Walmart Supercenter

The cash register price is most of the time higher than the price on the shelf. Everytime I go now I have to take photos of the price just to know how much it is since it's a different price at the cash register. Recently I bought these items and when I got to the register they were a higher price and I forgot about the photos I took because I was in a hurry. I am not sure why Walmart overcharges people and no one works there seem to care. I always have to show them the photos to lower the price.

Employees are helpful & friendly. The fact that they never have a register open is absolutely ridiculous.
Who wants to use self-checkout with no counter space for a cart full of groceries it's confusing and not right!

What does it say at the bottom of every receipt?
"Low prices that you can trust" not anymore! Watch prices as they slowly rise.

This particular Wal Mart is always clean and organized. As I'm sure everyone says...I wish there were more cashier's at busy times.  I don't work there so I hate doing self checkout. Service desk employees are awesome. Cashier's could use proper training or refresher training sometimes but most of them are also on point. Overall this Wal Mart is ten times better than some others I have been through in life.

I waited over 45 minutes and never got my pick up order.  It’s always a 20 minute minimum wait at this store.  After 45 minutes of waiting I left and asked online to cancel the order got home and the order said it was picked up.  No one ever answered me on why I was waiting, called at least 10 times different numbers and got no answer.

Always busy/crowded, very long lines, self checkout only, rude people and employees. last time I will step inside a Walmart. Thank god for ONLINE pickup & delivery. I’d rather go to target for a much pleasant shopping experience.

Menards

Went to the SW Menards today to get hardware to assemble an end table. Though they didn't have everything I needed, Cody in hardware spent an immense amount of time with me, helping me find most of what I needed, and searching on his phone for the parts they don't carry. Kudos Cody. Great customer service!

On Monday night December 18 two front end  employees wearing yellow vests were found standing inside the cart corral talking to each other for a long time. Not doing their jobs.  They need to do their jobs or punch out and go home.  Not acceptable.     We need and apreciate yor business is not acceptable for this place.                                   We need and appreciate your business is not acceptable  response for this place

I stopped by early this morning for a lawn mower blade and some wild bird seed and this shorter younger gentleman with longer hair named enyeto helped me. I told him I didn’t want seed that would make my birds any crazier because they were already wild enough and he assured me that wasn’t the case. He was so caring and patient with me. I’m older and haven’t been feeling well and the way he took care of me while I was Ill, I loved him!!! 5 stars will definitely be back!

I've been coming to this Menards for some time and live very close. I had easily my worst experience here trying to rent out a polisher/buffer - starting just after 11:00am today.
DO NOT rent any of their Polishers. I made 3 separate back and forth trips here today due to being provided wrong parts, gear jammed in the brush attachment, and employee lack of knowledge about the machine. Over a period of 2+ hours I was eventually told I'll be reimbursed since they could not unstick the brush attachment (stuck from previous renter) that they forgot to give to me during my first (and second) trip....
Thanks for the reimbursement I guess.. more compensation for MY TIME lost & inconvenience would have been appreciated.

They (Noah) called back at 1:05pm and was able to get the gear off so it could work and I didn't have to go somewhere else for one. They also restarted my 4 hour rental window and compensated additional time for the inconvenience. For my 4th trip here today, I improved this rating from 1 to 3.

I returned the polisher and brush back just after 5:00pm for my 5th Menards Trip 😮‍💨. All compensation promised previously was forgotten (or not noted in the system between different personal) 😮‍💨😮‍💨. They attempted to charge me for returning it past the 4 hour limit.. and I had to relive/explain  the situation 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 The manager Wendy came over again later to correct the situation. She has been experiencing this whole situation of.... FUN.. all day with me

I still would not recommend anyone else use this Polisher/buffer. It has seen MUCH better days. It was $25 for 4 hours... I'll just leave it at that.. you get what you pay for. The wheels added scruffs into my floor while it was buffing 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Ironic that it would buff out scuffs while creating more at the same time haha (it created more scruffs then it would polish away) all I can do is laugh at this point about the whole traumatic experience - changed from 3 to 2 star.

