Drybar - Roslyn Heights

I booked an appointment for Saturday morning very late on Friday evening. I was happy to get an appointment and when I got to the location, it was raining heavily and very hard to locate the door. This is inside a larger building with several gym and other facilities inside. Once you go into the front door, you go up the stairs and the dry bar is in the very back, just look for their yellow signature color.

The person who served me was very nice and competent from what I could see. My biggest disappointment was that after I made it to my event (The rain had cleared up by then and the weather was perfect) My curls did not stay up at all. This location was nearly double what I pay for blowouts and it was extremely disappointing to not have the curls last that day. I had specifically asked for a style that would last for one to two days and he used a generous amount of hairspray but it's still did not work. I will not be coming back for that reason.

I’ve been loyal to Drybar for years, starting in NYC and then LI and I recently had the WORST experience I have ever had. Helene was extremely rude, rough and dirty. I got to this location on time and was seen late. My mom happened to call me to ask me a question that would have literally taken 30 seconds and Helene immediately said you need to get off your phone. Everyone else was on their phone, why did I have to get off? That set the tone for the entire appointment and I couldn’t wait to get out of that chair. We started with blow drying and she was rude and rough in pushing my head down, left, right and back. In all of my years here, stylist alway ask kindly, and say, “tilt your head,” not physically push it down for me. Additionally, she burned my scalp multiple times with the blow dryer, and saw me flinch and continue to keep going. She also brushed my hair with a bunch of hair that was from her previous client. After she brushed mine, she cleaned the hair out and threw it on the floor right IN FRONT OF ME! Not only was that dirty then she started coughing on me and didn’t even cover her mouth. All of this made me decide not to tip and I always tip because of the time people take to do their jobs, but that also includes customer service. Of course I get to check out and she’s staring at me as I speak to the front desk girl, who by the way, she was also treated rudely by Helene. I’d like to point out that all of the younger stylist I’ve had here always treated me with kindness and respect. Helene may not be a millennial but she needs to work on being nicer to people. Haven’t you ever heard of the saying, “treat others the way you want to be treated.”

I love them all depending on where I'm going and what I'm feeling. Go to their website and look at what they offer. I'm also a fan of their products and luxiourios shampoo.

I had a morning appointment to get my hair done for an event. I waited for a half hour before I had to leave because I knew I would not make it to the event if I waited any longer. I had driven over a half hour to get to Drybar, so I ended up wasting an hour and a half. I rushed home and went to the event with my hair air dried. It was very disappointing and stressful.

While I was waiting at Drybar, there was no communication about how late they were running or even acknowledgement that people were waiting. When I told the receptionist I was going to leave, she only said I wouldn't be charged. She didn't say if I stayed another five minutes or ten minutes, they would be able to take me. There was also no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience.

If you have a special event, go somewhere that's more reliable, like Blo in Greenvale. Worst experience at a Drybar.

Brie is the best to ever do it! I have very long, thick hair and Brie blew out my hair so effortlessly. My curls lasted for days!l and it never dropped. She knows how to blow out cultural hair. Other stylists can a learn a thing or 2 from her. She is the actual best and the only reason I go to dry bar.

Radiant Skin and Laser Center

Andrea is a top notch skin care professional. She is not only one of the best on Long Island, she also treats her clients as if they were old friends. I have yet to find another salon that offers the level of care and and services that Radiant offers. Don’t settle for cheap, quick, sub par service. Everyone deserves the best when they pamper themselves. Radiant Skin Care is the best.

Love Radiant Skin & Laser!  I get IPLs done with Megan and she always does a wonderful job.  I can really tell a difference in my skin afterwards.  The environment here is always so serene and relaxing.  Highly recommend!

I've been using this Skin and Laser Center for at least the past 5 years.  The treatments I've had, monthly facials and recently massages, have been wonderful. The staff members and technicians  are professional and friendly.  I've used Melissa for the past few years and she is calming, friendly and attentive. But every technician I've used has been professional and friendly.  They all know what they are doing and care about maintaining their skills.  The rooms are private and they use and sell great products. I highly recommend  this business and I have not been paid to give this review.

