Hotel Casa Tota

We had a great stay at Hotel Casa Toto.  It was easy to walk to the shops and restaurants of Todos Santos.  The pool is great, the restaurant does a good breakfast and cocktails, and staff were helpful.  Street noise (vehicles + music) late into the night made the rooms facing the street a bit loud (nothing the hotel can do), but any room not facing the street would not have this issue and I'd recommend booking the side/rear-facing rooms, although the balcony view was really nice. The hotel is easy to get to from the south and easy to exit town to the north of you're heading on to La Paz.

Good: nice room, comfortable bed, good shower, good number of outlets, nice small pool (not heated). Fair location.
Not so good; expensive, very slow internet, no dressers nor closets, no safe, breakfast not included and it is expensive in the attached restaurant, toilet paper cannot be flushed, noisy street and noisy bar next to the hotel blasting music, location very far from the beach and even if you make it there the ocean is very rough- did not see even one swimmer there. No TV - some guests would miss it, we did not.
If you like Mexican art galleries and Gringo bars this town is for you. Not much else to do.

Rustic, simple, traditional small town Mexico hotel with noisy nightclub a few doors away. Rooms are bright and spartan with few amenities, but the windows let in the sound... Staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Place is spotless, convenient and has a good breakfast cafe outside. The small swimming pool and roof deck are nice touches on hot days.

Staff was excellent, hotel was overall nice so it’s hard to say this…but we had some issues with our room. The bathroom was covered in mold and it smelled terrible at times, like raw sewage. You could tell the plumbing was weird. They had a stopper for the sink drain to block the smell from there but I think it was coming out of our shower drain. The mold has clearly been tried to be painted over, but that’s not how you get rid of mold. Location is excellent and restaurant was nice.

The Hotel room absolutely stinks. It smells like feces and there was a lizard in our room. We found lizard poop on the floor as well. There were flies in the bathroom and they only gave us two towels. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

Serendipity

An absolutely gorgeous hotel with reasonable prices. The decor is stunning, beautiful landscaping, easy access to the beach, and very clean rooms. Highly recommend and would choose to stay again if we are back in Todos Santos.

An amazing place. Relaxing, tranquil, the location is beautiful. A short walk to a never ending beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and will stay here again. Thank you Sharon for your hospitality!

We had the opportunity to stay here because our Nephew got married in Todos Santos at another hotel! Truly we were the lucky ones because our entire family stayed at the Serendipity! What a wonderful, relaxing, beautiful retreat! Our family - in its entirety- 17 of us- really enjoyed our time there! The morning is just wonderful- Sharon is a special person! Breakfast is something to look forward too everyday!  Sleeping with the sounds of the waves crashing was soo relaxing and the pool with all the beautiful floral was just like being at a Spa all day long.  This place is for anyone looking to escape it all and just stop and relax- also great for group stay!

Spent three nights at Serendipity and had the experience we expected.  Three very peaceful days in a comfortable room and three excellent breakfasts.  It’s a very quiet place, which we like and we could see whales off the coast from our balcony.  Overall, a wonderful experience.

Sharon, a US expat who has been in Todos Santos for over 20 years, was such a wonderful host! She and her late husband designed the beautiful Serendipity and it is truly paradise. Sharon has plenty of stories to share if you'd like to hear and get to know her, but she is also full of recommendations for restaurants, shops, and things to do. She cares about all of her guests having a wonderful, relaxing stay. Also, her two pups are so sweet and friendly!

We stayed in the king room with mountain and ocean view, and it was fantastic! While you can't hear the ocean, it is a quick 10 minute walk down a cleared path, and it's pretty empty so you nearly have a private beach! Keep in mind, this place is for RELAXING! Sharon provides wifi but there is no tv. Bring your favorite book, card or board games and play them on your balcony or down by the pool. The room comes with a mini fridge, water (a dispenser as well as bottles) plates and utensils, but no microwave.

Breakfast is included with your reservation and it's wonderful! Prepared every morning by Betty and Gisela, you have a great assortment of options for a very filling breakfast, served by the pool with a view of the ocean, and wonderful instrumental music playing with a cool breeze.

