Personal Mobility

My wife had an accident and we needed a lift installed on our stairs.  After investigating and comparing all other options and getting quotes, Personal Mobility seemed the most cost efficient.  I was actually surprised at how inexpensively I could have one installed.  Their communication and follow up has been outstanding.  After a year we've been able to have them remove the lift and buy back at a rebate to us.  I was very happy with this service and wanted to recommend them to others in a time of need.

Bought a super high quality pre-used van from Gerry and I couldn't be happier. Great service, very pleasant and extremely professional. They go that extra mile so you won't have to. I highly recommend this place.

Friendly and willing to work with you to meet your needs. Rentals and vehicles to own they have a great inventory.  I purchased a wheelchair van for my dad and we both love it. I purchased a Dodge grand caravan with rear entry manual ramp. Works great!

I use a power wheelchair and have driven a modified van from my chair since 2009. I got a new wheelchair (Permobil F3) in December 2019, and I needed an EZ lock bracket installed on its base as well as the docking brackets (driver and passenger side) in my van moved so that I could start driving my van using my new wheelchair instead of having to transfer to my old wheelchair (which had an EZ lock on it).

I got a quote for around $1,500 from the monopoly Mobility Works in Plainfield, IL, and it seemed rather high. They also said that the final price might even be a few hundred higher if they had to put in more labor repositioning my van’s docking stations. Additionally, they took over an hour to get me the quote and they tried to sell me a new van in the process! I have had poor experiences with their company in the past.

EZ lock also gave me the contact info for Personal Mobility in Champaign. I called and spoke to the manager, Gary. He gave me a quote for about half the price, and he calculated the quote in under a minute while I was still on the phone with him. I happily chose to set up an appointment with Personal Mobility. It is located about an hour and fifteen minutes south of me.

Upon arriving, Gary and his assistant Bridget were incredibly courteous and professional. I was provided an alternate power chair to transfer to while mine was being worked on. They supervised my transfer in case I needed help. They bought me lunch since the visit ran through the lunch hour. THIS IS HOW CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TREATED. Bridget provided me with an extra drink when mine ran out.

They ran into some difficulties and even though the lock held my chair in, both Gary and the technician (I’m so sorry that I didn’t catch his name) didn’t feel right about the level of safety it provided. Apologizing profusely, the manager requested that I come back the following week so they could redo the job differently to ensure my safety.

I returned one week later to the same friendly, professional, and courteous treatment. Bridget ensured my transfer to an alternate chair went safely and she picked up lunch for me when it became evident I would again be there over the lunch hour. She was very knowledgeable about several disability topics when I asked her for information. I have been to offices where the doctor or services are decent but the receptionist is awful, and the whole office and customers suffer for it. Pleasantly, this office is not like that at all. Bridget was very busy with endless phone calls coming in, which were handled professionally and courteously, and yet she made sure that I was taken care of during my long wait as well. Her compassion and friendly demeanor made my experience more comfortable. She was definitely an asset into making my two-visit ordeal so pleasant.

The technician who did the actual work installing the bracket on my chair and moving my van docking stations was phenomenal as well. He didn’t want to “hurry up, get the job done, and move on to the next customer”, which is an impression I have gotten at other facilities. He questioned me extensively and made sure that my positioning was not just adequate, but was exactly what I wanted and needed before he repositioned the bases in my van. He took a lot of time making sure it was what I needed. I appreciated him greatly.

The manager Gary was a great guy. He made me feel like I was a priority and a valued customer. And for the first time in quite a while I did NOT feel taken advantage of. People with medical needs already have huge expenses for equipment to help maintain their independence. Sadly it seems as though companies that provide these much-needed services are few and far apart. It seems as though the big chains, such as Mobility Works, know that they are the ONLY choice in the area - so they have little motivation to provide competitive, fair prices or customer services. Personal Mobility, on the other hand, was such a pleasant and appreciated surprise. I will recommend them to anyone. The drive is worth it, and I will be a customer for life.

