Drybar - Summit

It’s was okay… my stylist was very sweet but I paid extra for an extra 10 minute scalp massage and she started the timer once she shampooed my hair and played mostly with my ends and barely massaged my scalp. She did not seem too knowledgeable on how to keep my hair to stay, I explained to her how my hair is and she either did not care or did not want to do my hair. I kept emphasizing I needed my hair to stay and it’s now been 2 hours and it’s basically flat and all the curls have fallen out. She also tried to give me volume but lifted the back portion of my hair so much it looked so off from the front. All it all I don’t think worth $90 and I could’ve just done it all myself! Maybe it was my stylist but don’t know if I’d be eager to try again

Karisma has been my stylist for about a year. She’s terrific and very talented. Always warm and accommodating and eager to please.  I love coming here!

Two stars because my stylist was very accommodating and kind at the beginning but the rest of the staff were very stand-offish and borderline rude I really couldn’t wait till my service was over to leave! At the end of my service my stylist was a bit rude but it was more awkward than anything else overall was a bad experience I won’t be returning to this location I wasn’t expecting to be so disappointed I walked in very excited and left feeling like I was a burden to them! I made an appointment showed up on time didn’t request anything extra or had any questions and it was still very weird strange encounter and also they were replacing the front door during my appointment it was so loud and cold in there the few locations in Manhattan i visited before are 10x better kind accommodating and have friendly conversation recommend products to purchase definitely worth the drive

Went today and used my barfly credit. WORST BLOWOUT- usually my dry bar styles  taken 1.5 hours, I have this listed when I book as well as my hair type. I tried calling and was told they were busy seeing other clients to confirm they had someone able to do my hair.

I went in and received a 35 minute poofy blowout and straightening done by two people at one point the third person came over to complain they person she serviced didn’t even tip her and they took turns laughing.

My stylist was already waiting to blowout another client so I wasn’t able to address my discomfort with the style before leaving. After getting home I noticed sections of my hair are still moist.

I don’t even know my stylists name because she never introduced herself or the second person working on my hair .

Amazing 10/10. I have curly hair and I was truly amazed by the magic that Charisma performed on my hair. She was so kind and did an amazing job. Will for sure be coming back

Radiant Waxing Westfield

First time at Radiant Waxing. Place was clean, comfortable and well managed. My technician, Melissa did a great job. She was pleasant, a good communicator and made me feel relaxed. I would definitely return for another service.

I had Rachel for my wax she’s also the manager, she was super nice and gentle. I felt super comfortable going into my wax and they are super super clean and hygienic. The ladies in the front desk were very welcome and they explained any questions you may have.

The only downside for this place is parking be prepared to not find any street parking and will have to pay across the street but it’s super cheap.

Loved Emily. It was my first time for a Brazilian. She was great, made me feel at ease and kept me talking that I forgot to be embarrassed. Would 100% recommend her.  Thank you Emily.

Excellent service by Melissa. This was my first time at this location, I went with Melissa based on previous reviews of her work. She was very kind, gentle and reassuring. I was nervous about my appointment but she was amazing . Happy to say I will be returning in 4 weeks . Thanks Mel🤎

My wax specialist Allie was amazing! She was very thorough, gentle, and quick… the environment was clean and very peaceful… I will definitely be returning.

Drybar - Palo Alto

Fun place to go! I went before a holiday party to treat myself. The only thing is I wish they used a bitttttt less product because I felt like my hair was weighed down a lot. It seemed like they weren’t really sure what to use given specific hair types and more had general heavy hairspray! I’m sure service varies person to person though and I’d definitely return with some girl friends!

This place is horrible. The first time when I booked the appointment a month ago they called me close to the appointment day and changing the time which resulted my other schedule conflict. The second time when I booked, which was yesterday, they called me the day of, cancelling my appointment without any compensation. They said they only had one stylist and she called in sick. So as a business you have no backup plan if the person calls in sick? Also offers nothing to compensate the customer? They do charge a cancellation fee to customer who cancels last minute but apparently the other way around it is completely ok. I asked to speak with the manager and the reception person said the manager would call me back and they did not call me back. Absolutely disgusted at this salon for unacceptable customer service. How can you cancel appointments all the time without any compensation? Very disappointed and will not return or recommend anyone to go there.