Michele was spectacular! She spent so much time giving my mother a facial consultation. And the hair removal on her lip and chin was efficient and outstanding.  The place has a SPA like ATMOSPHERE which creates a feeling of relaxation and happiness.  We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

Love this place. Have had many different treatments here and they have all been phenomenal. Honestly, I have been to many salons and medical spas through the years and hands down this is by far the best. It is clean, Andrea and her staff are knowledgeable, skilled, patient, kind and warm. I travel from Queens and will not go anywhere else.

Drybar - Stamford

I have a large quantity of fine afro-textured hair with spiral curls. Because of this, the lack of weight causes it to be susceptible to frizz.

I booked a blowout and requested a sleek style with an added service to minimize frizz. I wrote detailed instructions about my hair texture and desired expectations to make sure the assigned stylist would feel confident in doing so. My appointment was rescheduled over the weekend after the initial stylist called out, I was informed it would be comped for the move. I really wanted to give it a try and went during the week because at least it would be covered. However, I wound up paying for the blowout anyway due to a lack of approval at the time of service but I was comped for the add-ons (which I found acceptable).

While I don't think my requested look was achieved, it was honorable that my stylist really did her best to accomodate me and work with textured hair. My roots are especially straight but the overall look is very frizzy which is not typical for me. It was a bummer to see these results coming out of the chair that worsened after 24 hours. :( I protected my style as soon as I arrived home and am used to more sleek results from my routine stylist. Usually my blowouts are sleek for 2 weeks but I will be getting it redone after my hair has had a chance to recover.

I think the Drybar is great for those who do not have hair as light, curly, and frizzy as mine so I will just stick with my curly stylist for when I want a sleek blown out style. I think they get an A+ for effort but, again, it is just not meant for someone who has such a tempermental hair texture as me. It sucks to have to shell out extra money and expose my hair to more heat damage when I wasn't planning on doing so previously. However, I wanted to post this as a watchout for those with hair like mine in the hopes they reach out to the salon directly to discuss their vision and if it is possible. I don't think I will be returning despite really enjoying the concept and delivery the Drybar does for others.

They were apx 1/2 an hour late. The hairstylist who did a very nice job was nice. She said my credit card was declined but it was fine so I used another card and I got charged on each card for the tip. I emailed them but no response.

I have always had great experiences at drybar.  They will style my hair just as i ask, with or without products, lots of curl or no curl.  Great place.

Kam gave me a gorgeous blowout giving all the mermaid vibes. He is super engaging with clientele and so amazing with hair! Five out of five, highly recommend. ✨

Horrific experience. 15 minutes late. Asked if I wouldn’t mind skipping the wash portion of my uptini because they were pressed for time. I said that’s fine. Then my “updo” was a literal 10 min wrap bun with some pins. No hairspray was even used. I was mortified leaving the salon and took it out immediately. I was still charged the full amount, and when called to discuss I wasn’t provided with any apologies or solutions.

Fleur Beauty Lounge and Blow Dry Bar

When I say that Lauren is a miracle worker, I am not being dramatic. She truly made magic happen on my hair!!

After an awful experience at another salon (see photos attached) I was in complete panic mode as I am leaving the country in a few days. I called Fleur and hoped they would be able to accommodate me super last minute. Thankfully, they did. Lauren was so sympathetic to my situation and validated my feelings. I just felt so hopeless at this point, all I knew was that anything she would do would be better than what I currently had. So, she took time to evaluate me, gave me a few options, we sat and discussed what my hair goals are- and then she got to work. She worked quickly and efficiently and kept reassuring me that everything would be okay.

Little did I know, “everything will be okay” was SUCH an understatement. When I saw my results, I was quite literally BLOWN AWAY. I couldn’t even believe what an amazing job she did. I was so happy and so relieved. I don’t think any other hair colorist would have been able to accomplish what Lauren did.

If you ever need any type of color done for your hair, LAUREN is your girl. Her chair side manner is excellent and her skills are unbeatable. I will not be using anyone else for my color from here on out. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair and it truly was the boost to my confidence that I needed.

Tiara did an amazing job with the blowout and straightening/styling my hair (and I have long/thick hair)! I always bring my laptop and get so much work done while on their WiFi, she has such a calm and peaceful presence, I walk out feeling great every time!

Liz is an absolute magician!! I came to Stamford for a wedding and decided to get my makeup done last minute. She made me feel beautiful and my makeup lasted and looked fresh all night long!!

