Elijah is awesome. So knowledgeable, helpful, polite, fun to talk to. He gave me many options for upgrading my phone, adding lines, reducing costs, bundles. Three different visits this month and his help was spot on. What a great representative for your business!

Went in with all kinds of questions about my service and was treated like family! The representative that took care of me Daniel I think his name is took his time to explain everything and found ways for me to save money AND get a new phone! Awesome service would highly recommend!!

Great store. Very clean and well lit, friendly staff. Forgot my phone charger on a road trip, in and out in a few minutes.

I went to trade in my iPhone 11 Pro Max to upgrade it to the iPhone 14 pro max. Danny who I was working with lied to me and told me that my series 3 watch wasn’t going to work with the new iPhone. I told him several times that I didn’t want it, but he kept pushing and said “so you want to get it” I said fine and asked him one more time, “so current my watch isn’t going to work at all with my new phone?!” He said “no it won’t work”. Just to find out from google, when I got home, that he lied and the series 3 watch will in fact work with the new phone you just have to update it. I was so disappointed with the service I was provided and it made it much more of a hassle than it needed to be. I sat on the phone with customer service for 2 hours trying to cancel the order and then had to go back into the store to return the watch. This all could have been avoided. If I go back to this store I will not work with him.

The staff person (Robby) took care of two issues for me effectively and efficiently. He also explained how something works on my phone so that now I can deal with it on my own.

The UPS Store

Fast and friendly Amazon return. The staff even offered to process mine before the first customer who had multiple returns. I really appreciated! Have your barcode ready and return only takes three seconds.

I went into the store on a Saturday morning recently to get help with an Amazon return. I had been scammed and came prepared with 7 hours of online chat saying I could return the item to a UPS store. The staff kindly explained to me that I had the wrong information and I had to contact Amazon to correct it.

From the back came Todd, the owner. He did not have to do what he did but he went above and beyond in assisting me with what ended up being AMAZON’S ISSUE ALL ALONG! He was kind and reassuring when talking with me yet assertive and commanding when talking with Amazon customer service. He explained the situation and the fact that this is a common problem that shouldn’t require this much hassle. The fact that he recognized the Amazon Customer Service rep says this is not his first rodeo, nor the Rep’s

After the Amazon rep told me that “ their system will not allow the return to be processed because it has been resubmitted too many times,” Todd stepped in to have my back. He explained how unprofessional and unethical it is to treat a customer like that, let alone one that has done a lot of business with Amazon. In the end, he was able to help me get a full refund and I didn’t even have to ship the item back.

In short, Todd and his staff are a notch above all when it comes to customer service. They did Amazon’s job as shipper, customer advocate, and customer service rep even though Amazon never paid them a dime to do so (and did it better than anyone in Amazon’s customer support team could ever dream of, I might add.). In an age where you can spend 7 hours chatting with someone from across the world who does not care one iota about your livelihood, being by able to walk into a store, speak to the owner directly and come to a conclusion in 30 minutes is unheard of and heavily under appreciated. If long chats and long hold times are weighing you down, go talk to Todd and his team, they are unbeatable!

Love the staff here! Service is quick, friendly, and they have solved my problems many times. Have only had positive encounters at this UPS store.

I called ahead because this is the only UPS store in the Iowa City area that is open on Sundays - I was greeted with a cheery voice - I explained that I had to return a large Amazon package that I mistakenly sent to my house instead of my moms and i wondered if they had a dolly to help me get it inside. The person (who I later learned was Chloe) said they absolutely had one and I told her I had two small children in the car and she said to just pop in or call and she would meet me outside. When I arrived - I stuck my head in the store and Chloe already had the dolly ready - she met me outside, helped me load it and took it inside while I emailed the mailing label that she printed for me. Before I could get my kids completely out of the car to grab my receipt she had already was next to my car bringing it to me! I was astounded and so impressed with the customer service I received today! This was something I was dreading and Chloe insured it was painless! Thank you so much for such great customer service Chloe! (Visited 5/21/23)

When the manager isn’t around, the employees do not want to work.

