BODYBAR Pilates - Downtown Kansas City

Joined BodyBar Pilates KC 7 months ago because I was dealing with back pain for several years and heard Pilates was good for improving core muscles and decrease back pain.
After several classes my back pain started to go away and after almost 100 classes I continue to improve posture and core stability pain free.
The trainers make sure we are doing the right movements, with correct posture, guiding us and providing alternative moves if needed.
My mom visited from Argentina and decided to take some pilates classes, she doesn't speak any english, so she felt uncomfortable at first and after meeting the staff she felt welcomed and had a great time. The trainers made sure she understood the exercises and guided her when needed. Veronica & Kortney Thanks.

Overall: great parking, place is clean, staff is super friendly, trainers are awesome, variety of classes from classic to intense.

I came in for a trial class and loved this studio- it has a parking lot in front which is nice for convenience downtown. The studio itself is very clean, & I loved the motivational sayings on the wall. The staff was friendly and luckily they weren’t pushy like other gyms I’ve tried.

The only downside for me, my hearing is a little bad and the microphone the instructors use was difficult for me to hear at times.

So glad a friend brought me in to try my first class free, because I am full blown addicted!!! It’s a beautiful sparkling clean studio, ample parking in the lot, every single person that works there is super kind and welcoming, and most of all I feel incredible after a class. The instructors are really great about demonstrating how the machines work, explaining exercises, and offering adjustments to make things easier or more challenging depending on your needs and so you don’t feel intimidated. I love how inclusive it is and such an incredible workout that gives results for every body type. The offer different membership options from drop in classes up to unlimited and the app is super easy to find and book classes (and I love that I can add it to my personal calendar). They have well-stocked bathrooms and tons of cute clothes in case you ever need anything. Plus, I love supporting a local woman-owned business!

10/10 recommend coming to Bodybar, if I could give a 6th star I would!
Coming from a lifting background, I was always under the impression that Pilates wasn’t going to be a good enough workout, after one workout my perspective drastically changed. I have now been coming to the studio for about 6 months now and I absolutely love not only the classes but the incredible team that works here. Truly, the only downside to coming to this studio for me is that none of my clothes fit anymore! If you commit yourself you will absolutely see and feel the results!

BODYBAR Pilates has become my second home. Talk about a great studio, phenomenal instructors and amazing classes. The studio is so clean and all classes offer something different. Try the new power tower class if you get the chance, such a great addition to the other reformer classes offered. You won’t be disappointed at the at the “BAR!”

StretchLab

Trace was extremely insightful,  encouraging, and a plethora of information.   He has excellent communication and customer service skills.   I would highly recommend him if you are attempting to restore your health and need a personable professional.  Thank you , Trace!

I had a fabulous intro stretch at Stretch Lab Leawood with Jonah. He was great about walking me through all of the assisted stretches, educating me about each one along the way. The manager, Taylor, also provided great service and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!

I had my 1st one hour stretch with Ashley and wow was it amazing.
Ashley was very attentive to my needs, gathered my historical procedures, and provided a very relaxing feeling for my whole body

This is only my 3rd week and I can see real progress. Colby is effective and knowledgeable. The guidance she provides me for doing my homework is also so valuable. Thanks Colby!

Jonah was wonderful! He was able to diagnose where I needed additional work and gave me tips to use at home. Very clean studio and friendly staff!

Hello Sugar | Crossroads - Brazilian Wax & Sugar Salon

I was booked with Julia & she was simply amazing. I’ve had Brazilians before, but never tried sugar wax. Julia recommended it after seeing my skin/hair type & this girl definitely knows what she’s doing. It was quick, effortless, & the results honestly exceeded my expectations. Needless to say I started a membership & I was pleased to find out Julia works great with her clients in terms of putting the membership on hold or moving around dates, etc. Couldn’t have had a better experience!

Such an amazing experience I had here. I got my service done by Julia and she was so pleasant! Since coming to Kansas City I struggled finding somewhere I would be comfortable getting my sugaring and Hello Sugar is that place to go! Julia made my first time so comfortable and she is so thorough with what she does! 10/10 would recommend!

My esthetician was Kelsey & she was SO welcoming & informative on the entire process of my Brazilian wax throughout the entirety of it. I’m only visiting for the holidays but if I could keep going back to her I would, 10/10 recommend her!