Something else of note if you are considering staying here - rent a car (but for the love of God, not Fox/EuropCar). The closest eateries would be a 20 minute walk, but you aren't even in town. Having a car to go back and forth really made our trip convenient. I recommend going to a store to grab snacks and any beverages to keep in your room since there is no onsite restaurant or vending machines.

Bottom line - if you are looking for privacy, serenity, to dis-connect, and a slower pace, stay here. I can't say it enough - my partner and I had the best 4 nights here, and we would go back again in a heartbeat!!!!

Alegria Suites Centro Historico y Playa La Poza

Checking out today after over 10 days. Disappointed I split my time between two hotels because I don’t want to leave. Happy, the manager, is super responsive if you need anything (and went way out of her way to accommodate the needs of another guest) but I had everything I needed. My room faced the courtyard which was perfect, quiet with a distant view of the sea. The rooms facing the road have a bit more noticeable that my friends said was only an issue on a busy weekend night when she had her terrace door open. I am surprised there are not more reviews. I will be back!!!

We were planning to stay in Todos Santos at the Alegria Hotel for 2 days. But we were so overwhelmed by the comfort and beauty of the place that we decided to spend our entire time there! The color and natural beauty of the  architecture fed your eyes. Every area displayed character.  The bed proved very comfortable!   Beautiful view. It felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back!

“Alegria” the name says it all “joy” we stayed there last week when we went to Mexico. Staying there was the highlight of our trip. We were mesmerized by the uniqueness of the place. Was the most Beautiful-place we stayed at. Rooms were super clean and roomy and cozy. Even fast internet. They thought of everything to make the guests feel like home. It was such a joy staying there. Was very hard to go back home. Recommend everyone to visit Todos Santos. Great food, great people, beautiful beaches, lots of art and history. Would definitely go back there and stay at Alegria. Wished could leave there.

Our feelings about our stay were mixed. The room itself was gorgeous and the bed was super comfy. It's also in a great location. But the INSIDE noise was the loudest we've ever experienced- and we have both lived and stayed in city apartments most of our lives so we are not exaggerating.

We booked a room on the backside of the building thinking it would be quieter away from the street, however our room was also located right by the gated entrance (which we didn't realize and wasn't mentioned on their site) so we could hear every guest enter and leave the building as their voices echoed through the walls. Every time the padlocked gate was opened and closed it was super loud and woke us up. We were also woken up at 7am by maintenance work one morning.

The service was a little more basic than we were expecting, and we had requested to speak to the owner about the noise but were never put in touch with her. We were offered another room towards the end of our stay but by that point we only had a couple more nights left and didn't want to move all of our belongings again.

I would recommend the hotel for location, aesthetic and comfort but not if you want a peaceful stay.

Top of my list ,beautiful hotel that looks like an art gallery and little museum. If you are visiting south Cabo do not miss to visit the beautiful town of Todos Santos only 1 hour away from the Cabo San Lucas and La Paz and stay at Alegria Suites . I have visited many countries and see all kind of hotels . Alegria Suites is the best on my list , the owners are both artist and architect and have done a beautiful job by creating a pleasant and comfortable setting and supper service . Right in the center of town and close to all shops, art galleries and restaurants . I can’t wait to go back and stay there in April . Todos Santos Boutique Hotel

an absolute dream oasis in the middle of the desert 

Most amazing place with the best service, best food, best location. Impressed with the unique hand painted walls in each rooms. In love with the marble in the bathrooms, that bar design as well as the swimming pool area. I would definitely stay there if I go back to Todos Santos.

Wow! What an amazing place. Little gem in the heart of Todos Santos. The food is the best food I’ve experienced anywhere in Baja. The bar is beautiful with a very impressive selection of drinks. Make sure you head up to the terrace in the evening for drinks and snacks

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite Todos Santos boutique Hotel during my visit to Todos Santos Hotel. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and refinement. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is truly exceptional.

The rooms at Todos Santos Boutique Hotel are nothing short of luxurious. Every aspect of the design exudes comfort and sophistication, from the plush bedding to the sleek furnishings. The stunning views of the city skyline from my room were simply breathtaking, adding an extra layer of magic to my stay.

