Visiting Angels

Our caregivers with Visiting Angels were truly angels. My 96 year old friend, Jim, wanted to live at home as independently as he could with a little help from his caregivers, Amy and William. They were both extremely reliable and helpful. They enjoyed spending time with Jim, and made him feel like he mattered. Amy cared for Jim for 3 1/2 years and William for two years until Jim's passing in August. Jim considered them family. They brought him great joy and peace of mind.  The Teeman's (owner's of visiting angels)  made Jim's needs a priority in his care plan. The whole administrative staff was so helpful even adding VA benefits to their care plan team so Jim could have more hours with his visiting angels. I am so appreciative for their compassionate, and consistent care. I highly recommend Visiting Angels.

I've been working in home health for 15 years, I recently started working for Visiting Angels and have to say it's the best company I've worked for. I am able to work as much or as little as I want. Jason and Kierra are both amazing bosses and I have the utmost respect for them both. Such an amazing company to work for!

Visiting Angels is a wonderful place to work! The office staff remains professional and always communicates effectively. There are always open shifts to pick up and they are flexible with making adjustments when needed. I love the fact that the clients refer to us as "angels" because we ARE angels in their eyes. This motivates me to provide the best care possible! The company also incentivizes us with the angel badge program where we can earn additional money for our dedication to our clients. We have been with Visiting Angels for two years now and have had a great experience. Terri, who is with my Mom most of the time, is absolutely amazing. She is very caring and gentle with her and makes sure my Mom has everything that she needs. Terri goes above and beyond expectations every day that she spends with my Mom. She is committed to being the best caregiver possible and we are so fortunate to have her. I know my Mom is in the best of hands and that is a blessing to both of us. I honestly don’t know what we do without her. It is so reassuring to have someone that I know cares about my Mom as much as I do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts❤️

Superior Fit Body LLC - Personal Training, In Home Training and Online Training

I have had various personal trainers in the past 10 years. Ray was recommended to me by another trainer due to a knee injury, it took about 30-45 days of exercise rehabilitation. He was knowledgeable and very professional so I decided to continue to work with him.
I am extremely impressed with the results and the amount of energy I began to experience.
He has a very positive personality that makes you feel good all around. I highly recommend Ray to anyone that needs to get in the best possible shape.

I really missed Ray’s classes over the past few months and I am SO SORE after a Total Body Workout. I use ClassPass so try many different group fitness programs and Ray is one of my favorites. The moves are always challenging but doable and appreciate his positive attitude.

I do wish his classes were on classpass still but now I just do drop ins when I need some strength training.

Overall great place for strength training and cardio. His facility is extremely clean! Hard classes with 1:1 attention. His dogs are an added bonus.

Ray is an excellent Corrective Exercise Specialist.  I've had both hips and knees replaced along with brain surgery.  Ray has developed an interesting and effective exercise program over the last 22 months that has gotten me physically stronger and more mobile so that I can live an active lifestyle.

Ray will help you not only achieve your goals, but he will make you love working out. He will literally work with you 24/7. He cares a lot about his clients more than anything else, and during his class, he'd work and help each one of us, one by one. You will no be judged, you will feel empowered and motivated once you talk to him. Ray is my only reason why I decided to go back to the gym, because he's that good with his clients, and his boot camp class is just amazing. Thank you so much for your continued support ! I'd like to take a moment to write about my experience working with Ray O'Kelly. I had come to the point where I knew I needed to make a major change in my fitness routine. I was working out steadily, but not seeing results. I had seen Ray working with his clients, and I noticed his clients changing over time for the better, of course! I started training with Ray, and I found the exercises to be not only functional, but tailored to my personal needs. I soon began to see results, and instead of just using the typical playbook of exercises, Ray really showed his knowledge and love of helping people become fit by creating fun and functional workouts that incorporated balance work as well as weight lifting. I worked with Ray until he moved up to Missouri, but if he was still here, I'd still be working with him! I thank him for getting me hooked on weight training, which ultimately benefits my health and wellbeing. Thank you, Ray! You are missed!

Aplomb Martial Arts Liberty

60 year old man, never done martial arts before, and having a blast at Aplomb.  I wanted to have another self defense tool at my disposal, but quickly found out how inflexible and out of shape I really am.  The classes are very organized, Sensei Daniel pushes me but understands an individual's limitation.  He has the perfect balance of praising and coaching.  Looking forward to each class.

Sensei Matt is a caring and compassionate teacher of martial arts. My 7-year-old daughter looks forward to coming to every class! He connects with each student in a way where it's fun to learn new skills. I couldn't be happier that we found this place and with watching her become  more confident in self-defense.