I have visited Drybar Palo Alto tens of times. Generally it’s a good experience. I go there before important events so it’s not the kind of appointment that I can just reschedule to another day. Today, I received an email saying “Thank you for canceling your appointment. We’ll see you next time.” I called because the email was an error, and the person who answered indicated that they cancelled on me due to staffing. No phone call or apology. So if you are booking blowouts for important events, do not consider your appointment at drybar palo alto reliable.

This place is severely short staffed. Expect long delays and absolute inconvenience. I felt horrible for the stylists who were attending to clients and managing client intake since they did not have a receptionist.

I had an appointment here but they cancelled because of their poor scheduling abilities. I was super looking forward to getting my hair done for our anniversary dinner….. we never get to go on date nights with a new baby so I was just really excited. Very disappointed…… this would have been my very 1st time here…… good 1st impression 👍🏼

Blo Blow Dry Bar

Love this salon, always good service and easy to book appointments. Tatjiana gave me the most beautiful braid for my friends engagement party. It was easy to wear and lasted all night without a ton of hairspray and product. I was even able to wear my hair down the next day without washing it.

The worst blow out experience I have had in my life - very rude and unpleasant stylist; only took 10 minutes, did not use any products for volume or shine; nothing... my hair was flat and limp.  Will not return and would not recommend.

I was in town for a wedding so I made an appointment with this salon and I’m so glad I did! Tatiana did such an amazing job with my hair! She used my clip-in extensions and did loose curls. I got so many compliments on my hair! She also gave me an awesome head massage and did a hair mask. The salon is clean and everyone working there was so nice.

absolutely amazing! took my little sister here to get braids for her end of school field day; we had Jameelah and she was awesome! kind, funny, and fast! my sister was also super happy about the braids! they had a great texture and were very well done, better than most in the past that were more expensive! highly recommend!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Blo! From start to finish, I have always had an amazing experience! The front desk staff and hair stylists are so welcoming and friendly and always make me feeling like my best self. The staff at Blo is always so accommodating to my busy schedule. I have even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kari, on many occasions who is always so sweet and nice. She has always made sure that myself and the other guests have had wonderful experiences every time I have seen her. Blo is such a great addition to the area and they consistently provide exceptional services!

Drybar - Burlingame

they were 35 minutes late from my appointment not sure how this could be even acceptable, it is 45 minutes long service. On the other hand, they charge $35fee if you are late. What a scam. If you want to get your hair washed with blowout and sit and wait for $59 this is the place

The new manager - Trish - has done an awesome job bringing this place back online after an extended closure. Her leadership and attention to detail creates a great customer experience that has brought me back to DryBar.

I had my first drybar appointment yesterday and it wasn't great. My stylist was good but the customer service was lacking. I booked an express appointment and when she took me to the back to start washing my hair, I was confused. She thought I was getting a full blowout, not the express. It was the salon/stylist's mistake and they charged for the full blowout which cost me $20 more than I planned. They did not own their mistake and honor my original booking of the express style. As a first time customer, I had no knowledge of the process and that I was getting an upcharged treatment.

I'm writing this review to warn others of the bait and switch that was done to me. I have not been able to contact the salon due to the e-mail not working and phone line going to voicemail. Because of this treatment, this is both my first and last appointment with DryBar.

I called the number for this location and it went to their corporation's hotline. The lady on the phone helped me book an appointment. I asked for a dry styling ($25) at 6pm on 12/31. I arrived for my appointment and the hair stylist was not familiar with the hair style I wanted. I had to show her a YouTube video on how to do it. She did do a pretty good job though and was really friendly. When checking out the snobby receptionist asked if I wanted to give a tip. I said yes and she said she'd email me the receipt. When I received the email receipt later it said I had been scheduled for a blowout ($49).... So I was charged $49 plus my tip. I reached out to Buttercup@thedrybar but they are blaming me for booking a blowout... Ridiculous.