Exceptional property. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The bar is incredible. The food and service were outstanding. I will definitely come back !

Perro Surfero Hotel

Stayed at Perro for 6 nights with my large family group (10 adults and two young children).  Wonderful time...  simple but creative and clean rooms.  Eclectic architecture; upstairs workspace and open air kitchen are so useful!  Mao and staff were warm, welcoming and helpful.  Easy drive to town, Esquina down the block is a treasure for breakfast and lunch.  I noticed several single women travelers staying; it's great if you are alone or with a group!

Perro Surfero is a great value hotel. For what you pay, the rooms, service and location are a great deal. Everyone's very friendly, including the guests. It's not on a scenic street but once you enter the hotel grounds you're immediately transported into a chill welcoming environment. Highly recommended for travellers on a bit of a budget and/or who need to get some work done. Wifi signal and speed is good throughout. Rooms are simple but ample in size (I had room 9), with a nice private balcony and good light. My only negative comment would be the pool - more like a plunge pool. But better than nothing. And the price was very reasonable.

Perry Surfero is definitely a hidden gem just a short walk from the main streets of Todos Santos. I recently spent 15 nights there and wished I could have stayed longer but I will return again, soon! Mao is the best host, full of knowledge on all the best things to see and do but more importantly, he has created a very unique environment at his 9 room boutique hotel. Rooms are quite minimal (and no TV) but have everything one could possibly need. The communal kitchen is the ideal place for not only preparing your own meals but having the opportunity to meet other guests from various parts of the world.
Lastly - the ice bath! Mao and his friend Jorge were my coach/cheerleader and I was able to accomplish something way outside my comfort level.
Such a unique property, I cannot recommend it enough.

I stayed at the Perro Surfero in tandem with the Todos Santos Writer's Workshop, and it was the perfect setup/location. My second-story room was clean, had a spectacular view (corner room, number 9), and perfect for my needs. It's small-town Mexico, so expect some noise (dogs/roosters & the hotel playlist if music is on!) but other than that, the vibe is peaceful. The kitchen is a nice perk. Take in the sun, the surf, the food, etc. that Todos Santos has to offer, as well as all the activities that the staff at Perro Surfero can help arrange. I loved this location outside the city center but an easy walk (a mile maybe?) if you choose to go in. Carla, Alex and Mao were all wonderful staff/hosts. I plan to return...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Perro Surfero. The establishment is not only stunning but also consistently spotless. My room was incredibly spacious, providing ample room for work, and the reliable internet made it an ideal co-working space. Additionally, Perro Surfero boasts a spacious communal kitchen with large fridges, perfect for shared use. The common chill-out spaces provide a relaxed atmosphere, enhancing the overall communal experience.

The amenities, including a gym, pool, and charming terraces for sunset viewing, added to the overall experience. The frequent ice baths were so much fun to experience. The staff; Carla, Alexandra and the owner Maurizio, were welcoming, attentive, and infused the stay with a delightful sense of care and fun.

It is located at a short walking distance from the centre and few minutes down the road there is a beautiful path in nature that takes you to the beach. I loved my sunset walks :)

I highly recommend this exceptional place.

Vista Tortuga

It’s a very comfortable and clean accommodation and just a walk over the dune to the beach. We’ve stayed multiple times here with kids. We actually rented a separate casita for our two teenagers and they loved it. In a great and very safe residential neighborhood, 5-7 minutes from downtown Todos Santos.

We rented the entire compound with friends for a wedding - it’s amazing. Rooms are lovely and each unique, pool is fab with a nice lounging are. Rooftop grilling and chill is superb and easy beach access (not swimmable tho). Easy access to some local eateries (shakti bowl, 5 tacos and a beer etc) perfect place to come with friends and family.

