered BODYBAR Pilates, I can not recommend this studio enough. When I initially reached out to their team I was 9-months pregnant. Tina was patient with me and touched base with me after I had my baby. When I was able to work out again, I took my first complimentary class. They have all types of reformer classes: classic, reformer, tower, chair, and more. The studio is bright and clean. I love that they have an unlimited class package, and they also run challenges to keep you motivated. My favorite instructors are Karen, Melissa, and Robin. Definitely check them out!

Were should I begin..As a first time mom looking for the best way to strengthen my body postpartum and find my new balance I stumbled upon BODYBAR Pilates here in Bee Cave.
I have been here since the very first class and over the last 3+ months It has become my favorite place to be and an essential part of my day.

The design of the studio is very modern and minimalistic which is wonderful for helping you relax for your "happy hour". The instructors are AMAZING. Highly recommend Katy, Karen, Hannah, Robin, and Tiffany. I am able to do a different class everyday, no class is the same, EVER. There are different levels of difficulty to choose from and there is always a modification available depending on where your body is that day. They provide a variety of times AM/PM which has made it easier on me as I am navigating through this new life as a mom.

Now the best part of all.. 30 classes in I noticed the biggest shift in my body. During each class you are able to workout almost all muscle groups which enables you to quickly strengthen core, abs, legs, and arms. My clothes fit so much better than they did even before pregnancy and I feel stronger, healthier, lighter and much more defined than ever before. The lower back pain and neck pain that came and went is gone and I am in so satisfied with the results I have seen in such a short time.

If you are looking for a low impact workout option that can also challenge you, look no further. I am so lucky to have found this love for reformer pilates at 25 years old. I can honestly say I can see myself doing this for all the years to come. I am so grateful to the BodyBar team for helping me achieve my health and fitness goals.

I am obsessed with Pilates and this studio.  I 100% recommend BODYBAR Pilates for anyone looking for a fun, challenging and engaging fitness routine.

I have been practicing Pilates for a year now.  Started to address my chronic back pain and manage my stress.  I reached out to BODYBAR because of the variety of classical reformer, tower and chair classes.

I took my free introduction class in April.
I loved the mixed equipment class - reformer and chair.   The variety of equipment resonated with my ADHD need for novelty.   Katy is a great instructor.  She kept  me motivated the entire class and I appreciated her checking in on my form.   I signed up for unlimited classes immediately and have attended a class daily ever since.

I have found a community of 6am workout buddies, enthusiastic and friendly instructors, and supportive, member focused staff.

I tried my first class today and I was really impressed with this lovely studio.  They offer 14 reformers in a large and clean studio.  I feel like they have a great variety of classes to help diversify your workout from intense reformer classes to more gentle classic classes with stretching options.  I love the instructors they’ve brought on board. I signed up after my class. I’m so excited to have Body Bar in the community.  They are also offering discounts now for founding members so it’s a great reasonably priced membership.

The staff and instructors are just the absolute bes! This team is professional and knowledgeable. I feel welcomed as soon as I walk in the door and walk out feeling accomplished. I'm always hesitant to work out in a class-style environment, but the instructors offer advanced options I can take advantage of while staying safe. The reformer class is my favorite because it's a challenge and after 11 classes, I can see and feel a difference.

D1 Training Carmel

Exceptional experience at D1 Fitness! I've attended classes with most the coaches at this point - they rotate based on time of day and day of the week. Everyone has been fantastic, supportive, and willing to meet me at my fitness level as I work toward my goals. The brand-new facility (opened ~May 2023) is extremely clean, creating a positive and motivating environment. The morning classes are conveniently timed to get a workout in before work. Highly recommend!

From the moment I walked in D1 has made me feel like family! The staff/trainers are so welcoming! I wanted a place where I could challenge myself and feel motivated to go. For once I am more motivated then ever to get up early everyday to workout at the place I love. They go through each workout and show you how to do them. They will go around and help you do the workout better! I have met some wonderful people through D1 and so grateful they are close to home!

5 stars easily! As a former D1 athlete, instantly felt like I was back in the weight room with my teammates. Wanted an environment that challenged me & this is it!!

Highly recommend! I have been coming since September and enjoy every workout. All the trainers I’ve had are top notch. They are patient and help you with proper form. Everyone has been very open and welcoming which has really helped me with coming on a consistent basis. Thank you guys

I have been a member of D1 - Carmel for three months now. I feel like I am a member of a close community focused on staying healthy and getting stronger. The trainers go above and beyond to make sure I am doing each activity correctly. Their education and experiences in fitness are outstanding. Every time I am at a workout I learn something new about stretching , weight lifting, or conditioning. I urge you to check out the gym and see what you think.