This place is awesome.  I'm 35 years old and joined the dojo almost 6 months ago.  It has been great.  I have got in much better shape, become more flexible, and formed a passion for the martial arts.  I advise anyone that's at all interested to go try a free intro class.

Highly recommended. I see a real difference with my 7 and 9 year old boys. Sensei Matt is very professional and a good role model.

We have just started classes for our 8 year old son and he is loving it! I think this will be great for him working on his focusing skills and i am really excited to see how this benefits him in school.

I come to the store when business hours say they are open till 8pm, currently 7pm as of now. They should be accountable to their business hours if they are posting publicly or fire the employees that can’t run the right business hours.

I order some iron pills from them a month ago and they said I should have it within 5 business days but it never came so I called the guy at the store he said the address was something different from what me and my nephew initially said so it was reordered but I'm still freaking waiting. I do not like the guy at the store nor how GNC conducts business.

This place is not open. It's 1pm on Monday 8/19/19. I have been told this problem was a thing of the past as this always happens at this store. Please get someone that can open the store on time. I will be calling corporate again! And start doing business online, as I can't get to my local store and they be open anyway.

My go-to shop for all my vitamins. Staff is fairly helpful & will give you good suggestions. Your best bet to save on things, is to get the gold-perks rewards & stack points on your purchases.

Used to go to GNC more, years ago for vitamins & supplements. Hadn't been in several years; the stores seem smaller with more of a focus on protein powders & not near the selection of vitamins & health products that I remember in the past. I guess they sell what's popular with todays consumers.

AKKA Karate USA - Independence

My 9 year old son has been attending AKKA for about a month and loves it. Besides the formal training, he is learning very important life lessons: self-discipline, perseverance and confidence to name a few. In a matter of weeks, I have watched my son step outside of his comfort zone and grow in the process while having fun. As a parent this is amazing to watch unfold.     Mr. Burt and his team of instructors are AMAZING! They are all very professional, great with kids and wonderful role models for their students. I highly recommend AKKA!

My 3.5 year old loves being a Kenpo Tiger!

Seeing him grow over the past month has brought me so much joy too. My child has big energy and starting his karate journey is already growing his character!

The teachers are encouraging AND hold the children accountable, which I love! So many programs lack the integrity that AKKA Karate USA has.

The flexibility of the program is fantastic! If you're on the fence about starting your kiddo somewhere, then I challenge you to just start today. Besides, (if you see this in December) karate will go further than a soon to be forgotten toy.

I definitely enjoy watching my child participate in AKKA.  He enjoys it and I get joy watching him. Mr Harris is an amazing teacher and My son absolutely  loves adores him. We have made this a 3x weekly thing.

My name is Rudy and I’m 51 years old and I just started my journey to becoming a black belt in June 2023. What a great experience I’m having. Not only is it a great way to get exercise but it’s amazing to learn the martial arts. I’ve always wanted to learn it and wish I started a long time ago. The AKKA instructors are amazing. They are firm but very patient with their students. The way they are with the students are one of the reasons I choose the AKKA ORGANIZATION. I look forward to the challenges ahead in earning my black belt.

Nice store lots to pick from but the worst place to work for, if your looking for a part time job or any job do not work for this company forgot to say the people will approve things then call higher ups and telling them to write people up

Does anybody work here anymore? Or are there new hours? It’s always closed when I come.

We were the only customers in the place and the help stayed behind the counter on her phone the duration of our visit. We had to take the product to her for questions each time.

Stretch Zone

Stretch zone is Amazing, I have sciatica, they do stretches on me that I couldn’t possibly do myself that has made my life a lot better. Everyone there is personable and very helpful. I totally recommend them to keep you stretched out.

They lock you in for 3 months for hundreds of dollars whether you are getting anything out of it or not. The staff is nice but it's not as they advertise, you're not just laying there. it's like going to the eye doctor when you're guessing what number you see. Complained to the manager and was told 'o well' basically. Dont waste your time and money. Actual PT would be better if you're looking for relief

Wonderful, I feel so much better this is my new favorite stretching place.

Had a very good experience! Israel did a great job explaining what the stretching entailed.  Even though this was my first visit,  I felt so much better when I left. Can't wait to see what continued visits do for me!

If you have back pain or stiffness in your legs or shoulders. Then you want to go in for at least the free visit. I tried yoga and massages and a chiropractor and none of it helped me this helped me a lot. It is not cheap but it is worth it.

StretchLab

As a former dancer, I've always cherished flexibility, but life took me away from regular stretching. StretchLab has been a game-changer! Their tailored approach rejuvenated my hips and back. Special thanks to AJ and Da’vion for an exceptional demo. Eagerly anticipating the opening – this place is a must-try for anyone seeking a flexible and revitalized body!