Guaycura Boutique Hotel Beach Club & Spa

What a lovely boutique hotel experience.  Fantastic staff, great amenities, bilingual employees.  The rooftop pool is quaint and luxurious.  Rooms are restored to modern standards and the canopy bed was a fantastic touch.  Don't miss out on the beach club. A cabana was VERY affordable and it was a great place to relax and drink a few.  The hotel is walking distance to everything but the beach club.  Parking is on the street but we never worried about the car. There is a small star working in the lobby that was delightful.

Nice hotel in the historic downtown area. Room was nice, the tv/cable didn’t work but other than that, the hotel was quiet and safe feeling.

To be clear, this is not a modern, mega resort, it's an old building in a beautiful old coastal town in the Baja. We stayed in a deluxe room for one night and it was quaint, clean, and comfortable. You do get some road noise because you are in the heart of the town.
The beach access is a couple of kilometers away and is beautiful which gives this hotel the best of both worlds… in town near shops and restaurants, and a beach resort.
The Sky lounge on the roof of the hotel has amazing cocktails, good food and provides a unique view of Todos Santos.

We had a lovely experience at this hotel. We booked 2 rooms, near each other. The staff was very kind and worked to make our experience pleasant. The breakfast was surprisingly exceptional. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered the avocado toast, the croque madame and the chilaquiles. We will definitely book here on our next visit.

Two recommendations:
1. heat the pool for the colder season.
2. Change the pump above room 205 for a quieter one. It woke my wife up both mornings.

There are some very charming things about this hotel but I wouldn’t say the positive outweighs the negative unfortunately. There is excessive street noise from the rooms. I had to wear ear plugs and play loud rain sounds from my phone in order to sleep. I asked to switch to a room further from a Main Street and the only option would cost more. The front desk took my reservation on a Thurs for the beach club for Saturday. As I was walking out the door Saturday the front desk stopped me to tell me the beach club was closed for New Years. Same person who took the reservation whom I had walked past multiple times in the days between and wasn’t apologetic. I understand making an error but they could have told me at any point so I could make other plans. Definitely not a 5 star experience.

La Bohemia Baja

We loved our stay at La Bohemia. We were greeted by Denise, who was exceptionally nice and made great recommendations for things to see and do in Todos Santos. The location of the hotel was great and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast at the hotel was delicious. Denise helped us book a reservation at the nearby El Faro Beach Club, which is definitely worth checking out. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Thanks Denise and the rest of the hotel staff!

A shame to write less than 5 stars but I’ll break it down for anyone interested!

One star for the beautiful design of the building and rooms, bathrooms, comfortable robes/towels.
A second star for the amenities; excellent breakfast included, beach accessories, on-demand bar, and access to El Faro beach club.
A third star for the above-and-beyond communications from hotel manager. I felt so clear about check-in and about getting any other information.

Remove one star for the first sleepless night due to the dogs/motors going all night (we arrived on a holiday, not sure if that was related to all the car/motorcycle activity, given this is not a big town.) The neighborhood is very rustic compared to the chic charm of the hotel. So keep this in mind for the experience you’re prepared to have.

Remove one star for finding a bed bug on our sheets on our last day. So far we didn’t find any other bugs on our stuff and hoping it was just a one-off 🤞🏻

We enjoyed the intimacy of this hotel, meeting other travelers and relaxing on the hotel grounds in the morning or early evening. It’s a little oasis. But I’m not sure we would come back to this exact spot in the future.

Conveniently located and walkable to the main downtown area of Todos Santos, this hotel is an absolute dream! The whole place gives the feeling of having been created with love. From the beautifully appointed rooms, to the palapa and peaceful pool area, to the beyond delicious complimentary homemade breakfast, I never wanted to leave. We loved coming back here to rest and recharge during the day and really enjoyed the bar area.

A lovely hotel (even more fantastic than the pics online!) in a great location - we enjoyed daily walks to town and a wonderful breakfast each morning provided by the hotel. The staff is delightful and provided many excellent recommendations. The only true downfall was the noise level due to the neighbors pack of dogs across the street. Unfortunately they howled and barked nonstop which woke us up about 3-4 times each night. I don’t think there’s much the hotel can do about this as it’s out of their control. Other than that, it was truly incredible!