I am here often and it’s a bad experience if he isn’t in.

Hope the staff member that helped me was having a bad day and doesn’t treat all customers with the same level of rudeness.  Made me feel like I was an absolute inconvenience for dropping a package off.  Will not use this store again.

Went to this store at 8:30a when the store opens at 8. No one was there. A sign near the hours said to call a number. It was automated and said roughly, “We’re assisting another customer, try another store.” The store was locked and empty during business hours.

Midas

These guys are absolutely awesome! They helped me out a couple of weeks ago when I flew into CR and my car wouldn't start. The price was beyond reasonable. I was traveling and upset and I could tell that they really cared. They made sure I was road ready before allowing me to finish my travels. I really appreciated their concern and service!

Mike was awesome on fixing my vehicle! Broke down out of town and got it fixed and going withing a few hours! Paul the manager was awesome and so nice at getting my vehicle fixed and so was the assistant manager Adam! Great place!

The staff at Midas is very helpful and Paul even took the time to return my call when I had reached out after hours! I checked their availability and they allowed me to stop in without an appointment. Due to the simple nature and lower labor for my repair their mechanic Mike diagnosed and installed all the parts to get my car back in order! If you need good quality service and a person oriented staff check out the Midas shop!

The staff there is Amazing! Within a couple weeks they took car of my husband and my car in an affordable easy way. Super informative and didn’t make us feel stupid! They were friendly, helpful and really know their stuff!!

Our daughter is away from home at school and was having problems with her car dying or not starting.  Paul and his team got her in quickly, looked the car over, found and fixed what ended up being a pretty simple problem, and sent her on her way, free of charge!  It's good to know she has someplace to go when we're not around to help.

McDonald's

I came by with my mom and went to drive thru just now. I asked for 4C which was the Deluxe Crispy sandwich and 2 cookies and cream pies. They rang up a Spicy McCrispy when I saw the bag so we told them "no no, deluxe crispy." Saw the box for Deluxe crispy so i thought it was all good. Came home and took a bite, and it's Spicy Deluxe Crispy!! I asked for the damn Deluxe Crispy Sandwich! I didn't say anything about spicy!! If i wanted Spicy Deluxe Crispy, i would have said "spicy deluxe crispy," but i didn't!

They didn't switch out the chicken like the photo and you can see the spicy sauce! Now I'm stuck having to eat it while my mouth burns and i can't even enjoy it. I can't handle spicy food and now I'm having to take 1 bite every 20 minutes. They need to pay attention to what customers ask for. And I've been to this location before and they never messed up when I asked for Deluxe Crispy sandwich

Unfortunately, I'll only give 4 stars on service and atmosphere for today's visit.  This is due to the fact that I walked into the store to pick up my mobile order, and no one was there to help me.  Moreover, my two bags were just sitting at the pickup station unattended.  Most people would probably be grateful for not having to make small talk while retrieving their food.  However, I feel like McDonald's isn't really the best place to exercise the honor system.

No one checked my receipt or attempted to verify that the order was actually mine.  I simply walked in, saw the sign for the pickup area, grabbed my bags, waited for someone to approach, and then left again when no one ever did.  I could have been anyone for all they knew.  This is not just a problem for me but for them also.  If someone else had taken my food, they would've had to remake it and would've lost money on it.  Overall, it just didn't feel like a secure system.

As for the atmosphere, I have 4 stars simply because it was a McDonald's.  It was just like all the other, hundreds of McDonald's stores I've been to.  The same decor, the same uniforms, the same kind of grumpy old manager yelling at the same kind of stoned teenage kid in the back for throwing food around.  I just wish these stores would at least try to be a little more unique so it wouldn't leave me feeling like I had just walked into the same place for the millionth time, only in a different location.

I would love to tell you all that the service was good, but again, I really don't know since no one ever even talked to me.

