El Corte Inglés

I'm not somebody who writes negative reviews lightly but the food here is terrible. First we got the wrong menu, which wasn't served at the time we arrived. After asking if they really only serve breakfast at dinner time we got the dinner menu. We both ordered chicken curry. Big mistake. 0 stars for the food. The meat was like rubber and tasted of nothing. The yellow sauce reminded me vaguely of curry, at least the colour did. And then there was lots of plain dry rice. Vegetables? Nope. We added lots of salt to make it somewhat edible. The 2 stars are for the air conditioning and the cleanliness.... This place is probably good for a break after shopping, but not for a meal. If you don't want food out of a tin (I don't even want to assume that somebody actually cooked this meal) you might be better off going elsewhere.

El Corte Inglés i a great department store. All high quality and everything you could possibly think of. Also an amazingly well stocked food supermarket floor. Easy parking in the same building and usually no problem to find a space. Upstairs there's a nice cafe restuarant for a great snack with coffee or a more substantial meal. I highly recommend paying a visit to Corte Ingles

We visited El Corte Inglés (in Avenida A. Rosselló) in Palma de Mallorca recently. The range of goods and clothes on offer in the store is fabulous. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. My mother had lost a bracelet in the centre of Palma on one day. We has visited the department store the day before and we returned on the off chance that the much treasured bracelet was there. We shopped a lot. We talked to all the assistants on all the floors and departments we had visited. We even went to the Customer Service department in the basement to ask if anyone had found the bracelet and handed it in. Nothing found (everyone looked for us). We carried on shopping and talking. We went and had a coffee in the cafeteria on the 5th floor (which is marvellous by the way). Talked some more and wondered about the bracelet. On paying our bill, on the way out, we casually asked the maitre d' if a bracelet had been found at all. He started to say no and then looked in a drawer and lo and behold it was there! Qué maravilla! How wonderful we exclaimed and the nice maitre d' was super happy to have helped us in our search for a much treasured bracelet (owned for 50 years). My mum was over the moon as it had much emotional significance for her. We bought one last gift, on the way out, and once again that member of staff could not have been more helpful. We cannot recommend this department store enough for what it has to offer and how they treat you. Go to Palma de Mallorca and you will have a fantastic time there (as we did). What a wonderful place! I am sure we will return again soon!

A great chain of stores with only the best products at good prices. They are well staffed so always have help on hand.