Absolutely stunning!!! Best place to stay at in Todos Santos by far. Rooms are fantastic, beds are a cloud to sleep on and amenities are the coolest in all Baja!! Service and the staff were absolutely wonderful!

The Vibe B&B Urban Living In Todos Santos

This place has it all. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. Karen was very friendly and showed us all the best locations to check out in Todos when we arrived. She provided a map and circled some important and interesting landmarks for us. The property itself is tucked away on a quieter street, but only blocks away from all the action. Rooms are great size and the kitchenette was fully stocked with any and all dishes we may have needed. We ended up showing up on a Tuesday night and everyone had checked out the night before, so Karen provided us with a FREE room upgrade, which was very much appreciated. The hammock in the backyard/patio area is very nice and comfortable. Overall I can't think of anything negative to say about this place. Would definitely stay again. They also have 3 bicycles available to use free of charge if you want to rip around the town. If you are looking for a place in Todos, look no further.  The rooms themselves have a very modern feel, and are quite sizeable as well.  Shower is also very nice, and an added bonus to our stay.

Beautiful place that is either brand new or was totally remodeled. Really nice suite, that includes economy kitchen with full sized fridge, pans and basic utensils. A two burner stove in in the kitchen as well so you could cook a basic meal. Nice little sitting area and an open bedroom and bathroom. Modern fixtures and wall art.

A continental breakfast is included and there is purified water in your room and you can access more if needed off the kitchen. Secured front gate and a nicely appointed common area to sit and relax a bit. They are very clear about no kids or pets.

A/C in the room and a ceiling fan.  More details as our stay continues but I wanted to be the first to review!

Update: we had a great stay and there were really only two drawbacks, first the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty and it’s pretty loud when there are other guests around. I heard someone’s phone vibrating in the next room kind of loud.

For those who know: like an aibnb, but with delicious breakfast, your place cleaned, extremely well located, and Lola, an amazing elegant host. Don't hesitate. Elegant value  and perfect vibes.

New great apartments with special vibe. And peek a boo ocean view and breeze. Great location. Well run boutique apartments. With free bike rentals.

Beautiful rooms, and no puns intended but a very cool vibe, almost hipster 😊
Air conditioning, internet were both good as well

Hotel Maria Bonita

For one night this place was good for me. It is an older hotel but my room was clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. Only complaint was I had the corner room and in the morning all the street sound came barreling through which started around 5am with cars and tourist buses traveling through town. Other than that Daniella and Marisol (receptionists and housekeepers) did everything they could to make my one night stay great! The bathroom look for the most part. It was a bit antiquated and could use a face lift with paint peeling and all but again older hotel. The location was great because just had to roll my bags down the hill 4 blocks to the bus stop for my shuttle ride to San Jose Del Cabo airport. I was two blocks away from all the site seeing spots and great restaurants. Hotel California was very close and again about two blocks. I would definitely recommend this place in a pinch and price was not bad at all. I DID have running hot water and took a nice hot shower the evening I checked in and one in the morning before I left. Plenty of pressure and hot water was my experience. Towels were not all rough either like some hotels. Room was very spacious and I had a king size bed. The air conditioner worked GREAT! I felt safe too which was another thing that I liked. They lock the gates up in the evening after 10pm when the receptionist leaves and I DID have access to WiFi in my room but probably because I was so close to their reception office. All the rooms including the reception office are upstairs above the pharmacy. Hope this helps folks and there were several American and Canadian Tourists staying there the 1 day/night I was there. Everyone was pleasant.

this place does the job. for less than half the price than the rest of Todos. I don't understand why people don't like it. Solid room, amazing location, colorful design, AC, great people helping you, great WIFI, hot water, shampoo, soap, quiet, easy peasy decision. Do it.

A cute and little hotel. All rooms are located upstairs. Staff was very nice, but cannot speak English. Clean room. Comfy beds. Location is within a few minutes walk to everywhere in the centre.

I have never seen an office space converted to a hotel room. Price is not bad, service is fine, but having  move the door to enter the bathroom is ridiculous. Far too small.

Nice service, the staff is always there to help you! Big room, the bed is a bit hard but you do not come here to sleep lol
