Mr Gyro's Greek Food & Pastry

Mr. Gyro's has been my go-to for Greek take-out for as long as I can remember. As the name implies, the gyro platter is great stuff. I also like to get a small Greek salad on the side. The dressing is excellent, and for a small salad it's a lot of food. If you're in the mood for dessert, they've got a whole case full of excellent pastries. I've literally never had anything I didn't love. Though I tend to get carry out, I've dined in on occasion in the past and found it pleasant outside the lunch rush (though I miss the screens showing video of landscapes and small town scenes from Greece).

I've been noticing this gyro place for a long time It was pretty good They had their gyro sandwich that was decent size and did need extra dressing and it is a place that is fast food like to get something Greek after all especially if you want gyros l.

there was a rude boomer in line ahead of me who screamed at the cashier but she did such a good job at handling her. looks like all the bad reviews are just old people that have never been told no. My service was pristine, she was so nice.
to the snarky ungrateful boomers in the comments, learn how to speak to cashiers. So glad this place puts their employees first. Don’t see that often anymore

Normally love this place. Food is great. Staff is a bit abrupt. We usually eat at the Overland Park location (83rd and Metcalf).

In line at 6:21 this evening to order food fire dine-in. The staff member behind the counter starts pulling the floor mats and piles them up on the customer side of the counter. Keep in mind the store will not close for 1.5 hours. People were sitting on the bench right next to the grouse stinky stack of floor mats.

This is at least the third time I’ve had this experience. The staff has no regard to how this impacts their customers. Tonight a gentleman in a wheelchair and all other customers had to make detours around the pile.

This was purely a convince for 1 staff member. Trying to get her side-work done early.

We did a catering order for 50 people today and everything went great! The food was ready at the promised time, everything was packed well, and the portion sizes were great for an office with young men. The food itself was warm and tasted amazing. Thank you for the great catering experience!

Glass Doctor of Kansas City

Today we met with Glass Doctor about a sick window 🤒🪟.  They came as a recommendation from another trusted company, Window World, due to the type of solution we needed.  We were so impressed with quality of service  from the first time we spoke, to the follow up and the actual consultation.  The bid to replace the glass was less than half the cost to install new windows and the solution, a more attractive fit!  Thank you Ronnie in KC and Diona/Wojo from STL for your above and beyond professionalism and integrity 🙏.

What a terrific experience! I was very leery about having just anyone replace the windshield on my older camaro, but I chose Glass Doctor based on a friend's recommendation. The tech showed up at the house right on time and I was more than relieved when he said that he has over 20 years experience working on these exact cars. He was very knowledgeable, professional and had all of the tools he needed in his truck. He did a great job, completed in about an hour, and I am very pleased with the results.

This will be my second time working with this company. First our sliding glass door. And now our car window glass.. I very happy with the service. I will keep calling Glass doctor

I picked Glass Doctor because they said they only used OEM Glass. The first install they used Safelite glass. They then replaced that glass with so called OEM glass. Today in learning that the glass is separating delaminating so I went to a new glass vendor to find out I have a super cheap non OEM glass installed. After removal of the glass it was discovered gouging from the glass knife that cause major rust under the glass. Now I know where the water was getting into my car after several visits and hundreds of dollars to my dealership. I would highly recommend you find a different shop.

Update 11/20/2020  here is your record. I attached a pic of your guy installing the last non OEM cheep glass. Notice the Glass Doctor polo.. This was NO miscommunication!

- Darrell was the first technician out to my home to replace the glass on the stationary side of my sliding door, he was able to replace it the same day as the quote which was convenient for me (as taking a full day off of work costs me about $250).  However after installing the door he did not bother to check it as after he left I realized that the sliding door no longer worked properly and was extremely difficult to close and open.

- I called for them to come back and was notified I would be called in 1-2 days to schedule a return visit.  After about a week I called back again and was then able schedule a return date.  They notified me they are unable to schedule time frames beyond 9-11 or 12-4 which to me doesn't make much sense since I work for a service company that can accommodate and schedule appointments within a 2 hour timeframe. The office staff was unwilling to accommodate my schedule and I had to reschedule this visit a second time after they tried to arrive before I would be home. (appointment was scheduled for 12-4 with the hopes of an appointment after 2:30, they called me at 11).