Nobody gets 5 stars from me so if u got 4 I am impressed. I got 2 number 1s  Big Mac McDonald's,  that burger you just crave when u r driving around hungry,  yep it was perfect (Hwy 71)store, very well built burger, so well, I had to take pictures!! It was Ssssooo goooddd! the fries were amazing,  hot crisp,  perfection!!  Turned out I only had to pay $1 for 1 Big Mac! Saved me almost 5 bucks (pretax)! Download the app ya'll,  and GO EAT!!

I wanted an iced americano, they said they usually only do it hot but did a special request for me and put it over ice. Great service. Great employees. They weren't super busy but weren't super dead. Were happy to accommodate me. Even early on a Saturday morning. The food was hot and fresh and tasted great as did both our coffees. We love McDonald's. Better if you use the app. And really enjoy this location

I thought the egg sausage and biscuit was a little high. $5.49 plus tax . It was good just didn't want to spend 8 dollars on that with a drink

Big O Tires

For the love of god, whatever you do, do NOT take your vehicle here. Had issues with repairs from another shop in Rolla to I took it here. Was told the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Paid to have it replaced. Was in there every few weeks to months to have them replace the wheel bearing over and over. About 6 in total. I have a press in bearing with compression ball joints. While driving to work one morning, something clunks under my car, while doing 70 on the highway. When I get to work my wheel literally fell off. Another $1,500 in repairs + towing. All because someone at Big O didn’t press the ball joint in correctly. They did pay for those repairs. Then shortly after the wheel bearing went out again. They replaced it. When I picked up my car I was told “it’s shaking when you break now, but we don’t know why”. The vehicle was not doing so prior to dropping it off. Took the car elsewhere because I’m too scared to let them work on my car again.

Absolutely phenomenal service especially given how busy everything was! Tyler went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything, not only hooked my Jeep up with beautiful tires, but also got brakes on the Hyundai as well! I love that no question I have is too stupid for them, and they're always happy to help!

I came in with a tire leaking air very quickly. The associate at the counter was very professional and they got my vehicle in the bay within five minutes of being there. They were very professional, fast service I am very pleased with big O tires in Rolla.

I was a damsel in distress! I came out to my car and my tire was almost flat. I made it to Big-O and they discovered a nail in my tire. They went above and beyond to get me back on the road and worked with me on my payment. Anytime I have ever needed the air in my tires checked or anything like that they have helped me and worked quickly to take care of it and are always nice about it. Thanks Big-O for helping me out, you guys were great. 😊😊

My first experience and I got very little service. Failed my car for State Inspection due to tires which I had already ordered from them. This was understandable as the tires had to be ordered and weren't in stock, however, they were to call the following day when the tires were to arrive and they never called again. Went elsewhere for tires and another inspection. They did change the oil so at least that was completed. I think they're tire hoarders...

Walmart Supercenter

Joy in electronics doesn't need to work in customer service she lacks any kindness , friendliness , or helpfulness .
Dear Manager please watch her behavior on video, she is a disgrace to your company on 12-18-2023 at 9 pm. She said i don't like customers like you and told me to go ring up front even though I was already told to wait for her to be done with another customer.  Why she told me to wait and then leave is example of her not wanting to work.  I would like you to resolve the issue.

Update 3-3-2023
I stopped at this location again, and it was a different experience.
The items were stocked, and checkout lines went fast.
The store changed the checkouts to more self checkout, and the other checkouts had 2 smaller checkouts instead of one.
The staff were very friendly.
It was still hard to find things since things were moved around, but a better experience.
I will shop earlier, it seems to be better then later in the day

Previous experience
I have been coming here for years, and every time I shop here, it gets worse. I think today really put the icing on the cake.
Walmart, in general, is a great place to shop. I have visited numerous Walmarts all over, and everyone is slightly different.
This particular one has lost my respect.
I'm trying to shop here, and several areas are empty. This is not covid. It happened before Covid and still happens every week.
I can say items were hard to find
I can say they didn't have them
I can say three high school boys were using electric carts like Mario cart, and you could hear them throughout the store. Also, not one manager did one thing to stop it.
I can say the lines were very long.
I can say a lot of things happened today.
But I will say that when high school boys are running carts laughing through the store and no one does anything that tells me management doesn't care or doesn't want to lose business.
The carts are for elderly or people who can not walk the store for health issues. They depend on it or they can't shop.
I will say that there are two walmarts not far away that I will shop from now on.

