Start with walking in… we were greeted about 3-4 minutes after we walked in, the hostess was busy cleaning tables. She said a table of two and us which was a table of 4 right after. The table of two had their food and eating before our order was even taken. Hostess finally came over and offered to get us drinks, we let her know we were ready to order,  she said “ oh I’m not the server “ but was kind enough to get the drinks for us. After sitting and drinking our water and watching four servings standing back by the soda machine talking, I got up and walked back there and asked if someone could please take our order. After an eye roll from our apparent server, she followed me back to the table and started with the men at the tables first ( which is rude, ladies first) after collecting our orders, she said “ there is an 11 top over there so your food will take awhile” a just walked away. Never coming back, until the food was ready, two other servers stopped by and told us “your food will be out soon” they were pleasant! Wish we had one of them as our server, I would give our servers name, but she never introduced herself. So… she comes out with the food puts my husband’s down, then reaches across him and places my daughter’s plate, too lazy to walk around the table or even say excuse the reach. We get the rest of the food and never see her again. I got our own to go box, as we were so tired of the wait.
Food was good, except the biscuits and gravy were absolutely nasty. Hostess was pleasant. The server is who lost our business from your cafe ever again, absolutely unacceptable!

Went here for breakfast.  I had the Biscuits and Gravy and found it kinda bland.  The biscuits were a little well done and hard to cut.  The Chocolate Chip pancakes were awesome and the French Toast was great too.  Just the right portion.  The BLT with Avacado my MIL enjoyed.  The coffee was just the way I like it.

The worst part was where we sat the AC was freezing me.

I have been wanting to try this cafe for awhile and finally got to it this morning.  Very pleasant place and the service was EXCELLENT.  I haven't seen coffee skated like this in years and the coffee was pretty good!...The food was very good and for the price plentiful!...All in all, if you are looking for a good breakfast or lunch I would HIGHLY recommend Biscuits Cafe in Canby.  You will not be sorry.

Edit: I ordered again after receiving a response on here that the wrong gravy was packaged and that I was right, it wasn’t good. They said they were making the gravy in house until they received the correct gravy (which was supposed to be delivered yesterday). I placed an order and received the exact same disgusting gravy. You can smell and see the difference, because there are copious amounts of large green leaves that taste like Italian seasoning.

Edit to add: I appreciate the response and honesty. I just placed an order. I will update this review after we eat. It’s funny because I actually ordered from West Linn and received the same wrong gravy. I thought you guys were sharing a new cook! Lol. I’m so happy you’re not serving that gravy anymore!

Original review: I ordered biscuits and gravy from here nearly daily for the last month. Seriously love it- but I think they have a new cook because the last 3 orders have been absolutely terrible. To the point where I can’t eat it. The cook keeps dumping in a TON of Italian seasoning or some kind of green flakey-seasoning that is so strong. It’s like Oregano or something. Imagine if a 2 year old dumped a ridiculous amount of ranch or Italian seasoning into the gravy. It’s to the point where each bite is “leafy” and it’s the only thing you can taste. Please stop. This was my fave breakfast in town.

Weird atmosphere. Not cozy at all. More like a business in a strip mall they put some tables in with a kitchen in the back. Breakfast was close to 20$ per plate or higher. Definitly priced at the high end for the cheapest meal of the day to make. All of our food was cold and we were there by 8:00am so it’s not like hey we’re busy so it sat. It was dead in there. My eggs weren’t even room temperature, they were cold. Breakfast comes with one piece of toast. 20$ for breakfast that comes with one piece of toast. Our server was good but she forgot to give us back our debit card so we had to search for it and found it up at the front of the restaurant laying there for anyone to grab. I’m more annoyed at the cold expensive food with one piece of toast. I won’t go back there. There really isn’t anything good to say about it. It wasn’t terrible but not worth bothering to go there again when there’s plenty of good places with hot food and enough toast to finish your cold eggs with. Eggs, potato’s, and bread are all very cheap to buy but they charge 20$ and bring it cold with on piece of toast. How much is bread that you have to be that cheap on it?  Ya no never again.

Teaspoon Los Altos

You can order at register or a self help kiosks which takes payments also.  The kiosk is pretty good and walks you through all the options and takes slide or touch payment.  Place was busy and took some time to turn around the order.  They had a few tables outside to sit if you wanted.  They serve a limited menu of desserts also which are displayed in a show case next to the register.

I've tried several drinks here and they were all spectacular. The workers are all nice and sweet. I love the almond pudding as a topping. You can really customize your drink inc the sweetness level which I think it's fantastic. The milk tea snow was really tasty!!! The Classic Thai Tea has lots of flavor as well. Definitely recommend this shop. Plenty of parking.

Place is nice and small which was just okay for me. There was a line but service was quick and efficient so I got to order pretty quickly without having to wait long. The drinks were made and when it got to mine, I have to say I was very satisfied. The boba pearls were chewy and sweet and the texture was something that was just right for me.
Highly recommend and would come back.