Wendy & Noah provided great customer service to try and make the situation right. 5 stars for them all around. I appreciate their time and effort. I STRONGLY recommend Menards get a new polisher all together - for their customers and employees.

Phone didn’t charge in the obese chair. They have this big chair for big people but can’t fit my big phone.

One of the best and cleanest Wal Mart. The fresh  fruits and veggies were well stocked. There's workers there always keeping everything all neat and clean. The deli customer service was very nice, friendly, and courteous.

I would have given five stars, however the guy at the door stopped me and I don't have time for that because I don't steal. Thankfully my dog who works back in electronics told them not to do it again. Therefore the next day that I visited they did not stop us so they are learning thank goodness.

Very rude walmart employees that blocked instore shoppers. Hopefully management will address the problem.

This Walmart have a lack of seriousness as it relates to the handling of clients equipment and or the service provided. There is no quality control inspections done after work there. I advise anyone that receives work to do a pre-trip inspection. After finishing up my inspection after having four Goodyear tires installed, I noticed that they had scratched my rims really badly with the crowbar. They also tried to play on my intelligence and tell me that I was missing a lug nut that I know for certain I was not missing. After leaving AutoZone by a $5 lug nut, I had to return to Walmart and tell them they broke my valve stem. I didn't have any problems getting that fixed after I advise them that I had already left a complaint and I will be leaving another one and I also voice my concerns with the manager on duty Saturday morning named Tammy. Those employees affect the integrity of Walmart and is subsidiaries the way my car was handled. The tires alone were $1,000 so I became really frustrated to see how they had scratched my rim up. The lack of care and the lack of professionalism that the employees at the tire center possess Saturday and Friday morning is ridiculous. Both mornings I I greeted the employees and received no answers like I was speaking to myself. Then after 15 to 20 minutes of waiting to tell them that I have a schedule appointment for tire installation there still was no greeting. It almost felt as if I was bothering them! I'm never going back I just needed my tires installed. I have had several experiences that's why I had my tires mailed to my house because previously I had the tires mailed to the store and couldn't even get the tires because of some release that they need, even though the tires were paid for online and I had receipt with me. I usually don't leave reviews but because this is Walmart and I have been doing business with them for several years, it deserves a review. I also made a complaint with Walmart corporation and is waiting a response. More photos available upon request

Arcadia Roofing and Siding

I had siding replacement, gutter repair, and window replacement done by this company after a hailstorm did significant damage to my home. Everyone with whom I dealt was courteous and professional, and the quality of the work was very good. I definitely would use this company  again, and I recommend them to others needing these services.

At a time when all contractors seem too busy to accept work, Arcadia Remodeling responded quickly, followed up on their quote, and followed up with me after the project (chimney flashing replacement) was complete. Pricing is competitive and was a good fit for a residential job.

They were timely and, within two days of signing the contract, had the job completed to beat the forecasted rain. They were very upfront about their lead times and scheduling availability.

The work looks professional, and as far as I can tell there have been no more leaks with the most recent rains. The roofer also stopped work to discuss options with me as the scope of work changed due to hidden issues underneath shingles and waterproofing materials.

They followed up to make sure I was happy with the work completed. This was nice to be treated as a valued customer, and it's a big part of why I will let them bid on my next home project when I need a roofer or contractor.

The remodel went as smoothly as we could have hoped. We had extensive water damage and several drywall issues throughout the house. The project manager was extremely thorough and prices were fair. The crew was very skilled, friendly and did as much as they could to not disrupt our day to day life. They got the job done very fast and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Arcadia will be our “go to” company for anything we need to have done with our home in the future.

Outstanding customer service, Jay was super honest and did not screw me around on costs at all. I got SEVERAL estimates for this job and they were by far the best choice. Even ended up fixing some things on my roof that the insurance adjuster didn't catch. Used them again to replace some porch posts and was very pleased. Jay himself came by several times to check on his guys and the work, even got up on the roof himself to inspect. Great company.