I forgot who I had, but she was so sweet! she made me feel really comfortable and not as nervous as I was when first going in. The service was quick and the pain was I wanna say about a 7.5/10 for me. Highly recommend, it was my first time and i’m definitely going back again!

Dishonest. They informed my wife that there was no startup membership fee and then proceeded to charge her for a “startup” fee, claiming it was taxes. It was only after viewing the receipt that we found out what the erroneous charge was. I would not do business with these people as they are not entirely honest about their business model.
While it’s only $7, I value the principle more than the money.

Sherrie was very personal, she made quick work of what I thought was going to take an hour and a half. She made great conversation and made me feel really comfortable. Sherrie paid great attention to detail. I rebooked another appointment 4 week out with her.

Personally this location is my favorite. I rather drive a little more and have a good experience every time ! The front desk girlies are always so welcoming 👏🏼 Markel is my fav wax specialist & I’ve tried a couple different ones. She’s a pro! Always pain free and makes you very comfortable. I love our conversations! 10/10 ❣️

Kimberly is my go to and she is amazing. However, when our schedules do not align, I see someone else. Roxane was great the other day! Everyone is professional, kind, and quick. The facility is clean and the front desk girls are welcoming.

Very pleased with the service, professionalism and products found at the Stare Line location. Emary has been my go to gal ever since my very first visit. She was super patient with me explaining the entire process and walking me through it. She is fantastic! She’s the only one I will book with!

I love coming here bc everyone is so kind and I ADORE Kimberly!!! She does fantastic work and we always have the best chats when I come in. I’m a professional dancer, so I typically go in before I have longer contracts and they always get me right so I’m show-ready! Will be returning 🤩

I have a wax pass but live out of state and was in need of a wax. I love that I can use my wax pass at any location. I was able to make a same day appointment and was scheduled with Leosha. She was WONDERFUL! I will definitely be scheduling with her if I am ever back in town. She was so kind and explained everything she was doing. It was the least painful wax I’ve ever had!

Kenzie (or Mackenzie) is one of my favorite specialist since coming to the facility. I’ve been proudly coming to the same location for the last 5 years or so and Kenzie has always taken of me. She a perfectionist & she makes me feel very comfortable. Out of five stars, I’d give her 20 stars!

I never write reviews but MacKenzie deserves one to spotlight her great service. Mackenzie is wonderful.  I’ve been going to her for months now for Brazilian wax & arms. She is consistently great!  She’s always sweet & she does an amazing job.  Highly recommend booking your appointment with her.

I've been going to ewc for years now. I've started going to the Leawood location for about a year now and have been going to Sarah! She has been literally the best tech I've ever had. She makes sure you're comfortable and does such a great job. All the staff here is so nice and welcoming!!! Honestly would go out of my way to keep going there!! Recommend this place 1000%%!!

Didn’t hurt, surprised by how little it hurt. I honestly thought, “she didn’t do a good,” because I barely felt it. She did an awesome job. Le'Osha was amazing! It was red after and a little itchy, but I wasn’t bleeding or anything like I have at other places. I have super sensitive skin.

Granted, I just did my eyebrows. I can’t speak for other areas of the body though. Pretty sure I read that you can wax between your cheeks! And I’m not talking about the face. THAT sounds painful. But if that’s your style, this is probably the place to do it.

Beth Anne is amazing. The scheduling process is easy and I'm always in an out quickly. With that said, we still manage to have great conversation while I get my brows done! You won't regret scheduling an appointment at In The Pink.

Going to Beth is like going to see a friend  and there just happens to be a service included. No matter how long it is between my services, we pick back up where we left off. She’s fast yet efficient. The atmosphere is clean, calm relaxing and the conversation adds to that. I don’t trust anybody else but her for my most intimate services. You won’t be disappointed.

Beth Ann was fabulous. There's no time time to be embarrassed or intimidated because she gets right down to business. We had a great conversation throughout the wax and I feel like she could be my new best friend, lol. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and she is very skilled. I will definitely be going back!

Kelsey is amazing. I started going to her for facials before my wedding because of a referral. Now like all of my friends go to Kelsey! She’s friendly, easy to talk to, and totally changed my skincare game. Lexi is a magician! I got my first ever dermaplane facial and now I’m completely addicted. She was so professional and sweet and my skin is absolutely glowing!! 100% recommend.