Wow! I’m 56 years old and just let myself get out of shape. I kept getting injured. My ortho doc said I need to work on all over stretching. I’m so glad I went to this location! Da’Vion and AJ are amazing. They are kind, caring and patient. They have changed my life. You must go see them to better your health and body!

Experienced a 15minute stretch from DaVion’s team and it was awesome. Felt relaxed and the team was very nice and made me feel comfortable. Would highly recommend contacting DaVion Price about getting some stretches in! 💪🏼

I attended one of their pop-ups at Pure Barre and it was for sure one of the best stretches I’ve had! Da’Vion, Charles and Jen we so friendly and knowledgeable. I can’t wait for their opening and for me to be able to get on a regular stretch schedule 🩷

I attended a pop-up event where I met Da’Vian, the area manager. My stretch session was very helpful. He was a very good communicator, no high pressure sales, just friendly and excellent service.

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

Went to America’s Best in Lees Summit yesterday. I expected a long wait and to have to pay full price for getting my damaged glasses replaced, but Chris waited on me quickly, checked my file and to my surprise, I had purchased the damage warranty when I bought them 9 months ago! She was very polite and patient with an old blind geezer like me , and she was extremely helpful. She made my day! I don’t use Google in my phone, but Chis made such an impression on me, I had to borrow my wife’s phone to post what a fantastic employee she is.

I'm uninsured, so the fact that I can get two custom pairs of glasses WITH an eye exam for less than the price of an annual vision insurance premium, is astounding. Even after a mistake was made, the management took ownership and swiftly resolved the matter with a smile.

If you still hope to have stores with actual humans in them in the future, then go ahead and give these guys some love. For the price and service, it is really unbeatable.

This place has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I went to order contacts and was rudely helped by a woman at the front desk. When asking her the price of a 2 pack vs a 6 pack of contacts her answer was “cheaper than the other one” ok jaw dropped then so I asked for a manager she then said she was the manager. Ok so I kept composure and continued my order buying the 6pack because they were actually cheaper in the long haul. After rudely putting in my order she said it would take up to 96 days to arrive because a shortage. I placed any way knowing she was just detouring me to purchase and they shipped today… It’s sad that there person over the hospitality(customer service team) has no respect for the company,

This was my first time going to this location since living in Raytown. I had an amazing experience. The staff is very polite and helpful. I also enjoyed Dr. Sukaromya. She was very informative and compassionate. Asha made my day. 🤗 She was very pleasant and made picking out my frames and purchasing my glasses a breeze.

I wasn't impressed by the customer service there. Check-in took forever because nobody came over to help. After my exam, I had to wait for assistance because two employees were more concerned about their own glasses then helping me. I stood behind them waiting for one of them to notice me and they didn't do a thing. I pray my glasses come out right. They are bifocals and the girl assisting me didn't know what she was doing.  Not impressed at all.

Aging In Place LLC

The owner and husband are not honest people. The husband is a woman abuser verbally and emotionally. I would not recommend anyone work here or use their services. There is no real HR to handle matters of importance. They send people who have never been in the field before to care for clients without orientation and or training. Be ware of letting this company care for your family

I personally have not had to use this place but a dear friend of mine has and has been overcharged every single invoice (bi-weekly). They blame the software that they use, but, a person has to enter that information. I think this place is scamming our seniors and I think it's wrong. Please do your research before hiring this place to care for your loved one.

Danika and Dorothy at Solctice in Lee's summit are Blessings. They are angels to my mother and I am so grateful for these 2 women.

They are totally friendly. Mark was exceptional with my dad. The va allowed my dad 8 hours a week for bath aide and  other stuff that needed to be done. Like vacuuming sweeping mopping laundry going to the grocery store. One time my dad needed to go to the va downtown k.c. and Mark took him and my mother. There is an extra charge for that because va doesn’t pay for it.  You could call him and he would return your calls as soon as he could if he wasn’t available when you called. You could also text him and he would respond as soon as he could. The office staff was great they returned your phone calls promptly if they weren’t available. You could text them and get a response as soon as they were able. Usually Mark and the office staff were pretty quick on getting back to you, if they were unavailable at the time you called or texted. I really can’t say enough about this company I would highly recommend them for your in home care.

My 89 year old Dad is beyond pleased with Aging In Place.
So am I.
Cooking, cleaning, laundry, ect. is just a bonus.
The real happiness is the bond my Dad now has with his caregiver.
They talk like they have known each other for years.
My dad now has a smile on his face and his favorite thing to talk about is his caregiver all day every day.
He says "Look how clean this house is" every time I see him.
His mood and his energy level has increased far beyond what I expected.
Loneliness is cruel and Kiara has made my Dad's life charmed.