- Ronnie was the technician who arrived to fix my door which was a simple fix needing only 2 screws and some WD-40. If Darrell had paid more attention and just added the missing screws (which he did inform me of at the time of service) I would not have had this issue.

- I was originally going to put 1 star but Ronnie was respectful, prompt and quick with his work.

- I would recommend Ronnie as a technician but would not recommend Glass Doctor.

The Big Biscuit

If you love biscuits and gravy, this one is mighty fine!

Capped off a weekend visit to KC with a stop at The Big Biscuit.  This place overall had been talked up highly by a few friends and this particular location did not disappoint.

Service was friendly and prompt, we chose to sit at the counter as seats were open.  Our server greeted us almost immediately and we were off to breakfast wonderland.

I love biscuits and gravy. The pursuit of the perfect B&G is a bit of a lifelong chase and this is one of the finest!

Perfect biscuits, made in house, served with a nice topping of sausage gravy.  I could use a bit more gravy, but that is no complaint.  Delicious and crispy hash browns with cheese complimented the B&G well.

The place was busy and one customer was grouchy with the staff about something, but overall we were 100% satisfied and would definitely stop again next time we are in the area!  I even took home some merch which is a rarity in my stops!

When you come to Kansas you gotta stop here or any of their other locations. The service & food is on point. My mom came in from out of town & she loved it. I would highly recommend any visitors to check them out plus the price is right. This is what I had & was full after a few bites.

The outdoor tables could use some work. Food came out fast but was meh. Server was okay. Convenient location. Turkey/chicken sausage would be a great addition, which the server said they didn't have.

Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy as they were phenomenal! The cinnamon roll pancake was a little underwhelming for flavor and the hash browns were good on flavor, just a little too greasy for my liking.

My favorite breakfast place, locally owned and growing company, always great food, expanding to new locations, best pancakes in the city, quick and friendly service, Biscuits YUM!

The UPS Store

It was right around the holidays and believe it or not. They weren’t busy at all. Very convenient and great for when you’re in a hurry and don’t wanna deal with the post office.

Amazing team here!  Been using their services for a number of years now and always extremely helpful.  The team goes above and beyond each time.  Thank you!

Rude behavior by the guy who notarized my documents. He charged me 12$ for single notary sign which is ok but he charged me 3$ for regular Black n White printout of single copy. How can it cost 3$ for a single regular print out . Don't go to this store

Print job was completed quickly. Good customer service.

Always friendly and usually very quick to get to me when I’m dropping off Amazon returns.

Westlake Ace Hardware

Amazing experience here, had a gentleman greet me warmly when I walked in the door despite being busy helping another customer. I didn’t catch his name, but it was the same gentleman who also offered me popcorn when I walked out the door. I should note, it was Black Friday and most retail workers moan when they hear they have to work that day, but not this guy.  Home Depot definitely doesn’t make you as excited to be there as Westlake does! Thank you Antioch Westlake.

I've got to congratulate this place for pulling off the combo of misleading a customer while still treating it like it's their own fault. Today I returned an online order I picked up here. The store manager/owner took the product, and didn't give me a refund. How on earth does that work? After processing the return, the manager claims he couldn't give me the refund because the original purchase was done online, but he only informed me of this AFTER he 'completed" the transaction. Lying through omission doesn't sound like the best business practice to me. In response to the simple request for a customer service phone number, I was told that there was "no obligation" to help me. help myself get a refund for the item I returned. And again, this lack of basic courtesy came not from a regular associate, but the store manager himself. I too used to go to the location on College and Quivera. The difference between the 2 locations is like night and day.

Awful service. Asked for help twice from the same employee who was talking to what sounded like a friend. First time walked me close to area and pointed. Second time, still talking to person, I asked him to confirm hardware was in package since I could hear it rattling and he arrogantly explained yes, you can hear it. Bought something I asked if I could return. Cashier said yes with receipt. Returned a few hours later with said receipt and different cashier said I could not return, not on receipt. The code did not match but amount did, clerk error? Asked if cashier code was on receipt, thought he'd remember me, and newest cashier said no and again could not return with a rude and arrogant tone. Used to love Ace Hardware at College and Quivira which has closed. Will not return to this one at College and Antioch.