We hired them to do siding on our house. The work was done professionally and they had a fair price. There was one small issue that needed to be fixed at the end and they agreed to take care of it and did everything they could to make sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend for any siding projects you need done.

Joy in electronics doesn't need to work in customer service she lacks any kindness , friendliness , or helpfulness .
Dear Manager please watch her behavior on video, she is a disgrace to your company on 12-18-2023 at 9 pm. She said i don't like customers like you and told me to go ring up front even though I was already told to wait for her to be done with another customer.  Why she told me to wait and then leave is example of her not wanting to work.  I would like you to resolve the issue.

Update 3-3-2023
I stopped at this location again, and it was a different experience.
The items were stocked, and checkout lines went fast.
The store changed the checkouts to more self checkout, and the other checkouts had 2 smaller checkouts instead of one.
The staff were very friendly.
It was still hard to find things since things were moved around, but a better experience.
I will shop earlier, it seems to be better then later in the day

Previous experience
I have been coming here for years, and every time I shop here, it gets worse. I think today really put the icing on the cake.
Walmart, in general, is a great place to shop. I have visited numerous Walmarts all over, and everyone is slightly different.
This particular one has lost my respect.
I'm trying to shop here, and several areas are empty. This is not covid. It happened before Covid and still happens every week.
I can say items were hard to find
I can say they didn't have them
I can say three high school boys were using electric carts like Mario cart, and you could hear them throughout the store. Also, not one manager did one thing to stop it.
I can say the lines were very long.
I can say a lot of things happened today.
But I will say that when high school boys are running carts laughing through the store and no one does anything that tells me management doesn't care or doesn't want to lose business.
The carts are for elderly or people who can not walk the store for health issues. They depend on it or they can't shop.
I will say that there are two walmarts not far away that I will shop from now on.

Thank you to the workers who did help find things since things were moved around. I really appreciate the kindness and help. If it wasn't for the staff helping, it would have been 1 star.

Wal-Mart saves Christmas dinner, or do they? I will let you decide. I placed a Wal-Mart online order five days in advance to insure the items I wanted where in stock and available so I could have a worry-free Christmas dinner this season. I am naturally planner and go through a lot of extreme efforts to ensure that my dinner is decided on and all the necessary ingredients is either in my house or in the Walmart order, to avoid extra unassay Christmas stress. The first thing to pop up to my attention on delivery day is that Wal-Mart was extra eager to deliver my items, so they sent them out before 10 am which is normally a huge plus right? Who does not love an early order? Well, this early order came with a price, I did not receive my hot rotisserie chicken. The star of my Christmas dinner! They agreed this was not acceptable and set out a refund for the extra fee for the order and then set up a new order for today between 5pm - 6pm and promised a chicken would be delivered. So on to put up my items, I was missing about six items from my order and added a pack of water I never ordered to my items. I called and they issued a refund for my missing items and a 10-dollar gift card to cover the price of the under 35-dollar order. Overall, my Christmas dinner though was not stress-free ordering, they have taken care to lessen my stress in a thoughtful and timely manner so I will say they deserve 5 stars. I may down grade if the chicken does not arrive today, but I do want to be a thoughtful and considerate customer and not tank their reviews for a time that is stressful for employees and customers alike. Hopefully the replacements will all arrive on time and the rest of my Christmas dinner will go off without a hitch! Fingers crossed that Santa gets his favorite fresh orange cookies this year! They have the rotisserie chicken available 10am - 4pm daily. So, it makes sense to get the order out before 10am for delivery and just put not in stock, right? So, if you want your order on time just chose 10am - 11am and add a hot rotisserie chicken to your order Iowa City Wal-Mart will make your order a priority to leave the store prior to 10am! and refund you for the chicken that is not in stock.   Extra take home from this? If you want your order to arrive on time, then place a 10am -11am order with a rotisserie chicken. That was the first time my order arrived at 10am on the dot! All my other orders where either right on the 11am dot or a little late. Seems like Chicken really causes all those Wal-Mart elves to get off the shelf and hustle this year. Remember to be kind to each other as Santa enters through the heart not the chimney!