The inside is very cramped feeling and they tend to have a rush. Never try Teaspoon before but after this, I don't think I'm going to get it anymore. The drinks have been very sweet and I thought I was drinking pure sugar drink. I never could've known. My drink was Strawberry Colada and wow, it feels like I'm tasting straight up syrup. I did try to mix it but that made it sweeter. Really wish they adjust it to match people taste. They also forgot to add boba to the violet latte one and had to asked to fix it.

The line did not seem that long when we arrived but it appears large groups will come and one or two will make all the orders while the rest wait outside. Thus don't expect the line to always move so quick even if one would think so. Nevertheless their snow desserts and customization bubble tea options were great.

Pólvora

Excellent food. The pressed juices were outstanding!  Extremely small portions. I will definitely order two breakfasts next time. Heavy on the bread, although it is good sourdough. Lovely setting. Looks like they will be doing dinner soon.

Firstly the food is amazing, gourmet food at a very reasonable price, the pizza and bread is all made in house with their special sourdough starter and it's delicious! The new menu is incredible you have to try the falafel and the samosas!!! 😁 So yeah the food is amazing but the best part is the atmosphere and team they have, they make everyone feel like family and it's the whole experience that makes you want to comeback for more!

Pólvora is located in what feels like the middle of the desert but is just outside town. It is immaculately designed with covered spaces and tables surrounded by cacti - ambient music in the background.

The food (only tried brunch) is exceptional — good portions, fresh ingredients, wonderful flavours, decent prices. They also have really good coffee.

The owner and staff were really nice and friendly. I am sure they could tell my Spanish isn’t great but entertained speaking to me the entire way versus switching to English which I greatly appreciated. Wish I found this earlier but I’ll be back next year.

Beautiful desert setting, delicious food, ethereal ambiance and friendly service--what more could you want? I've only dined here for breakfast but everything was knockout. The freshly made pita and jugo de betabel are a must try. Barista Juan Carlos is as friendly as can be and truly a coffee wizard and owner Tino is a gem of a human. If you find yourself in the area this is absolutely a must stop, located just a couple minutes south of La Ventana as you drive in from La Paz. I can't wait to return!

Absolutely my favorite coffee shop / cafe I have ever visited. The service was fantastic and you can feel the thought that has gone into every detail- the space, the food, the coffee, the art. They may be the only specialty coffee in the area(?), and it was great. We tried most of the food menu as well and everything was thoughtfully balanced, unique in flavor, and made from local ingredients. Cannot recommend Pólvora enough. What a gem.

Teaspoon

A great spot for a boba treat. I always get hot tea, but the school rush on hot days leads me to believe that the iced teas are worth a try. The customer service is great.

Also there are discounts for bringing your own cup & straw.

My team had been on the mission to try all boba places in Palo Alto. This is the second one we’ve tried. It is pretty good. I do like it. I had originally wanted Lychee on Lychee, but was told they were out. So I had gotten the Strawberry daiquiri instead. It is really good! I was a little disappointed I didn’t catch that the drink didn’t have tapioca pearls or boba pearls in it. It was still really good! It was a tad bit too sweet, but either way, I enjoyed it very much. I will try other ones on the menu! Another thing I really liked were the eco-friendly straws! I loved them!

I always go here because the boba from here, it's good! I sugest kids to drink non-caffein drinks such as caramel milk [ Comes with boba, milk, and melted black sugar]. The workers are nice and the service was quick.

Overpriced for the boba in the area. A normal milk tea with boba will cost you 7$, before tip. A topping costs a full 1$ extra vs 50 cents or 75 cents in the area which is ridiculous. What’s worse is they’ve slowly decreased cup size as well as topping portion in addition, so even though I’m paying more for boba, I’m getting less compared to other places.

Actual boba here is okay. Sometimes inconsistent but usually decent. Had a few times where it was gummy but on average, it’s a good texture.

Tea is fine. Does the job.

If you do like the specialty fruit drinks or the variety of toppings, or can’t drive further out, this place makes sense. Otherwise, if you’re looking just for simple classic milk tea with pearls, I’d recommend driving 10-15 min away and you can find several boba alternatives, that are cheaper and even better (Boba Bliss or Boba Guys if I have the choice).

The one thing they do have going for them is they offer an uncaffeinated unsweetened option (the rooibos) which is rare to find at boba shops.

I ordered through their app and picked at store. Drink was ready in few minutes. I ordered house milk tea with coconut jelly. Drink was just average compared to other teaspoon location.

Teaspoon Pinole

So glad they opened a Teaspoon nearby! The taro drink is the same as I remember it. Their menu has classic drinks $5.75 and signature drinks $6.25, you can add toppings for . 75 cents. The drinks are all one size which seems like a large.

The desserts actually looked really bad/sad- not sure if it's because it's 6pm but I didn't try any to comment further. Decent prices though.

The employee was very friendly and service was normal for the soft opening. They are currently putting up a Christmas tree at the entrance. There's also one large TV inside but I'm not sure what you would watch on mute here? Very clean and spacious. I would suggest a cozier interior to attract more people to sit inside.

