I find this to be one of the BEST WalMarts in the world! We always buy our weekly food here, but today I bought a motorcycle! The Staff (on a Sunday morning two days after Christmas) was top knotch and very helpful. Buying the bike was probably faster than it would have been at a cycle dealer, and the price was FANTASTIC on my Italika DT125. I have my Mexican Permanent Residency, but I believe that I could have purchased it with an FMM and temporary address instead of my permanent address. The Italika line of bikes is awesome, fully designed and made in Mexico, and the bike came with a manual and helmet! I wondered how it would work, but I just asked at the checkout counter where we bought the food if I could buy the bike there. No problem! Grab the price tag off the bike you want, ring it up at the caja (checkout counter), they take some information from you, and bring out the helmet, key and manual. The interesting thing was that the bikes all come ready to run. They want you to start it up INSIDE THE STORE, to make sure all is well. Heck, I think I could have RIDDEN IT OUT if I wanted! Every store employee I have worked with is very helpful (as is usually the case in all of Mexico, at least away from the border towns), and in this case I dealt with FIVE employees and all were great. One spoke very good English, and the last one (which I tipped well) was cleaning off my bike as the transaction progressed. I think you should count on about 10 minutes to purchase a cycle at WalMart, although this was probably a special shift being right after Christmas. The store is always well stocked, prices are very good, and it's said that WalMart has the best produce and meat selection in the area. Location is great, just coming into town from San Carlos. There is a handy trick to the parking lot if you pay attention. You can enter at the signal coming in from San Carlos, and exit on the north (left) side road beside the gas station and make a right without having to go back out to the signal. Also, parking to the left is beneficial, because that is the store exit. Most people seem to park at the entrance, but your cart and bags are full WHEN YOU COME OUT. Plus, that is the preferred way to exit the area in my opinion. Covid readiness is always evident here, and they are sure to check your temperature, mask worthiness, and make sure you sanitize your hands and feet. They also clean your shopping cart and especially its handles. Higly recommended to shop here!