Le Boudoir Blow Dry Bar - Darien

It’s great place for quick hair fix - whenever I need to go or to be ready for an event- LeBoudoir is my first place to go! Everyone, who did my hair so far, definitely knew what they were doing, and my blow dry lasted for long time. I highly recommend this salon for someone on the go, and who wants to look great in short period of the time. Definitely 5 ⭐️  ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon. I am a mother of a newborn and was really looking forward to having a blowout for my first time out at night for a gala.  My hair stylist blow dried my hair with a regular hair brush and didn’t even dry it through all the way.  After counting, she touched the round brush a total of 4 times.  My hair was completely flat with kinks and was wet underneath. After leaving, I went to another hair salon to have it completely rewashed and blown out. I do not recommend this place of business.

I scheduled a blowout as a treat for myself because I wanted to look nice at a wedding. Melanie was amazing, she really listened to what I wanted and was very conscientious about asking if it was ok to use certain products and all my style preferences. Can't wait to schedule with Melanie again.

The stylist wasn’t friendly. I asked her how long she had been there and she replied that it had been a long time and she didn’t seem happy about it. My suggestion to the salon is not to have her with a new client because she leaves little to be desired. Also, I had confirmation that I made a 1 PM appointment and even while I was there, I got an email confirming my 1 PM appointment but then I had a text saying my appointment was 1:15 PM. The system needs an update. When I asked a person that worked there what that was about she said that they go to lunch and that’s why my appointment was made for 1:15 PM. I didn’t get that explanation until I was physically there. I hate giving bad reviews, but I’m the type of consumer, that patronizes businesses that have good reviews, and I think it would be a disservice if I didn’t leave an honest one for this establishment.

Always a fan! Tamara is terrific. Quick, and amazingly styled. I have been a customer for years. I just wished New Canaan was still open. Awesome business!

Etre Beau Salon & Blow Dry Bar

Romina has been cutting my hair for the last 20 years.  She’s amazing!  Always professional, always a great stylish haircut and color.  I appreciate she stays current with trends.  She’s a great advisor as to what will look good or not.  I always walk away from my appointment feeling beautiful and stylish.  Thanks Romina for being you!!!

I've finally found a hair salon that I'm excited to go back to! I had about 4 inches I wanted to take off of my hair and Romina was able to cut and style exactly how I wanted it. The business is so clean and beautiful inside too. Can't recommend enough!

I highly recommend Miranda at Etre Beau Salon. She is the women to go to if you need your hair cut or straightened. My hair feels so light an airy it also looks so much healthier. Besides my hair looking fabulous, the experience with Miranda is transcendental. I highly recommend Miranda if you want a great experience for your hair and to relax.

Romina is a sweetheart and a pro & came highly recommended! While my own thinning mop of hair presented little challenge, she treated me no different than her A-list clients!

I had an awesome first time experience with Makenzie! She listened closely to my needs and did an amazing blowout. It was the best blowout I have ever gotten and lasted several days. Definitely will be going back!

I love this salon!  My family & I have been clients of Michele's for many years, when she owned a salon in New Canaan and currently in Wilton.  The hair care, styling, treatments, and products are exceptional.  And the atmosphere of the salon is friendly, welcoming, and relaxing, due to Michele and the wonderful stylists and staff.

I highly recommend this salon.  I have been seeing Michele for several years now and I couldn't be happier.  Michele is an excellent stylist and colorist and a wonderful human being on top of that. Beautiful salon and great staff. You should give them a try.

Manny has been my barber for the past 5 years and I’ve followed him around since. Eco Chic Salon is by far the best salon he’s cut at yet. The perfect place for him to work his magic. Make sure to drop by and let him work that magic on your hair. Definitely won’t regret it!

I have been going to Artistic Image for over 20 years.  The owner Patty does such a wonderful job!  I've watched her grow her business and I can't think of a more deserving, hardworking person to be successful then Patty.   She has helped me over the years figure out some hair issues that my doctor couldn't!  I am so glad I listened to her!  Problem solved.  I've also had the pleasure of having a few of the other stylists in the shop do a great job too!  Recently, Breanna has highlighted, cut and styled my hair beautifully.  She has a great touch!  I really felt great when I left there!  They all are professional, talented and care about their customers.  Thank you for always being there for me over the years!  I appreciate the wonderful, caring service!