The positive is that they fit me in super last minute, all the staff as pretty friendly and attentive.
The negative is that the girl (jasmine) was extreamly rough brushing my hair and pulled out multie Extentions. And when it came to straightening my hair she said her hands hurt and I ended up finishing the rest.!
Not the service I expected from a dry bar but hey at least my hair was clean …

Drybar - Garden State Plaza

Came in to get a blow out - particularly the southern comfort, which is my favorite style. However, Ashley, went above and beyond to make sure I got that glamorous volume. She did not disappoint!!! Best southern comfort blowout I’ve had at Dry Bar so far. For me, there is no such thing as too much volume, and she exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Ashley. She is very talented and so sweet! Will be back for Ashley & her fabulous blowouts - Wonderful experience. ❤️

If you ever need a hair transformation or a quick pick me up, Drybar at Garden state plaza is the place to go. The wash was relaxing and left my hair shiny and silky. I love the beautiful waves that I chose today and with so many options, I try a new one each visit. Nakisha my stylist is excellent and thorough, I get so many complements when I leave the salon. The best is I recommend Drybar to all my family and friends plus I’m a repeat customer. Thanks for excellent customer service and some great hair product recommendations for moisture, curls, sheen and the options are endless .

Everytime I come here for a blowout, I leave so happy. Ashley is so accommodating from beginning to end. One of the last times I went, I left a little less than satisfied. After bringing it to Ashley’s attention she immediately followed up and asked me to see her and to return for a blowout with her. Now every time I see her she makes me feel amazing and makes sure I’m satisfied each time. She always goes above and beyond each time, no matter how busy she or the salon is. I’m so thankful for her and definitely recommend her and this Drybar!

Ashley did my southern comfort blowout and the entire experience was amazing. These are the curls after running around the airport for a few hours. 10/10 recommend!

Highly recommend! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean and organize. Amelia is excellent . She made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. And do not think it can get any painless than that she truly has angel hands 😊 . Will definitely be coming back.

5 stars all around! First time here and I was very impressed. For years I was loyal to a competitor. But after finding out their membership program for Brazilians I just had to make the switch. The place is super clean. Amelia took great care of me and was super informative. I had always done my Brazilians with hard wax. Here, it was done with soft wax. The Brazilian was wayyy less painful than I thought it would be. I made a good decision switching over to here.

10/10 experience! I got a blow out for my birthday weekend and loved how it came out. Andrea was friendly and efficient. The whole process was so seamless and I love the results. Will definitely be coming back to the Blo Blow Dry Bar to see my girl Andrea!! 🩷

I got my makeup done here for my wedding. My wife and our wedding party got their hair and makeup done here. Everyone came out looking how they wanted and they kept on schedule with everyone. The salon was relaxed and fun. My makeup had a trial to test it out and the day-of version came out exactly as we’d worked it out in the trial. I was very happy with the entire experience.

As a hairstylist, I’m very picky about my blow outs and I was SO IMPRESSED by my blow out with Stephanie! I asked her blow dry and set it with pins because I had a wedding later in the evening and she did an AMAZING JOB. I got compliments on my hair all night and it lasted so well. Go to Stephanie.

Adorable blow drive bar with very friendly staff. Their online system makes it very easy to make an appointment. I loved the products that they used on my hair and they were always gentle. My blow dry lasted twice as long as it usually does and my hair stylist gave me tips on how to take care of it when I go to bed. 100% would recommend this place.

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I can't anymore. I have been coming to this salon twice per month since last December and even became a member.

When I arrived, I told the stylist (who I hadn't worked with before) that I needed to use my laptop because there were some emergencies I needed to address. She seemed understanding. My request for the day was simple: a blow-dry and quick styling before I could leave. She asked, "A little puff, okay?" I nodded, and that was it.

While my hair was being cooled, I suddenly felt a burning sensation on my scalp. I turned slightly and informed the stylist. This has happened before with different stylists at this salon, but usually, they would adjust my head, their wrists, or the temperature, and we would continue without any issues. I completely understand that mistakes can happen.

However, today was different. The stylist became defensive and denied any responsibility:
* 		"You kept looking at the computer, so it's your fault."
* 		"Do you even want me to finish your hair?" (repeated three times)
* 		"I have to perform the procedure at a certain angle, and your head is too low."
* 		"I'm not hurting your scalp; the hairdryer has to be at this angle."
* 		"You can leave if you want."

I have no problem with clear communication or accommodating the stylist's requirements. They could have even asked me to put away my laptop to make the procedure easier for them. However, denying my feelings that my scalp was burned is unacceptable. Using a high-temperature hairdryer carelessly and displaying a passive-aggressive attitude towards me is not professional.

The front desk lady was able to cancel this appointment under my membership and showed understanding. Thank you for that. However, considering there are many other hair salons in the Jersey City area, I have decided to speak with your manager regarding a refund and will be going to other places.