We could not have asked to be treated any better.  They were concerned with every side of the installation and that we were happy with the lift.  It has been a life-savor when it comes to taking the wheel chair in and out of the van.  I have recommended United Access to several people.  We would buy again from United Access.

Always been taken care of at this place. The staff was very helpful with my mom who has recently became disabled. It means alot to have people who care when going through such a tough time for a family. I really appreciate their efforts and understanding.

My mother is 91 and really needs her power chair for daily activity. The staff at Griffin worked quickly to get her chair repaired and back to her. All at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Team Adaptive Medical

I was having a really difficult time assisting my mother with her daily bathing routine so I contacted Team Adaptive in hopes they could help me. I called in and a very sweet girl named Kim helped me out. She was very patient with me and went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. With her help I was able to purchase my mother a bath lift.This thing has made our lives a million times easier. Dealing with my mother getting older has taken a toll on me but I am glad that I found Team adaptive to accommodate her needs and to make things easier on me. They will have our future business and I cant thank them enough.

We purchased a lift chair for my sis in law. The staff was very knowledgeable of their products. The prices were reasonable and competitive with other companies. I am a very satisfied customer! They will get more of my business and I will refer people to Team Adaptive

Very slow and getting your parts . They tell you 3 to 5 days it's still no parts and will call back. If you have a choice find some one to help you.  All the rebuttals on my poster faster than the company is . But they had no problem taking my money Today is 5 days no phone call no  After I get my scooter back. I will find a new company to work with. After 2 weeks they completed what they told me they were gonna do. What you would think they would charge the batteries And clean the scooter up a little bit. The part listed For $ 384 .00  A charge me $ 556.00 . This Is how they care take care of their elderly hopefully I will never have to go backTo them I will try to find another company that will take care Of the senior citizens.

Had a Harmar AL100 Scooter lift installed.  Great customer service skills. Very honest, reliable, and timely.  Informed me every step of the way.  Overall a great company with top of the line products.  This company will get all my business in the future.  Great JOB !!

Came from out of state with 1 flat tire on my manual wheelchair and they wouldn't put it on for free. They charge $95 for an hour, which this tire took 5 minutes in the parking lot with the wrong tool. Buy the tires and tube from here and go to a bike shop where they've always installed them for me for FREE.

I used Care Plus Mobility to assist some of the elderly with running errands  in my grandmothers neighborhood. The owner  was very professional and friendly. She was able to get me booked with a van in a timely fashion for a great rate!!. The driver was safe and also customer friendly. Would definitely recommend Care Plus!!

Worst Transportation services Ever!! Punctuality isn't there best asset, neither is Communication.  My family member was late several times to appointments. Leaving only 15 to 20 minutes of Doctor's appointments. And at times being Turned away. Needing to Reschedule. No apologies were given.

My husband is a disabled Vietnam Veteran.   He recently suffered a stroke and we were trying to find a vehicle that would meet his needs.  I called Total Mobility and talked to Chad Edwards. I can't express just how grateful I am to these wonderful people. From the first phone call to handing the key over at the end of my rental they all were so nice and helpful. The reservation lady I talked with explained the cost and worked quickly with me to ensure I could get the van for the time I needed. The team at the Hurricane office were outstanding. The receptionist made the experience pleasurable and as smooth as possible. The gentleman who explained the lock down features for the wheelchair and exactly how the ramp worked was not only personable but very detailed in his explanation. I have been working with Chad for about a year now and could not be more satisfied with him and the staff.  He always go above and beyond to strive to make every need and concern one may have a successful transition, always coming up with creative ideas in adaptability.  They recently helped with the conversion of a GMC Sierra for a power wheelchair and everything worked out very smooth.  I would like to say thank you to everyone.

United Access (formerly Ability Center)

Joseph Spallino, Salesperson, was very polite and knowledgeable about all the products. He was so knowledgeable that I put my trust in him and upgraded my hand control system and I'm over the moon glad I did.  The workmanship was very neat and tucked away as to preserve the luxurious look of the car. Very pleased with the work. I would recommend them to a friend.