Generally in a nice and serene environment in the city of Iowa city, be sure to get the best prices.

There were some very nice women working there, very helpful. Probably the best Walmart customer service anyone will ever get at any walmart, which admittedly is a low bar. It's like 5 African women  with headscarves running the whole store and everyone of them deserves a raise.

The finished product of our total home remodel is a 5-star result. The transformation of a mid-century property into our modern day home is amazing! We love our new, old home!

The remodel project was a major undertaking that required nearly 1.5 years to complete. The project design, planning and execution with numerous sub-contractors seemed disconnected and sluggish at times which was very frustrating.

The EHB finished carpenters and framers were exceptional. The EHB staff comprised of project manager, designer and coordinators overseeing our project were always accessible and very responsive to our inquiries. After our relocation into the home, the follow-up to punch list issues was exceptional!

We encourage anyone to explore potential projects with EHB, you won’t be disappointed with the final result.

We loved working with this team! Our project was completed beautifully and we love our new space to host and have guests over! The home construction is top notch and we appreciate how quiet and well-insulated the home is. There are a number of thoughtful details in the construction that we are only beginning to appreciate.

Lenoch & Cilek Ace Hardware

Call and asked what they had in stock in terms of key blanks to save myself a trip, was told they had what I wanted in stock, I got there they didn’t have it, they told me to go to the other store. The other store didn’t have it either so I spent an hour driving for no reason. Will not be returning.

Great local hardware shop, always have what I need and always well staffed with people willing and enthusiastic about helping you find what you came there for. Also best Milwaukee selection in town.

Good old fashion hardware store.  They cover alot of needs regarding home repair and fix it stuff.  Very helpful knowledgeable staff

They had what I needed for painting one of rooms.  Also there was a sale on paint samples which made it a lot more affordable to be able to find the perfect color to match our needs.  It took about 10-15 to get the samples mixed but after that we paid and were on our way.  We also were able to enjoy free and fresh popcorn while we waited. #FreePopcorn #Popcorn #Painting

I visited this store looking for a very obscure product that could not be found or ordered at Menard's, Lowe's, or Walmart: Cord to restring my blinds. Lenoch & Cilek has an exceptional choice of cord, string, and rope.

Upon entering the store, I was greeted and assisted immediately (but without any unwanted "hovering"). My child and I were walked to the correct aisle at my request and--miraculously!--presented with tight-woven, non-stretch, round cross-section, white, 5/32" valence cord. We paid and made it back to the car before my six-year-old had time to start touching things or disturbing displays.

I didn't think it was possible for me to love a store more than I love target but our local Ace here in Granby is top notch! I can absolutely always find the stuff I need and the stuff I probably didn't haha ! Cute selections for gifting and home decor!

OMG The 15th Annual Ladies Night! This was my first time attending! It was so exciting! It was so fun! It was so crazy and crowded but still fun! I will definitely go again! Wow!

This ace was so cool, I could spend hours in there! Definitely recommend stopping by, we got some goggles while up there, they have really cool Colorado souvenirs.

They're so nice and  always helpful!  I can't ever find what I'm looking for and in no time someone is offering to help me find it!  Love it!!

Great selection and helpful staff. However my item was non-refundable. Ironic, since I hardly ever go into that store and yet the one purchase I made is not refundable, and turns out to be the wrong item. My fault for purchasing the wrong thing, but definitely needed a return policy that was better than that one.

The location is great for residents on this side of town. The staff was helpful with finding the hardware I needed for the project. They were out of a commonly used piece. I had to purchase two different pieces instead, but it got the job done.

I went in with a friend to find a couple of bolts. They were easily found and then we found other things.  Nice hardware store.

Always a place to stop in. They have the usual hardware store items and a lot more. Staff offers help with fix it ideas and finding those pieces in the store.