Good store, clean and not cluttered. Staff is usually helpful and will make sure I find what I want.

I like Ace Hardware.  The employees don't let you browse to long before they ask if they can help you, if they didn't already intercept you in the front of the store.
I didn't need to go on a half mile walk to get into the store like I have to with the big box stores .  I'm in and out without a long wait to checkout.

Budget Blinds of The Northland and Kansas City Central

The process of ordering and installing my blinds has been damn near perfect. The ordering process was easy and quick, with a very reasonable cost considering we were doing a whole house replacement. The installation was just as good, with the installers arriving early and explaining everything they were doing. James and Will were completely professional and personable, and they completed the install very quickly with very little mess. Everything looks great! I am 100 percent pleased with our purchase.

We had the best experience from start to finish by Budget Blinds of the Northland! Our designer, Joey, made sure all of our wants and needs were made possible with such an affordable price for our whole house. We were contacted by Tony to schedule our installation a few weeks sooner than we were expecting. Our installers James and Ashton called to let us know they were running ahead of schedule and completed the installation in the amount of time Tony anticipated for us, all while loving on our pups and finished leaving their work area cleaner than when they started. Will highly recommend!

I had an original bid from the shade store in Leawood that cost twice as much for the exact same product and did not include delivery or installation. Two blind girls and budget blinds were faster and did an amazing job.
I ended up ordering twice as many blinds and was able to do 6 slider doors, instal and guarantee for less than my original bid.

Ryan came over and helped me pick out the blinds that fit our budget and my style. He made it so easy and we had so much fun doing it. Ashton came in to install the blinds and he was super friendly & efficient. Our blinds are beautiful and have really elevated our home at such a fair price.  Highly recommend!!

Budget Blinds just came to my home to fix a small area on my shutters.  They called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way and they were two really nice and efficient gentlemen. They were done in no time at all    I really think Budget Blinds are the way to go. They installed all my shutters and have taken good care of me. I definitely recommend them.

Carstar Roe Body Shop

Great service! I’ve used the Carstar on Roe a couple of times, and recommended them to others. We have all had good experiences. Wyatt and the crew are attentive and their work is quality. The most recent visit was for a broken window from a car break in. I got quotes over the phone from a few shops (both chain and local). They were all about 2x the price and couldn’t do the work for a couple of days. Carstar had the part ordered, delivered, and put in the same day. I know that it takes all body/mechanic shops time with parts and labor shortages. But, I feel like the Carstar on Roe is fair, does good quality work, and I wanted to share a positive experience

My daughter had a cracked glass above her windshield. They were so fast with ordering the glass and getting it installed. They even went above and beyond to make sure it would not get rain inside until it was fixed and covered it for her.  I definitely recommend this body shop. Thank you so much for taking care of my daughter.

My car got backed into in a parking lot while I was at work. Thankfully the person left their information, and Carstar Roe Body Shop took care of everything with their insurance company after I got the estimate, all I had to do was make the appointment. The front desk staff was always super helpful and friendly as well as the staff people answering the phones. I was very impressed with how smooth the entire process was, and the work done was fantastic. They even cleaned the inside of my car! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent body shop. They were recommended by our insurance but we asked around in several other places first and they were the best among them all. Very organized and communicating all the steps with us through the repair process. They are also very flexible

These folks are great. They took Wonderful care of me from the time I showed up for an estimate to the time I picked up my car when the repairs were completed.
They did a fantastic job of fixing all of the damage to my car after the wreck. I cannot tell it was ever damaged.
I recommend Roe Carstar to anyone who wants great customer service and fantastic restoration of your damaged car.

