Walmart Supercenter

This place is a disaster and we avoid it all we can. 90 percent of the time they have people panhandling for money on their lot, their store is filthy and cluttered with inventory items, and multiple times the price tag is not correct. Yesterday, we went there because of a special Christmas event and did a little browsing. We saw a Christmas tree on display that my wife liked. The price tag stated it was on sale but nowhere did it say display model only. I carried the tree across the store to find out it was full price: I eventually spoke to a manager who was rude and disrespectful. It was my final straw with that store.

Watched the Deli staff purposely stock items in the wrong place because they were out of stock of that item. Asked her about it and she said she didn't care.

She intentionally filled the space labeled turkey sandwiches with another sandwich simply because they were out of turkey sandwiches.

I don't think that's professional or right. What do you think?

the WORST shopping experience ever!!! Some small man ran me over with a blue cart!! When I said ow that hurt man he hate crimed me!! I used to work at walmart for 10 years!! This is Gail Lewis!! I am a veteran of this corporation and demand not to be treated this way by short men!! Then I turn around and every employee looks more unhappy than me and I had just been ran over!! I will just go to dillons

Dropping off my daughter at #KU to start college, had a few things to grab for her, found what I needed at reasonable prices.  Good Customer Service from my cashier as well.

I was informed that I could not receive cash back for my return that I paid for with a debit card w/pin. Even though it clearly states that you can in the Walmart Returns policies. I was informed that the management has chosen to change that policy. How is that possible? No one could show me a policy that stated that the management could just change any walmart policy at anytime. I'm in town on a business trip and the customer service employees were very rude and very uninformed on Walmart's actual policies. I never spoke with a Manger.  Some kid named Jade informed me that their management changed that policy and would no longer assist me.
Their employees need to be trained better and more informed on Walmarts policies.  Hopefully I will never have to visit this store again.

The Mad Greek

I came here once 10 years ago and had a craving to come back to try their other food options. The service was amazing, the atmosphere is still breathtaking, and the food was as delicious as I remembered it! If you crave Greek or Italian food, The Mad Greek is definitely the go-to!

Front door guy forgot I showed up.. had to wait almost 10 minutes before it seemed he remembered again.. wasn't too busy really seemed like a casual night. Food was good. Would have been a lot better more hot and fresh.
They could use a bit more tidying up on the take out orders.

May want to skip the pick up and just go inside really. Also noticed the plates aren't as hooked up as they used to be..
Food overall is very tasty but I think they could provide a tad bit more for the price as well as tighten up the way they setup the online ordering..

We've been on the road for 5 days and have chosen a different ethnicity to eat each night. Tonight we chose Greek. We sat outside and didn't notice the inside of the restaurant so, I can't comment on it.

Our waiter was friendly, and knowledgeable. We chose to share the Grecian mixed grill. I swapped out the rice pilaf for Briam, and he ordered a side of Greek french fries.

The food came out well plated and the waiter made sure to let me know the fries were breaded and not celiac safe. Peter said his pork was good, a very tasty souvlaki. The fries were ok. I ate the grilled chicken. It was well cooked, but had a hint of rotten to it. The greek green beans tasted like canned green beans, but they were edible. The Briam was a mix of undercooked carrots and over cooked squash. But, again, edible. I'd probably order the Briam again.

The place offers Italian food as well, and if we were to come back, I would give it a try next time.

Overall, a nice dinner. The temperature outside was nice, our waiter the right amount of attentive, and the food decent.

lunch for 2. ordered the hummus appetizer, gyro plate, and italian plate with meatballs. total price was around $36 with cash. i would only take away half a star if i could. the portions were a bit on the small side and the spaghetti was just ok. the place doesn't look like inviting from the outside but is very nice on the inside.

Been coming here for 4 yrs. Hands down one of my favorite places in Lawrence.
I've taken a couple friends here throughout the years & you either like it, or you don't. I never get in-between opinions. The only thing cooked is the rice everything else is raw & fresh. Not many varieties of drinks but that's ok because the food is good. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something healthy with protein.

If you haven't been here go try it out... Who knows, you might get addicted to it like me 😂.