First time at teaspoon. My son got the mango it’s like getting a mangonanada and I had the Thai tea. Both drinks were delicious. The staff very friendly and gave out samples while we waited for our order. The Guava sample was great

I went to one in Concord, and the customer service was amazing, and the taste of the banana 🍌 milk was even better

Today, I had a Strawberry 🍓 Colada Smoothie, and my friend had a Golden Brew

Both are extremely delicious and refreshing.

McDonald's

Needed a quick coffee and some fries on the go while driving long distance. The drive through is overflowing though and the parking lots as well. They were out of creamers. The location is great, the UCSF bldg is right opposite.

They constantly mess up my order and then when I hand it back to them, they said something rude about me in Spanish like no one else in the world understands Spanish. Take a look at this picture and tell me if that’s appropriate ? You failed today.

How do you run out of McDonalds at McDonalds, I bought a bunch of burgers but only got fries and a few mc chickens thrown in there?????

10am.  No breakfast.  "No chefs here to make breakfast".  Then trapped in drive through line for 30 minutes. Most ridiculous. Location has gone downhill ever since the latinos left.

1. Workers do not know English At All! They have to know a few words and have to know what the customer talking about.
2. Too rude manager, workers.
3. You have to wait for a long time to get your “fast food”.

All stuff has to be changed

Ordered two Big Mac meals, one was made right and the other was made without the patties how could you make a burger without the patties that’s the main ingredient to a burger the patties!. Then tried to call up there and no answer, definitely lost my business!.😡

Food was nice ND fresh, they did NOT skimp on sauce which I find usually happens. Usually have a spot of sauce on my fish sandwich, they put the perfect amount. It don't sound like a big deal BUT IT IS....GIVE ME THE FLAVOR and the food was warm and packaged very good.. THANKS!!!

I come here often and it is the best Mc Donald’s for many miles around. I come inside/ drive thru / and order on the Mobil app for delivery. I call to ask if they will make my guava pies fresh, the manager I’m assuming answers the phone is always very nice. I’m super grateful for the kindness from employees.

I don't get it, you people want to make more per hour but this is the third time you've been unable to read the screen and make my order properly. No cheese means no cheese on my burger, double quarter pounder doesn't mean deluxe quarter pounder. I even selected "no mayo" just to be on the safe side and still you managed to put mayo on it.

Third time, and it's the last time. I mean for goodness sake I'll just go to burger King.

A very rude and obnoxious black woman worked the drive through when I went the other day.  No kind of pleasantries at all, not even a hint of a smile.  And while I waited patiently for my receipt she told me I can go now and waved me on.  I called her manager who was very polite and understanding.  Will not return there.

Paris Bakery Cafe

Top notch customer service with kindness. The ladies behind the counter make sure your order is handled perfectly. Fresh baked croissants and everything in-between. We left happy in a food coma.

This down-to-earth cafe place has amazing baked goods and coffee. I love how local and simple this place is. Just a sip of black coffee over strawberry pastry already made my day here in Monterey. There are so many types of pastries that I need to try. Definitely come back again!

The Best Pastry shop in Monterey!!! The display cases are full of delicious goodies!!! Specialty cakes, cookies, croissants, single serving cake slices, pastries, fresh breads! They also serve sandwiches, soups including clam chowder, deli sides, salads, cafe drinks, etc. My favorites are raspberry croissant and Eiffel Tower cookies!!! One of my must-have stops when I'm in Monterey!!!

Starbucks

Worst Starbucks I've ever been all around the world.
Lazy staff. Took 20min (on the clock) to take a customer order.
Poorly executed beverages.
Put cold milk on a cortatto.
Complained and they couldn't care less.
Should be closed

I had an iced coffee and a sandwich. my son had an Oreo frappe. Everything was really good. The only thing I didn't enjoy much was the music a bit too loud for my taste and also the noise at the preparation bar. It was difficult to chat. You can pay cash or by card.

Worst Starbucks I’ve ever been
I waited 15 min in line. No bathroom there and is super cold inside.

Same old Starbucks. 10 pesos extra for lactos-free milk. Thats a rip off

Teaspoon Redwood City

September 24th: Ordered a Mango Silky through Doordash. I received the opposite. I don't if the employees don't like people of color or just don't care.

The mango sliky is delicious! The customer service is mediocre. The young man who works in this location always look so unhappy. I understand you don't want to work but at least fake a smile.

I've been to a few of their locations and they never disappoint.

My first time here in Redwood City and I tried the:

Matcha royal mango with oatmilk no boba- so amazing. I loved being able to see the layers and I could definitely taste the mango. Surprisingly,  the oat milk or the matcha didn't over power the mango. The flavors were just right and I couldn't get enough.   Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Cute little place for your boba craving. They have plenty to choose from, was hard to decide what I wanted to try first, of course I tried the Taro Lover. It has bit of taro in the drink, not too sweet and it was perfectly what I was craving. Staff was friendly and patient (needed time to look at the menu and decide which drink lol).

Best boba ever!! So many drink options and the staff always make sure we get the best experience. Shout out to Ryan who always makes my Thai Tea!! always such a fun guy to order from! 😁

One of the best bubble tea places in the South Bay. It’s worth trying everything on their menu, though especially Lady Bug and Taro Lover. They have seasonal drinks so you’ll never run out of options!