Lowe's Home Improvement

12/19/23 9:30 am. Was outside looking for a pot to plant a plant from my mother in-laws funeral 2 yrs ago. A present for my wife. It was on the top shelves. I hollered for help. The cashier didn't bother to come out of his warm I closed both till I grab the ladder on wheels. Told me I couldn't do that. I asked him to help me then. But no, he had to call someone. When I went to go pay. I asked for a manager. No one was There. I asked for a supervisor. She came and wouldn't look me in the eye and was very condescending to me.  You all are just rude to customers anymore

Our purchase of a dishwasher this afternoon was involved due to the cancelation of an incorrect previous unit purchased in error. Salesperson # 4585016 did an excellent job getting everything right in a timely manner. 👏

Disgruntled customer here. Last Thursday bought a dishwasher found out that night it didn’t fit space is 23.75” Friday called and talked to an associate and he suggested a different one not in stock and would have to be ordered I said I would come in next week and return/buy the new one. Came in today and talked to a different associate about the size and that I had the dishwasher to return in the car she said would have to return and order the new one. Went to return it and the associate there was confused that it wouldn’t return then found out about the 48 hour return. I’m hoping that something can happen to fix the situation and that the employees may be educated to inform customers in the future. The signage on the return policy is nonexistent except in the return department. Don’t know what my next reasonable option is but shopping here is not in the cards

My husband and I along with a friend of ours went to Lowes on Saturday March 25th at 10:00 a.m. to get supplies for a fence she is putting up next weekend with her step dad. We came to the store with a list of several supplies and my husband asked if we could get someone to help us out that knew their way around the store. We got set up with a young man named Tony. Tony took his time with us and helped us find everything we needed and even pushed one of our flat bed carts for us. His customer service was superior and even though he was wearing a mask we could see his smile. Thank you Tony for going above and beyond for us and making it a fun experience.

Well kept plants, wide selection, great deal on my huge basil and parsley plant.

1 star doesn’t all all suggest the profoundly awful service for this unprofessional business. 77 weeks ago (almost 1 1/2 years) I filed a claim with this store. The claim represents a piece of vintage French art that was damaged due to the uneducated packing choices of what I’ve been told was the store owner. Attached photos show the poor packing choice. The art was damaged where the boxes were forced together  to make a bigger box, with no support structure hence the crack. Immediately upon receipt of the broken piece  I sent the photos, receipts etc to help process the claim.

I phone this location once every 3-5 months to check in on the status. “Chip” always answers the call & has no recollection of this report or it’s outcome each time.  He will not supply any claim number, nor any related info. He always stresses about long lines and that he has to urgently get off the call. He also always tells me to “call back in a week”  Actually my friend, it’s up to your business to call me back with information

I’m due over $800 for the cost of art & junky shipping fees. I’ve reluctantly decided to post here about this & I’ve reached out UPS corporate as well.

Just stopped in to return my AT&T equipment. The guy name Chip very rude. I asked a question and he acted as if I wasn’t standing in front of him. He proceeded to ask me the information needed but refused to answer 1 question for me.

If I can give no stars it would be great. Called about my package that was delivered their but should have came to my apartment. Called a was met with a rude person I told the reason why t was calling and could you check. Gave my name and I was put on hold this person came back with a very disrespectful tone saying to me you don't have anything here with that name and I said what do you mean with that name? The person replied well you have a unique name I asked did you put it in the system or write it down. Reply no I just looked so you didn't put it in the system or write my name down you just eye bald it? Person went on a rage and I told the person you're the rudest disrespectful person to have a job where y are to help people what type of person are you and I ended the call. Treat people with respect It could've been your Mom's or Daughter or your Aunt trying to get help like I was because I tell you it doesn't feel to good to have your money just floating around to be given to the wrong person that's not a good feeling and yes all 26lbs of it too.

This UPS store is ALWAYS on top of it. The nice lady with  the dark hair and glasses helped me tonight around 515 and was amazingly helpful and the gentleman she was working with has also gone above and beyond with helping return my packages. I couldn't be happier with my service here!

People need to be VERY aware , of a guy named Tinsley that works there . I dropped some very important mail off in a enclosed envelope and it magically disappeared. After being put in the hands of this store associate. I have called numerous of times and left emails . Iv been getting the run around for a whole month now . They lack accountability and liability for the actions of this store associate . Due to no fault of my own . I will be facing an eviction . Please be aware and don’t leave anything valuable . Hoping this message gets across to prevent it from happening to someone else . This guy is very much so still employed there .

* UPDATE they haven’t done anything to help me with this situation. But protect Tinsley . I am now forced to get a attorney involved for litigation. Don’t trust these sketchy employees
