Coffee Cup Travel Plaza Steele - TA Express

Really nice gas station and service plaza just off the interstate. This place includes not only the convenience store but also has a Caribou Coffee, Subway, Pizza Hut and Cinnabon. Options, folks. Options.

Easy access, clean restrooms and plenty of room to park for a quick snooze, then top off with coffee and continue onwards.

Decent roadside stop on the way back to MN. Nice outdoor picnic areas and a small dog park for the furry family members to stretch their legs.
Clean soapy water for the windshield.

This gas station was one of few options on 94, but I’m glad because it’s a great option! They had windshield cleaning tubs with fresh soap water, and the window scrubbers had long handles to reach across the car. They also have caribou coffee and Cinnabon! The coffee was a little bitter, but better than your typical gas station coffee. The cinnamon rolls were good, but the full size rolls are definitely superior. The service here was nice! There’s also a nice playground next door if the kids need to stretch.

The store was beautifully put together. Lots of trinkets to purchase. They got a 1 star rating because they charged me for ice in my own cup and I’m a truck driver. Not to mention that  all truck stops has raised the prices on fuel and everything now I’m having to pay for ice in my own cup. It was the first time for that to happen . I will preplan better so I never have to stay there again

Busy little place, but had lots of open pumps, gas was 20¢ cheaper than 5 miles up the road and the  bathroom was one of the cleanest I’ve seen! I saw they had a nice little family area and dog area, but didn’t have time to stop. They had plenty of food options, car needs, even GPSs, headsets, dog/cat food and notebooks. They also had 5 gallon buckets with extra long glass cleaners for us short people.  Highly recommend.

Shell

This place is an absolute dive. It’s been a mess for years. The pumps outside don’t work properly, if you try to use your Kroger points it will say you have revived your however much a gallon off and the. When you insert your credit card it takes so long to read it resets and eventually will take the transaction but you lose your Kroger points. Unfortunately the interstate keeps the place open. Also some of the attendants lack hygiene.

Me: Sets 2 White Claws on the counter
Cashier: Rings them up at regular price
Me: The sign says 2 for 5
Cashier: ummmm I think that’s a different one
Me: Opens the cooler to show the big yellow 2 for $5 White Claw sign
Cashier: Ummm I don’t know, it might be wrong
Me: Oooook then

Do yourself a favor if you need to hit a gas station and travel this stretch often and go to the carlock gas station. Get this type of service often here

You know it’s nasty when you refuse to touch the sink fixtures to wash your hands

The workers are friendly and kind, the convenience store is somewhat unorganized. Building is older and not in the best shape, but the Subway attached is a nice feature. Workers never stay around long (the longest I think I’ve seen one stay there was around four months) but it is the only gas station in Goodfield.  Now if a Casey’s happened to open across the interstate, by all means go there!

I hate leaving negative reviews. Sadly this is the only gas station in Goodfield, so we have to take what we can get. There is a high staff turnover rate here, allegedly due to management. I sat several minutes at the pump today waiting for cashier approval until I finally went in and saw a line of people with no cashier to be found. I would suggest waiting until you get to Carlock to fill up if you can.

Had to stop here to make use of the bathroom and the main area of the store is amazing and in good condition as well as good quality gas the bathroom is in poor condition, rather unsanitary looking and covered in vulgar graffiti.

Gas prices are usually cheaper than the truck stop down the road and the staff are ALWAYS friendly. They also have pellet ice for fountain drinks. Love this place

Best place to stop and grab a fountain ski in bond county.  Workers keep it a nice clean store as well.

Clean gas station and convenience store stocked with snacks and cold.beverages. Very good gas prices and top tier Shell fuel.

The people that work at the Dairy Queen are awesome the food is awesome the gas station is very clean but do not use the car wash that is self automated I unfortunately put $5 in expecting to get $5 and change out so that I could wash my car by hand but instead it would not give me my money back so I took my car through the car wash machine and it caused so much damage to my paint job as well as a few small dents of my Dodge Charger and I'm going to have to have my entire car painted do not use the self- automated car wash at all I know they give you warnings for this stuff but do not take your nice car through this machine it will destroy it completely destroy it and the worst part is there's nothing that can be done about this even on their security cameras it will show all of this happening but that's why they put the warnings up so that it covers their butts $7,000 in Damages that's how much it will cost to repaint my car and repair the small dents do not use this car wash it is garbage it is meant for cleaning off tractors or perhaps taking in Dirty Old refrigerators or something and setting them inside of the Bay that's about the value of this car wash $7,000 in Damages

Great food and customer service. The Elderly woman that works in the morning she is the best,very friendly.