I built my own pokebowl w/tuna & spicy salmon and ordered the crab rangoon dip. The poke was really good, and I felt like the price was fairly reasonable for how much I got. I would recommend skipping the crab rangoon dip though; it's very sweet.

Love love love this store and the boss has been there for ever. I have never had a rude experience or waited in line. Fried okra is the best. I highly recommend. You won't find better guys behind the counter. My jeep only gets gas from here.

This is my favorite gas station in town. When I walk in I feel very welcomed. Their always willing to help you find something if you need it and if they don't have it they will direct me where to go. Their chicken is my favorite chicken, I won't go anywhere else. They have gas specials every Friday which helps me save on gas tremendously, and the store I fair priced. I can pay my bills here, use the atm, and even get money orders. I don't really have to go anywhere, it's a one stop shop.!

I've been there a few times. Always a friendly place. I stop by for a fountain coke some cookies and sometimes lottery tickets. But sometimes I have a friend that I take their because is also likes their fountain drink Pespi products.

The just renovated/ upgraded every thing inside is like new and the workers are good to the costumers and quick to get you taken care of

The Pizza Parlor

Best pizza in the area, friendly staff, great prices, great lil salad bar and PIE GALORE! All of that in a cute little parlor style, tucked away in a small Kansas town. I recommend this place to all visiting family and friends for they have the best pizza in the area! Three years later....I'm now adding photos. If you happen to be driving by...make it a point to stop you Coca Cola collectors, they have a nice pub style setup indoors and now a patio for outdoor dining.

Me and my girlfriend went to eat for a late dinner. The salad bar was fresh and fully stocked. I had the chicken alfrado and my girlfriend had chicken parmasan. My chicken alfrado was pretty flavorless, and that's why I gave the lower rating. The chicken parmasan was ok but nothing special about it... we will be back and next time we will try their pizza. Oh, and their cheese filled breadsticks are AMAZING!

The pizza was the best I've had in years. They put plenty of toppings on and the crust is great. The mozzarella sticks and salad bar were also good. I really liked that they the option of a seven inch pizza - just the right size for one person.

It was so nice to sit in a cool place to enjoy a plate of spaghetti and garlic bread. To finish it off we left with a bag of cookies for the ride home.

Lasagna is fantastic, so flavorful, and you can't beat the calzones! Sheer size is amazing and quite tasty! Stop to get one every time I drive through town! Nice atmosphere, and if you love Coke products, you'll love the decor. Can't wait to stop during nice weather tonearm in their outside area!!!

2021 Addendum: Our delightful waitstaff Brionna gave us a quick history on the Greek roots of this place.  No wonder my Gyros was just right! Come on Friday night for Greek specials,  and DO the deep-fried pickle spears!

Delicious food with many options on the menu to choose from. Our server was a very nice & polite young lady. Wonderful place to have a nice lunch or dinner!

Wow what a fantastic and awesome place to eat one of my Favorites Now. Outstanding customer service by Demetri ,if you stop by make sure to ask for him. I stopped by on July 15 , 2020 .had the Plank Salmon with the Greek fries and a good and cold 32 oz.  Italian Margarita .Friday  17 2020 I had the Lamb Chop dinner it is Amazing ,they are tender and juicy. Not to mention the dessert to die for only on Fridays. Also visited June 23 2020 had the Blacken Chicken darn good to.

Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza

Every so often I have to get my Papa Murphy's fix and it was really good.  Only took about 12-13 minutes to cook each pizza. The cheese sticks are a great starter and the cinnamon wheel is a must have for a dessert.

We get a pizza just about every Tuesday evening.The price is great and the pizza is always perfect. We get a thin crust and it is always nice and crunchy and they put the perfect amount of toppings. We always get a cinnamon wheel as well which is perfect for desert. Everyone that works there is extremely nice, especially then manager. She always reads me my order without me saying a word. There are times I have went out later in the week to try other products that she mentions they have. The store is always very clean and bright. I will definitely keep going  back.

