Walmart

Walmart Express isn't a smaller or faster Walmart store, it's an upscale version with groceries, goods, produce , electronics, deli, etc. VERY good experience. BTW, Americans shouldn't think "department store" but more like a really nice Fred Meyer.

It is an extraordinary spot. If it's to go shopping the prices are great! When exiting the store you will view one part of the city's well preserved sites: Mérida's history. Besides being short on staff the cashiers do a great job in maintaining the flow; preventing the long waits.

Great place to one stop shop for clothes and foods and health supplies and household stuff. Convenient location and good parking

Found a great supermarket with a wide range of options, from clothing to food and alcohol. My only concern was the lack of chairs for the cashiers. Overall, a good shopping experience!

I find this Walmart to be the best of the supermarkets in the centro area. It is clean, has the lower chance of buying an inedible product and has self service to avoid somehow being involved in any injustice an employee feels for being forced to provide a service for money. In the last few weeks I purchased chocolates which were mouldy, and whilst opening a 6 pack of drinks that had been placed on a shelf without being separated properly, an employee flew around a corner with a trolley full of drinks, let it go, walked past me, then watched the trolley slam into me. Not an apology, didn't even move to remove the trolley now inserted in my left side. I didn't create a scene, I'm sure the fool still has rent to pay and food they need to eat. However, management probably needs to confirm to their team that as a basic requirement, we avoid selling inedible food, we don't assault clients, and clients are just there for their necessities and don't need to know about how hard done by employees feel. Or, as we call in Australia, the bare minimum.