Excellent blow outs and color. I haven’t cut my hair yet but I’m sure they will do a great job. Gabriella is amazing. I also know Brianna. She is excellent. And lately I had my long, wavy and frizzy hair blow out by Claudio and he did a great job. They are so friendly and make you feel relaxed! It’s my favorite hair salon near Westport.

They're great here!  I tried other places before coming here and had the privilege of overpaying for a mediocre cut.  But not here.  They are talented and the prices are reasonable.  Best of all, it's you that really matters.  They took excellent care of my daughter before the Jr Prom.  She didn't know what she needed to have done for the effect she wanted and Dream and Patty went the extra mile to make sure she was happy.

I came in today having pretty much no shape to my hair, and it was almost all the way down my back after over a year of not cutting it. Patty did an outstanding job transforming it with some soft layers and curtain bangs! Artistic Image never disappoints!

Blow Dry

Great shop and service. However needs a make over, take a look at the ceiling at the very dirty and near clogged air vent. For the amount charged for all their services, it's time for a new coat of paint, and to spruce up the stations, chairs, etc...

Love this place!! I go all the time and my blowouts are beautiful.  Kelsey, Patrice, and Desiree are fabulous. If you need makeup done Desiree is exceptional.
The owners are great too.  I even go to their other salon Greg & Tony for cut and color.  Erin is top notch.

Had a great experience and will definitely be back! Had a blowout by Christiana and makeup with lashes done by Jessie. Highly recommend both of them. They listened to exactly what I was looking for and checked in with me frequently to make sure I was happy. Thank you!

I don't know if I had a bad stylist or if my stylist was having a bad day but, I'll tell ya, I did NOT have a good experience here.  I showed my stylist how I wanted my long, thick hair styled.  The only thing she was able to accomplish which has never been accomplished with my hair before was make it look limp and lifeless.  She used one small round brush and a dryer on heat that was so high it was burning my scalp.  When she was done, I asked if she was going to use any product (at this point, I was desperately hoping she was far from done).  She responded with, "well I can give you some hair spray?"  In 10 minutes, I can style my hair infinitely better than what I paid $40 for.  The worst part was this was for a Christmas party.  I had spent so much money on my outfit and makeup, I wanted a hair do to match.  Letting my hair air dry would have been better than the blow dry I got here.

There are other good places in the area though.  Hair right down the street has done a fabulous job and I've heard good things about Pink Soda.

I LOVE this place!!! What a treat to come in and have Clarissa blow out my hair perfectly!! Hands down best blow out ever! they are so friendly and professional and it doesn't break the bank! My treat to myself is a weekly visit!! I highly recommend it!!!

ASH Hair Salon & Blow Dry Bar

Kat is now my forever stylist for everything! She is PHENOMENAL. I’ve had the toughest time finding someone for my hair type , for me to actually love my hair leaving the salon. I finally found her! Very detailed oriented, listens to what you want, and the outcome is nothing short of Amazing! Love her!!!!

Also it was my first time at this salon. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. Which is very important to me! Everyone was so nice too!!

I initially went to Kat for a keratin treatment (which was amazing and I will be getting another over the summer) and I observed her giving another client a haircut while I was getting my hair washed. Seeing her technique and style I KNEW I would be back for a haircut. Her haircuts are nothing short of amazing.  She’s been correcting some choppy layers I received from a previous stylist  while also keeping most of my length. I swear she has magic hands because my hair is growing like wildfire after her cuts. She is also such a beautiful person both inside and out! Can’t wait to be back soon !!!

I’ve been going to Kat at ASH for over a year now, and she never fails to amaze me with how well she does my hair! My blonde stays fresh well in between appointments, and my hair has never been healthier! 10/10 recommended her and this salon I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

This is a wonderful salon, and I cannot recommend it enough! My hair was recently rescued by the amazing salon owner, Kat! I had gone for highlights at another area salon, but they turned out very over-processed and streaky. Kat did a fantastic job restoring my hair to a more natural color. She also provided a deep conditioning treatment that helped fix my hair's dryness. She is incredibly talented. I have already scheduled a follow-up appointment in a few months!