Ordered pizza and salad for curbside delivery. I waited and then went in the store. The young lady asked if picking up or ordering.  I said looking for my CURBSIDE order. She said look on the rack. Pizza was gross and salad was limp. Never going back.

The pizza here is great quality. There are always enough toppings for each bite. It is my favorite take out pizza. The only drawback is that it tends to be a little pricey. They do have coupons and specials, which helps.

Service is great, food is good. They don't take American Express which is perplexing for a food chain store.

Pizza Hut

My family and I needed something quick to eat on our road trip. We stopped here and were anything but Disappointed. The man working had great customer service skills. He even let us add a pizza to our order with just a few minutes left til close. The food was made perfect, everything was fresh and not overcooked. Thank you for your hard work. It shows in the quality of food we were served. You are Appreciated.

Picked up pizza for carry-out, regular crust and pan pizza were undercooked and still doughy at the center. Team was super friendly. I should have checked my order at the counter but lesson learned.

Flies are all over the dining room, which makes it impossible to eat inside. Everything else is great. People are nice and polite. Pizza is great (Pizza Hut crust has always been one of my favorites) I don’t know what they can do about the flies. Probably exterminator.

Watch your food. They under coat chicken wings. I had to go into the store to get a delivery order corrected. Was given the excuse of short staff and slammed with orders as an reason for chicken wings not being properly coated with sauce. This is the 4th time they've done this! It's poor service not short staff.

I ordered through the ap at 4:30 for a 5 pm pick up. We didn't get the food until our order until 5:40, food was luke warm and order was not correct.

I ordered a large Papa's Favorite that consists of: Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Ground Beef, Mushrooms, Mixed Onions, Green Peppers, Black Olives, Cheddar Cheese , Whole-Milk Mozzarella Cheese, and Traditional Red Sauce. All of my toppings are fresh and they didn't skimp on the toppings! I also ordered a large thin crust pepperoni. They have a deal on thin crust (one topping) pizzas on Friday's. Choice of pepperoni, sausage, or cheese pizza for only $5.99. Both pizzas were delicious! I highly recommend Papa Murphy's!

Love Love Love Papa Murphys and their staff! The St Joe store is always clean, and the staff enjoy their jobs. You can tell by their attitudes! I love how fresh everything is and they have something for everyone!!! Great value for your $$$

Murphy’s pizza is consistently great. After 4 months (see below), the quality of service has improved. A walk-in order on a busy summer Friday, at peak hour, took only 6 minutes. Impressive!

April 2023: Always great pizza, but lately, ineffective management and lack of supervision. I saw a customer stand at the front counter for 7 minutes with no one else in line, before someone acknowledged her. Some of their employees are not properly trained, but not all staff. The product is competitive, but the service has nosedived.

We got the 5 Meat Stuffed Pizza for the adults and some Mini Murph's for the kids.  The Mini Murph's are personal pizzas that the kids get to put together themselves.  It comes with sauce, cheese and whatever toppings you ask for in cups ready to spread across the dough.  It only takes a few minutes to bake and the kids loved it.
The 5 Meat Stuffed Pizza is filled with fresh toppings and loads of cheese.  One slice will fill you up.  Papa Murphy's always has fresh toppings and tastes great.

Amazing pizza. Staff is really nice. One time they didn't have our order ready so they gave us free cheesy bread.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate

Loved this place. They have a great selection of candies with an ice cream shop connected to the chocolate shop. The woman working there was very helpful and nice. She took tume to go over everything with us. Highly recommend 👌

The young lady working this morning was an absolute delight! Friendly and great at her job! Of course their caramel apples are always delicious! A ton of flavor options. Apple Pie, Cookies & Cream, candy covered from Oreo to M&M, classic caramel apples that are just caramel covered and others with peanuts. They even have chocolate covered strawberries and more!

Workers were inside at the counter with the door locked before the posted closing time.

I can’t say anything about their other treats but we tried the truffles and the chocolate Reese’s and I couldn’t even bite into the chocolate on the outside it was way too thick and it is way overpriced

The service was great m, the lady there was super sweet. We're from Oklahoma and went there for a mini trip. And stopped by and the chocolate was delicious 😋