Thank you to the workers who did help find things since things were moved around. I really appreciate the kindness and help. If it wasn't for the staff helping, it would have been 1 star.

Wal-Mart saves Christmas dinner, or do they? I will let you decide. I placed a Wal-Mart online order five days in advance to insure the items I wanted where in stock and available so I could have a worry-free Christmas dinner this season. I am naturally planner and go through a lot of extreme efforts to ensure that my dinner is decided on and all the necessary ingredients is either in my house or in the Walmart order, to avoid extra unassay Christmas stress. The first thing to pop up to my attention on delivery day is that Wal-Mart was extra eager to deliver my items, so they sent them out before 10 am which is normally a huge plus right? Who does not love an early order? Well, this early order came with a price, I did not receive my hot rotisserie chicken. The star of my Christmas dinner! They agreed this was not acceptable and set out a refund for the extra fee for the order and then set up a new order for today between 5pm - 6pm and promised a chicken would be delivered. So on to put up my items, I was missing about six items from my order and added a pack of water I never ordered to my items. I called and they issued a refund for my missing items and a 10-dollar gift card to cover the price of the under 35-dollar order. Overall, my Christmas dinner though was not stress-free ordering, they have taken care to lessen my stress in a thoughtful and timely manner so I will say they deserve 5 stars. I may down grade if the chicken does not arrive today, but I do want to be a thoughtful and considerate customer and not tank their reviews for a time that is stressful for employees and customers alike. Hopefully the replacements will all arrive on time and the rest of my Christmas dinner will go off without a hitch! Fingers crossed that Santa gets his favorite fresh orange cookies this year! They have the rotisserie chicken available 10am - 4pm daily. So, it makes sense to get the order out before 10am for delivery and just put not in stock, right? So, if you want your order on time just chose 10am - 11am and add a hot rotisserie chicken to your order Iowa City Wal-Mart will make your order a priority to leave the store prior to 10am! and refund you for the chicken that is not in stock.   Extra take home from this? If you want your order to arrive on time, then place a 10am -11am order with a rotisserie chicken. That was the first time my order arrived at 10am on the dot! All my other orders where either right on the 11am dot or a little late. Seems like Chicken really causes all those Wal-Mart elves to get off the shelf and hustle this year. Remember to be kind to each other as Santa enters through the heart not the chimney!

Generally in a nice and serene environment in the city of Iowa city, be sure to get the best prices.

There were some very nice women working there, very helpful. Probably the best Walmart customer service anyone will ever get at any walmart, which admittedly is a low bar. It's like 5 African women  with headscarves running the whole store and everyone of them deserves a raise.

My husband sent me to get this bag for his Birthday. I proceeded to buy several high quality shirts. He loved all of them! Very stylish and comfortable.

Just walked in while visiting from out of town after great shopping in the stores on the Iowa River Landing strip and the two people “working” couldn’t break their conversation to even say hello yet alone ask if I needed help.  Eyed three things I’d have otherwise purchased but there without service I rather use the internet.  Not the store or service it was 20 years ago.

Fantastic shop, Great selection of finest outdoor apparel around. Customer service and people who care.

Limited sizes in clothing. Non-competitive prices. On top of that again (I’ve been here multiple times) never got greeted or asked for help while in the store for 30 minutes. Waste of my time, I don’t know why I come back.

Very nice store with lots of merchandise. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I went to buy a pair of shoes for kick boxing which they really do not carry (they mostly have running shoes and boots) but they gave we great advise of what they to look for elsewhere. Great selection of shoes and clothes and accessories.
