I love this place! I am starting from nothing; I’m not an athlete, loathe working out, and I decided on a whim to try pure barre. Well it has inspired me and changed the trajectory of my life. All of the staff/instructors are so sweet and kind. Everyone is empowering and my confidence has grown so much. The workout is hard but builds so much strength. It’s not an “in your face” brand, everyone is chill. And I am in no way “good” at it but no one notices because everyone is concentrated on their own thing. If you’re in the fence, try foundations. You’ll feel so much better!
This studio is one-of-a-kind! Super welcoming & encouraging environment, knowledgeable & experienced teachers, and kind & thoughtful management/staff that is always working hard behind the scenes to recognize their members and create fun ways to for the community to connect. Bar(re) none, one of the best places to get a workout in Indy!
This is not like other gyms. There is a welcoming and female-friendly atmosphere. It felt like I was working out with friends. I did not feel self-conscious or judged whatsoever, and the instructor was so kind and encouraging. The women are STRONG! and it felt very empowering to be amongst other women doing our best. I have already recommended the class to my friends and sisters, we are hooked!
Top 10 reasons I love Pure Barre:
1) I was warmly accepted and quickly taken under the “wings” of the awesome instructors on day 1!
2) Everyone wants you to do your best & I really appreciate all the instructors showing me how to correct my form and also encouraging me & others throughout class. I don’t know how but they learn your name & they don’t forget you!😆
3) PB is a great low impact exercise and so it’s a little easier on my joints but no less intense with all the tucking, squeezing, & toning you will do! I never knew a chair sit could be so hard!
4) The instructors always provide low impact options or ways to challenge yourself. It’s “your workout” they will tell you.
5) Besides great Pure Barre apparel they have just fun athleisure wear in general.
6) They have pop up events at different breweries and/or fun locations around downtown.
7) They are a philanthropic group as well, supporting different charities.
8) They host fun events in the studio, such as pajama day, bring your bestie to barre day, etc.
9) It such a good feeling to work your whole body!
10) Forming new friendships!
Pure Barre has changed my life! I’ve never been one to motivate myself to work out. PB has made me feel stronger physically and mentally. It is deceivingly difficult, (sometimes) without even breaking a sweat, and it works. Targeting specific muscle groups and having the mind-body connection really works for me. I’ve never felt this toned in my life. I can’t imagine life without it! Also, I’m officially loyal to the Downtown Indy studio. I love the instructors! They are the ones who motivate me to get my butt to the studio each time. Highly recommend any woman to try this workout style!