Now this is one to keep under the sleeve, great staff, full service truck stop and good food. Plenty of parking and a Motel right next door. You can't complain about it.

Horrible customer service and overpriced; no idea why anyone would even stop here, especially truckers, they didn't even have any hot food.  Much better off going to the Dixie one exit down; they at least had roller grill items and the cashier was nice.

Good service, staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome, if you're looking for a good comfort food and possible heart issues get an order of their fries!! They are delicious no matter how unhealthy they are for you!!

The people who have taken over after Pete has left are very rude. They have one cashier Kristie I think that's her name, she's pretty nice she's short and has blonde hair a little chobby. No offense.

They are not actually open 24 hours and I wish they'd fix that for their website so people can know the accurate times that the buisness is available for service.

Says they are open 24. They aren't and not to mention they have no pumps at all for gas. After we drove 10miles to get to them.

Customer of 25 plus years to be accused of stealing when I got a gift card for xmas my father paid for and use it but they can’t figure out own system only to be called a thief and tell me not to come back. This store is trash and went down hill. Maybe fix your system and talk to a customer who pays for stuff and with professionalism I know that’s a big word. No apologies this store is garbage… corporate is notified and reported.

Jessica was very rude to me. I needed to switch pumps because the one I was at was a prepay and I came back and she said loudly in a sarcastic tone "OH YOUR STILL HERE?!?!?" Just because I needed to switch pumps. Very very poor service. I will make sure to tell my friends and family so they don't go through the same treatment. I have been a Shell customer for 15 years...

I had gotten $15 in gas and $20 in cash back and they ended up charging my card 3 times for $35, for a total of $105 in charges that overdraft maybank account, after 4 phone calls between shell and my bank, I now have to print off a document, drive the shell, and then submit the document for corporate to look at while my bank account sits in overdraft status.

I will NEVER come to this gas station again.

Now and then there are bad cashiers but usually they are nice. It's easy to find what you need and it's gas pumps are accessible

The heavyset woman with the dark hair and glasses is the absolute complete rudest person that works here! Someone should contact cooperation for this location! First off my first time purchasing pick your number tickets (power ball) and I made sure I go in while it's not busy (one person in line). Only one cashier the elder woman with the grey hair and glasses was doing their job while the other two employees were outside smoking their nasty cigarettes by the entrance. While I'm picking my numbers and the woman is trying to figure it the system the line behind me begins to grow. The heavyset woman and the other coworker finally come in after the line grew a little longer and they finished their cigarette, she had the audacity to through some paper at me and tell me that next time fill them out, becausebec don't have time for that! Excuse me! You had no right to leave one person at the register at a gas station while the both of you smoke your cancer sticks! You had time for that though? You're unprofessional and should loose your job!

Shady cramped little station with rude ignorant people. The manager Lori is especially awful. Avoid this place.

I was driving through Oglesby and stopped by this store. The service and customer experience I got was something different. Its rare to find some great customer service across the states nowadays, so FIVE STARS*

Attendants are always nice, she'll premium Gas is well, probably better then any other although the price does tend to be a bit high compared to others, but with shells rewards you can offset that.  Can't beat good gas though...

A bunch of liars and grifters.

Prepaid inside with debit for gas 2 different times.  Both times was charged a pre authorization fee.  They said I had to have paid at the pump for that to happen.  They need to be up to date on how their system works.  I will not be going back EVER!!!

The lady (store manager) told me I was lying, that their system doesn’t pre authorize when you pay inside for gas.  I told her it did and she tried to argue with me that that wasn’t the case … even after I had talked to her on the phone following the previous time it had happened.

One of your staff member name (BOBBIE) continuously BEGS for free food and are harassing my crew member! He drives by and see if we have FREE FOOD! We aren’t able to go to the gas station peaceful and buy things due to us feeling VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! Due to him continuously asking and begging for free food!

As I was putting gas in my truck my mother who had been inside informed me that the attendant on duty, July 6, 2022 at 845am scolded her for placing a small bag of garbage two cups and some.napkins into the can at the front door. Also said there's a dumpster for large bags in back. This was not a large bag!

Fuel price is good for shell but at night you can’t pay at the pump without going inside to prepay. If you’re topping off you have to pre authorize an amount more than what you typically fill and then wait for the credit back to your credit card. Just authorize pay at pump like every other gas station. I’ll start going to another station it’s a waste of time going inside.

Price on the pump is higher than on the sign! The cashier said it was right on her system so she doesn't know what she can do about it. First pump I went to did not even work! I had to go to a different pump just to find out they are trying to rip off their customers!!