I have had various personal trainers in the past 10 years. Ray was recommended to me by another trainer due to a knee injury, it took about 30-45 days of exercise rehabilitation. He was knowledgeable and very professional so I decided to continue to work with him.
I am extremely impressed with the results and the amount of energy I began to experience.
He has a very positive personality that makes you feel good all around. I highly recommend Ray to anyone that needs to get in the best possible shape.

I really missed Ray’s classes over the past few months and I am SO SORE after a Total Body Workout. I use ClassPass so try many different group fitness programs and Ray is one of my favorites. The moves are always challenging but doable and appreciate his positive attitude.

I do wish his classes were on classpass still but now I just do drop ins when I need some strength training.

Overall great place for strength training and cardio. His facility is extremely clean! Hard classes with 1:1 attention. His dogs are an added bonus.

Ray is an excellent Corrective Exercise Specialist.  I've had both hips and knees replaced along with brain surgery.  Ray has developed an interesting and effective exercise program over the last 22 months that has gotten me physically stronger and more mobile so that I can live an active lifestyle.

Ray will help you not only achieve your goals, but he will make you love working out. He will literally work with you 24/7. He cares a lot about his clients more than anything else, and during his class, he'd work and help each one of us, one by one. You will no be judged, you will feel empowered and motivated once you talk to him. Ray is my only reason why I decided to go back to the gym, because he's that good with his clients, and his boot camp class is just amazing. Thank you so much for your continued support ! I'd like to take a moment to write about my experience working with Ray O'Kelly. I had come to the point where I knew I needed to make a major change in my fitness routine. I was working out steadily, but not seeing results. I had seen Ray working with his clients, and I noticed his clients changing over time for the better, of course! I started training with Ray, and I found the exercises to be not only functional, but tailored to my personal needs. I soon began to see results, and instead of just using the typical playbook of exercises, Ray really showed his knowledge and love of helping people become fit by creating fun and functional workouts that incorporated balance work as well as weight lifting. I worked with Ray until he moved up to Missouri, but if he was still here, I'd still be working with him! Wow! I’m 56 years old and just let myself get out of shape. I kept getting injured. My ortho doc said I need to work on all over stretching. I’m so glad I went to this location! Da’Vion and AJ are amazing. They are kind, caring and patient. They have changed my life. You must go see them to better your health and body!

Experienced a 15minute stretch from DaVion’s team and it was awesome. Felt relaxed and the team was very nice and made me feel comfortable. Would highly recommend contacting DaVion Price about getting some stretches in! 💪🏼

I attended one of their pop-ups at Pure Barre and it was for sure one of the best stretches I’ve had! Da’Vion, Charles and Jen we so friendly and knowledgeable. I can’t wait for their opening and for me to be able to get on a regular stretch schedule 🩷

I attended a pop-up event where I met Da’Vian, the area manager. My stretch session was very helpful. He was a very good communicator, no high pressure sales, just friendly and excellent service.

Radiant Waxing Lee's Summit

I got a Brazilian from Abbie and she was amazing! It was my first time being waxed, so I was nervous, but she walked me through each step so I knew exactly what was going to happen. She takes her time and does a great job. Will book with her again!

My first time experience here was excellent.  My Aesthetician, Meya, was amazing.  She thoroughly explained every step of the process. There was no pain or discomfort and she had a very customer centric personality. She was so sweet and is great at what she does.  I am in town on business but I will be returning.  The facility was very clean and sanitary.

I got a Brazilian wax done by Abbie and she was AMAZING! She was so nice and made me feel super comfortable. The spa was clean and well kept and Abbie was Very thorough with the wax service! I will 100% be coming back for more!!!

For starters, the aroma is amazing at radiant ! The atmosphere is very positive and bright! Abbie is the girl!  She gets the job done 100% every time! I have never had a bad experience with her although the reality is hair being pulled! She makes the experience overall very enjoyable. I wanna add that Abbie is hilarious so be ready for a good laugh. Don’t pass up radiant wax you will regret it :) !

This was the second time I’ve gotten a brazilian and it was even easier than the first time! Kylee is the best! She makes the experience super comfortable and is very quick! I would recommend her to everyone!