Service technician Jason Morelli is hands-down the BEST!  Not only did he offer to make a house visit the same day, but he walked me through each diagnostic test he performed on my father’s VA-supplied scooter.  He tested charging voltage of the charger, voltage after surface charge removed of the old and new batteries, checked continuity in the system, and voltage drop under load.  He didn’t talk down to me and patiently answered all my questions about charging the scooter, aftermarket chargers, and the scooter’s batteries.  He did what a different mobility company in Vegas has failed to do time and time again.  He actually fixed the scooter!!  Jason was so personable, pleasant, and came prepared with all the equipment he needed to complete the repair then and there! It’s a huge relief knowing that the scooter won’t break down again at a medical appointment … so glad that I won’t have to push my father and the scooter in free-wheel mode back to the van during a heatwave again.

If you have any mobility needs, United Access is definitely the place to call!

We have had a wonderful pleasure renting with Ability Center since March 2019. All the staff is professional and very nice and thoughtful and Charmaine is our RockStar! She always makes me feel so valued when we call for rentals with great conversation and mainly remembering my name and they have better rental pricing than other places... we checked. So now that we’ve officially moved to Vegas this past June it’s time to purchase a van for my brother and working with Bob has been great, keeping us up to date to locate us a good van at a good price, waiting for it to arrive this week and we wouldn’t choose anywhere else but Ability Center.

Being a Polio survivor from the 1950s I have dealt with many handicap accessible companies, and Las Vegas Ability Center blows them all away!
They have been my go to for years for hand controls, power chair and truck and trailer lifts.
Now we recently purchased a conversion van and eye level power chair which totally gave me my independence back! 👏
They meet all your needs and have the very best top notch staff which includes everyone in the office and the whole service department!
Everyone is great at working to find out and getting you just what you need and then taking the time to make it work to fit your individual needs!
You don’t always find this kind of care and knowledge!!   And we are totally blessed by having this staff!!💖

I have been dealing with these guys for 40 years and they have always been friendly considerate and respectful they know their job well thank you for getting my van back to working order

I have had (2) sets of hand controls installed here as well as a wheelchair lift installed in my van.  These guys did a great job .  Its not cheap, but cheap places in this business do not exist . Only reason for 4 stars is sometimes they can be a little slow to return calls.

My son was in a car accident, which left him a Quadriplegic. He lost so much, but Mobility Plus in Salem gave him back a lot of independence. Clay worked with Logan and got his car set -up just right so he could drive again. I am so very Thankful for everyone there , they truly care about their customers.

When my husband became handicapped, and we needed a accessible van, I turned to Mobility Plus.  They even drove the van to the hospital so my husband could try it out before being released.  Easy process in purchasing.
Then when my husband passed away and I no longer needed the van, I again turned to Mobility Plus.  They were able to sell the van for me at a great price and again it was a very easy process.
I highly recommend them for all your mobility needs.

The staff at Total Mobility are exceptional. Tara is very patient and caters to the customer's scheduling needs with promtness and professionalism. Charlie is just about the friendliest salesman on earth, and has the patience to answer endless questions (which is bound to happen with adapted vehicles). He is polite but also a straight shooter. I highly recommend having a dealership that both, sells you the vehicle as well as handling modification and adaption issues in-house ...(I made the mistake on a previous modified vehicle, by not doing that). Bob is a thorough mechanic, and sees to needs if you address concerns with him. Cudos! ...the lobby took some getting used to, as it has just about the largest collection of taxidermy mounts.

We had TMS install two chair rails, and Charlie, our rep, made everything very easy for us. The prices were very reasonable, and Charlie was quick to respond with any questions or issues we had. We'll be in the middle of another construction project, we'll definitely be calling TMS again!

By far the best handicap equipment company near the Pittsburgh area! The staff and personal attention to clients is what makes them stand apart!

We have dealt with this Total Mobility and Charlie Santa for many years for wheelchair conversions for our son. They are very professional yet at the same time you feel a personal touch when dealing with them. They provide a great quality product and work with you on any issues that might arise and do their best to get you exactly what you need. Phone calls are always returned promptly. I only have good things to say about Total Mobility and their staff and would recommend them highly.
